Question Force call from watch - Google Pixel Watch

If the watch is connected to a phone, is there a way to force it to make a call directly? It seems to default to using the phone without a choice. If I disconnect the Bluetooth I can make the call from the watch but that's a pain. Any solution?

I have the LTE watch. In order to get calls to work better from the watch, I disabled "Phone Calls" from the phone;s bluetooth settings for the Warch device. This way I can call and receive from the watch without needing to disconnect the bluetooth.

Use CarPC As BT Voice Gateway

I have a PC computer in my car that I use for many thing and I want to integrate my phone into it by using a Bluetooth voice gateway to play the sound over the speakers in the car and use a mic to talk into. Obviously since this is the Rhodium forum I have a Touch Pro 2 (by Verizon) running OEM ROM. The PC is running XP SP2 with Widcomm bluetooth stack.
Making calls I have no problems. When I'm in range it connects and when I make a call its flawless. The problem is when I get a call. When a call comes in it rings once then answers without me doing anything. And no its not the auto answer feature on a headset (i know that would be the first reply if i didnt say that). The issue is that even though there is a BT link to the PC the voice gateway doesn't connect until in a call. When i make one it connects when i hit send to dial, when i receive a call it connects when it starts to ring and once there is a connection it answers. It would be bad if im driving and someone calls i dont want to talk to or something and it just answers without me knowing.
I tested this theory with my regular BT headset. I had the headset off and I called the phone and once it started ringing i turned on the head set and sure enough it answered.
My question is how do i get it to hold a solid connection all the time like a normal BT headset would? Or make it not answer once a headset is connected?
I tried using the BlueSoleil BT stack also. This one worked ok once everything was connected but every time I came back in range of the PC or turned the PC on I would have to manually connect the voice gateway again.
Thanks for any help!
Edit: oh yea, also I had the same issues with my XV6800 (Titan) and never got it to work right either.
anyone have any ideas on this?
no one on this forum has tried this other than me?

[Q] Car bluetooth and Desire - Fatal exception

Dear all,
My HTC Desire is now 15 months old, and still works as new. No, better than new since it's rooted and faster.
Coming to the problems:
My car has a bluetooth feature to stream music from the phone, and to take and make calls. Bluetooth music streaming works perfectly, and I can skip songs using the car controls.
I am facing the following issues with the "Phone Connect" feature when I pair the Desire:
After any and every incoming or outgoing call is completed, I get a pop up on the screen which says "Fatal Exception..." and I can only force close from here. When I force close, the signal strength icon shows a cross and all connectivity is lost for sometime, including BT: car says "phone disconnected". After a while the signal strength comes back and BT can be reconnected.
So basically I have to repeat this process everytime I make or answer a call via the car BT feature. Needless to say, it's a PITA.
I am guessing this is a problem to do with the radio or kernel of the phone. Not sure which. Please confirm this, and guide me to a radio or kernel file which may solve this issue.
My second problem has to do with the phonebook feature of the car. It can pull the contacts, the recently dialled numbers, recently received numbers, and missed calls. Only in the Desire it doesn't.
The phonebook feature can only see the contacts in the SIM card.
The recently dialled, received, and missed calls don't work. Numbers only show up on the car list if I have made/answered/missed a call while connected to the car BT.
The only feature that works as it should is redial.
As I am told, all Nokia models work perfectly on the same car model, and since we own a 'smart'phone, not to mention an Android, we should be able to get it to work however we want it to.
Any fixes for this one?
Thanks in advance.
PS. If you want the exact error message thrown by the phone after taking/making a call, I can write it down and get back to you afterwards.
BUMP!
Please help, guys!

does the new note 10.1 have phone call function?

Thinking about upgrade from my note 2 to the note 10.1.
Does it have phone and sms function?
The SM-P601 (3G - Exynos) and SM-P605 (LTE - S-800) do...
I use my P601 as daily phone device (with bluetooth headset)
et phone home
before i bought my LTE version i envisioned myself being able to have my tablet in my backpack and have a bluetooth headset with basic remote controls such as are found on some of the plantronics and other bluetooth sets. Now with the samsung watches and wrist bands if they can be paired with the bluetooth headset so you can see incoming call and text information on the wristband/watch and answer calls by using that i think that will be the ultimate use of the phone feature.
maybe someday they will have a head set that has features like are featured in the movie 'her'.....which was pretty cool...good movie and worth watching by the way to see the future of electronics and how they will affect our daily lives...
You can put phone calling on any tablet, even wifi only tablets. How? Get a Google Voice number and then install Grove IP. I do that on my tablet and it works perfectly. Google Voice includes text messaging.

Slick. How well does it work when you're not around a Wi-Fi connection? Voice and MMS are just an added benefit to always being connected via 3G or LTE with a N10.1-14 so equipped.
Use hangouts with Google voice phone number
