How did you install twrp? Did you flash the twrp to boot partition? If yes, you need to find out which system you had installed and then flash the suiting boot.img.
Background: In A/B partition scheme, recovery is part of boot.img. Boot.img needs to be patched by twrp. So normally you need to boot twrp by typing "fastboot boot twrp.img" and then, when twrp is booted, go to advanced and press "flash current twrp"

Ok, you already deleted data. Try to format data via fastboot. Use "fastboot -w" and retry!

Maybe start one thing at a time.
Problem with twrp
Try flashing this Fastboot rom
Download the rom/extract it/open the folder /use first install.bat with the phone in Fastboot mode
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...13.0.5.0.SLDCNXM_v13-12-fastboot.zip/download
then install the TWRP and update the rom via OTA (do not put any security on the lock screen).
BOOT VERSION
Installation:
Phone in fastboot mode
Cmd:
fastboot boot twrp.img
Power shell
./fastboot boot twrp.img
then in Twrp go to Advanced -> flash current TWRP->reboot TWRP
If that doesn't work/see post https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...need-urgent-help-please.4491461/post-87424405

[HELP] im stuck with no os and mtp wont work in twrp and also ADB isnt working

i flashed miui 9.3.28 and then booted twrp , but it was asking for password so i went to wipe and repaired data using ext4 ,and then procceded to wipe data, vendor, cache, system and now im stck with no os and i cant use adb sideload to install a rom please help :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:
Reboot into fastboot(keep pressed power and vol - buttons until you plug cable to pc otherwise it can start rebooting system) and flash latest fastboot miui(you need to unzip it first): http://en.miui.com/a-234.html via XiaoMiFlash tool with clean all option. If you can't see your device in tool press refresh in MiFlash tool you have also Driver section check this. Another option is to install google latest_usb_driver via device menager(right click on your device->update-driver->browse pc -> and select usb driver.
I got the exact same problem after flashing the same beta build. Nothing worked for me so I had to flash the fastboot image and roll back the stable channel.
Op next time don't wipe vendor partition. In your case you should get recovery with supports MIUI on androind 9 and if ou had encrypted data you should format the data. Here you have similar situation: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/how-to/recovery-pie-update-miui10-t3916963 (I didn't try this one)
Remember For decryption it only needs to format data partition only.
How will it boot if you wiped system as well as vendor partition.
If you can get in recovery just flash the update file 9.3.28 and u r ready to go.
I did all that and formatted the data partition which was decrypted afterwards. The problem is that internal storage gets re-encrypted after I boot to system.

Thanks. My main problem was that mtp driver of Miui was wrong. And the decrypt error was solved by Redwolf recovery. i have yet to try OrangeFox one.

Redmi note 5 pro(Whyred) I need help guys

Well I flashed to twrp recovery using the redwolf recovery and after that twrp asked me for a password to decrypt, as I didn't have a password on my phone I just ignored it and tried switching back to miui 10.3.2( same version I came to pixel experience from) and I needed up clearing my internal storage as well... Luckily I had saved the pie firmware and mi room on my SD card but when I flash from SD card it gives me an error saying zip file cannot be mapped. The pie firmware was successfully installed but the MI room isn't installing. I am not even able to switch back to redwolf as well it also gives an error while flashing.
can anyone help me?

Extract recovery.img rom OrangeFox zip file on your pc, then boot that from fastboot by typing fastboot boot recovery.img, your device will boot to OF recovery, copy the Orangefox zip file to your sd card, then just flash the OF zip file you have copied to your sdcard, you'll now be rebooting again to recovery, now you can format partition to get rid of the encryption.

Install twrp on device without os?

So I almost ****ed up trying to flash a custom rom on my redmi note 8. I had to wipe my whole system image so I had no os installed there. I did almost accidentally wipe my whole internal storage. So twrp would've been gone aswell. So I could've thrown my phone in the trash can, right? Or is there a way to get twrp on a phone with no os and nothing on it? Or maybe even flash a rom? Idk I'm kinda new to this whole topic. What can you do if your phone is completely wiped? No os, no twrp, nothing.
Edit: I just figured out that wiping the internally storage doesn't remove twrp. But still would there still be a way to save your phone with twrp removed and no os? Basically a completely blank device?
Re: @Johnny3_3
Can you boot to twrp by long pressing POWER and VOL UP?
According to your description, your bootloader has been unlocked. But maybe you can't boot with only a boot without ramdisk. Go to fastboot and flash the right fastboot ROM for your phone. Then flash, and go to TWRP using the key combo. Don't use fastboot boot command. Then do anything you want.

Hey, im sorry I think I didn't explain it that well. I have havoc installed already. I just wanted to know what I could have done if I had no os and no twrp installed.
Re: @Johnny3_3
Wiping Internal storage will not wipe the recovery partition.
Once you wipe system partition, you maybe can't boot with a boot that has no ramdisk.
If you have no OS and no TWRP, you can only boot into fastboot and flash images.
If you wipe system, recovery, data, internal storage, cust, you will only be able to boot into fastboot.
If you want to flash twrp on device without OS, just flash the TWRP img file through fastboot.

Get into fastboot mode and flash/boot the recovery with Fastboot - ADB Tools.
There is also an app on github called "Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Tools" I used that to do everything on my phone.

Hi, I have the same problem with my OnePlus 5T. I've tried many times flashing TWRP but it doesn't boot up

Question Cannot flash TWRP from Fastboot, TWRP reboot shows Slot A/B, dont know what to do

Ive already flashed a few phones, but this is the first time that Ive got CMD error "FAILED (remote: (recovery_a) No such partition)". So I booted twrp.img, falshed ArrowOS and TWRP from within TWRP and it said something about Slot A and B, which I dont understand ... some guide also said to Format Data, which I did, and then I just could boot into TWRP in Slot A, and no OS on Slot B, which rebooted me into Slot A. I couldnt find any info about this and I dont know what to do. Anybody knows how to properly flash TWRP and custom ROMs please ?
Start fresh by flashing stock MIUI rom through fastboot and proceed from there
1 Boot once into MIUI and reboot into fastboot
2 fastboot boot twrp.img (from platform tools folder)
3 Flash custom rom like ArrowsOS with inject twrp option checked
4 Reboot recovery
5 Format Data by typing "yes"
6 Reboot to system
7 Done
Follow the TWRP install instructions by fastboot boot TWRP.img
advanced, install TWRP
It should then reboot and TWRP will be installed
Then proceed as above by flashing a ROM e.g ArrowOS with TWRP inject.
Then reboot TWRP and wipe data
Use "fastboot boot TWRP.img" to temporarily boot TWRP.
You can install TWRP by using "Install to Ramdisk" inside TWRP and selecting TWRP.img

Slot A and B refer to Project Treble, where there are 2 separate partitions. 1 for OEM like Samsung and other for core Android OS. That way Google can update the OS partition with security updates without having to wait for Samsung to implement those security update into their version of Android, as was the case before Galaxy S9. Needless to say, this way security updates get pushed out way faster, because there is no need to wait an entire year (I'm looking at you Samsung) for OEM to finally implement it. Hope this clears things up for you.

there is a slight problem with this ... I cannot upload any file to the phone, because I have wiped Data, so there is no folder that I can access from the PC, so I can only sideload .zip files, and most of the .zip files just doesnt work for some reason, only ArrowOS, but not the PixelExtended, nor CrDroid ... I cannot even sideload TWRP.img to install it into ramdisk
EDIT: after sideloading ArrowOS and booting TWRP using "fastboot boot twrp.img", I can access internal storage, so I uploaded twrp.img into /sdcard/Download folder, installed it into ramdisk, rebooted to Recovery and now successfully flashing CrDroid ROM that I uploaded to /sdcard/Download

Question (Please help me) Mounting problems

Hello,
I recently tried to flash a custom rom on my poco f3, but I couldn't install twrp, because I didn't have the option to install it when i boot to it.
So I followed some instructions online and formated data partition to ext2, and then back to ext4. Now I can't copy any files to the phone storage and can't do anything else.
I can reboot to fastboot, and I can boot to twrp, but it's pretty much useless because I can't sideload anything, and can't install twrp anyways.
Did I do something wrong? Is it easily fixable?
Thanks in advance.

Oh. I tried a different twrp version and could install it on the phone. Now flashed crDroid and it said my system was broke so had to factory reset. It is working now. Thanks.
But now I can only access the crDroid recovery, how can I install back twrp? if I try to fastboot boot twrp.img it simply reboots back to system.
try to boot TWRP from other slot maybe? (don't forget to switch back)
Code:
fastboot --set-active=other
fastboot boot twrp.img
if that fails just flash TWRP into vendor_boot partition, and restore vendor_boot.img from crDroid right after
