Question Oneplus 9Pro got "system update available, 4.53GB, but I am not a Beta tester, wth? - OnePlus 9 Pro

Hi into the forums,
I try to find out about this update, 'cause it is just "a bit big" for minor changes and a security patch, methinks. My guess, it is the Oxycolor13.
But I do not find any information about a stable version, only betas are out or pulled back, so what do they offer here?
Got that info/offer 2 days ago and are still clueless!
Can it be that it is somehow the ColorOs? Did read that China OP9Pro get updated with Color Os 13 for LE2120.
Mine seems to be a LE2125 (shown unter "about device"), but it is an import phone, out of the box with google, all languages, plus the former update to Oxycolor 12 worked the normal way.
Thanks for helping.

Hi.
What's your OOS12 version?

That looks like a full-update to the latest OOS12 C.65, the same version many of us here have installed over the past week. Except we all mostly just got the incremental update, because OnePlus hasn't put out a full update file since last spring.. Until now, it seems.

So it is another Android 12 update? Only? confusing

Ok, if it is that, I do appologyze for asking. Just confused, since everyone is talking about 13.
Edit: One more question: Do I have to do that full update to 12, with the 13 coming our way?

What does it say your model number is on physical box your phone came in
If you don't have the official box, it will be on the back of your phone, very close to the charger port at the bottom.

I haven't actively searched for information on it, but AFAIK OnePlus have not yet released an Android 13?
Anyone care to guess how long it'll take TMO to follow up with a massaged (spam filled) OnePlus Android 13 after it gets dropped?
I'll guess two months but it's a guess based on assumption, not facts or experience.

Ok, that clears the model number, box says it is a chinese 2120.
Thanks, didn't think about checking the box.
Probably because with past models just the OS was the difference, not the hardware. And mine came with global pre-installed and I had no problems in the past

For future reference, the ColorOS/Oxygen OS 13 update has an F instead of C, so "LE2125_11_C.XX" is Android 12, while "LE2125_11_F.XX" is Android 13.

I am already questioning that they still call it LE2125_11_
Already for the Android 12 update, I was thinking: wth?
For me, it would be more logic to call Droid 11 updates _11+, followed by A or B or .... , for every next one
And
Android 12 =_12_
Android 13 = _13_
Since the 2125 is the model.
But hey, I am just a OP phone user.
Thanks to all for helping
Only one more question:
Do I need to flush this full update over my Android 12 version?
One of the last updates was already a "full one" (in GB , not MB), and with 13 coming out some time in the nearer future, ....
As bigger an update, as more problems to expect, imho.
Don't really need that twice in a couple of weeks or month!

Not saying it makes sense, but that's what OnePlus did for 9 Series.
For 10 Pro "A" is Android 12, and "C" is Android 13 LOL.

I 100% agree, I've argued with people who said "LE2125_11_" was OOS 11. They should just go back to OOS 11.2.10.10 naming, OOS 12.X.XX.XX, and OOS 13.X.XX.XX.
To update to this version, you have to be on either C.63/C.65 for NA/IN, or C.64/C.65 for EU

Weird!
Yesterday, the update size changed, from 4,x GB to 409MB.
What is going on with Oppo's sub brand?

Nope!.
Not rooted at all.
Just the message changed from 4,x GB to 400MB size for the available update.
Btw , I did the "small one", today.
Now the 9pro is "up2date".

Was I a bit premature, perhaps?
Got this today, october security update:
Perhaps that was the reason for switching from 4.xGB to 400MB for the last update?
"We need to convince them to update, there is another one waiting, already. They dont like 4GB? Try smaller"

Realme 5 Pro - realme UI V1.0 Android 10 - Official version available for download

The official Android 10 version for Realme 5 Pro is available for download from official site.
Official Download link
Impressed with the performance and new UI. It includes updates for VoWifi as well.
But also found that some bloatwares got installed along with the update.
Way better performance!!!!
I was checking the official website like every ten minutes. I downloaded it as soon as I saw the update. The size was almost 3.5GB. It took only 6-7 minutes for installation. And to be honest Realme UI looks way better than ColorOS. I played PUBG for almost an hour and the gameplay was much better than before. It gave me constant 45fps even when screen recording!!! Gonna try 60fps tomorrow!!
On the indian website, the new version is available, but on the european website, it still shows the old update with ColorOS 6...
I wonder if the version on the indian website is the same for every country? If so, can I install it without causing problem? Or should I wait for OTA?

In my experience with both custom and stock ROMs on several different phones,, a data reset or clean flash is always a good idea with major OS upgrades, i.e between android versions. That's why I bit the bullet and reset it. Runs fine after.
Initial impressions of Realme UI after using it for 48 hours
1. Battery is terrible. Does not last me for a work day (100% in the morning and it dies out before night). I have done a factory reset to no avail
2. I dont see 4G+ anymore.
3. Wifi speeds have increased significantly
4. GPS lock happens rather quickly now
5. The phone is always warm and gets a bit hot when used for a longer period. I dont play any games. Just emails, browser and some social media
6. RealmeUI seems like a half cooked product. Especially the dark mode (and vice versa)

does ram management get better with this update?
in android 9, the apps auto killing even after turning off all battery savings.
Can I install this with TWRP?
does it wipe all my data and remove my root,Magisk, and TWRP?
if it does remove all my data, my root is there any workaround method to update ?
Sorry I'm a newbie that just learnt how to root last month ?

I did not notice any background app killing and have not noticed the RAM mgmt. I have the 6Gb version so not to particular.
This was a wonderful device on Pie. Q just killed it. I had raised an issue on the community portal and the response was quite silly (turn off wifi, it is summer, use dark mode etc). So either we patiently wait for the patch or switch to another phone if you already have one.
If you have not updated yet, i would recommend hold on
Still don't have the smart sidebar.
Google Assistant opens automatically nearly everytime I hit return
This update is so broken

There are various reasons which should not be discussed here but let me just say no 5G in India yet definitely plays a role as the builds don’t have to be certified separately with carriers if that makes sense.
Appropriately, NA = Not Available!

NA stands for the Global devices (LE2125) with build tag LE15AA sold outside the below regions.
LE2123: EU is the European Version (Build Tag BA)
LE2121: IN is the India Version (Build Tag DA, generally the first to receive the update)
Chinese units (LE2120) run ColourOS out of the box.
LE2127 units are T-Mobile units running LE5ACB builds and will be the last to receive the update.
Hope this clarifies all the confusion
Could someone grab the package before it gets deleted from their phone?

I go into magisk and choose the uninstall/restore images option.
Let system update download and install. Once it's done, I do not reboot.
I go into magisk and install to both the active and inactive slots (this works because until you reboot, you're still loaded into the OS with root).
Reboot

You can share all information that you know here like how to install it from where to download it etc.
Well at the moment I can share information but not the build, since it's not internally approved yet.
Approval is supposed to be received by end of this week and in a moth commercial launch should begin.
For EU (and I guess also GLOBAL) there are no big changes between Android 12 / MUI 13 and Android 13 / MUI 14: as usual XIAOMI for EU leaves out most of the advanced features of the China MIUI, plus some Android featutres are totally ignore (like the nw themed icons).
In addition form a GUI point of view, MIUI 14 till has some glitches:
Icons in noritifications are not color on color

like it was on MIUI 13 (reference phone for MIUI 13 and Android 12 is Xiaomi 12 PRO)
The strange thing here is that the icon appear bad only when notification is compacted, while when expanded it look ok:
Some texts are not nicely aligned (example below is for alarm snoozing)
You can also tell from the SIM choosing, in MIUI 14 the SIM number is not properly cenetred
like it was on MIUI 13
And few more misalignemts or word-wrapping are present.
I believe that, besides the icon issue, the main text glitches are due to the fact that (looking at dev option) the SMALLEST WIDTH (i.e. the PPI) in MIUI 14 is set to 388dp instead of 411: why I don't know.
Thanks for information, so, Can I ask how is Google Voice Assistant works well on EU rom?

General Android 13

Hi guys,
few weeks ago, the Xperia 10 IV of my girlfriend got Android 13. After the update, the device works fine, with some new features (as the possibility to choose between set of colors for the UI).
From this page on the Sony website, it seems that also our device will be updated in the next future:

few weeks ago, the Xperia 10 IV of my girlfriend got Android 13. After the update, the device works fine, with some new features (as the possibility to choose between set of colors for the UI).
From this page on the Sony website, it seems that also our device will be updated in the next future:

Well, I'm not sure I did - as far as I remember it showed up when my network turned it on.
And of course I've got this (I think it's on by default):

Volte also works for me, but there is no indication like yours
Installed it an hour ago, everything works smooth so far. Love it much more than Android 12!
Same here: after 2 days, no problems
I have two XQ-BT52.
One of them got Android 13 (62.2.A.0.367) as OTA update earlier this week......and for the other identical device the update is not available. I check for system updated but it still claims I'm on latest release when still on 62.1.A.0.675
Strange, isn't it?

I've 4 different operators from 3 countries in the SIM-slots of my two phones
....but I downloaded new rom with XperiFirm and flashed with newflasher so both phones are at same release now
(removed all .at-files and userdata-sin when flashing and it worked just fine )

this is likely the cause: different operators release the updates in different dates ...
however you worked around the problem!
Hi, I have a problem with uploading android 13 to Xperia 10 III via newflasher, everything seems to be uploading ok but after starting the phone there is a sony logo, a black screen, two vibrations and the sony logo again.

Not all regions received the update, flashing manually from another you will not receive the next update over the air.

I got the update only this morning, installed few minutes ago, everything seems ok for now
There's a nasty bug in this version (62.2.A.0.367), where collapsing the OSK will abruptly take you to the previously used app if you have previously switched to the current app by the gesture of swiping along the bottom edge of the screen:
Your browser is not able to display this video.
This happens regardless of the keyboard you use (Gboard in the above video, also tested with Simple Keyboard from F-Droid).
Another pain point with this update, and with Android 13 in general, is that you can no longer use separate quick settings tiles for controlling Wi-Fi and Mobile data. In Android 12, it was still possible to bring it back by adding wifi, cell to sysui_qs_tiles. According to a quick search, this no longer works in Android 13 (I didn't bother actually trying it out on the 10 III because I doubt Sony would bring this feature back on their own).
Probably found something not working properly: I use my phone with a polar H10 Heart rate monitor and 3 different apps to monitor my workouts and after the update no app is able to read my heart rate from the H10, while it works fine on another much older phone... te 10 III sees the H10, identifies it properly, pairs to it, but does not read any data: no battery level, no HR, nothing...
Unfortunately Wi-Fi and Data toggle are united once again... If I get to know this before I may not update...

Great to see our Xperia 10 III finaly got Android 13!
Currently I'm on 62.1.A.0.645 with LOS20 (GSI).
Now I wan't to upgrade firmware/vendor without loosing GSI or any data.
Can anybody tell how this can be done?

Development Android 14 Beta Program DP 1

We don't recommend installing this on your main device, and especially if you're not familiar with development or alpha/beta testing. There are quite a few known issues right off the bat:

Developer Preview 1
WLAN malfunctions in certain scenarios
Connection fails when casting to a TV display
Red screen is seen when switching from Guest mode to Owner mode in certain scenarios
Manual connection fails after the phone is disconnected from the tablet
WeChat calls may not ring with Bluetooth headsets
Red screen flashes when creating a new calendar
Screen freezes when taking picture with the front camera in WhatsApp
Which devices support the preview?
OnePlus 11 (all variants except carrier-branded e.g. TMO/VZW)
Where can I get the preview? Before installing, be aware that installing a developer preview carries a risk of bricking your phone. Make sure you know what you're doing, and backup your files/media before proceeding. Also ensure your battery level is at least 30% and you have at least 5GB space left on your device.
Refer to the forum threads for more information:
OnePlus 11:
Developer Preview 1
Can I revert to the stable version of OxygenOS?Yes, please read the forum thread of your device as linked above for detailed instructions. Rolling back will completely wipe all your data, so please take a backup before proceeding.
Below is the rollback/downgrade packages for the OnePlus 11. Make sure you choose the correct rollback package for your device and region. We are providing these links purely for your convenience, as rolling back isn't natively supported by our app. After downloading the correct rollback package, move the file from the "Downloads" directory to the topmost directory of internal storage (the same directory that the "Downloads" folder is in). You may also have to rename ".jar" to ".zip".
Then, open Settings -> About device -> Version and tap "Build number" 7 times. This will enable Android's built-in "developer mode" (you might have to enter your phone's PIN/password too). Once this is done, "Local upgrade" will once again be visible in Settings -> About device -> Software update -> top-right button. It it doesn't show up, download & install OPLocalUpdate_For_Android13.apk, and use that to install updates locally.
Rollback packagesThe following packages will rollback your device to Android 13, and will wipe all your data. Note that these rollback ZIPs will take you back to A.09 even though the latest OOS13 stable version at the time of writing is A.10. These are not the packages you should download if you're looking to update to Android 14/U.
OnePlus 11 / Rollback packages :
OnePlus 11 NA Version (A.09)
OnePlus 11 IN Version (A.09)
OnePlus 11 EU Version (A.09)
OnePlus 11 GLO Version (A.09)

Rollback packages can be very helpful to convert CN Modele to IN, EU or GLO and also to be flashed to solve softbrick devices.

do you think flashing 2449glo on my 2451 would change it to a 2449glo? or is it just the reverts that work like that?

The rollback packages are very fresh, so untill someone try, it is difficult to say.
But theoretically it could work. At least with 2551 you will be able to get full OTA updates

In the meantime... here's CPH2451 A14 Stock and Magisk Patched init_boots
@Steve0007
Could you please rename the topic to something more understandable and manageable?
E.g. "Android 14 beta 1 (DP) for OnePlus 11"
I don't understand why you called it "Google 14" - it just makes no sense.
Thanks.
Hey finally I can convert my phone back to the US firmware.
My OP 11 is stucked/rebooting in fastboot mode after flashed 14 beta EU. Booting to black screen. Can reboot to fastboot mode.
Tried to repaired via Fastboot Enhance and roll back package with no success.. I have to ignore some partinations. Any solutions?

Steve0007Welp... I can confirm.
The downgrade for CPH2449 GLO for my CPH2451 US boots.
Tested: calls, texts, wifi, camera, bluetooth, etc... all work fine.
About to root, and then upgraded to A.10

Most probably yes if you want to go back to Color os. There is already an Android 14 DP 1 available.

Sorry for not making myself clear, I mean, downloading the apk from the forum and take it to a CN color os device and forcefully "downgrade" it to the 13 ROM - could it be even possible?
Or forcefully for to DP1 NA first and then, down?
