[REQ] Need a shortcut to toggle Bluetooth on/off - Touch HD Themes and Apps

I am using a BT handsfree in my car. I need a quick method to toggle BT on/off mith the minimum of clicks. Ideally, on the home screen.
Any solution is appreciated, also existing apps/tweaks whatsoever.
The option to keep BT all the time on is not acceptable, due to many reasons eg. battery consumtion.
Thanx

Search for vjvolubilis. It's here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=255911

try ammars or panoshas action screens (search for them in this section of the blackstone apps)
work a treat - ammars action screen enables bluetooth with discoverability and panoshas just enables bluetooth

Hi!!
Try Launch Manager...its veeeery goood

you my use the previous tips or just get that http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=362115, simplest of possibilities....this cab add to your programs an icon which tapped make your bluetooth on and discoverable mode....tap it again and it will switch it of.

AEButton Plus will do what you're after. I have it set to a tripple press of the up volume button (double is WiFi toggle, single: Volume) but you can set it to anything, even a single press.

It's not actually only the toggle, it's a whole software to programmatically change buttons behavior.
Don't know what you mean with two files, all you need is a .cab file. Simply comy it somewhere to device (e.g. onto mictoSD per USB cable) and then start it in Windows Explorer.
During install you will get the settings window, where you can perform settings as I suggested above.

Using "OK" Buttons to close apps?

The OK button only minimizes. Anyway to map it so it closes the open application? I know holding down the "X" button closes, but then I have to touch the screen.
Try installing the x-button application. I've constantly used the ok button to close apps with no problem.
I'm using black 2.0 and have never had to manually close apps since wm5.

AE Button Plus is what you want. You can map almost all the buttons on outside of your device to do what you want. One of the included options is to "CLOSE ACTIVE APPLICATION"
I've attached a cab, and below are the details on the application from their website
This utility extends functionality of hardware keys on Windows Mobile devices. It allows you to:
intercept almost any standard button: application buttons, WM5 SoftKeys, Volume slider, Action and even Red/Green phone buttons
distinguish up to 4 different keypress events on each button grabbed (single, double, triple and "long" keypresses).
remap each of the keypress events to "virtual" application button or assign them directly to one of the wide set of built-in actions.
As a result you may "convert" volume slider to up/down arrows, assign several essential application buttons to these "SoftKey" buttons and even assign your favorit alternative dialer to red/green phone buttons.
Current list of built-in keypress actions
Run Application
Emulate keypress of Enter (Action), Esc and up/down/left/right keys
Emulate standard application buttons
"Virtual Application Button"
Being specified as keypress action, "Virtual button" appears in standard Start -> Settings -> Buttons setup dialog and may be assigned here.
Volume up/down
Emulate Soft Keys
Close (terminate) active application
Switch next application
Alt+Tab (switch between two last applications)
Task Manager with charge level / memory summary info. Task manager may be operated with directional pad (up/down - choose application, left/action - switch to, right - terminate) or finger/stylus.
You may apply filters to hide annoying applications (e.g. Phone)
Ok/Close
Start Menu
Switch Display Off/On. Once you switch display OFF you may turn it back ON by the same keypress event or simply pressing Power On button.
Switch BlueTooth Off/On
Switch WiFi Off/On
Vibration mode Off/On (WM5 only)
Turn Off PDA
Soft-Reset PDA (Soft Reset)
Screen rotation
Go Online / Drop DialUp connections / Trigger Online
Disable "Power Off device if not used..."
Switch to Today screen
Clipboard operations: Select All / Copy / Cut / Paste
Memory Monitor
Battery Monitor/Uptime Forecast. It will show battery voltage/current/temperature if corresponding sensors are available
Current Date/Time
Pop-up menu with important AEBPlus actions. This feature is available in activated version only
Any built-in action may be initiated by shortcut calling aebplus.exe with corresponding command line parameter
You could go for the free and better working PQzII. AE was a bit temperamental for me. I use it in conjunction with Wisbar Advance 2 to minimise some programs & close others. There is an option to close with OK or see below for mapping the OK button.

Alt F4 under HW button
Hello, my solution is to map small application Alt F4 under HW key... I used for this application HButton, which allows me to map under one button n number of apps (for short push #1 app, longer push #2 app...), so I have under messaging button Messaging + Alt TAB and under IE button Opera Mini + Alt F4. Easy, used only 3 small free apps.

Looks really good.
sure so many apps out there, free and commercial, but quickmenu is one I use, simple and powerful, I think it's the best, give it a try. Install, run it once, and go to Options to checkk to use the OK button.
Well, that was great - AEB worked wonderfully for me. It was exactly what I needed - one button to open and close Bluetooth.
It was a headache specially with the password lock every 15 min, to unlock, open connmgr, enable bluetooth and the same for the reversal. Specially in the outside light where you cannot see the screen very well, typing the password to unlock was a disaster.
Now I only need to press power and press the button fro BT to enable or disable it.
Thanks a lot!

rotate screen via button press?

has this been done, I have tried the gsensor programs and they work ok but not always perfect, for example you want to type a message first you have to wait till the program is loaded then rotate otherwise you have to rotate back and forth until the screen is how you want it. What I would really like is an app where when you press both volume up and volume down the screen goes into landscape(or long hold of end key but i think both volume would be better)
is this available? I couldnt find it anywhere.
Perhaps you could use MortScript to rotate and assign it by "AE Buttons" to longpress VolUp. Also thought about it - but had no time yet.
Espacially cause I need landscape only in my car and wanted to rotete it by "BlueStarter" & Mortscript. But I dont know how to automatically change back to "portrait" if bluetooth device is not detected anymore.
if you have Advance confiq you can assign a button to rotate the screen.
I have been using this as I didnt like any of the auto-rotate programs.

Not too sure bout the advance config program, but this is wat i did for manual screen rotation:
settings --> buttons --> Program Buttons (tab) --> 2. Assign a program: select <Rotate Screen>
Now everytime you press and hold the "Call" key, the screen should rotate...
if your button settings don't have screen rotation as an option just follow these instructions: http://www.fuzemobility.com/enable-long-press-of-phone-key-to-rotate-screen/
Hi guys thanks for the advice, I tried what you have suggested but for some reason my long call press isnt recognized, no matter what action I tell it to take.
I fear I will need to do a hard reset to sort out my phone even though I only just flashed a new rom and put in all my settings.
I've just been trying this out and too cannot assign anything to the send button. No matter what I tell it to do nothing happens!
I'm currently running Dutty 3.7 rom.

i dont have the "screen rotate" option too in my settings.
install advanced config-->start advanced config--> go to "screen"-->enable "show orientation settings" -->end adv config
go to start-->settings-->personal-->buttons--> and now you have the opotion "rotate screen"
after this you can rotate the screen on long press the call button.

I have the option, its just long press of call button doesnt register whith rotation or any other option I select
alternatively, install the small utility that I created so that I can choose the orientation mode from the button that I've mapped to.

Porting LG Fathom ROM (v5) to eXpo/IQ

I've spent the last little while porting the LG Fathom ROM (v5) to my LG IQ to see if there is anything from it that I want to add to my own ROM before I add the finishing touches. Is anyone else working on this by chance?
Here is where I am at....

- Not much to see here. the Verizon Theme is pretty dark. They re-arranged the list, added favorite contacts and changed text to message.
Start Menu:
- The start menu lists several new additions
Message - SMS/MMS replacementVisual Voice Mail - Verizon VVMMobile Email - Outlook E-mail replacementMobile IM - AIM, WL & Yahoo IM ClientCity ID - App & Plugin that shows contact city name based on numberVZ Navigator - Verizon GPS NavigationWorld Clock - It's a world clockOffice Mobile 2010 - upgraded to 2010 from v4
Settings:
- Lock Key is a new addition to the main settings screen. Enabling this app causes your phone to resume to lock state from suspend state.
Connections:
- Normally Beam is hidden here. The only new addition is Switch USB. This app allows you to switch between RNDIS mode, Dial-up modem mode and USB Mass Storage.
Personal:
- Voice Commands is the configuration interface for Nuance, the voice command app included instead of MS Voice Command.
System:
- Several changes were made in the System folder. The icons and programs for Backlight, Power and System Information were updated. The CPL Sensors was added (Proximity, Backlight & Rotation sensor control). ClearStorage has moved to become a tab under Memory and WirelessLAN appears to have been removed although the exe is still included in OEMMisc. Finally the GPS program port has changed to COM5 instead of GPD9.
Dialer:
- LG has updated the Dialer for the Fathom. The appearance is very similar, but corrected to match the WM 6.5.x screen structure (small taskbar, large bottom bar with touch buttons).
On-screen Keyboard:
- The on-screen keyboard has been updated. Again you don't get an on-screen keyboard in landscape mode.
Lockscreen:
- LG added Gesture Unlock (\Settings\Lock). It allows you to unlock your phone and launch an app based on the gesture you enter.
LG Camera:
- LG removed the Flash setting from the camera app (since the Fathom has no flash) and clicking on the Album button (bottom right) now takes you to Pictures & Videos (the 3D LG Album has been removed).
***
Next post will discuss specific apps and current issues
TrueG
Issues:
City ID:
This app is pretty cool. You can enter a number and it will tell you what city is it from. More importantly, there is a plug-in for the dialer that will tell you the city you are calling or being called from. It requires the LG dialer and the city name shows up in the dialer and the lock screen.
I have the plug-in working, but when I try and use the app, it tells me to restart the phone. Since everything but OEMDrivers & OEMDriversHigh have been ported, there must be a setting in the RGU or a missing file, although I don't really care about the app, it's the plug-in that has real value.
Lock Key:
The Lock Key app under settings would be very useful. The app simply sets a value in the registry (HKCU\ControlPanel\KeyLock\EnabledKeyLock=1) but I can't get it to work. I'm guessing a different keypad driver is required (or whichever DLL deals with the power button).
Gesture Unlock:
Although this appears to be running (screen comes up in lockscreen and I can make gestures), I can't get it to unlock using a gesture. Technically, I'm not really interested in this function, so I haven't spent much time on it.
Switch USB:
I've spent a bit on time on this one, but I can't get it work 100%. I can get it to open without error and I can switch between ActiveSync mode and VZAccess Manager mode. When I try to use USB Mass Storage mode, I get the error "Insert SD Card". I've tried every dll that I can think of, but nothing gets past this error. It may be that the VS750 uses a different address for the SD card slot and it may never work on our device without a patch. Although I may skip trying to get it to work. As it is with ActiveSync and VZAccess Manager, you need to reset between changes. If you need to reset between switching to USB Mass Storage, then I am not interested. I can already use WM5torage to activate USB Mass Storage on demand.
Also, I was able to switch it to USB Mass Storage mode by modifying the registry.
Change HKLM\Drivers\USB\FunctionDrivers\DefaultClientDriver from RNDIS to Mass_Storage_Class and reboot. When the phone comes back up it will be in USB Mass Storage mode (\OEM\OEMDrivers\usbmsfn.dll required)
Backlight & Power:
LG updated the Backlight & Power control panels to support the WM 6.5.x tab structure (select between pages using top arrows. Neither works properly. For example in \Backlight\Brightness you can't change the brightness level. Using Backlight.dll from the Fathom doesn't work with our Backlight. Power properly shows the power level, but the advanced controls don't work.
Sensor:
The Sensor control panel app works perfectly.
Clear Storage:
Clear Storage is now found under \Settings\System\Memory although I can't get it to work. I get the error, NV Reset is failed. I don't want to play around with this and accidentally brick my phone.
LG Dialer:
No problems.
***
Does anyone else have experience porting over LG Fathom apps? I would be interested to hear issues or fixes other people have run into.
TrueG
Looks good, I'm about to start building my own Expo ROM as soon as exams are over.
thanks for all you work on this trueg, looks great! how is development on it so far? Would it be possible for you to release the OEM files you modified so others can cook their own roms?

[XAP] Power Slider - App to change master volume & Screen Brightness

Hi,
I have created a simple app for changing master volume. This app would be helpful for those who do not wish to use physical keys. This app works in dev unlocked device and greater.
Finally, thanks to Fiinix for the dllImport project.
Update 1:
========
Added Screen brightness slider also. Not sure if it is really needed by users.
Though the values are updated to registry, there is not much difference in brightness while sliding.
Thanks to Heathcliff for WP7RootTools sdk.

That did it, works fine. Was waiting for something like this.
At a guess, this shouldn't even require interop-unlock, much less full-unlock or root-unlock. Is that correct? I know you can change the volume level using DllImportProject on just dev-unlock only.
Few improvements imho:
*mute button should unmute if phone allready muted
*max level button
*arround 3 custom buttons (that you can previously set the vol level to w/e you want)
*a metro icon
cheers
In my not full-unlock rom of my HTC Mozart work well. Thanks.

@GoodDayToDie,
Yes, all dev unlocked devices will be supported. It doesn't need full unlock.
@fredsky2,
Will update with a metro icon and preset button. Max vol could be configured in preset itself.
The api does not have support for mute. I could only reduce the volume to 0. Even if I store the value locally, it will not be useful if physical keys are also used in parallel.
a most excellent idea, thanks. will provide feedback once i actually try it out.
definitely a nice application.
and i do agree with the suggestions by @fredsky2, plus a 'return to default 15 volume' button.
i don't see the use of Custom Buttons beyond a Max, Default & Mute button.
i also suggest removing the Splash Screen, application should load more swiftly.
if you want to do a Mute/Unmute button, you might...
when Mute button is pressed:
01. catch & save the current volumeValue
02. change volumeValue to 0
03. change button Title to Unmute or hide buttonMute to reveal buttonUnmute
when [Un]mute Button is pressed:
01. grab savedVolumeValue
02. change volumeValue to savedVolumeValue
03. change Button Title to Mute or hide buttonUnmute to reveal buttonMute

Oh My God! Thanks OP for coming out with this. Your timing couldn't be any better....
I just posted a dismantling guide for the Titan in the Titan fora and I accidentally broke the data strip that connects the volume hard keys to the device. Much to my surprise (or lack thereof), there is no way to change volume without these keys (or with a headset that allows you to do this). Your app is literally the answer to my prayers
Thanks again!
@sh4d0w86,
Improved loading speed of app by removing unwanted dll's. It should be now faster.
Works on my Windows Phone Samsung Focus, Chevron Unlocked, Mango . Here are my suggestion.
1. Live Tile to Mute, Bring Volume to a Defined Level.
2. Colour of the bar can change from green to yellow to red depending if volume is low, medium and high.
- Live Tile can also follow the color codes
3. Support for Vibrate Mode and Live tile for it.
4. Fancy Stuff :
- Let user tilt the phone to change volume.
- Support with Talk Me to set volume to a desired level.
And Like sh4d0w86 said, sync when volume is changed with hardware button.
---------- Post added at 12:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:32 PM ----------
If possible bring in the profiles where I can have combination of Volume Level, Vibration etc to change it at a certain time or when I need it.
@Purushoth
Very useful app, works very well on my Omnia 7 with custom rom.
Big thanks.
@sh4d0w86,

Not working correctly on my HTC 7 Pro (fully unlocked)
Volume control working fine.
Brightness changes nothing..
Apps showing me : "Error occured: The System cannot find the file specified"
SAME Thing as by Lidanh !

Galaxy S6 Tips and Tricks

1. Double tap home button to launch the camera in under one second.
1B. Disable the double-tap quick launch in the camera options to get rid of the delay when pressing the home button. It's a neat feature, but makes the home button much more quicker. (Thanks to @B1aze)
2. Use themes to change the look of your phone (limited as of right now; will be more widely available in the coming weeks to developers/themers).
3. Go into your App drawer and long press an icon as if you want to move/delete it. The small circles with the red '-' sign will let you either delete an app (if third-party) or disable it (if built-in).
4. Hold the power key for more than 7 seconds and the device will reboot. Hold VolUp+Home+Power to boot into recovery. Hold VolDown+Home+Power to boot into Download Mode.
5. Whenever you want to take a "selfie", you can simply frame the image first, and then put your finger on the heart rate sensor under the LED light at the back in order to take one.
6. When downloading a large file (30+ MB) and you have LTE AND are near WiFi, activate Download Booster! Settings--->More Connection Settings--->Download Booster. It combines both your WiFi and LTE connections into one for amazing DL speeds. Stupid Sprint took this out :/
7. Notification reminders! Settings--->Accessibility--->Notification reminders.
8. Don't forget to claim your free 100 GB cloud storage with OneDrive!
9. Private mode... You can hide content from prying eyes, including photos, videos, music, web history, and such. To activate it, go to Settings--->Privacy and safety--->Private mode.
10. Do Not Disturb mode. Dare I say... Better than Google's implementation of "priority notification only" mode. You can set a schedule for it, who IS/ISN'T allowed to contact you while it's on, etc.
11. Screen Pinning. Go to Lock Screen and Security--->Other Security Settings--->Pin Windows.
12. Customize your screen grid (4x4, 4x5 or 5x5) by pinching in when on the home screen.
13. Developer Options.. To enable this, go to Settings--->About Device--->Tap "Build Number" 10 times and you will unlock Developer Options!
14. Make your device a bit faster by going to Developer Options and setting window animation scale, transition animation scale & animator duration scale all to 0.5.
15. When you are in an app (Chrome, Gallery .... whatever) and you drag your finger from the upper right corner to somewhere in the middle of the screen the app shrinks which makes it more usable with one hand. (Thanks to @derWolf_)
16. You can have changing lockscreen wallpapers by changing it in the settings and selecting multiple wallpapers in the selection box. (Thanks to @altimax98)
17. For those having issues with Snapchat videos, go into Developer settings (see #13) and uncheck Nuplayer.
18. For better results with the fingerprint scanner, register your thumb multiple times for it to be more accurate.
19. Screenshot by holding power+home at the same time or using palm swipe to capture (turn on in settings).
20. Direction lock... Settings-->Accessibility. New way of unlocking your phone.
21. Under voice wake you can use Svoice to set a custom phrase to wake up the phone directly to listening for a command. (Thanks to @benjmiester)
22. If you rest any registered fingers over the scanner, it'll light up which registry it is. Helpful is you need to redo the fingerprint. (Thanks to @hayabusa1300cc; post #13 for screenshot).
23. Really debloat your GS6 (no root needed!)
24. Cell standby drain? Go into recovery mode and wipe your cache, power off phone completely then reboot.
25. Go to the dialer, and press the green dial button. It will load the last dialed number. (Thanks to @Jrhoop)
26. Disable the capacitive lights with no root required! (A LOT OF THANKS to @Averix)
26A. How to disable capacitive button lights. (ADB)
27. The volume down button can be used to take pictures when the camera app is running. (Thanks @segag)
28. Use volume keys in default messaging app to increase/decrease font size. (Thanks @jambo89liam)
29. If you want to enable grayscale without going into super power saving mode, go to settings -> personal -> accessibility -> direct access and turn both direct access on and grayscale. Once you do this, a triple tap of the home button will toggle grayscale on and off. (Thanks @shappy0869)
Will be adding as time goes on, feel free to add your own and I will add it to the OP!

I read somewhere that the phone doesnt have that option unless you go into power saving mode or somerthing like that. This was one of the first things i tried doing at store but couldnt.
Why Samsung removed this option I have no clue, but it was a stupid one.
Keep clicking on the Android version in About Device menu > brings up Lollipop > click on lollipop to change colors a lot of times
while on that screen clicking > click and hold the lollipop > loads an Android "Flappy Bird" game.

That's every phone on Lollipop!
Has anyone figured out to disable extra sensitivity on the phone? I read its enabled by default but there's no way to disable it.
Ok I've figured out something with the fingerprint scanner. If you didn't rename the registered fingers then you may forget which finger is assigned like i did.
Well if you rest any registered fingers over the scanner, it'll light up which registry it is. Helpful is you need to redo the fingerprint.

Not really an S6 trick/tip. But I just figured out that if you tap the build number in google play store, it'll force update to latest version.

That was implemented months ago my friend.
Launch Google Now by holding the home button
Here are two tips that I don't think have been mentioned.
First, battery life will be greatly increased if you enable wi-fi calling under Connections. Once enabled (and activated on your Sprint account, for free), your cellular radio will essentially be turned off and all calls will go over wifi. I have noticed this really helps extend battery life.
Second, if you want to enable grayscale without going into super power saving mode, go to settings -> personal -> accessibility -> direct access and turn both direct access on and grayscale. Once you do this, a triple tap of the home button will toggle grayscale on and off.
Almost at 30, keep em' coming
If you long press on a notification it will change a darker color then click on the white exclamation box and it will take you straight the notification settings for that app. Much easier than going the long way around.
