Question How can I change the Rom from CPH2449_11_A.07(Europe) to CPH2447_11 (india) safely - OnePlus 11

the reason is I would like to get this to so I can have call recording functionality back. can I use oxygen updater safely and change? someone helped me achieve it on my onplus 10 pro. But I forgot the process and maybe its different?
Thanks so much

Ok..sorted..all good....

I do not think it works. That's why they are OS versions.

It worked.. using oxygen updater I'm advanced mode..and fiddling with a couple more things ..downloading a couple of apps to push the update through in ota and the oppo dialer .
Happy times

Glad you made it work.
Do you mind listing how you did this? I'm wanting to change my room from CPH2451 to CPH2447 aswell. Cheers.

Unlock bootloader
activate developer.
Change the OS With Fastboot Enhanced
(Flash at your own risk. The procedure is complicated. Yours risk to brick the phone if yours make a mistake during the procedure)

[Q] xperia z1c lollipop memory leak issue

is current xperia z1c lollipop still have memory leak issue ?
I used lollipop for 2 days already. and it always restart my game (minimized to background) after I open browser to use google (yeah only 2 recent apps displayed. chrome and game apps).
I hate this because my game need long time and heavy bandwidth at loading screen. I never get this problem when I used kitkat. I heard there's xposed module to fix this memory leak issue but my phone isnt rooted.
or is there a way to return to default OS (kitkat) like when I first bought it ? maybe I'll do this way. reset it to kitkat again. but I dont know how.
thanks.
You can flash stock kitkat with flashtool. I should have stock EU . 157 rom somewhere on my pc and can upload it if you want.
Flashing stock rom is pretty easy. Watch a tutorial or something. I can help you a bit more when back home.
Back to your question. I have no idea I'm still running kitkat as L is still not available in my country.

is it working to use your stock rom at my country ? I thought different country have different kind of rom. not sure about this if this is true or not.
flashing stock rom doesnt need root access, right ? and maybe can I also backup current lollipop OS that I have so I can reflash it when it has been fixed ?.
so far what I like from lollipop is when someone call me, I can still use other app because call notification only use small box on top of my current running app. I like this feature very much.
It depends where do you live. If in EU it should be fine. If not I can find a rom good for your location.
No, flashing custom rom does not require rooted device.
I think you don't have to do the backup as you'll be able to just update it again ( at least I think so)

Yes. But you dont have to backup the OS. You can download the Firmware using the XperiaFirm Tool >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...xperifirm-xperia-firmware-downloader-t2834142

Generally you can root your phone without unlocking bootloader. It worked for me, at least on kitkat. I'm not sure what about the Lollipop though.
You should better ask someone else too as I'm not as experienced and don't want to give you false info.
But if there's pre-rooted rom here and it's working for android L you don't have to unlock bootloader to flash it.

okay I can get lollipop with root+xposed (all day tried this. I read some tutorial how to do it properly because this is my 1st time doing something like this. so tired ). although I dont know if xposed wont work perfectly like you said because I only use 3 modules so far. App Settings (keep screen on for game I'm playing) and Fix Lollipop Memory Leak and gravitybox (LP).
what I've done :
- downloaded kitkat 14.4.A.0.157 from XperiFirm. and flashed it using flashtool.
- I've realized .0157 can't be rooted for now. so I've used your link that you gave (Root FW 14.4.A.0.157 (LB/UBL) ).
- after get root access, then I installed recovery using Z1C-lockeddualrecovery2.8.11-RELEASE.installer.zip from http://nut.xperia-files.com/
- after that I flashed 14.5.A.0.242_CustomizedFR_Pre-Rooted_Dualrecovery 2.8.10 + Fix Xposed for Lollipop using recovery.
- and flashed Massive debloating and Xposed. links and procedure are also from that pre-rooted rom thread.
so far, no bootloop. dont know if I add some xposed modules again. I heard it will get bootloop if too many xposed modules is installed (?)

Hey there, the XperiFirm dev here.
No one answered your question so I will. The answer is: No.
Sony made sure to include the memory leak fix built in (the exact fix that the Xposed module offers) for their Lollipop releases. The Xposed module is pointless.
See attached screenshot. Basically the Xposed module replaces the AOSP function with exactly the same function but with this additional "release()" line. As you can see, Xperia already has this line included.

wow thanks to coming here :victory:
lol. so it's pointless to install that module because they are same thing exactly. time to uninstall.
actually my game is still restarted after I browsing a little. although I still see a lot of free memory in here. before, I thought this is because of that memory leak issue but I'm wrong.
if only there's module that can prevent lollipop refresh/restart/clear my game at memory when I minimized it at background.
I have the same problem, only with audio apps in the background. Pocket Casts, Stitcher and BeyondPod all crash and stop playing when running in the background, after I do something else like load the game Threes. This never used to happen with KitKat. I've also noticed that iplayer radio gets very jerky and skips back and forth by a quarter of a second continuously as soon as I turn off the screen. [edit - I just listened to it for a few minutes with the screen off and it suddenly cut out. I turned the screen on an the app was no longer in my notifications tray]
If Sony fixed this particular memory leak, what's going wrong with my phone? Could it be related to the fact that I've encrypted if for the first time? I'm getting desperate enough to consider factory resetting and losing everything, because listening to podcasts and playing threes is one of my favourite activities. It's not a demanding game for my year old, top of the line phone. My cheap tablet manages it, and so did the phone on KitKat!

You're a power user. Can the Huawei Mate 9 Pro keep up? Rate this thread to express how "healthy" the development scene is for the Huawei Mate 9 Pro. A higher rating indicates available root methods, kernels, and custom ROMs.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
This is a weak spot as it's no well known worldwide. Dev's are not too many and custom ROMs or even Official Updates are missing.
Official updates are excellent and fast since android 8 dropped. I usually get security updates the same month they are for. But it's true, no real custom rom development as of yet. Hopefully we get better sw once Project Treble compatible roms are available.
The Phone is good enough. Nothing spectacular. When I got the root sorted by using the Krom root, the phone is stable. I have high hopes and expectations for the resurrection remix ROM via the openkirin project, in my opinion the best ROM out there.

Would you please explain how did you root your phone with mentioned method (kroom root) ?
Do you think I will be able to root my phone Huawei Mate 9 PRO (LON-L29 8.0.0.378(C432)
I have been searching for root for a long time now, but I am very confused since there isn't really good community around this model.
I hope somebody will be able to help rooting my phone.

Assuming you have unlocked the bootloader.
You can download Krom from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9-pro/development/kangvip-rom-b354-mate-9-pro-links-t3790605
When you unzip the rom files, you will find Run.bat Run that file and when it's time to install, you get to the install menu, you select option 2 instead of option 1. Your phone will then be rooted and reboot. Enjoy.

Thank you very much for the support. I am still searching for the best way to get root to bypass safetynet. It seems like magisk root is best way to do so. Well I guess I will not be able to root after all since I don't have the bootloader code. I contacted Huawei support, they do not promise anything but there is still a tiny hope.
I know there is options like DC unlocker etc but I didn't get / read any confirmation about that anyone have successfully rooted their mate 9 pro [No EXTERNAL SD double sim version (LON-L29)] with a DC given code.
In this point I don't know what to do. Even if if I somehow manage to get the bootloader code I still need to find proper magisk root method. Mate 9 pro has no good community unfortunately.
I know my next phone is gonna be root friendly device like One Plus 6 or Google phone etc.
I hate not having full control of my own device.

I'm with you on this one.
Owning this device has taught me a few life long lessons:
1. Buy a popular phone, more spare parts, cheaper repair
2. Buy a popular phone, more community support and custom ROMs
3. Buy a popular phone, cheaper, especially second hand, which I personally prefer
4. Buy a popular phone, got an issue? Someone else already solved it
5. ???
6. Profit

Is there a Custom ROM for Huawei 7X/Mate SE?

Would like to use a clean version of Android instead of the EMUI version that is loaded on all their phones.
Seeing how these phones are identical, figured what would work for one would work with the other.
Thanks for giving me any insight.
Coming from the Galaxy Note 4 - hoping I'm not making a mistake with this phone that is enroute.

Here is a list of supported custom ROMs on Mate SE, Choose the A only ROM.

The whole custom ROM world has changed, Now you need to apply system.img instead of rom.zip using fastboot command.
I have the PHH-Treble installed on my Huawei Mate SE. here is the link.

In addition, I'd check out the Open Kirin site. I've read the Lineage version is outstanding and well tuned for the chip. They list the 7x as supported but I've read the Mate SE most certainly is also.

Coincidentally, just booted that ROM (on my SE) today. It's very very good, noticed a few minor glitches to do with the camera and navigation (will let them know about em).
I'll admit though, emui8 is growing on me It's certainly better than 5.1 was. Love to see the roms becoming available though. No doubt when updates stop (or before), they will be critical to have.

I don't mind emui except that the power-saver regularly kills tasker, ad-blocking vpns, etc. I've tried everything to exempt them from power saving but no go. The battery life is outstanding though (I usually only lose 15% after a full day's usage), so for average users it's a bonus.

Nothing terribly serious. I didn't use it for long, but the camera option for selfie shutter 'palm to camera' didn't work. Also the recently taken shots didn't show in the bottom gallery (I read this is fixed now). And the navigation arrows at the bottom seemed to not be persistent somehow (after a reboot this was okay).
It's easy to go back to stock, except if you haven't backed everything up, have to reconfigure, add / subtract apps etc.
I'd suggest searching for the openKirin website, they seem to be doing the most development. Also follow their directions, they worked for me and pretty easy.
Hi
How does one flash the "Openkirin_los_beta4" Iso to the Mate SE (BND-L34)? TWRP?? Fastboot??? what are the exact steps to not render it a paper weight again lol; Do you need Magisk-v16.0 to root it as well?

No, you don't need a custom bootloader.
You only need unlocked bootloader and unlocked frp.
TWRP is not supported on OpenKirin ROMs (especially on 7x twrp won't work).
You just need to flash the .img file through bootloader and then reboot to recovery and do a factory data reset.
Can anyone give me some advice: I have the Mate SE, currently on EMUI 8.0.0.332 (security update available but not installed), with TWRP and Magisk. I would love to install a custom ROM, but the OpenKirin site says TWRP isn't supported. Can I still install one of those builds and just expect no support if something goes wrong, or should I find some way to return to full stock before flashing? And if I need stock recovery, where can I find a download for it? I haven't had any luck on searching here yet.

Pretty much any GSI works so long as you have updated to EMUI 8 sometime in the past.

Check NT-Code: FFFFFF : 54 - but phone works OK......

Hi All,
I have a LG G710EMW, and I want to get android 10 on it. I live in UK so I flashed EU open rom onto this phone. Now everything appears to work fine, dual sim is working OK, I can call etc, but I get this error every time on startup.
I have read other threads - but they say they get no network, however my phone seems fine. Can I leave this rom or should I wait until brazil/hong hong/aus get android 10 and then flash? Also any idea when that will happen or it's already happened? Can you share the KDZ?

If you google and see there are some methods for other phones. I did not bother to try, so don't know if it will work with our phones.

Most of us who cross flash get that error. Volte also does not work. Rest all works perfectly even after that error, so i just ignore it.

I tried the volte solution in guides section and also voenabler magisk module. They did not work for me. I have EMW.
I have shifted to lineages, so am not looking at the development in those threads anymore. Voenabler in lineage os only changed my LTE to LTE+.
Voenabler did work for someone in that thread maybe you can go to that thread and discuss or try on your phone.

I use the one by Josh.
For me it is stable. I don't use bluetooth, wireless charging, etc. so cannot comment on that.
I find this to be the best ROM out there for now. It has good battery and performance.
Basically you should be ready to experiment and see if you like it. If you want a fully stable phone, and no TIME to experiment, then I would advice you to stick to stock.

I had already read this guide, but I gave up as the code did not open any menus. Doing some research I found that the code varies by model (ends with 710#). However, unfortunately it does not work. I cannot modify the NT Code and with the 20b base firmware it returns NTCODE WRITE ERROR after edit it.

Believe me, you won't want to. The update has been pulled. It still has so many bugs. Biggest problem for me, I was curious that it, and updated, A12 currently has no local update option. Means roll back is not possible, only with the MSM tool. Then it starts all over with rooting again.

you can download and install this system update apk from oneplus and it gives you the options to rollback. But be aware rolling back will wipe your device.

You can you the apk on ColorOS to rollback also.

Which bugs are you facing?
Yup, and i've been using it for a month now.
I updated to A12 in Dec when the first OTA was pushed. I had too many issues even after the first 2 patches, downgraded back to OOS11 and never been happier.
I'm waiting for 10pro to launch so I can update to OOS12 then

I played around so much, that I don´t remember everything now. Some apps didn´t work. I think, but I´m not sure, I had problems with Viper4Android. Or it was Youtube vanced. Sorry, I really forgot.
Certain setting options had been missing for me or were no longer where you would have expected them to be. I also missed the local upgrade, but that problem has been solved in the meantime (I was not well informed). I was also not happy with the UI, but that is not a bug but a matter of taste.
In sum, not so dramatic, but my evaluation has coincided with those of other forum members. Does not mean that I am right. I'm happy to be corrected.
How is the general satisfaction with A12 here?
A few months back when they started pushing Android 12 I was eager to try it and so I used "Oxygen Updater" from the play store to download a full stable version of android 12 but i accidentally downloaded the Indian version. I had so many bugs on it, but then I used the same app (oxygen updater) to switch to the EU version and my phone worked perfectly with no bugs or anything. I have now switched to Pixel Experience rom and wifi is not working so I may go back to Oxygen 12. But yeah if you have bugs on Oxygen 12 then use Oxygen Updater and download a new version to flash and your bugs may vanish.
Enjoy
I was curious about A12 and gave it a second try after cleaning up everything.
Does Viper4Android work? Just trying with a fix but not sure if it will work.
The next thing is that file manger doesn´t appear in Magisk, when u want to install a module from internal storage.
At least Youtube Vanced is working now.
BTW, post above is ColorOS 12

Another question: how to us the "OnePlus 9/9Pro Rollback APK". It´s a zip file. Unpacking shows now apk file. Flashing through kernel manager of course not possible. Sorry, don´t find a way to install.
Second try of A12 was not satisfying. When I use the MSM Tool I´ve to re-root again....
Edit: renamed the file to apk at the end. Did it once without success, don´t know why. Now it works
Hope you figured it out. If you haven't.
- download appropriate downgrade package and move it to the root folder of your phone.
- download and install https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/OPLocalUpdate_For_Android12.apk
on your devices... this allows you to access local upgrade... if your phone doesn't install a shortcut you can keep reinstalling it every time you need it
- open OPLocalUpdate_For_Android_12.apk click gear in top left corner and install the downgrade package you put in the root directory
You can also use the local update to install other OxygenOS12/ColorOS12 packages. I just went from C.36(Global) -> C.38(EU) -> C.46(ColorOS12) then rolled back because MMS is broken at C.44 all variants of both OSs and above... at least for me.

Thanks, my problem was that I didn´t know that I have to rename the files. Many thanks!
Personally, I'm pretty satisfied with the C44 update for OxygenOS 12, stable and smooth, as intended. But yes, the first updates were messy.
For having given a try to ColorOS 12 too, OxygenOS 12 gave me a better experience on the OnePlus 9 Pro: less throttling in games and less bloated.
If we get a ColorsOS C44 EU (which should be far more debloated than its Chinese counterpart) that isn't making games throttle, then I'll surely jump into the wagon, but for now, OxygenOS 12 remains the better option if you want an Android 12 official experience for your phone.
