Screen Protectors and Flip Cases UK - General Accessories

Hi;

Anyone suggest a GOOD UK supplier that stocks quality screen protectors, there are so many dealers its hard to know who to use??

Screen Protectors

Hey,
Who here has a screen protector on thier pda/phone?
If so what recommendations do you have?
When you have a screen protector applied, does it go right to the edge of the screen so that you can hardly see it?
Does the touch screen still work as well as if the screen protector wasn't there?
Do finger prints show up on the screen protector?
Do the stylus do any damage to the screen protector?
I am thinking of purchasing the invisble shield for my HTC 8525 and i was wandering if anyone has any reviews about it?
Cheers
Just purchased a few from ShieldZone!
Should be getting them in 3 weeks!!!
Screenprotectors are great!

Brando UltraClear Screen Protector for HTC Snap now available

Here.
I have an UltraClear protector for my Vox - I would agree with the numerous comments elsewhere on this forum that these screen protectors are excellent.
EDIT: Just received my protector today, with the usual excellent speedy service from Hong Kong (to the UK in this case). I'm very happy with it - fits perfectly and to the usual Brando high standard.
Where can I buy one for myself ?
Can I know where can I but iy ?
I'm also looking for a screen protector for this phone but I'm not sure if the Brando will fit. The link you've posted says it's for the HTC S511 which is supposed to be this phone, http://www.navigadget.com/wp-content/postimages/2009/06/sprint-htc-snap-s511.jpg.
I have the HTC Snap S521 which is this phone, http://www.letsgodigital.org/images/artikelen/681/htc-snap.jpg.
Both seem to be known as HTC Snap, could you please tell me which phone you have and whether the screen protector covers the whole screen and if you need to cut the screen protector to fit the screen.
Sorry for the slow reply. I have the same device as you - i.e. the one shown at http://www.letsgodigital.org/images/artikelen/681/htc-snap.jpg.
I ordered the screen protector from Brando at the link given above. It fits the device perfectly, covers the entire glass screen area (i.e. including the whole area beyond where the actual pixels of the screen stop) and does not require any cutting. Delivery is fast from Hong Kong and it's easy to apply - I'm very happy with it.
There does appear to be some confusion with the various different versions of the device around - I just had to return a case which didn't fit properly.
Thanks for replying. Great to hear that it fits perfectly I'm going to order one as soon as possible.
I'm not sure what kind of case you are looking for. The device has almost the same measurements as the iPhone. I have bought this one and it fits perfectly, http://www.crumpler.nl/?page=details&product_id=TCC-003&sid=97cc53d0a0cc21c3bd716da439427c1b .
Received my Brando protector today, it is a perfect fit! Thanks for the link.
can someone post the picture?
I have the Brando UltraClear installed, along with the Talkie Tech case. Great combo!

Where can I get a good screen protector?

Hi, my device is HTC Cingular 8525. I want to get a screen protector film. I do have one now pushed on my phone, but its too cheap as I can see scrathes I made on it after one week use. I want get a new better one that doesn't have such kind of problem. I already look a lot of products. ZAGG's InvisibleShield ones seem good but I don't think buying a film for 15 dollars when my phone only worth 100 dollars is a good idea. Also I found on Ebay some item ask 10$ including shippment, but I don't know whether they are good. Therefore I want to ask: Anyone here has any recommendation? (Website links, keywords, ebay seller name, all welcomed) I want a screen protector totally charges below $10 with a reasonable protection against scrathes (both screen and film itself should be okay with scrathes made by stylus pen in normal use)
Proporta. One word.
Excellent - except for very HighRes devices...as you see the grain there. However, generally, dont expect to get more than 3 to 6 months out of such a thing.
I've always liked ClearTouch Anti-Glare ($13) on my Hermes!
To me... this is the best one....
9$ free shipping

sounds a lot like InvizibleShield http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield I've had one on my touch pro and it survived everything i threw in my pocket. No scratches or marks on my screen. The full body skin was decent, corners started to come away after a few months use and i was about to send in for a replacement as they also have lifetime warranties when i got an upgrade to the touch pro 2
On ebay there are also numerous protectors to be found
try 3m vikuiti screen protectors
someone here said they were good:

I like using screen protectors on my phone due to the fact it helps protect the LCD screen from dirt/dust and even if you dropped it screen first. Heads up don't get the mirror screen protector, they are hard to keep clean and it leaves your hand prints all over. I see it is that the above-linked screen protector is so cheap that it's worth a shot, and it means you don't have to worry about being too careful where you keep your Phone Touch. I'm definitely glad I have it. Just make sure that you take the time to affix it. Check this website: Uxsight.com
Hello
The "first generation" of screen protectors were made from very thin films based on the concept that an extra layer between the two surfaces (screen and stylus) would provide the needed protection to prolong the life of the device. These screen protectors came (and still come) in packs of 10 to 20 protectors and are hand-cut by the end consumer to fit the specific device. Such screen protectors, while offering extra protection, did not completely fill the need in the marketplace. They peeled up easily and they scratched almost as easily as the screens, causing the protector to be replaced often.
I have seen some good reviews of the ViewGuard Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector online. What do you guys think?
ebay is the best place
bought 5 for $3.50

I've had the "Skinomi TechSkin Carbon Fiber Skin Protector" on my phone for about a year. I haven't noticed any orange peel effect personally. Skinomi also sells just a screen protector, but I can't be sure if it is the same one that came with the carbon fiber skin protector.
Skinomi was too expensive for me because of shipping cost. After some searching I took a chance and bought w w w.ebay.com/itm/321029266792 these. They came today and I installed it very fast. I am happier than ever. It is edge to edge, without any orange peel effect. It is too difficult to say if there is any screen protector at all.I recommend them all the way. Best quality at a very good price.

i'm using it too , it is perfect :good:
Where they dry apply? Only the Wet Apply have orange peel and feel tacky.
I've tried using the Wet Apply several times and just can't stand them. The only time a Wet Apply is needed is if the glass is curved or tapered at the end. I originally bought one for the Galaxy Nexus only to discover that I've been torturing myself. I picked up a dry apply and couldn't be happier.
I have the XO Skins edge to edge protector for the nexus and it works great, crystal clear.
theydle services
I recomend this one:
Search on Ebay for "New 3x CLEAR Screen Protector Guard Cover Film Samsung Google Galaxy Nexus i9250" the vendor name is "rockymobile"
Very cheap (about 2€) but no reflects, no texture, no orange peel, for sure the best screen protector i buy for years.

Official Glass Screen Protecter - Manchester UK - Help?

Dear fellow 5T owners. I have had a bit of a saga with getting a glass screen protector fitted. I've been to three o2 stores in the UK that sell the phone and the official oneplus screen protector and at three stores they have stuffed up the screen protectors either with dust/bubbles/hair and i've spent hours trying to find a store that can actually fit one right. Anyone have any advice on anyone in the area who can _actually_ do it without ruining it?

Just curious, how much are these places charging/are you spending each time?
This isn't a reply that will answer your question as such, but I've had a bit of a saga with screen protection generally. I've finally (possibly) settled with am Invisible Shield high quality plastic film screen protector, as I just wasn't happy with glass ones. For me, yes they sound good in theory and look nice, but the highly reflective surface and loss of the beauty of the AMOLED screen put me off them. Not to mention the rainbow effect I had.
So my reason to respond really was just to throw it out there, have you considered a non glass protector? As I applied mine myself (a wet installation) in my bathroom full of steam from the hot shower and it's applied perfectly. It is even compatible with my case, though this was a cheaper case comparable to the Spigen Rugged Armour case, but unfortunately with that one it started to lift up at the edges a bit.
I am SO tempted just to go 'naked' though though I do like having this extra protection. My previous phone was the Galaxy S8 which only had 1 small light scratch from my cat walking on it, other than that I treat it well and I didn't feel the need for a screen protector.
Apologies again for not actually assisting with your question, though wanted to discuss the topic at the very least...
