Question Need help disabling app detecting root on Samsung S22 - Samsung Galaxy S22

Hello everyone,
I'm new to rooting and I could use some guidance regarding how to prevent apps from detecting that my device is rooted. I have a Samsung device and I've already tried using Island by following this guide here. However, that did not seem to do the trick.
Additionally, I've explored Magisk's built-in Deny List feature, but it hasn't solved the issue for me.
I am based in Singapore and the app in question is Singpass. I have read comments from other forums such as this and this but am not sure if the methods still work. If they do, could anyone help me with a step-by-step guide? Also, would this method work for any and every app?
I've also heard about Magisk Alpha, but I'm not sure how to get started with it. If anyone could provide some instructions or point me towards a reliable guide, I would greatly appreciate it. However, I must admit that I'm not very familiar with technical jargon, so I hope the guide isn't too complex.
I need this app to function as I need to sign in to government apps for official reasons in late June.

You can't hide the fact Android is got rooted, if this is true. It's easy for every app, so also payment / banking apps, to detect whether Android is got rooted or not.

If you had read the Forum Rules, you would have noticed that we have device specific sections. This is covered under Rule 5.

Is your device the S22, S22+, or S22 Ultra?

Q1: How do I root my SM-T310?
First you're gonna need a custom recovery installed.
Download the following files to your computer: Odin, TWRP, Root
Extract Odin into a new folder and then TWRP in Odon's folder. After that's done start the Odin tool and put your device into download mode. To do this, power it off and hold the Home + Volume Down + Power buttons until you see the warning screen.
Once that's done, connect your device to your computer and wait till Odin recognizes it. If it doesn't usually an installation of Samsung Kies would fix it.
After the device is recognized sucessfully click on the PDA button in Odin and navigate to the TWRP file location and load it.
Wait for the PASS message and reboot your device. (Without disconnecting it)
Once done, boot into TWRP and hold your device in portrait mode, tap Reboot on the bottom right of the screen and then select System on the next menu.
Once you do this you will be asked to install root. If that doesn't work for your, copy the Root zip file to your SD Card, boot into TWRP and flash it as a normal zip.

Q3: Which is the best ROM/Kernel?
Honestly, there is no "best". It's all based on personal choice. For example; I may like heavily customizing my ROMs whereas you may like it to look at basic as possible. The best thing you can do is to just test out different ROMs/kernels/modems and see which you prefer.
Also, please don't ask which is the best because your post will be deleted as it's against forum rules.

Q4: Am I required to backup my data before flashing anything?
No you're not, but it is definitely a good idea, especially when flashing a ROM with an updated base, because if you don't do a backup and then something goes wrong, it means that you'll lose all your apps, data etc.

Samsung Pay Help

Great Minds of XDA ...I need a bit of help.
I recently switched to the OnePlus 5T and I am having trouble getting Samsung Pay to work on my Gear S3.
I have everything installed but when I launch Samsung Pay I get an error message that it doesn't support rooted devices.
I have rooted with Magisk and I am on stock OOS 4.7.4 . I also have set Magisk to Hide root on all the Samsung Gear apps/plugin's.
Thanks in advance.
bump
If you use the apk from apkmirror it will let you set up the card so long as you don't update it. I'm not sure how long you can put off updates, but it's at least a start:

https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsu...g-pay-for-gear-1-5-6306-android-apk-download/
I have the Gear S3 on this phone too, but I've never used Samsung pay. Mine doesn't mention root though, it just says there's some security issue with my device (on the latest update.

Ok I have a gear s3 and using samsung pay
I'm on open beta 1 but also when I was on 4.7.6. It also worked.
I installed the apk from apk mirror. After this make sure u have the latest magisk. 15.3 magisk hide everything with the name samsung in it.
Also make sure u are passing safety net and don't have mods like xposed.
Btw I cannot see samsung pay in gear manager. Make sure u install the gear plugin version and it will install as a service not a app. So download a service launcher like this (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sika524.android.quickshortcut )
To make it an app
And it should work.
Here's what mine looks like

Yeah, that's the same error I get. I'm curious if it's related to root or if there's some error contacting the server

That's the version that I linked to, but my phone says there's an update available and Samsung Pay will not work after the update. I can see the plugin in my gear app both before and after the update.
Well I see this a lot too.
I'm getting the same error now. Seems to be a knox error I think. I restored a backup of the older version .
You's find a workaround?

[TOOL] [APP] [Multi-Boot] Dualboot patcher for Nextbit Robin (Ether)

You can now boot android 8.1 and all of a sudden 7.1.2 at the click of a button. Just remember that OREO ROMS are only allowed as primary for the time being.

I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed!
Download the DBP app from here and install it.
Open the app and go to "Roms" in the navigation drawer.
It will ask if you want to set the kernel so make sure that you do. (. DO NOT UPDATE RAMDISK OR INSTALL BOOT UI)
Go to "Patch zip file" in the navigation drawer and patch the ROM or zip you want to install.
The app will select your phone model automatically and you can select one of the installation locations (Dual or data)
(if it's needed, to patch multiple files make it one by one with the same name if using data slot)
After the files have been patched, return to the "Roms' section and tap the floating button on the bottom right, and the one in the next window Select "Add patched file". Add the patched zips you want to install in the order you would in twrp! it will ask you if you'd like to keep the location so double check that it's correct! Hit the check box in the top right to launch mbtool flasher.
If everything was successful on the last page you will see "actions completed in green" (# depends on # of zips). Return to the main page of the app by hitting the back button on your navbar and you'll see your new Rom already selected.
Reboot your device and watch it boot into your newly installed Rom!! install the DBP app on every Rom so that you can switch via the app.
How to update the primary ROM?
Patch the zip for primary and flash it via TWRP. The "primary" installation target is designed so that other ROMs won't be affected when you want to flash something for the primary ROM.
If you have a lock pin/pattern, disable it before rebooting into dual/data slot for the first time on every rom and re-enable it upon booting back into primary. Make sure to grab zip utilities for a reliable failsafe via Aroma installer in TWRP (switching ROMS, etc).
Thanks to @yshalsager for submitting a pull request to add the Nextbit.yml I sent him on XDA to the DBP Github! Now we have official support! :highfive:

Your screenshot appears to not be loading? Maybe it's the wifi I'm on at the moment.. Can you elaborate more on the steps you had taken and what slot you are using to flash secondary 7.1.2 ROMS?
Dual Boot
Is it possible to dualboot with 2 roms that are oreo? Or one of them has to be nougat?

No. Primary needs to be Oreo if you wish to have an oreo ROM at all. Anything 7.1.2 and below can be installed with this

Due to recent changes in Android P, as well as upcoming changes in Android Q, DualBootPatcher is no longer being developed...........................
Read here https://github.com/chenxiaolong/DualBootPatcher/blob/master/README.md
So it most likely won't.

Font Freak: Bengali Fonts
If you are a rooted android user using Magisk, you're in luck. Some of you might remember the Bengali font modules that were in the Magisk Repo until a few days ago. They are no longer being allowed due a recent change in their policy. As such, I created a dedicated Repo for Bengali font modules. Download links are at the bottom of this post.
What is it?
It is an app in the form of a module for quicker and safer use. So, if you run into any problems, you can simply disable the module. NO RISK!
(P.S. As you can read from the title of this post, it will allow you to change the Bengali Font on your device. You can read more on that under how to use it. )
How to use it?
Simply install the module provided here. It will give you an app called "Font Freak". Open that app and you will find numerous font modules inside. Currently there are 12 font modules (as of 21 May 2019), but the number will only increase from henceforth.
What do I need to have?
Basic things really.
A rooted android device.
Magisk & Magisk Manager.
TWRP (Optional, but important).
Anything to be careful about?
YES! As explained in the description of each module inside the app, you cannot use multiple font modules at the same time. If you have activated two or more font modules at once, your device will go into a bootloop. But this is not deadly at all. You will need to install Magisk Manager for Recovery, which allows you to disable modules from TWRP recovery. Once you disable excess font modules, your phone will boot again.
Is this for OnePlus 6T only?
Not at all. This will work on any device meeting the requirements stated above.

See "How to use it" for your answer. As stated in the post, it is module that functions as a repo for other font modules. Read carefully please.

The "How to use it" section explains how to use the functions of the app, essentially "What it is". I know everyone knows how to use a module. I have not explained how to flash one of those.
The module systemlessly installs an "app" called Font Freak, which functions as a repo for font modules. That's what the module is. I think this was clear in the post as well.
If you want a specific answer to what it can do, isn't that already in the title of the post?

Question YouTube Vanced and Revanced replacing YouTube every boot

I've used Vanced (before it was taken down), and ReVanced with the root method, and due to crashes have uninstalled the modified versions of YouTube and installed the stock versions. I have done this for Twitter and Spotify as well. However every time I reboot my phone the stock applications are replaced with broken versions. I have found in the Magisk log (relevant section attached) that some scripts are being run which I think must be doing this. What's the best way to stop them from running?
Have you tried to disable the automatic update for the affected APPs in the play store? It might update it everytime you restart the phone.
That's not the issue, as it only happens when my phone restarts and to fix it I have to uninstall and reinstall through the play store

Have you attempted to follow the guide for root method through the ReVanced GitHub page?

Here is something I would look at first when dealing with the installation prerequisites:

Additionally, make sure auto-update is turned off for YouTube in the Google play store. (Or install the magisk module to prevent this, as recommended by the dev.)
How were you installing the patched apps? Were you using a magisk module or the revanced application? If it is a magisk module make sure you uninstall that as well. If it is the revanced app make sure you unpatch the desired app first. After that in both cases uninstall the app and clear all app data for it in settings. Then I would reboot before you try reinstalling.

I was using ReVanced Manager to install them. The manager is not fully complete iirc and support for installation has been removed. I checked the source code though, and tracked down the installation logic. The attached files are installed in /etc/adb/ by ReVanced Manager (well not the Vanced ones but I thought I would attach those too). I should be able to remove these I think?
EDIT: actually attach zip

It looks like I can?
I had the same problem like you.
I used this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/revanced-revanced-extended-guides-useful-links.4523967/
Since its on the same site i trust it.
Its a direct download and install, no compiling voodoo magic and stuff.
The apks from the link both installed a copy of the youtube app. Now i dont care if the original gets updated or downgraded after restart.
Question: is it possible to redirect links from google directly to the revanced apps?
I had this issue. Here's what fixed it: go here using Solid Explorer (or other root file manager) /data/adb/service.d
Delete anything related to Vanced or ReVanced.
Reinstall ReVanced.
This will stop your YouTube from resetting every reboot.
