HTC Artemis FCC ID? - P3300, MDA Compact III General

Hi all, what's the HTC Artemis' FCC ID? Got a European version of this device and no FCC ID is shown there. Have you tried to search for the FCC docs yet at the FCC's website?
Thank you,
PavelR.

Hi, anyone from US with the Artemis device here to let me know the FCC ID? .. or is it not shown there? Thank you.
PavelR.

Dude, if someone knew they would have answered you

I wonder where you got you device in Europe. Expansys has once again played their favourite trick: count down to "available in 1 day" and reset the counter to 5.

... the HTC Artemis has been available for a week in my country (Czech Rep.). It seems that most of the IT distributors here have it in their stock ...

Indeed - and what a catchy tag line! "Keep the world in one!"
As HTC is Taiwan based company, it has the website here: http://www.htc.com.tw
No QTEK
support though - where do we get firmware updates from when they arrive?
Also, how about Windows Pocket - as far as I can see on the Windows Mobile site there's no downloads/support available.
For one we need the WiFi upgraded at some point...
Better buy an iMater, they have a support page and forum. :?

Good afternoon Paul,

Subject: o2 xda orbit upgrade for windows mobile 6.0
Hi, I am emailing due the release of the WM6.0 rom released via o2 Germany, and I was wondering when o2-uk will be offering the same.
I am eagerly awaiting this rom update for my new xda orbit device.
Also are your technical support team able to offer any information on any new features of the update and whether O2 active will be included in this build.
Cheers.
Paul

i just got a reply from a nice chap at o2, hopefully soon we will get our free upgrade.
i tried to get info on what will be released/new feature on wm6 for our device.but allas no joy...
hopefully they will let me test future roms etc!!
Thats a far more in depth response than I got when I asked them. All I was told was that they can't give a date and to keep checking the website for further information. Only problem is since o2's uk website is so rubbish I've not found anywhere relating to support downloads for devices!

When they finally get their act together, there will probably be another tab called 'software updates' added to the 'I've already got an Orbit' page. This has been the case with other devices, although they all had the launch ROM available on the site too, which is not the case with the Orbit.
Another in depth response from O2 UK - this is what I got from them yesterday:
Good Afternoon
Thank you for your e-mail.
We will be launching the WM 6 update for the Orbit, but unfortunately we cannot provide a specific date to you due to confidentiality.
We do believe this update will be provided during the summer period.
If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind regards
Paul

Confidentiality from who? Customers?
Sounds like the staff at o2 are as in the dark as the customers! The information probably hasn't filtered down to the help desks yet so they're all giving their own version of events. Either that or they're telling us different stories on purpose to confuse us all!
I would go for the different stories theory. The reply i received was that they (O2) had no intention of releasing a free WM6 update as this OS was designed for new hardware and not backwards compatible.
I think O2 should get their act together. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing.
Hope it comes out soon. Time will tell.
I just received a call from O2, following up an enquiry on wm6 upgrade on orbit at their site www.my-xda.com. They said that nothing can be said at the moment but has asked me to enquire next month and they would have a definite answer on the matter.

HTC Desire FCC Id - ordering from usa

hello all,
I am in US and I am planning to order htc desire from uk website. Some one told me that while shipping any handset to US, FCC id of the device needs to be
provided to the courier company. I searched in google for fcc id but no use. I would really appreciate if any one provide me the id.
Thanks in advance
Two things you might want to look at filings under Bravo. I think that was one of the orignal code names. Also I donot think a version from Europe will give you 3G in the states. I know it will not on AT&T.
sorry i forgot to mention i will be using it on Asian 3g networks.

There probably isn't one - since the Desire is not designed for the US market, I doubt that it has been sent to the FCC for certification.
Note that the Verizon Droid Eris was previously codenamed the Desire, and that was passed by the FCC so searching for the Desire will almost certainly give you the FCC id for the wrong device.
Regards,
Dave
if it does, it may appear as the PB99200, the nexus is the PB99100
although i am not sure that it has FCC clearance as it is not intended for sale in the US.

For the purposes of shipping to the US, if the carrier requires the FCC number (which just seems unlikely to me if you're buying from the UK), I'd be inclined to just put down the Nexus FCC ID as RHedgehog has quoted here.
It does seem a rather pointless requirement though if you are importing a single unit for personal use and not to resell. After all, I've never been stopped by US customs when I fly into the US for bringing in my personal phones which also don't have FCC certification.
Regard,
Dave

According to the frequency band chart, the device is 100% compatible on all bands using O2.....
Take a look at this page I've located....including the APN settings information.
https://apn-uk.gishan.net/en/device/htc-one-m9
You should be good based on the correct APN settings....g

Good find, except it doesn't specifically answer the question.
I know these phones work in the UK its just whether I need a different Radio.
Thanks
Right, the Unlocked/Developer edition will not update the software...I've been down this road before.
Once again I have bought a counterfeit M9, this time from Amazon...
And once again no one cares...
Meanwhile I still haven't got a mobile phone.
Anyone now where I can buy and original HTC M9 in the UK please?

Oh no !!
This is twice ??
Amazon will take it back....if you claim warranty against it.....especially if you are beyond the 30 day return window.
I had a camera that I bought last year that was a sony clone....and at 45 days out I sent it back under warranty...
I sent them an email and explained....then they issued an RMA..
I bid you good luck !!!...g

Just spoken to HTC, thankfully this one is not a counterfeit....
BUT
It is meant for the American market, which means it wont work in this country!!!
I've never had so much trouble buying a phone.
So I have given up with HTC and am buying a Sony as I can get a free PS4 with it!!
I would be mad not to!!
