Question Features - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

Hi, are there any list of ROMs features?
Which ROMs have build in Adblock and/or slim recents?
Thank you

It doesn't cover absolutely everything but I recommend checking this Spreadsheet out, which a kind XDA User made:
ROMs list - table with specific ROMs features (Google Sheets, objective and subjective things)
Hi, Recently I was looking for the best ROM for myself for my personal device and made a table for myself with the specific functions I needed. Thought it was worth sharing, it might be helpful if you are looking for a ROM for Poco F3. But it...
forum.xda-developers.com

Thank you, but this list is very user specific. Just like my question.
I flashed major 7 ROMs and none of them feature slim recents (only aicp but it's unusable in current state) and only Spark can block ads without root.

I personally only know AOSP's default Launcher3 Recents & MIUI's Recents..
You can switch out the Recents-provider with QuickStep to the one of Lawnchair, OnePlus, or Samsung etc, but you'll be disappointed, because they're similar to AOSP's Launcher3 Recents.
I haven't found any majorly different Recents-provider. I'm not too big a fan of AOSP Recents either, but it does the job.
But on my Samsung Galaxy phone with the Samsung GoodLock App, I could choose between ~5 different Recents-Styles (including slim text-only Recents), it was amazing.
As for Adblock, use this:
AdAway
AdAway is an open source ad blocker for Android using the hosts file.

Thanks, Slim recents are great but optional. Android recents are useless since they change them to Apple one.
I am not rooted, so I can block ads via local VPN or via hosts if ROM allowed it. Spark and Aicp has that feature so you are not forced to use local VPN. Iam impressed with Spark so far, so Iam done with searching.

AOSP/CM wish list

Hi, We all love pure android experience but sometimes vanilla android lacks some functionality.
From my experience with previous Samsung galaxy phones, Samsung got screenshot, call-reject with message since gingerbread. and these features made their way into vanilla android.
I do know that some features are already in CM or available as application.. but these should be native. IMO.
For me,
multiple clipboard (like in Samsung)
delete individual call log/messages from thread(I like samsung way too, multiple select like deleting threads)
Newline in messaging
predictive T-9 dialer
Send message to group
Please share your ideas that you wish to have in either stock Android or Cyanogen.

Why don't you simply get involved and code this ? CyanogenMod is not an ask and get serve OS. If you want something, do it.

Only if it would be easy.
Even though I've basic programming background( which is C language). coding is not simply just about code. but you need to know how things work. and most of android app is java.....
We'll just have to cheer him on while he goes to Google and CM to get these changes implemented

ROMS with broken keyboard hide button

I could find most of the jellybean ROMs have the default keyboard hide soft key broken.
It would nice for devs to notice it and fix the same.
Below are list where i could find it missing.
1.AOKP
2.JBSourcery
3.Liquid
and all AOKP source based ROMs
ROMs where it works
1.Pure AOSP
2.Minco
3.Rasbean
4.BAMF Paradigm
5. CM10 and all its source based ROMS

Oh? How so? This is from BAMF Paradigm:

In case you think its the theme that fixes it:
Seems like the keyboard hide is right there and it works fine. Please revise your list.
i was going to say... works fine on bamf.. but adryn beat me to it (also what theme is that?!?)

Its an alpha version of bgill55's Synergy. He probably has much more complete copies out now, but I haven't been paying attention.
Corrected the OP,i did not check in the latest BAMF release.
Can some one let me know if it works on below ROMs?
Android Me
FNV
Xenon HD etc
Thanks
I'm going to guess that the reason the button is "broken" in AOKP is directly related to the ability to customize the arrangement, appearance, and function of the navigation buttons. Personally, I'd much rather be able to customize those than have a single button change appearance (but not function) under certain circumstances.

He does. It looks good - I highly recommend getting the latest (he still tweets the links, so you guys who don't already should follow him on Twitter).

[APP] KitKat Launcher+

I'd like to start by saying this isn't my app. I'm just sharing its existence with users here, since I know many of us want to use GEL badly, but it lacks some core features we all have grown to require before considering using a launcher as our daily driver.

Description
This is the new KitKat Launcher compiled straight from AOSP. KitKat Launcher+ focuses on clean and stable features that keep true to the stock KitKat experience. Great customization without having to deal with all the bloat commonly found in other launchers. Guaranteed to be fast and smooth.
Please Note: KitKat Launcher+ is available for devices with Android 4.1.2. and later. However, since AOSP is directed to Android 4.4 you will have the best experience on Android 4.4 and on Google devices (Nexus 4/5). Officially AOSP Launcher3 does not support landscape mode or tablets. Your milage will vary.
Feel free to e-mail me about bugs and crashes but only when you were able to reproduce the bug and/or have an error message. If the launcher crashes from the start it might not be compatible with your device!

Gonna try this one, I just update to 4.4.2 and my GEL is gone, but there are some things I didn't like about it anyways example, the icon size looks awful in nexus 4, tends to be slow sometimes, hope this offer the best of both words, gel transparency and faster access to Google now and better looking icons for my nexus 4 + some Google to turn off some features.
Reporting back after testing.
I can't add forum shortcuts (tapatalk pro)? Others with same problem? Thought it maybe was because I hadn't purchased the pro version, but no luck!

[TUTORIAL] Boost Performance and Battery

BOOST PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY
This tutorial will help you boost your performance of your phone as well as the battery. I created this thread to those users who uses Android Nougat, Android Marshmallow also applies to this tutorial. But also other roms might suit to this.
Also this tutorial is based from my experience.
Note:
If anything happens to your device I'm not responsible for it. Follow at your own RISK!

Root - IMPORTANT!

TESTED ON:
AOSPExtended ROM
AICP
Just follow my steps...
Greenify
1. Download and Install required apps
2. Open Greenify
For this part you'll need to set "Working Mode" to Root with "Shallow Hibernation" as "Enabled" (you can enable Aggressive Doze if it suits you, you can just follow my settings below).

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. Go to this part (it is where you open greenify)
Tap the "+" sign to add apps, in this part we will add apps that uses cellular network (text, calls, data), and wifi. BUT we will just add those apps that are not always use and apps that uses too much resources.
For instance, add browser (e.g. Chrome), Facebook, Messenger, Gmail, Games, Google App, and anything else.
In general I recommend you to add Games, Browsers, Messengers and Email apps that consumes a lot of resources. You can add the apps you want.
L-Speed
Follow the settings
Previously, we focused on Greenify which will help you improve your battery.
Now, some of it's settings here improves network speed, performance of phone and battery.
But, ofc I always recommend you choosing "Balanced" Profile on 'Profiles, IO Tweaks, and LNET Optimizer"
My settings here is my thing which I'm comfortable with.
NOTE: If you get music bug disable "MPDecision" on "CPU Hotplugs"
Credits to the owner of the apps for such a wonderful apps they made xD

Android 13 - Remove/Hide battery icon from status bar

Hi,
Does anyone know how to get rid of (remove/hide) the battery icon from the status bar, while still showing the battery percentage, particularly on stock Android 13?
This could have easily be done on previous Android versions through the Gravity box XPosed module however, no working version is currently available for Android 13.
Already tried :
Firefds Kit works fine and I have it installed, BUT it doesn't come with this feature.
I've tried AOSP Mods but it doesn't work on Samsung's stock Android 13.
The SystemUI Tuner app can no longer access Samsung's System UI.
I would appreciate any suggestion, other than the ones already mentioned above, that is known to be working on Samsung's stock Android 13.
Thanks!

You're welcome. Seems too easy, doesn't it?
Quickstar is a great moding app...
Don't forget One Handed Operation plus, it's not like what it sounds.
I use NavStar, Clockface and Task Changer a lot too. The app Double Tap as well.
Stock N10+ running on Pie with lots of UI bending apps. They use very little battery.

Right, it does seem too easy!? I was in denial for the first 5 seconds...
I still rely heavily on LMT, Tasker, Firefds Kit and other root-based customization tools but I'll definitely check out the other suggestions as well. Again, thanks a bunch!
