Question Snapdragon Sound support? - Xiaomi Poco F5 / Redmi Note 12 Turbo (China)

It's chip has support of it. But no one even says about if OS supports it. Can anyone confirm it has Snapdragon Sound aka AptX Lossless?

I know about chip supporting it. Question is if MIUI for Poco F5 supports it officially and can be enabled in rom. There are a lot of chips (mostly 8 gen and higher, also 888) support Snapdragon Sound, but developers didn't even do anything to make rom support it.

[Q] Model differences?

Could someone tell me what the difference between the P880, the E973 and F180 is?
I am trying to buy one of these from taobao and they seem to be lumping all three of these models together...
Thanks!
As far as scarce info on the internet says
LG Optimus G E973 is of
Platform Qualcomm MDM9615/APQ8064
CPU Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait
GPU Adreno 320
RAM 2GB
and is "Also known as LG-F180 for Korean market." (GSMARENA)
LG Optimus 4X HD P880 is of
Platform Nvidia Tegra 3
CPU 1.5 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 T30 Quad-Core + 500 MHz companion core
GPU ULP GeForce 2
RAM 1GB
Hmmm, so I guess the F180 is the same as the E973....? I am pretty sure that the F series has that goofy pull-out antennae though as seen in some of the YT vids.
Thanks for the help.

Yeah I like it too, I'm just a little afraid of LG software and after service support, especially since I am in China and wouldn't have the foggiest where I could take it to if/when it malfunctioned...

[Q] Which CPU does my Tab S LTE have?

How can I find out which CPU my Tab S 8.4 LTE has ? I bought my tablet from on online Italian dealer.
They all have Exynos (except some rare US and Chinese models).

Well, I am more confused now.
I called Samsung and they accessed some internal technical data that I couldn't find online. According to the customer service rep, my LTE device (SM-T705) has a 2.3ghz snapdragon 800ghz quad core for the LTE functions and a 1.9 ghz exynos quad core. The non-LTE (SM-T700) has a 1.9ghz quad core exynos and a 1.3ghz quad core exynos (i.e., exynos 5 octa). So, according to them, my device isn't octacore, but dual (heterogenous) quad core. That's exactly what the rep told me. Hmmmmmm
Here is what cpu-z reports:
1) 4x ARM Cortex [email protected] 1.90ghz
2) 4x ARM Cortex [email protected] 1.90ghz
3) GPU Mali T628
It doesn't explicitly say if the brand of each 4-core CPU. I was unaware and A-7 could run at 1.9, even overclocked.
Here is what the CPU/RAM/DEVICE Identifer app reports:
1) Exynos 5 5420 Octa x4+4 1.9ghz.
According to this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438339), the 5420 is an A-15.
2) 3) GPU Mali T628
My observation here that maybe the device is using an LTE chip separate (not integrated) alongside an exynos octacore. It's possible according to an Australian forum: "Samsung is buying LTE modems from Intel and using them with their own Exynos 5 Octa (5420) SoC, as using in-house silicon reduces manufacturing costs."
To show how confusing this is, here is what I found on Wikipedia, describing sort of vaguely the Tab S 10.1 cpu (no similar description for the 8.4):
"The WiFi model of the tablet is powered by the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5420 CPUs. The LTE model comes either with a Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 on top of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset (version for some US carriers) or with the Exynos octa-core CPU (version for some European countries)."
That seems to say the LTE version has snapdragon quad core plus another snapdragon quad core OR an exynos octacore. That would mean they'd have to have turned off the A-7 core. Either way, I thought a snapdragon would not work with the Mali GPU.
In the end, still confused, but I'm leaning toward believing it's all exynos plus that intel LTE modem. As to which cortex cores, I dunno.
They are all exynos apart from ramdom US ones as mentioned before. There is huge confusion online. Its an exynos with two quad cores but no hetrogenous processing.
Thanks for the replies. An all exynos system makes sense. Clearly, one quad core is 1.9ghz. I wonder what the other quad core runs at. The CPU-z type apps are giving conflicting results. And, clearly Samsung customer service has no idea. They think I have an exynos 1.9ghz quad plus a snapdragon 2.3ghz quad.

It's four ARM Cortex A15 cores at 1.9Ghz and four Arm Cortex A7 cores at 1.3Ghz.
They call it the big.LITTLE concept where the A7 cores are for low power/light tasks and the A15 cores for performance.

Totally 100% correct.
Again, thanks for the help. It will be interesting to see what the Tab S2 will have in it beside a 4:3 form factor and a much lower capacity battery.
Likely the new 7440 exynos. (May have got that model number wrong!)
I guess when it comes out, I'll put my T705 on eBay. Gotta stay current ☺
Christ it comes to something when even Samsung doesn't know what's in there own devices!
This forum doesn't help either by having the wrong specs at the top of the forum page.
The majority of tab s's have the exynos cpus not snapdragon and this should be reflected in the spec details in this forum.
I can see how newcomers get easily confused.

All in all, this’s conform to Doogee marketing strategy: to create a high-performance, cost-effective mobile phone.
Such a high score can not be separated from such a powerful Deca-core Heli X20. X20 2X2.5GHZ A7 core + 4x2.0GHZ A53 core + 4X1.4GHz core component. F7/F7 pro support Intelligent deployment, it is full of vitality when running large programs to achieve maximum performance. No need to close intelligent core to reduce power consumption. Modem consumes 70% of X10, multimedia consumes 60% of X10 .
Big RAM
Such a powerful F7/F7 pro, its CPU is not only low power consumption, performance improvement also obviously, which greatly enhances UI and gaming performance. GPU performance increase to 140% of X10's, GPU power consumption is 60% of X10. 2016 new hot game, Iron Tanks , got the most of comments is that it is always getting stuck, while playing on F7pro realized no stuck, run freely.
The general phones are 4G network LTE Cat-4, while high-profile F7/ F7 pro support LTE Cat-6 2x20 carrier aggregation 4.5G network. Snapdragon 835 in OP 5T Kryo 280 vulnerable to Spectre?

The OnePlus 5T has a Snapdragon 835 SoC with a Kryo 280 CPU core.
A new generation of this microarchitecture, named Kryo 280, was announced along with the Snapdragon 835 chipset in November 2016. The Kryo 280 CPU core is not a derivative of the original Kryo, but rather is a customized derivative of the ARM's Cortex-A73.

So, someone who is more into that topic can tell me if the chip is vulnerable to Spectre?
Cortex-A73 is vulnerable to variant 1, 2 & 3 (not 3a) of the exploits.
My guess is yes. I've been reading around today and it sounds like the Kryo 280 is quite closely based on Cortex A73....

Android car radio with Snapdragon 625

Android 9, 4+64G Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC with eight ARM Cortex-A53 cpu cores 14 nm Car Multimedia Navigation System for BMW 3 5 Series M3 M5 E60 E90 EW963.
Does anyone know this brand and is this the first android car radio brand that uses a Snapdragon 625 cpu?
https://ewaying.com/collections/bmw...navi-support-idrive-steering-wheel-id6-ew963a
Seems like it is indeed the first radio to have a SnapDragon CPU. That's a big positive step for performance with these radios. The SnapDragon CPU's are faster, more powerful and much more responsive than the laggy RockChip ones.
See here: https://www.notebookcheck.net/625-vs-RK3288_8168_6984.247596.0.html
This is the only brand I've seen with it, so hopefully that will pan out to more brands using this chip and hopefully soon we'll get a Universal model that will drop into almost any car setup we have.
