Question Does anyone know if there is a way to get rid of the huge space that is taken up by the clock when fully extending the notification panel? - Samsung Galaxy S22

I want to get rid of the huge space when fully extending the notification panel, so when I pull it all the way down, the brightness bar is around the center of the screen, does anyone know a way to do this, with or without root.

Try using Galaxy Goodlock family of apps,
Quickstar. See if it can hide it for you...
Try notifications settings, try searching for "clock" in settings.
Quickstar hides the clock on my homescreen page, they may have added more options for Android 11/12.
On my N10+'s Android 9/10...

I will try that. Thank you.

That looks horrible. Is that Android 12?
13 will likely be worse.
On 9/10 it uses the space much better...
This was modified using Quickstar for the custom colors.
If you want to quickly access brightness control you can use One Handed Operation plus, Quicktools to do so.

Sadly there was no option for this, it seems to be essentially color type changes you can make

Circular Battery Stat - No Root Needed - Notification

So back in October of 2010, some guy named Irkan made the version for a black notification bar and I made the version for the white notification bar. Here they are, they work great in ICS. Just download and install like a normal apk.

Can you make 1 with stock battery icons for Android Revolution 2.1.2? LTE version?
no only because i don't have time. feel free to break into the apk and replace the icons though.
if you search for my posts on androidforums.com you'll find some links to big battery icons that are ICS type but probably lower resolution. might work.
Is this for the notification bar?
If so, does it replace the stock battery icon, or add an additional one?
Wow nice!!! But would you please explain what's the difference between two files? I'm running everything stock (locked bootloader), which one should I use?
If later one we decided to go back to the original, will simply uninstall this app work?
It adds an additional one. Just tried it. Would be nice if it was a replacement, which I guess would require root at the very least.

[Q] Where did these icons in the notification bar come from? (photos)

I mean those wifi, bt, sound icons etc.
Looks like they are embedded in the notification bar. Is it a wedget? or a built-in feature of some third-party rom?
Thanks.

Well they aren't stock I can tell you that.
Most custom ROMs have a power widget like that.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
You can install Notification Toggle where you are able to choose between different icon graphics.
Stock notification icons from CM10 I believe. You can change/disable them in settings.

No.. those are the built in Power Widgets from CM. There should be an option in the system settings to disable them if you dont like them. As well as customize them and change their order etc.

Im sorry for spamming this thread, but i noticed higher battery drain while using notification Toggle ... Any one else ?

Just figured I'd share........

What's up guys. I've gotten enough PM's after posting some of my screenies that I think some of you might benefit from a cpl of cool apps I've been messing with.
The first one is called TextIcon CreaterIconPack. It's pretty self explanatory. You can change any icon on your screen to any word u like. It's very customizable too.
The second is Super Status Bar. I've only used this with MIUI so I'm not sure it'll work on any of the AOSP/AOKP ROMS we have. This app is also very customizable. U can change the color of your status bar.... position your clock to right, center, or left and there are a few themes out there also.
Finally a wallpaper app called Wallbase. It's what I use to find the nice ladies. Set the app to sketchy and hit the popular setting and there ya go.

I'm sure a lot of u already know about these apps but maybe there are a few of u who don't so like I said, just figured I'd share.
Later peeps.
Super Status Bar working on stock rom and ics base too... thanks

[Solved...]CM10.1- Slide across Notification Bar for Brightness

EDIT: Yeah, so mods, feel free to delete this thread.
Hey all, I would like to find a way to be able to adjust screen brightness just by grabbing and holding the notification bar. Apparently this is the way TouchWiz does things (it used to be on my old phone, an LG p500 with I think CM 10.0, but it might have been in CM7.x).

(Image is from here).
I've seen several mods that require flashing in CWM, but I believe these are ROM/device dependant.
I've also seen a few apps that give similar functionality, but they just don't fit. Especially when we can have a Brightness toggle in the Quick Settings Panel.
Is there a way to mod this onto our phones? I've tried peeking into the flashable zip files from other places, but trying to parse everything that's going on there is well above my head. Even if someone can just point me in the right direction, that'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
P.S.- Auto-brightness is disabled.

...#$%&. My bad lol.

Tiny icons at bottom of lock screen--what are they for?

Can someone please tell me what the little icons below the app shortcuts on the lockscreen do? I've tried just about every combination of pressing/tapping/swiping/etc. with both my finger and the s-pen, and nothing ever happens. Why are they there? What do they do?

They are indicators of the currently displaying lock screen widget (out of the multiple supported) on top. (in your case it's the big clock)

Ah, got it. I hadn't tried dragging the lockscreen widget left/right, which is kinda dumb, since I've been using Android since before this was even possible. I feel dumb now.
Thanks!
