Question vivo X80 Pro / Global Version no OS updates? - Vivo X80 Pro

Just got the global version / Funtouch OS 3 weeks ago and it's still on the June Security Patch. Is vivo bad when it comes to OS updates?
I'm on version PD2185F_EX_A_12.0.11.W20.V000L1

a German friend of mine still has the June patch.

What is the difference between software version PD2185BF and PD2185F.
How to flash another version firmware on vivo phone(for example i am on PD2815BF and iand I would like to flash to PD2185F)

perhaps the difference lies between the processors.
why do you want a different ROM?

I have update from may 2022, PD2185BF_EX_A 12.0.12.0.W30.V000L1I saw update PD2185F_EX_A 12.0.12.5.W30.V000L1

Just (few minutes ago) received update PD2185BF_EX_A_12.0.12.9.W30.V000L1

Settings > System Update > Settings Wrench tool on the top right > Enable Trial Version

On my side, I cannot find the Enable Trial Version option (I'm in France with the global version).
What's even stranger is that if I search for Trial in the main menu it will show the right location in the settings but I don't have it.
Is it possible it's missing in my version ? I'm in Funtouch 12.0.12.7 (security patch from June).

Same here with global version. I think it's just for Asian global or chinese version.

There is no trial version for Funtouch OS.
FOR ORIGIN OS ONLY.

Really? So how did I install the latest trial version with the July Patch then on my vivo x80 Pro Globalo version with FunTouch OS? Must be some Voodoo Magic

I just see you have the Global Funtouch with the W20 in the name. Then there is no trial version only for the EU Funtouch.

I was checking for updates daily as you may have seen in the initial post I was on PD2185F_EX_A_12.0.11.W20.V000L1 only when I enabled trial updates was I prompted to update to PD2185F_EX_A_12.0.111.13.W20.V000L1

There are 3 types of Vivo devices.
W10 ( China/Global with OriginOS )
W20 ( Global FuntouchOS )
W30 ( probably EU FuntouchOS )
And as I see now there are test updates for W10 and W20 devices.
There is also only ANdroid 13 Beta for W10 and W20 devices. Not for W30.

I heard Android 13 Beta was very buggy on the vivo x80 Pro. I did have Beta 4 of Android 13 installed on my previous Pixel 6 Pro and it was very stable.

Xiaomi Mi8 Lite Pie Update ( unofficial news )

Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite Android 9 Pie update :
Android 9 Pie update expected in Q1 2019
Beta version may roll out before the end of 2018
As already pointed out, Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite comes preinstalled with Oreo 8.1 and thus is entitled to an update to Android 9 Pie, probably the one and only OS upgrade the device will ever see. Xiaomi hasn’t said it publicly, but we expect a beta version to roll out before the end of 2018 followed by a stable released later in Q1 2019.
Of course, the stable Pie update will have MIUI 10 running on top.
Hello,
Global beta ROM is now officialy available, according to this article the beta version 8.12.13 is under android pie https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-8-lite-android-pie-beta-china/?nocache=1
Even if it says that you need bootloader unlocked, I checked on the official website and saw it was available as a global version, here's the link http://en.miui.com/download-346.html#552 (and if you want, here's the changelog http://en.miui.com/thread-4885974-1-1.html)
Since I only have my mi 8 lite in a few days (tomorrow hopefully), I could not test it myself, if nobody does before I'll confirm as soon as possible
Tell me if I'm making any mistake
Have a nice day

Final version appeared in Romania, EU version. Not the beta chanel, full. Yeeeeyyy
Can someone explaij me this:
I had PGGEUXM 11.0.3.0,now i get QGGEUXM 11.0.2.0 update....why the number is lower,shouldnt it be 11.0.4.0?
Here in the Netherlands too. 1.9GB
It's not in the changelog but i think miui themes are supported again in Europe after the upgrade. I'm not getting the 'Themes are not supported in your region' message anymore but this instead;
Stuck in dark mode..anyone else?
The good news is that they fixed widevine to L1. Netflix finally works in fhd

I think you had to read the lettres too
In PGGEUXM 11.0.3.0...the P may be for Pie - Android 9
In QGGEUXM 11.0.2.0...the Q may be for Android 10
Got the update this morning in Germany.
I had to uninstall Netflix to get it to work but I finally have HD videos.
The Themes app now works too.

Open beta general help

Hi. So I'm a new op7t owner and came from the op5, I'm familiar with stable and open beta versions on the op5 but this is not the same on the op7t. I have attached my info screen which is the version the phone came with so it may help to answer my questions,
When I try to install the open beta 2 from the official op pages it's saying the open beta 2 is a downgrade so I can't do this... however there is no ob3 or ob4 for me to install on the official web !!
Ob2 is the only version download available and also the stable version on the official op is an older version too to what I have now.
How am I supposed to switch over to the beta when it's only showing ob2 and Where are the ob3/4 versions ?
Very confusing compared to how easy switching from beta to stable and vice versa was on the one plus 5 !
Any help is appreciated ?
Regards

Thanks for responding, is this an official updater from OnePlus ? Excuse my ignorance but why would this be any better than the official oneplus software update pages ?
Thanks
The issue is that you have an EU handset likely with EU firmware if you haven't messed around with it yet.
For whatever reason EU updates are pulled back and regularly get behind the global and Indian versions.
I have absolutely no idea of whether there are issues introduced by flashing global firmware but I have had to do so today in order to get to beta 4.
So you have to download Oxygen Updater, go to advanced settings and change your phone to Oneplus 7t (not EU - this will switch to global), switch download option to full beta, download it and flash it as a local update.
There is absolutely no documentation or answers from OnePlus regarding the differences between firmware versions from what I can see.. only speculation from those whom have delved into the update packages and users whom have noticed subtle differences.
Long story short, if you want to try the betas you're better off switching to global at the moment.

I don't know why they don't update their website. I guess the easiest way is the updater app.
Thanks for the replies, very helpful. I just can't understand how I'm on a higher version that is actually listed in the UK official support upgrades pages !
Because the website for whatever reason hasn't been updated.
The latest stable EU release on the website seems to be 10.0.7, where in fact your device should have done an ota update to 10.0.9 out of the box. You also can't install Beta 2 that's listed on the site as it's older than 10.0.9
As suggested, Oxygen Updater is the best way to see what updates are actually available and the global firmware is the only one that seems to be updated regularly atm.
It's not an official OnePlus tool but the firmware is referenced and downloaded from OnePlus servers.

The Beta was available for a short time for EU and Global, and then it was pulled for both and put back up but not for EU (according to my Oxygen Updater)
https://www.xda-developers.com/onep...14-4-ambient-display-clocks-may-2020-patches/ (See update #1)
I just double checked and even through Oxygen Updater (with Advanced Mode turned on), device set to OnePlus 7T (EU), Open Beta (Full), Only Oxygen OS Open Beta 2 is available (I'm currently back on 10.0.9 EU as I didn't want to be on Global not knowing what the differences are)
Moral of the story is though that there's either inconsistencies across devices, or you received the update before it was pulled, or OnePlus are just utterly useless at update cycles... I believe the latter lol.

Use oxygen updater. Did it not work?

Question which oneplus 9 pro version do I have

I have oneplus9 phone.
Oxygen updater says my phone is India version
when I look in setting->about phone the model is LE2120 which is CN version AFAIK. thats what the Oxygen updater also present.
But the OxygenOS version is 11.2.10.10 LE15DA which is India version according to google
so which version do I have?
2120 is the Chinese version, but you can flash Indian or EU/Global firmware anytime, hence why the Oxygen updater app thinks you have the Indian version. Afaik, it doesn't affect the functionality of the phone.
Right, model number and firmware version are two different things because the model number (LE2120) is your hardware, and the firmware version (DA) is your software.

I don't know a lot about ColorOS or its differences, but it's probably just a matter of personal preference. The two are going to be unified at some point in the near future anyway.

What OOS version do you have right now?
If you download the full update (not incremental) that is the same version or newer than your current version and install it via system update, that method does not wipe the phone.
If you have to downgrade/rollback due to no full update being available for your version or newer, that would wipe the phone. Or just wait for the next full update to be released.
Actually i have
OnePlus9ProOxygen_22.I.13_GLO_0130_2111112104
