I think you're right... .eu rom not eaa rom.
Sorry for my mistake
For full house:
I see you're french (me too) and I'd like to install the last .eu rom.. last year I had big sms problem with the 13 version (no sms received) ... Did you noticed any trouble with this version? I'm with orange .

Yes no problem it's quite the opposite I had problems activating Volte on the global version Miui 12/13 this only happened with the operator Orange impossible to deactivate 4G calls but no hassle here to enable or disable Wi-Fi/4G calls and messages works fine with Mi message or Google message

Ok thanks... Since I'm in 14 version eea, I think there's no TWRP compatible. How can I flash it without custom recovery please?

Install Global ROM, Revert Stock Recovery afterwards

Good Day all,
I was wondering, is it possible to revert to the stock recovery after installing the Global ROM on the mi mix 3 China Version?
Reason I am wondering is because when I/We receive a OTA update from Xiaomi while using the Global ROM, will the phone be able to update or will it just freak out on me/us and die?
Currently I am waiting for my Bootloader to be unlocked (ETA 70HRS), I have all files necessary files downloaded (TWRP, Global ROM, Magisk v17.1)
Help/Advice would be appreciated :good:
Kind Regards

I find you very helpful in the forum and I would like to ask you few questions, I am thinking about buying the device but only chinese version is available here and I cant wait for the global to arrive
my questions are:
1- global version only released with 6GB RAM , if I got chinese version with 8GB , will it be able to run the global ROM ?
2- I have never flashed a ROM before , but I have strong knowledge in linux and command lines, will this be a hard task for me to do ? is it risky to brick the device ?
3- After flashing the Global ROM , will I receive official OTA updates directly from xaiomi without any problems ?

1. Yes no problem, I'm on 8GB model and worked fine
2. Really hard to hard brick, soft brick possible but easily fixable via fastboot to flash new system, boot etc
3. I believe so, not tested as there isn't a 2nd global update out?

3. Only relock the bootloader on the ROM base it came with. So if your phone came with the Chinese ROM do not relock bootloader with global. If you do it's goodbye phone
Stock ROM will install stock recovery once phone has booted up

You'd have to use the Xiaomi EU rom with or without magisk as the global ROM has a CTS mismatch so won't pass safety net.

No, flashing the ROM will keep TWRP installed as it's a custom miui ROM.
OTA works and will automatically flash the update via TWRP for you.

Just a quick update for you all that I have successfully, unlocked the Bootloader and installed the ROM.
Just a quick note to mention that after you do:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP_perseus.img
DO NOT put in the command:
fastboot boot TWRP_perseus.img
After flashing TWRP just take your phone (either connected or disconnected from PC) and hold vol up and power. It will reboot in TWRP.
I tried rebooting into the recovery using the above command line and it just rebooted into MIUI Recovery.
Hope this helps :good:
GAPPS
Has anyone tried to flash GAPPS onto this ROM safely or would it mess everything up?

How can i flash twrp again?

I had unlocked the bootloader and then, flashed global stable, but unfortunately, the mtp (and by the way, fastboot and adb access from a pc) was somehow disabled, and to complete the disgrace package, i have just the original mi recovery. I'm currently at the lastest global stable rom, 10.2, without any hope. What can i do?

is your problem solved? Because I'm also facing this same issue and i have tried almost everything which i could.
I'm on MIUI latest version and I'm trying to downgrade miui verision to 10.2 through OTA updates in order to fix it but it's showing downgrading is not allowed and I'm completely stucked.
Plz if anyone know to solv this out kindly let me know.
As issue says MTP not working i also can't flash TWRP recovery from fastboot and since i'm on stock rom, my phone can't be rooted and i can't edit build.prop file to enable mtp.
Thanks.

if you want a more stock version then this should be fine (i haven't tested this though), i personally prefer lineage 18.1, but you won't get VoWIFI or VoLTE if you choose lineage.

Question Installing Xiaomi.eu from crDroid

I'm currently on crDroid 8.7 and i'm thinking of trying Xiaomi.eu to see if the battery life is any better. I dont want to make a mistake flashing the ROM and so I just want to check the procedure before I do.
Am I correct in thinking that when on A12 Xiaomi.eu can only be installed via Fastboot and must not be installed via TWRP?
These are the instructions on the Xiaomi.eu website;
Xiaomi devices on Android 12 via Fastboot only:
- Download our ROM zip file
- Unpack downloaded zip file in the PC using WinRAR
- Reboot your device to fastboot mode (press volume down + power)
- Connect to PC via USB cable
- Run fastboot installation script from unpacked zip according your PC operating system:
--- For Windows OS - windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat
Click to collapse
You don't need WinRAR. It's just a ZIP-file and Windows supports that.
Don't do "Update ROM", you're switching ROMs. crDroid and Xiaomi.eu are quite different from each other.
You might get away with "Update ROM" when switching from one AOSP ROM to another very similar, and not having to erase Userdata, but I don't recommend it. Flashing ROMs in itself is very dangerous, better not play with fire. Especially in this case, I'm certain you otherwise do a Hardbrick.
So use Clean Flash. Also make sure your PC and the USB-connection are reliable, in that they wouldn't randomly disconnect. What I do before a Flash, is copy big video-recordings to see if the USB-connection is stable enough.
I solely say this because my AMD-based PC is plaqued with USB-issues (which are widespread amongst AMD motherboards) and it caused Hardbricks for me in the past.
But you should first flash the Stock ROM, then clean flash Xiaomi.eu. You can get it on the official MIUI site or xiaomifirmwareupdater.com

Yes, that too! Personally I've never used this route. In the past I've always used Fastboot Mode and PC.
But using TWRP seems straightforward, so you could give it a try!

The fastboot version in Xiaomi.eu stable appeared before skkk twrp that supports android 12 encryption and there is still no stable version update that will appear as a recovery package. If you want to flash Xiaomi.eu on Poco F3 via twrp it is only on Xiaomi.eu weekly beta 22.8.3 for now or wait patiently for the next stable update that you will be able to flash in twrp.
