Yet another bricked Redmi Note 9 Pro - Redmi Note 9 Pro (International Model) General and

Hi there,
I recently bricked my Redmi Note 9 Pro trying to reflash the original rom under TWRP. It was a Global version (joyeuse) originally.
It simply is stuck on a bootloop (Redmi logo showing up for 1sec then rebooting) so can't access fastboot or recovery mode.
After many hours of research, I kinda came to the conclusion that there is no way of flashing the rom in EDL mode without an authorized MI account for MI Flash Tool.
I'm still asking though : is there any trick to bypass it or flash the original rom without using an authorized account on a Qualcomm-based device ?
Cheers !

There's no trick and it cannot be unbrick as of now even mi service center can't flash fw through edl. Your only option are: 1.)Mi Service Center (they'll replace the board it'll cost you $120 USD like you bought a second hand of the same unit). 2.) Sell the parts to make profit and buy a new phone. 3.) Set aside and wait for available unbrick solution. You cannot avail services from indian and russian guys almost all their services are scam. That's all you can do and I can share.

Facing s similar issue. Looking forward to a solution..
I'm able to access both recovery and fastboot. Only issue is that i accidentally locked the bootloader while tinkering with it on mi flash unlock.
Apparently accessing EDL mode is the only way to get past this (based on hours of extensive google research, lol).

As of now I couldn't find any solution.
In my theory it can be unbrick in two methods:
1st method is bypassing authentication (server hack or modified mi flashtool).
2nd method is modified firehose programmer file.
We can use other flashtool programs like (Xiaomi Fire Tool, Chimera, and other paid apps to flash) but we need a modified firehose for that.
If someone else has the solution please help us unbrick our phones. May be we can donate instead of buying from someone else we don't even trust and letting them access our computer that's too risky.
Moreover, I asked xiaomi support, In our case they won't help us for them our bricked phones are trash. We are helpless.
In case someone has time to help patch these files for us. I got these files from latest firmware: (Joyeuse Global). I will donate my money instead of availing service.
Firmware:
joyeuse_global_images_V13.0.1.0.SJZMIXM_20220804.0000.00_12.0_global

Hello, I have my redmi note 9 pro (joyeuse) working again. After days of deep searching in the web for fix I almost got out of my mind.
If you have no other choice you can pay someone for authorized flash just make sure your phone can enter into edl mode stably. I was very skeptical and have trust issues but my only choice is: give it a try.

Hi, have you tried holding lower volume button and power button at the same time, that will make the phone go to fastboot mode. After that download XiaomiAdbFastbootTools and open it. It should automatically point you to Fastboot tab. In Fastboot tab under Image: 1. select ROM folder( oh forgot to mention to download FASTBOOT image for your phone's model before this) and for method put clean install and then just click on flash ROM and done.
Good luck from someone who has bricked a phone like you for at least 20 times lmao

Hey,
My phone is hard bricked, meaning that I don't have access to fastboot or recovery anymore. My only option was getting rid of the back cover, unplug the battery and short-circuit the pins with a pair of tweezers to access edl mode (which I did), then install the original rom with an authorized account (don't have + cannot find) or bypass the authorization or mayber with a modified firehose (I tried to find one, but didn't succeed as mentionned by gfchhhh earlier).
So I my brother gave me a spare phone that will clompetely do (redmi note 10 pro actually) !
Thanks for your time tho !

This happened to me in 2020 when I bought the phone after the release and I tried to install the Curtana ROM on a Joyeuse device, so I bricked the phone by mistake!
Thankfully, I found some shady Telegram group with people that offered EDL service from India (I think...) with official MI Flash tool from authorized service provider (supposedly they were the owners of the account). At first, I was skeptical and I tried different ways to service the phone, but couldn't find any so I delved into the shady realm of a remote service provider.
From my experience, the dude in question that offered the service seemed very rude because he probably didn't speak English very well. I paid him 30€ through PayPal beforehand, which I know it was a risky move. We agreed on a date to fix the phone remotely, but he wasn't punctual and I had to wait a couple of days for him to respond. ‍
He connected via TeamViewer, he asked to download the MI Flash Tool (I don't remember the name fully), and asked me to put the phone in EDL with a paperclip or tweezers. Then I remember him logging in his Mi service account, sending a repair request (i think), and after a couple of minutes, he copied and pasted what looked to be a very long 2FA single use code (two factor authentication) to begin the flashing.
The process took about 30~60 min or so, of which I didn't remove my eyes from the computer at any moment to check if he was going to do pesky things through the remote access. After the long wait, the phone booted and I got my phone working.
I have never again tried to root the phone until today, because I have a severe problem with the audio interface and I need to modify some system files.
Wish me luck!

Hi all, i Wanted to install a custom rom in my xiaomi mi a2 lite ( bootloader unlock, root and twrp was ok) but now after trying to install pixel experience my phone got bricked. It has a black screen so i am unable to boot it in fastboot or adb mode... but when i connect it to pc, Windows enter a sound like it’s connected but can’t find it in any ways... can someone tell me how to unbrick it? I just want to let it working again and bring it to stock rom through miflash. Thanks. I have also tried to unbrick it with miflash but my pc don’t recognize it. Just do a sound like it’s connected
Hi, good news first: it can be recovered, have been there myself
Now the bad news: you will need to open the phone and flash it via "EDL testpoint method" (just google where the testpoints are and what to do).
You will loose your data it will be factory locked afterwards ... but your phone will be alive again ...

Possible new way to unbrick SOFT bricked RN8P w/o Xiaomi authorized account

Redmi Note 8 Pro Global 128gb 6gb
Here's my story,
I was using Android 10 with TWRP before and then I bricked my phone by installing some magisk module and was stuck in bootloop. I was going to re-flash A10 global fastboot rom but I accidentally installed A9 instead and thus, my phone was hard bricked. Dead screen and only led notification light is on.
Here are the steps on how to unbrick your phone. (Not 100% sure if it works but we've got nothing to lose since our phone is already hard bricked.)
1. Try to install any A9 stock rom on your phone through "flash_all.bat" inside your A9 stock rom and wait for it to finish or at least long enough when you feel like it's stuck. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cn5F12ixLB8)
You can download stock roms here (https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/begonia/)
2. Assuming you have installed most of A9 stock rom including preloader, try to flash "preloader_begonia.bin" and "lk.img" found here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-8-pro/how-to/guide-redmi-note-8-pro-megathread-t4056527) and follow instructions on how to flash both files.
3. Download and install MiFlash Pro (https://mega.nz/folder/xZtzjRQI#p24N5i5Xi1S_KXPGK4Hk4w)
4. (https://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/how-to-unbrick-redmi-note-8-pro/) Follow this tutorial starting from step 3 and wait for around 5 mins until "Download OK" shows up and then reboot your phone.
PS: If your having a hard time trying to detect your phone on your pc, don't connect your phone yet. Click the "download" button on SP Flashtool first and then connect your phone. Press all 3 buttons (Vol+, Vol-, Power button) until your pc detects your phone and SP Flashtool will automatically flash your device.
5. DONE!
Tell me if it works or not so that I can try to help each and every one of you. Cheers!

That's the problem. I didn't know why I bricked my phone while flashing A9. It just didn't boot after rebooting my phone. I think as long as you flashed A9, you can proceed to flash the preloader and lk and unbrick it.

My RN8P don't have recovery or fastboot.

In soft bricks, you can access recovery or fastboot or both, and easily flash the stock ROM, but you have mentioned above that your phone was hard bricked, there is almost no way to unbrick a hard bricked RN8P without authorized account, even if you do, its very likely it was once in a million chance that it got flashed, best way to recover a hard bricked RN8P is to not mess it up more and take it to service center right away.
Help please!!
I'm Stuck.. idk what it is.
I flashed my RN8 with Google PE using TWRP. But now I'm stuck in some sort of boot-loop where I'm neither able to access Recovery menu nor the Fast-boot page.
Help me too somehow.

there are ways to unlock the RN8Pro, even after a hard brick. Either you buy the UFI Box and do it yourself (180 €) or you call someone who does it using the team viewer, the call was cheaper and more successful for me. I would love to share the phone number with you guys, but I think the moderators will mind ?!

Redmi 5 Plus totaly bricked

Hi there,
I have got a bricked Redmi 5 Plus from my friend.
The phone has locked bootloader.
Firstly, I've read about that I had to turn the phone in EDL mode.
I've launched the redmi phone in EDL mode by test points.
I've tried to flash ROM via miflash, the program gives me an error xml during system.img flash after about 570 seconds.
In only one ROM that I've downloaded I was able to get to the system.img flashing for about ~570 seconds.
On other ROM's the error was at ~26 seconds.
Another option that I've tried was to flash via QPST.
Here, I've got firehose error, or sahara error, depends on which ROM i was trying to flash.
I'm not able to boot or change developer settings.
I can't even get to the MIUI's recovery.
Could someone help me deal with it? Please

Redmi note 5 pro with unlocked bootloader stuck on "Redmi - Powered by android" logo

Hi everyone. My Redmi note 5 pro is not turning on, it just gets stucked at the "redmi" logo. I tried disconnecting the battery but that didn't work. Since I can enter fastboot mode I also tried to flash the fastboot miui 12 rom with Miflash but an error appears saying "error flashing partition - write protected" (my phone has bootloader already unlocked). Even in EDL mode I couldn't flash the rom since it doesn't let me authenticate in my xiaomi account and miflash gets stucked at "edl authentication". Can you help me to unbrick my phone? Thank you.

Same thing happened to me and another one of my friends who owned redmi note 5 pro last week. Trust me I literally tried everything, but sadly I had to go for a new phone. The xiaomi service center told me the motherboard needed to be replaced which would cost 4-5k plus the screen would need to be replaced ( if you have even a couple screen cracks ) which would cost another 2-3k. Even then I would advise to go for a new phone.
Still sus how so many RN5 pro are getting the write protected error out of nowhere in the past 15 days. I did see a couple more posts about the same here.
Hi, I have the same problem. So I did enter EDL with the two pins on the mainboard, but when I try to flash miui 12 with QFIL (Qualcomm Flash Image Loader) I get authentication error. Even if I used a patched firehose programmer file. I tried 3 different patched firehose programmer files.
Does someone have a working patched firehose programmer file for Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro?
So If we do not find a working patched firehose programmer file or a xiaomi developer who share his account for 5 min then I think we are not able to solve this problem..

Redmi Note 8 Pro begonia (MIUI 12 EU) bricked and locked

Hello guys,
I have an Issue with my Xiaomi RN8P begonia. It somehow managed to brick itself over the night,
the only thing that it does is, to restart in a bootloop and that's it.
Sadly the recovery is gone..
I've tried to reflash miui or the twrp.img but ... the bootloader is locked. nicen't.
Atleast it gets detected in fastboot mode..
This phone had been in this state for over a year now and since then, I've tried to find a way to safe it. Even contacted the xiaomi support to ask if they could reflash a new Image, but they want some
money for that ofc (since it is out of the warranty)..
Does anyone have a legit way to somehow safe that phone?
I really want it to work again.
Thanks for any further replies to this Post.

Sounds like your phone's internal Storage is dead anyways, I don't have another Idea.
Sorry

Hello guys,
I have an Issue with my Xiaomi RN8P begonia.

What's the step you do to flash to xiaomi eu?
Do you unlock bootloader first before doing so?

I have never flashed a xiaomi.eu rom. The phone bricked itself over night with stock miui 12

Ah man, that's bad to hear :/
After I flash the twrp recovery, it will automatically reboot and will end up in a bootloop

Wah I tot you flashed xiaomi.eu to it.
Even unlocking the bootloader need some adjustment on the Settings to make it succeed.
But maybe can try first http://miuirom.xiaomi.com/rom/u1106245679/6.5.406.31/miflash_unlock-en-6.5.406.31.zip

All right, the rom is flashed. The only thing that changed is, the bootscreen. else everything seems to be like before, so endless restarting and so on.

Sad. I saw many results (5 guys):
- 2 was successful recover (lucky guys)
- 2 was successful boot but recognize that they had volume up issue (stuck or something like that inside)
- 1 buy a second hand rmn8p. He can boot in TWRP. But when he boot in system, just show boot screen 1s and bootloop. He gave up.

All right my guys. I guess that's it. I'd close this thread now, since it is obvious, that this phone is sadly dead .
I'll look after a spare unit where I can change the Motherboard from. maximum 55€.
Thank you all for all the help and effort, trying to help me out here.
Especially to Kirasu2080 and ohwarumbloss.
Cheers

You're welcome, wish there was some better results
If you open your Phone, be very careful. When I opened mine (heated up with a Hair dryer) I wasn't patient enough and it completely cracked (evil Glass now I can tell)
Else there is no Problem to change parts, almost Noob friendly I would say
Good luck!

Ahh thanks man, I had the phone always open, since the og battery was dead xD. anyways again, thank you so much for your effort!
I have tried 2 times with mitool v2, the first time I've chosen the recovery method and it flashed 5gb firmware, booted in stock miui recovery but still wont boot to system even after wipe.
The second time I chosen the other method in mitool v2 and it flashed the 2gb firmware, again booted in miui recovery and still couldnt boot, then did the wipe and BOOM ii succesfully booted in 12.15 global
