Question HELP! Need a ROM that supports google pay! - Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE

I used to fiddle around with this phone and I installed xiaomi.eu rom. Now I reverted back to allegedly stock europe/global ROM. Thing is google pay won't let me add my card cause of security requirements not being met. Can anyone find me a stock ROM? I purchased this phone in Serbia, so I don't know what version of OS comes with it. Many thanks.

You would either need to relock Bootloader or to fiddle around with Magisk and certain modules to hide that Bootloader is unlocked
That's because Wallet requires the phone to pass Play Integrity API attestation and you cannot pass if it detects the unlocked Bootloader
To test PI API, use:
Play Integrity API Checker - Apps on Google Play
Get info about your Device Integrity through the Play Intergrity API

You should know yourself where you downloaded
By name it looks promising but I'm on Xiaomi.eu and I don't follow the stock releases
By official Recovery I mean that you must not have custom Recovery like OFox but the Recovery installed with your official ROM
For the official ROM versions (names, downloads) you can use:
MIUI Downloader - Apps on Google Play
MIUI upgrade app for Mi users.
play.google.com
Indeed it finds the EEA ROM as you mentioned - screenshot

I installed miui14 from xiaomi.eu and gpay works with bootloader unlocked. Lol.

Yes bcs Xiaomi.eu as a custom ROM internally implements spoofs from the USNF Magisk module (with no need that you install Magisk, etc) to 'hide' that BL is unlocked' and that in fact you are running a custom, not official ROM
But if somebody goes to the stock ROM, then BL must be locked or otherwise Magisk + Zygisk and USNF are needed to spoof and to pass the Play Integrity API

Stock rom can be downloaded from here: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/lisa/

Magisk 13 beta is out, which should pass Safetynet. But it is beta, and some folks are having various issues/bugs.
Also, on my current daily driver device (OnePlus 3T) I've tried Magisk 12 with the Magisk module "Universal Safetynet Fix" and it passes Safetynet.
Link to various Magisk threads, if the OP is interested: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk
You are completely right, it's the typical "cat and mouse game", where Google doesn't like Safetynet bypassed, will keep updating it; and topjohnwu (dev of Magisk) will keep trying to bypass it. Really annoying, for those of us that just want control of their phone (for simple things like Viper4A, Titanium, etc.) but still want access to banking apps, Netflix, etc.

OK, if OP won't answer this question, then I will...
I performed a dirty flash over the previous version of this ROM, without first removing SU and SuHide. I wiped the cache prior to flashing, but left the other partitions alone. No problems with the flash and the phone rebooted with all apps intact, except for root, as expected.
Reflashed SU, then SuHide after a reboot. All OK, except that the updated ROM will not pass the SafetyNET test. I tried removing and re-installing SU and SuHide, but SafetyNET still fails.
I can live without that since I don't do mobile banking, but I can't speak for all.
Thank you for your work.
can you share the Stock firmware or OTA package? i can't get the OTA update.

I don't really see why anyone should block your account as this is only official firmware.
Not source code or anything like that.
Can you at least share all content of zip file apart from system?

Hi, I join the request that you could share the original firmware, in my case I like a clean installation I do not like the OTAs. And I need to have my SmartPhone unmodified by the apps of the banks and others that detect the modification of system.
Please a need this firmware KINZIE_RETMX_DS_7.0_NPKS25.200-12-4_cid12_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml
Thanks very much..
I have read that everything is fluid but there is no voLTE support? Will you be able to add voLTE feature? And even dolby or viper preinstalled or patch? And also regular fixes and updates
"Non-hacked" version for SafteyNet check?
Hi!
Great work on the ROM, but it is possible to do a parallel version that is the "pure/unaltered" 7.0 MX ROM with the scripts to provide the appropriate modem file for the phone in question? I could be wrong, but maybe a stock 7.0 will pass SafetyNet, even with a different modem file (IE, China XT1581)?
It seems that at this point in time the only phones that really -need- a modded 7.0 are the Chinese XT1581's since they will probably never receive a 7.0 update, nor will they ever have G-Apps.
How to pass SafetyNet with this ROM
The first version of this ROM (April OTA) happily passes SafetyNet with either SuperSU / SuHide or Magisk installed with default settings.
However, with the second version of this ROM (July OTA), SafetyNet will report a CTS Profile Mismatch with BOTH rooting solutions, regardless of whether you performed a dirty or clean install of the ROM.
To pass SafetyNet, you require a current version of Magisk installed (I used 13.6 beta), which will initially fail the CTS test. You then need to install the Universal SafetyNet Fix module from within Magisk.
SafetyNet should now pass both tests.
PS. As an added bunus, this also changes the Device Certification to Certified within PlayStore settings :good:

Cool!
Since this ROM can't ever be updated via OTA, I assume that this "fix" would be essentially permanent? (or maybe future gApps updates might change the detection methods?)
Also, can you quickly describe the installation process for the latest version of Magisk (it seems that it's installed with TWRP and the an app is needed as well...)
Thanks!

Yep, it's pretty easy on this ROM, assuming that you already have TWRP 3.1.1 recovery installed.
Note that SafetyNet has both server side and local components which test a number of different attributes of your device. The data collected locally is assessed by the Google Play servers which then determine whether, or not, all of the necessary criteria are passed for certification. Magisk attempts to fool the local device component (Play Services) into providing a "clean" data set to the Google servers, so that they certify the device. However, Google keep increasing the scope of these local tests via Play Services updates, so Magisk is in a constant cat and mouse game. Luckily for us, the Magisk developer is far more responsive than Google is, in this respect, so in practice the SafetyNet tests will almost always pass and when they do not, a Magisk update will be quickly released to fix it again.
If you have another root app installed, then you must fully uninstall it first. For SuperSU / SuHide, do the following...
1) Uninstall SuHide first from the Apps Drawer and make sure the icon disappears
2) Go into SU settings and run the Full Unroot option...
3) Say YES to re-installing the stock boot loader...
4) Say NO to re-installing stock recovery
5) Reboot
6) Check that you no longer have any root access
7) Download Magisk 13.6 beta from XDA
8) Boot into TWRP
9) Install Magisk ZIP from TWRP and reboot
10) Run Magisk Manager, then SafetyNet test - this will fail the CTS Profile test
11) Go into Magisk Settings and select Grant for Automatic Response (plus any other options you prefer)
12) Reboot
13) Go back into Magisk Manager then Downloads
14) Download and install Universal SafetyNet Fix
15) Reboot
16) Run Magisk Manager, then SafetyNet test - this should now pass both tests!
17) Verify Device Certification within PlayStore Settings menu (you may need to run a general PlayStore update first)
Done :good:

[A515x] SafetyNET PASS [Android 10 - 11] [Magisk]

UNIVERSAL SafetyNet FIX
(A515x Edition)
ABOUT THIS:This is a universal fix for SafetyNet on devices with hardware attestation and unlocked bootloaders. It defeats both hardware attestation and the new SafetyNet CTS profile updates released on January 12, 2021. The only requirement is that you can pass basic attestation, which requires a valid combination of device and model names, build fingerprints, and security patch levels.
Passing basic attestation is mostly out-of-scope for this module; this module is meant to defy hardware attestation, as well as reported "basic" attestation that actually uses hardware under-the-hood. Nonetheless, it features a few basic attempts at helping pass basic attestation on some devices, especially older devices and devices running stock ROMs.
HOW DO I USE IT?
Code:
1. Simply install the module by Magisk, reboot
2. Enable Magisk Hide and enjoy
**ITS ONLY for A51 OneUI 2.5 or 3.0

That's strange. It should work on android 10. I hex patched that keystore by my self. Maybe you got another magisk module that conflicts with these one. Do you have magisk props hide module? If yes, delete that module. You don't need it with these safetynet patch. And these patch is only for stock rom or stock base roms

Apps that use liboemcrypto.so to play content protected by DRM, such as Netflix and My5, will fail when playback is attempted on a rooted device.
The symptoms displayed by affected devices vary by brand and Android version. Some devices may display an obscure error message when you attempt playback. Others may just appear stuck loading the requested content.
This Magisk module fixes the problem by masking liboemcrypto.so with a zero byte replacement. Whilst the same effect could be achieved by simply deleting or renaming liboemcrypto.so with a root-enabled file manager, this has the disadvantage of altering your /system partition by writing to the file-system. The advantage of the Magisk method is that no actual changes are made to the device. The problematic file is merely concealed from the apps that attempt to use it.
To use the module, flash it in the Modules section of Magisk Manager and then reboot your device.
The module works when the library in question is located at either /system/lib/liboemcrypto.so or /system/vendor/lib/liboemcrypto.so. If your library is located elsewhere (or missing), this module will have no effect (but it's harmless to try it).
The module has been verified working on a Samsung Galaxy S9+ (SM-G965F/DS) running Magisk 16.x/17.x/18.x on a variery of ROMs, on a Samsung Tab S3 (SM-T820) running stock Android 8.0 and Magisk 16.x/17.x, and on a Samsung Tab S4 (SM-T830) running stock Android 8.1 and Magisk 17.x/18.x. It was created because a similar module on XDA did not work on my devices. It is being released by popular request, because a number of other users contacted me with the same complaint.
The module was integrated into the official Magisk module repository on 2018-06-27, and can therefore be directly downloaded from within the Magisk Manager app.
Please note that a consequence of using this module is that Widevine DRM will fall back to using L3 instead of L1. This means that Netflix will play all content in SD quality, regardless of your subscription type. Of course, without this module, you won't be able to play anything on a rooted device, so beggars can't be choosers.
Change log:

Oh so that means I am losing L1? Is there a way to dodge this somehow?
You lose L3 not L1 why this is an issue I'm not sure.
Im not well versed in DRM bypasses

So I downloaded Netflix today on a rooter Poco F3 with Xiaomi.eu and it throws me a 5.2 error meaning that I can't watch any videos. I have tried a method with a magisk module called liboemencrypt disabler but it didn't help at all. Any help?

You messed EU rom with some doubtfully modification.
EU rom is full L1 level and NETFLIX compliant.

Yeah I deleted Netflix and reinstalled it and everything works again.

Question Android 11 or Android 12 or Android 13 for a new phone?

Picked up another 10 III for my dad. It came with Android 12 so I was wondering if I should keep it on 12, upgrade to 13, or downgrade to the last 11 (which I believe is 62.0.A.9.11)?
My own 10 III is on 11 and I've been extremely pleased with it but then again my dad is not a power user and won't care too much about the UI changes. And he's coming from Android 9 so whatever I install is going to be different anyway.
Are there any other glaring pros and cons to 12 or 13 that you guys have noticed?
Do they work fine with Magisk btw? I know 11 does. I don't necessarily want to root his phone but root seems the only reliable method of app backup and restore nowadays unfortunately.
I have already used Android 11, 12 and 13. In each case with the Linageos GSI and was very satisfied with all of them.
It has only turned out that the firmware version must match the Android version used and the original vbmeta should be patched and flashed because otherwise the build keys do not match and that can probably lead to problems.
Currently I use LOS 13 (GSI) in conjunction with MindTheGapps and Magisk-Delta and am very happy with the constellation.
That sounds very good. Are you passing safety net well enough to run Netflix, bank apps etc. with LOS?

Yes.
I use Magsik-Delta in Zygisk mode and hide the app with the Hide function.
Additionally, I use the MagiskHide function to hide Magisk from other applications.
I have also activated LSposed and installed HideMyApplist as a module there. There I created a blacklist with the apps that use root and applied it to the apps that should not see the root apps.
Applist Detector as well as Oprek Detector and Root Beer Sample do not find any residues of Magisk or signs of rooting.
With the Universal SafetyNet Fix (mod version by Displax), YASNAC then also shows me a "Pass" for Basic integrity and CTS profile match.
The PlayStore certifies that it is a certified device.
I use several banking apps and so far I haven't had one that didn't work.
By the way, I still use your UnifiedNlp enabler on the device.
