Question Redmi note 11 pro - screen slowly flash on and off while charging - Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G (viva/vida)

Hi all,
last year i bought this phone and i'm enjoying it quite a lot. It works perfectly find in every respect including charging it with the original charger.
But as you know, there are a lot of devices that needs charging around the house (i bet you all agree) and so i went out and bought this 2-1 quick charger (2 type-A connections and providing 14.5W of juice). When i connect the phone to this charger, the charging screen comes up for a few seconds, then the regular screen shows (and also shows no charging), then the charging screen comes back, etc, etc. It keeps doing like that for a while until it eventually goes to sleep, not charging at all.
Charging other devices works perfectly fine with this particular charger, but for some reason the note 11 will not play nicely with it. Is there something particular i can try or is the charger simply not compatible?

sounds like it's not compatible, and not recognising it as a fast charger.
also could you do me a favour please. under settings in display settings, does the redmi note 11 pro have an option for anti-flicker setting?
I'm looking for a phone that does

Sorry for the late reply.
yeah, you are most probably right. I did return the charger and used the original one and haven't had an issue since. I did notice that the original supposedly is outputting a much higher wattage than the 3rd party did.
Under the display settings i only see:
color scheme (light/dark mode) + submenus related to this
brighness level
reading mode
color scheme
refresh rate (60 - 120hz)
font, text size and vr.
Thats basically it.

Daydream, overnight Charging and Quick Flashing green light

I'm suffering a strange problem with my new phone ( D855 on H, unrooted runing stock rom )
I ( like I'm sure a lot of people ) use the LG wireless charger next to my bed to charge my phone over night. I then intern use the phone as an alarm clock with the DayDream app.
So, when I got to bed, I put the phone in silent profile and put it on the charger where after about a minuite ( screen timeout setting ) DayDream starts display the clock.( this is a bit hit an miss but thats a discussion for another day )
My problem happens in the middle of the night ( this morning I noticed it aroungd 4:00am ) where the screen is off and the notification light is quickly flashing green ( the battery is fully charged if thats relevant ) . The phone isn't hot btw and knocking on the screen wakes it and stops the light flashing.
If I remove the phone from the charger and put it back on DayDream refuses to start again. If I manually start DayDream, the clock comes up and runs for a short while before the screen goes off and the grean flashing begins again.
Anyone else experienced this strange problem ?
Thanks
Si
I think the issue is your wireless charger. I believe the problem is DayDream is set to display when charging or docked. Since you are wireless charging, the docked setting doesn't apply. In any case, it appears your charger turns off when the phone is fully charged, thus terminating DayDream. This is actually normal and a lot of chargers behave like this, thus nothing really wrong with your charger. What you may need is a new charger that provides a constant trickle charge. Then DayDream should remain active. If you want to confirm, connect the G3 directly to usb cable charger overnight and retest. I bet you will find that DayDream stays on in this case. I recently purchased and tested Tylt Vu. The Vu does what you would want in this scenario and provide a constant charge even though battery is full. You can see my review here of 2 different chargers (Vu vs. A6). A6 behaves as yours does and Vu provides constant charge.

[Q] Rapidly Charging Notice on Lockscreen - A constant?

Setup: Pixel 2 XL, December Factory Image (Android 8.1), stock kernel, bootloader & critical unlock, Magisk 14.5420, TWRP
Recently when I plug in my Pixel 2 XL, the lockscreen will show "Rapidly Charging", but it will only display for a few seconds, then disappears. It doesn't change to say anything else, it just disappears.
Compared to my wife's Pixel 2 (not XL), it will constantly say "Rapidly Charging". She's on a slightly different phone and is on 8.0 still.
Is this normal behavior or do I possibly have a defective unit?

It's normal, don't worry about it. Our phones don't really fast charge anyway. You will only ever see 9v/2A when you are in the range of 0-20% and usually for just a minute or two. After that it tapers way off. The P2 is effectively capped at 10.5W. Read more about it HERE. Relax and enjoy your new phone.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 (SM-T311) not charging: troubleshooting help needed

Hi there,
I have received this Galaxy Tab 3 (SM-T311) and it does not turn on nor charge.
I have tried the various suggested button presses, I have tried unplugging the battery for a while. Now I am leaving it to charge but this was already tested by the previous owner with no success.
I would like to find out if charger circuit, battery or motherboard need replacement.
I have tested with a multimeter that battery leads show 3.7V - with charger plugged or not. With battery removed the leads show a value of 0.4V.
Can somebody help to figure out whether it is a battery problem, a charger circuit problem or a motherboard problem? I think it might be one of the first two since battery charge should not be so low.
Thanks
By the way, I have already been through this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2VJ_VRIRSI
Which comes from this blog post: http://www.bigpicturebigsound.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-3-Won-t-Charge-or-Turn-On---How-to-Fix.shtml
I am not using the original charger and cable but a 2A one, sorry but I do not believe that the original USB cable and PSU would be any different it's like with HDMI, it's a standard. The only thing that could change is the power intensity which is 2A as per original.

Sorry I can't help, except to say it sounds just like my problem. I'd been using mine mainly as a clock/alarm clock using a great alarm app. The battery was good enough to last about 15 or more hours with a clock display on, but then I left for a 2 week vacation, and decided to turn the tablet off rather than leave it on a charger. Came back and it was dead.
I also did all sorts of button presses, used various chargers and cables (I have the original charger, which works for other devices, but didn't help). I disconnected the battery for several hours. Tried charging off a computer USB-2 port. etc, etc. Still, "It's dead, Jim".
I suspect it's the battery, which is pretty old now, and has been left on the charger a lot lately, though not 24 hours a day. Lithium batteries don't like to go totally dead, but I guess that's what happened. If the tablet were still useful to me, I'd try a cheap one from Amazon, not really expecting it to last a long time, but useful to see if it works without losing too much.
I've seen one repair tech who fixed a similar problem by disconnecting the battery and connecting it to a power supply briefly to give the battery enough of a charge to get the phone to start charging it normally. Obviously, this is something that mere mortals would not be able to do.

A few questions from a new user

Hello, i have recently purchased this phone.
Korean version, and it appears to be refurbished, but at the price i bought it, no complaints.
However I have a few questions:
* Fast charging.
I tested everything with AccuBattery application.
First, i tried to connect it to my existing charger (18w and custom cable). The current was 0.
"Weird" i said to myself, so i tried using the provided cable (still with my 18w charger), and the current jumped to 1500mah/h.
Then i tired to to use the provided charger (some weird Samsung charger with 15w), still 1500mah
Finally i tried using my 65W charger, and the current skyrocketed to 2400mah/h and then dropped back to 1500 a few seconds later. (even 800 if I use the cable that supports that current, because the stock one will melt itself a few minutes later I'm afraid)
What is happening?
* Gestures
Stock android gestures are utter **** (especially come back the the most recent app), so i have installed infinte gesture wich mimics miui gestures, but is there a way to hide navbar?
Thanks in advance

Device charges really slowly - 0.1A - 0.4A

Hi everyone!
I'm investigating charging issue with A70 Europe version.
Bought used one with stock ROM, then unlocked and installed crDroid based on android 10.
Additional modules: Magisk, EdXposed, FakeGapps, MicroG
Apparently after ~1-2 years it started charging really slowly.
(Used orignal adapter and cable) So I thought it was broken and changed it.
It didn't help
I recently moved to LineageOS 20 straight from crDroid.
Issue persisted and I was annoyed with it so much that I checked charging parameters with Wattz app from f-droid.
With different cables and adapters I'm able to achieve Max 0.4 A with 2A charger.
Where in most cases it is 0.1A with 1.5A charger
I got it to the cell phone repair where I said I suspect that it may be the port as it stopped transferring any data.
They fixed port but charging issue persisted.
In that moment I decided to try fix it myself.
I opened the phone and changed battery as it was also discharging fast.
It didn't help.
I started reading some similar threads here.
So what is left:
- change the tape that connects main board with port (it is said to be a common issue on samsung device)
- reflash stock rom and see what happens there.
what do you think?
do you need any pictures of the phone or other details?
Thanks in advance!
UPDATE:
Device is A705FN
Did both.
Changed ribbon cable that connects main board with port and flashed stock ROM based on android 11.
Disabled adaptive charging in settings.
But it didn't help.
This could mean that it is some other hardware issue but I'm run out of ideas...
Other observation:
Measuring Watts:
(Stock charger) When I power on the phone, drain is ~10W till it enters offline charging mode or system is on, then it stays exactly 0.5W ! I'm not sure if it is charging. When system is powered it says no.
To compare with my msm8998 based Sony Xperia ~10W till it enters offline charging mode, then it stays at something like 4.6W with 1.5A charger.
Both tested while charging above 90%
I'm totally pissed of. I put money to repair it but nothing seems to work.
I'm sure about one thing - I'll never ever buy any other samsung smartphone.
This sounds like a charging board issue from the very beginning. Charging problems do happen on this phone sometimes but usually just reseating the ribbon cable is enough to make it work again. Perhaps some chip has failed, though this happens much more rarely.
