Question Gmail - double pane view: - Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

I saw that Gmail supports double-pane view on foldables, but not sure how to get this to work on my ZFold4, any suggestions?

It's only ever worked for me in landscape mode, which is pretty lame. I tried to find a way to force it enabled in portrait a while back to no avail. Not sure if something's changed since, though.

thanks, so it does work, but not in portrait mode............ugh

I think we need to wait for an app update.

I'm still waiting for tablet (foldable) opimized support of the Google app, and I haven't seen it on my Fold 4 yet...

Just got a Gmail update. Still no double pane in portrait.

Have it in portrait mode.

Did you have to do anything to activate it?

Sorry, I thought you said you had it in portrait.

My mistake, it's landscape. That's what happens when your phone is almost square...sigh.

I'm rooted that's it. I've changed nothing, just noticed my toggle was missing last night. What could cause this?

Maybe it's that theme?

That's not it, theme doesn't add or remove settings. It was available using this theme for weeks, now for some reason it's gone.

Eh, I lose my Hotspot toggle every time I try a new theme.

Interesting but maybe because it isn't normally there, I even tried different themes like stock and still isn't there. Not too big of a deal but I liked the convenience.

Definitely understandable. If I come across anything promising in my research I will surely pass it along. It's indeed bothersome.

I use this one currently, its the one with the most working features i've found so far but still not all of them work. I have tested and found to be working, HDR, Night Shot, Time lapse, Light painting, filter (crashes but restarts with it enabled and working) and even the voice recognition saying "cheese" took a picture! Probably the biggest thing was it uses the flash correctly and dosen't take a picture after the flash has turned off like many of the other camera's I tried.
Things not working were wide aperture, portrait mode and slow mo.
Attached pictures of with and without night sight

Prevent flipping of selfie camera

Anyone know how to do this
App Gcam Tool.
Turn it off. Go to settings, system, gestures. I'm on Android Q Beta but I thought it was there too on Pie. I could be mistaken.

Oh you want it to mirror like it does in the preview. Yeah a modded camera app would be your best bet then.

Actually, the image shown on screen is "flipped", not the other way around. Open the selfie cam and look at some printing with it. You'll see that all of the letters are backwards/mirrored.

irrelevant, unless youre actually curious. I can personally see why some folks might like this. My old A8 had a feature where it would simulate someone throwing your pictures on your screen and you could move them around with the screen locked

Oh Okay, so this feature will be handy in these situations... Unfortunately I don't have any idea whether it could be ported or not.
Does anybody?
Also interested in landscape AOD.

Question Universal GMS Doze Module

Anyone tried it on A12 yet? Does it still bring any battery saving benefits?
Link:
...for some reason I can't paste a Link here via Android Chrome :S
I've had it installed and didn't really notice any difference. Removed module after a couple days

I installed it. To be honest haven't really focused on battery, so couldn't tell u if it's helping or not. I always have a charger nearby, so never really have to be paranoid of it making it x number of hours.
On a side note, I know there were issues where it would not work properly unless you have the find my device service turned off. So may need to do that as well to take advantage of what this module brings.
