[ROM] Epic ROM for Mi MIX 2 (Chiron) Multilanguage_By MrRaines {From Epic Team}

Greetings MIUI-ers!!!​
Jamflux, Pocarropa, and MrRaines (MrTomatico on en.miui), creators of Épic ROM, we are glad to present Épic ROM for Xiaomi Mi MIX, who was born thanks to the hard work of these guys. Epic ROM is a Custom ROM based on MIUI, but with some mods and improvements that you can see below on features chapter.
The focus of this ROM is improve MIUI official stock on many devices making many mods and improve Xiaomi sellers to get a bigger MIUI-ers family!
**IMPORTANT ADVISE : Install at your own risk on your device (Mi MIX in this case). We are not responsible of any damage on your device. Read carefully instructions before install.
Requirements:
-Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 (Chiron)
-Unlocked Bootloader (official unlock to prevent issues)
-Custom Recovery (TWRP Recovery is highly recommended)
-Read all thread before proceed
-Love for technology and most important: Love for Xiaomi!

How to install first time
* First of all, make a complete backup of all your photos and internal data in the computer, since the first installation requires to eliminate ALL the sdcard content, given the encryption of Android Nougat and later; the one that warns you is not a traitor, you are going to lose all the data (just as it happens if you install other ROMS). This is due to (in turn) that if we have not formatted the sdcard, it will not boot for security protection data of the cited encryption,
* With TWRP Recovery (read tutorials on how to install it) we will make another backup, but this time System, Data, Cache, Boot, and especially the EFS (important).
* Download the ZIP flasheable and pass it to the internal memory of the phone (no matter if we have already formatted it or not).
* Restart on TWRP recovery
* Make Wipes: System, Data, Dalvik, Cache.
* Install from Recovery the EpicROM ZIP flasheable and wait for it to appear okay (If you get error 7 the TWRP in the step of "formating system / extracting system", restart in recovery immediately, and reinstall it, this is due that in Nougat you must re-generate the system partition for encryption topics, so it will install you, it should work like the rest of us )
* We reboot in fastboot mode once the rom has been installed correctly. To do this, we can do it from TWRP in REBOOT / Fastboot or by holding down the power button and the volume down button until FASTBOOT and Mitu appear by soldering an Android robot. In this step, we connect the mobile to the computer, and in the same folder that can be downloaded from en.miui.com/unlock (to unblock the bootloader) click inside that folder in a blank space in the right mouse click while holding the SHIFT key on the keyboard; a window will appear and the "open command window" option should appear. We tapped on that window. When it opens, if you open powershell (blue screen) from windows 10, type cmd and press enter. If you open the classic cmd of all life (BLACK SCREEN) we are already where we want.
* Type in the cmd (be powershell or cmd) fastboot format userdata and press enter. There will be formatted all our mobile, and restarting it will work everything.
* Restart normally and configure. Remember that the first start takes a little longer, from there, it will always light fast. In the following versions, it will NOT BE MISSING to do all this, just install without wipes and to run. I already adapt it so that I clean what I have to clean with each update EXCEPT that I expressly say something else in that UPDATE.
* Enjoy (and re-pass all data previously backed up to the internal memory).
How to install UPDATE from Epic ROM 6.X.XX / 7.X.XX
Download Epic OTA with OTA app from Settings (No MIUI Updater, use EPIC OTA!)
You can also download update manually from en.miui forum or htcmania spanish forum
Install update from Epic OTA or from TWRP Recovery manually
You don't need to wipe anything if we don't say it on update! If you have to do some special, we will let you know

Known bugs: Stable build, but Security app crashes in virus scan section, it is normal due languages update. In the next update will be fixed!
Current Status: Tested 100%; ROM Stable and TWRP by MrRaines works in all MIUI roms!!

so for 5 days i have spend 3 to 4 hours per day trying to figure out how to have mi unlock recognize my mi mix 2 and nothing i am done! i need to unlock the bootloder never had a problem with all previous mi phones and i had them all please help [email protected] please reply with subject line mi mix 2 help thank you
hope to hear from you soon other wise this phone is worthless to me and will sell for $400 ( its the 128gig version) ofcorse its brand new as i cant frekin get it going lol
im getting much older now and i guess i cant retain much instructions as i no longer have the focus needed. please help by remoting in to my computer or ? i will pay more if i must as i really need the lte networks for fast data all other phones i have work only 3g in my area i can offer my mi note 2 for you instead if you like i understand this is off topic i don't know who else to turn to believe me i have tried and now i give up.

Hello, quick question: Will Android 8 be available for Mi Mix 2? I thought the phone would be released with 8 Android version, but it's not. Any chance this phone get 8?

Only problem I have found so far is with my usb-c headphones es.
The controls on the headphones don't work.
When I had the original 7.9.22 beta global rom installed the controls on the usb-c headphones worked to change volume or change tracks.

Install vpn turbo and set it to use Shanghai you can then add your mi account to the phone in the developer options, unlock section . After that then the mi unlock app to unlock.

It's the encryption/decryption stuff. I done it twice. [emoji849] bit yes it kind of sucks. Lots of copying stuff [emoji58]

Please add, for the next update, a mod to expand notification, maybe by swipe, and a mod to close the folder automatically after start a app from folder and the Rom would be perfect.

yeah well i guess what is important is health service running so maybe my question was badly phrased..i dont use samsung health ..i just need other health application to open sensors on phone ..in some rom they fc or cant open sensor error ..*even with correct permissions*
i will try it later when i have time cos stock based rom is always big size and takes time to download if you dont run on fibre optics

The secure folder is present but only usable by a few system apps, you aren't able to use it since this rom is de-knoxed

i installed this rom a week ago and i find it smooth and beautiful
but there is some improvement the dev can make:
the brightness when in auto mode is too low.
when streaming video to chromecast it disconnect after a while, so I can no more use my S7 as a remote control
anyway nice rom, hope you will continue the dev of it !

Thank you very much for the support!
I don't own a chromecast so im unable to replicate such problem, i will look into the auto brightness sometime and last but no least planned updates will include updates to system apps, updated magisk and security patches untill the base of the firmware is changed.

my second sim has no signal in dual 4G mode
very pleased with this rom but has one annoying bug. my second sim can't active in dual 4G mode. i don't know what happen. in stock rom, my sim card had a great signal reception.

Even I faced this issue today while first time try this awesome rom... ?
Then I dial *#*#4636#*#* and click phone info 2
Then select there LTE only.. everything get fix automatically..

Use flashable zip for pie(max pro m1 stock camera). Debloat manually...use magisk module or anything..

is it optimised for 3gb version?

LED notification light not working for apps !

Sim data issue
After installing this rom Internet is not working in most of the apps using sim, wifi is working fine.

Try Security < Data Usage < Restrict data usage and select the preferred Sim for the apps and restart the device. Turn off wifi and turn on data. They should work,
If this doesn't work, open Security < Data Usage < Restrict data usage and unselect all the sims for the apps which you want and restart the device. Open the app,. Turn off wifi and turn on data. If it asks select the preferred sim and allow network permission.
If the above steps don't work, clean flash the rom again.

Let me be clear on my issue.... Data us working in apps BUT the speed is too slow.... It takes 30-40 seconds to change from 1 page to other in most of the apps.. CROME browser is working fine.... Downloads are working really fast.... Playstore is working okay. I tried clean flash too....but no luck. I really love this rom over the original asus rom. Plz help.

Then, you can try rooting your device by flashing Magisk and use build prop tweaks for better performance.

I'm not sure if this helps for your device. I tried those tweaks on Acer Liquid Z630S and they were very useful.
Try those at your own risk. Rooting may void your warranty. Those Tweaks may brick your Android device. Make sure that you take a complete backup of your ROM using a custom recovery. I am not responsible if you brick your device.
If you want your banking apps to work, use Magisk hide.

Hello, Rinku. Welcome back. I heard you stopped developing ROMs and gave the responsibility to dhrubjeet datta . I hope you keep developing such beautiful Stable ROMs.
I'm currently using MiUi11 MiRoom 20.3.26. How do I install MiUi12 MiRoom 20.5.21? Also, recently the phone starts heating when playing games or charging. I tried using Ultra battery saver mode to cool down the phone but still the phone doesn't cool down.
Please tell me how to flash MiUi12 MiRoom 20.5.21.

[ROM][A515F/DS][OneUI 3.1 - S20 Port] Just4Fun v1

HELLo everyone...
After several weeks, months and before Android 12 released, i decided to share this ROM to this A51 community. Hopefully you guys enjoy it and don't offend me if the ROM is bad, so....let's get it ON.
Things to do before flashing:
1. Make sure you're on binary 5 (this ROM tested and using binary 5 vendor, so to avoid any broken or whatever error flash your device with latest firmware).
2. Backup your IMEI (highly recommended).
Flashing:
1. Clean flash is recommended. Flash kernel, flash J4F vendor and system.img, flash multy disabler (if necessary) then full wipe and also you can perform "typing YES" format. Reboot to recovery again, then flash as usual you guys always do (Magisk etc.).
ROM Features from S20 and Note 20 line up:
1. Samsung Dex (not full features coz need fix at kernel level).
2. Flagship live blur
3. Flagship edge lighting style
4. AirCommand (S pen)
5. LiveDrawing
6. Multy screen resolutions (HD+ - FHD+ - WQHD+)
7. 1000++ system fonts
8. Flagship sound quality and effects
9. Camera features unlocked (pro video etc.)
10. All original A51 features
11. Common tweaks here and there and so many possibility to unlock another S20 features
Bugs:

Advise and Tips:
- It's normal during first boot if lags occurs, give the ROM some times to settle, finish your setup, update your apps and you good to go..
- It's better to avoid update in Galaxy store related to system app, such as MDE Service Framework, Samsung Core Services etc. It might causing conflict due to mixed up firmware. But anyway it's up to you.
- Please do not complain regarding app missing (getting debloated) and related to debloat. Because it's very hard to acomodate every person's taste. Bloatware is very Objective and absurd for each person and I know it's supposed to be using Aroma installer or any script but i don't have time that much to do that.

Greetings...
I'm gonna put this in short and sweet.
Very good for those who lazy in reading.
So, this custom ROM based on S20 FVC and A51 FVD2. ROM packed with 3 images: system/vendor/kernel.img. Unpack first and flash!!!!!
Things to do before flashing:
1. Make sure you're on binary 5 OneUI 4.1 (this ROM tested and using binary 5 vendor, so to avoid any broken or whatever error flash your device with latest firmware).
2. Backup your IMEI!!!! this is not scare you or because of flashing this ROM, but this is standard/basic procedure if you modified your phone
coz I guarantee you will cry if your IMEI loosing and you don't have backup. BLAME YOUR A** STUPIDITY!!!
Flashing:
1. CLEAN FLASH is A MUST. Flash image then flash Magisk (use Canary version recommended).
Now without custom kernel, so if you using stock kernel, flashing Magisk is mandatory
and also dm-verity.
ROM Features:
1. Samsung DeX
2. Flagship live blur (disabled) - you can enable it but cost in performance
3. Flagship edge lighting style
4. AirCommand (hand touchy)
5. LiveDrawing
6. Multy screen resolutions (HD+ - FHD+ - WQHD+)
7. 1000++ system fonts
8. Some "small" flagship features: extra dim, processing speed, object eraser, shadow-reflection eraser, remaster pic etc.
9. Camera features unlocked (pro video etc.)
10. All original A51 features
11. Common tweaks here and there and so many possibility to unlock another flagship features
Bugs: - Audio glitch -- Fixed (look at bellow message)
- QWHD resolution: will overlap status bar (not really priority, could harmful slowly kill your screen), but will try to fix.

if you want with that combo, flash product also... last time i tried with not updated product, some battery graph didn't show "full" and possible other broken.
just migrate to 4.1 for easier

Installing in this week

When I try to copy the sys.img to the phone it just makes an error sound from my pc. the other img files have been copied succesfully except for the system.

i think that is your own technical problem. don't copy large file while your phone in recovery mode.

use adb push to your sd it works , get same issue with my a40
