Question Please help! Need some files and help! Modem files - Sim not working! - Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

Hello everybody i have Samsung Galaxy s21 FE 5G "SM-G990B/DS" Snapdragon 888.
I bought the phone second hand knowing it is problematic,
The problem is that when a sim card is inserted the phone asks for the pin code then once the pin is entered it knows if the pin is correct or incorrect, i enter the correct pin but then nothing happens. In the status bar there is that *no sim inserted* symbol. Once i connect to a wifi network and turn wireless calling feature on, calling and sms function of the phone starts working with inserted sim card. Long story short without wifi connection sim doesn't work at all. I hope i've described my problem clearly.
i can provide every bit of information about the phone.
Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.
Edit: I have tried re-flashing a new firmware via odin.

Perhaps the calls work over WiFi, because the SIM provider allows you to make calls over WiFi through the google carrier service.
So, you probably have a faulty RIL as the SIM card was read correctly.

What possible way i can fix it? I can't find many sources about s21 fe since its a relatively new device and not very popular around devs.

" Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network "

Hi there,
I'm on vaca for one month in Africa and I am trying to use my sim card but I have this message :" Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network "
I tried two different sim cards but I still have the same issue.
Note that the phone was working perfectly yesterday with my Tmobile Sim Card.
It's an international One X so I don't think that I need to unlock it.
Do you guys have any solutions?
Thank you
it sounds like something tmobile end has changed on your account, if possible i'd call them to see if they can help get it working again
other thing to check is the roaming settings, check its enabled etc
Thanks for the reply.
I'm not using that Tmobile sim card anymore. But an Orange one.
Should I factory reset it and see if it'll work?
Thanks
i had this happen on mine, ive got tmobile sim, it went to tmobile orange signal, i tried to manually switch it back to tmobile (better signal coverage) and it said the same thing.
A reboot didnt fix it so i went into settings, storage, make more storage and then cleared all temporary data for all apps.
this seems to temp fix the issue and allows me to reconnect to my peferred network it still happens every now and then so it could be a software gitch with the hox
Just tried it. Didn't work
I will restore it and see how it goes
Even with the New Rom, Superwipe I still have the same issue ?

need help figuring this out with my sim

i have the gt-i9250 and i always used an at&t sim with it with out an issue, recently i wanted to switch to t-mobile (thinking the phone should be unlocked considering it was an international phone and was the yakjuxw than i flashed it to yakju which was wierd cause i had google wallet on it and it was working fine although i only thought it was compatible with takju, but anyway all and all i put it to the usa firmware of takju 4.0.4 not going to jellybean yet, but my issue is that i am not able to use the t-mobile sim card in it and i get this (look at screenshot where signal is) what does this mean and how come i cant get signal, when i go to settings and mobile networks it shows me the apn for t-mobile us but not selected so i select it than after i go to mobile networks and it shows t-mobile and at&t and when i click any of them they tell me its unable to connect and it cant connect to the network at this time, so what would this mean and how would i fix it so that i can use it with my t-mobile sim card, also i flashed the newer NA radio uglc1.
That is weird. It should work on either of them. It just means you have no signal. That is strange. You could've actually just popped the Sim right in. It didn't matter if you were using a ROM
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Is the SIM activated for sure? I know when I switched to the T-mobile $30 plan it took it a good 15 minutes or so to activate, and then I didn't actually get signal until rebooting the phone for whatever reason.
Did you reboot your phone?
Although you can sometimes hot plug a sim card by turning on flight mode, taking the sim card out and toggling flight mode a few times, it won't work sometimes.
probably your cell imei not free and therefore can not change your sim.
There is an application called "****docomo" worth to release the imei. Make a backup just in case

Don't think he has a SIM unlock problem. Considering that it was working with AT&T, which never had a locked version of the GNex, I think he's having another issue.
I'd tell the OP to make 100% sure that his new T-Mobile SIM is activated and not defective, then try a few reboots and swaps back to the old SIM and do some troubleshooting. If it's the phone and not the SIM, its likely a mobile network registration error or an APN issue.
Looking in the notification bar, it seems like the phone doesn't think there's even a SIM inserted. Make sure you didn't damage a pin in the SIM tray, and that the SIM is properly inserted and clean. I don't think you'd get this error of "no SIM" if your phone was locked. If that was the case, the phone would recognize the SIM and prompt for an unlock code, which you're not getting.

[Q] Help Confirming I317m Hardware Issue

I have this I317m locked to bell. I am trying to use it on virgin mobile canada. From what I've read, I shouldn't have to unlock it to use it on virgin. Anyway, when I insert my virgin sim card, sometimes it'll say unregistered sim and other times it'll just tell me emergency call only. When I look under status, it knows my phone number and it knows that there is a sim card inserted, but it won't let me connect to anything. It's completely stock and on 4.4.2. It never asks to enter an unlock code when booted up and no combination of any symbols and numbers that I have found on the web results in anything happening through the dialer. I have an unlock code for it and I cannot input it anywhere. I am starting to think that I have a hardware issue of some kind and hope that it can be confirmed with help from you guys. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
So it can pick up virgin under available networks, it just can't register on anything. This time, when I turned it on, it read virgin for a split second on the lock screen then switched to unregistered sim and then to just emergency calls only. It has bars showing up, I just can't connect to anything. strange.
Well, I have it all apart now and figured for the $7.69 it costs for a new sim reader and micro sd reader, I'll give it a shot.I kinda have a feeling that it not the issue though. I'm kinda leaning toward the nand being fried or something like that.
Have you checked that the IMEI was clean?
The imei comes up under about phone and matches the sticker. What else is there to check? It also shows up doing the #*06# trick.
Aha! Checked IMEI. Not clean. Will fix properly now. Thanks.
Which normally means you're in possession of a lost, unpaid or stolen device...

[Paranoid Android 7.2.1] - Phone can not detect associated phone number with SIM card

Hey all,
This may or may not be ROM specific, but I just switched carriers and for the time that my number was being ported, I had both my old SIM card (Net10 on AT&T towers) and my new SIM card (T-Mobile) in the phone. During that crossover time, everything worked fine. In the SIM settings page, the carrier for each SIM and the associated phone number appeared correctly. However, once I removed my old SIM (phone was powered down any time I changed SIMs) the phone still functions fine for calls, texts, and data, but it no longer recognizes the SIM carrier or phone number.
This is made worse, as the carrier has an app that checks the SIM card before running, now, the app just shows "We do not recognize your SIM card".
I also noticed that carrier specific dialer codes no longer function. For example, if you dial #264# you should be presented with the status of T-Mobiles "Binge On" feature, but now it just does nothing once I hit call.
I have tried swapping the SIM between slot 1 and slot 2, I have also tried rebooting numerous times, all to no avail. I'd really prefer to not have to switch ROMs, but if that ends up being the solution, I guess I'll do it.
Any help would be appricated.
Thanks,
Austin

What does your Settings>About Phone>Sim Status show?
There are some apps (root+Xposed required) which edit the number in the sim. You can also input a number if it is blank in the sim.
Failing this, you may have to approach your service provider.

The Phone Number row shows as Unknown in there as well. However, if I insert my old sim in the other sim slot it then shows my correct phone number.
So the number is there in the sim, but for some reason is only read if I have both sims in.

WiFi chip location

Could anyone help me and show where the wifi chip is?
This is picture of this motherboard:
OK, so I have the second question. What is wrong? My phone doesn't detect SIM card and WI-Fi doesn't work. Phone is trying to start, but I get an activation screen. I may choose WiFi communication or SIM card. None of them work.
