Any good themes working on CyanogenRom 4.1.6?

You can check out this which I will be porting to Magic/Sapphire shortly.

reuse, reduce, recycle (this thread)
gonna pull this one back up from the dead ...
I am running cyanogenmod on my phone and was using the enoch theme. I wanted to switch things up, but after wiping and reflashing my Power Management widget as well as my music player widget are still skinned.
I thought a wipe / reflash would have removed this stuff. Any ideas?

[Q] Interesting situation with CM6.1

OK so this is the deal. I flashed CM 6.1 and wanted to check out the Dark Froyo theme to see how it works. Turns out it doesn't, anytime I attempt to add a new account I can't get Gmail in there, Market/Gmail app don't even open at all. So I reflashed a fresh copy of CM6.1 after doing a data wipe/dalvik wipe and still appears like elements from the Dark Froyo are in there i.e. the black and white icons for gmail and market. Still can't get gmail to open or market to open. Any suggestions?
Nobody has any info about this? I haven't been able to find a relevant thread
Try doing a factory wipe from HBOOT.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
CM themes save an xml on the sd in the folder /CMThemes
If you delete that file, I think the theme and its options will be gone.
Dont forget to "apply" another theme in the CM Settings first...
I did the factory wipe from Clockwork, and mounted the SD to my comp to make sure I deleted it and the thing is gone. I moved to a different ROM for the time being, which is unfortunate because I really liked Cyanogen. I'm just giving Ultimate Droid a test drive for now.

I had the same thing happen with the iNexus theme. The only way I could get back to stock CM 6.1 was to an earlier nandroid backup. If you didn't run a backup before installing the theme, you will have to do a new install.

What do you mean new install? I downloaded the CM6.1 zip and put it back on my memory card and the flashed it again if that's what you're referring do. I mentioned that in my OP.
EDIT: I suppose this is all irrelevant now seeing as the speaker appears to be shot. Looks like I have to call in for a replacement.

[Q] Widgets background problem

Hi,
I am using RunnyDrOiD v5.0 on my desire z with sense 3.5 / Android 2.3.5
Out of sudden, and without installing new application, I am not able to see the background of the widgets (weather, clock, mail ...) and the icon description on the screen locker are showing in big red.
Attached are the pictures of whats going on.
Any idea what is the problem and the possible resolutions? Hope I don't have to install the ROM again and wipe data.
Thanks in advance.
Seems like your launcher doesn't start properly.. If rebooting doesn't solve your problem, then you can try to reflash without wiping. All System files are then put back to their original state, but your settings and installed apk's are not touched.
If that doesn't work, I think that you'll have to reflash with a full wipe.

Thanks man... SOLVED!
Re-flashed the ROM without wipe and everything works fine now.
Any idea why this happened? so that to avoid in future.
Saldy I have no clue.. Most likely there were some settings wrong or the launcher took to much ram memory to start properly, but I can't tell for sure. If this happends again, just reflash, and it works again.

Music widget on Sparkplug ROM?Hi

Hi. Cudnt ask this in the ROM thread so hope someone here can answer. Flashed the latest Sparkplug ROM. While setting up my screen I noticed there wasnt a music app. I thought maybe I froze it but the ony thing available is a music widget. When I expanded the zip using 7zip I see data/app contains htcmusic.apk but cannot find it anywhere on my phone. Cannot access the widget from the home screen widget setup cause its not listed as a widget.

That may have been removed or broken in the process of optimizing the ROM (I can't speak for the developer, hopefully he will have a better answer). For now, you can install something like Google Play Music which works well on Sense ROMs. The only thing it will lack that the HTC music player has is lockscreen controls.
Edit: You say htcmusic.apk is in /data/app/ ? It should be in /system/app/ to work, if my thinking is correct.
I think I know what the problem is. You need to boot into recovery, format /system, then re-install the ROM.
back story:
I managed to pick up another inc today and flashed Sparkplug to it, I'm planning on setting it up for my wife. I had the same problem, music and many other of the HTC sense apps were installed, though they did not show up in the menu, and the sense widgets didn't show up in the widgets menu either, something was definitely up with the Sense UI stuff, though the phone ran fine and some of the apps (like flashlight) worked just fine. I had rooted, downgraded, and gotten s-off, then installed the ROM. I had done a factory reset but I had not wiped /system, and that was the problem I think. I installed the ROM the first time with ClockworkMod recovery (I figured that would be needed for s-off to work).
Anyway, I installed TWRP recovery (because I like that better), wiped /system, cache, and dalvik, then installed the ROM again (did NOT do a factory reset this time). As I suspected, all the HTC apps are there and work now, including the music player. I highly doubt usinc TWRP or CWN will make a difference, but I think you need to format /system and reinstall the ROM.
Ok. I tried it. Formatted the system & reflashed. Music APK still was not available but the music widget was. Then I installed ADW launcher & the widget disappeared. So if I want music, I cant use ADW. Think ill just head on back over to touch of blue.
music.apk on Sparkplug
Noticed the same thing here. Anyone know where to get music.apk and how to properly install it? Thanks.
Edit: Never mind, found the answer. I can't post outside links yet so... Google "612827 need music apk file" and that should get you a link to androidforums.com. It's for the Galaxy but the file identified in comment #5 worked for me. Just ran it from my Internet browser using "file:///sdcard/Music.apk" and everything worked. Hope this helps the OP if he is still looking for an answer.

[Q] can't get clock app working after attempted install of 3.0 version

Verizon version running 4.2.2 stock rooted. Tried installing the 3.0 desk clock apk from android 4.4. I first backed up the apk with titanium, then removed 2.3.0. Then installed the 3.0 apk. The new app crashed immediately. Tried to uninstall 3.0 and restore 2.3 but now that crashes too. Tried everything from reboots and reinstalls, even recovery mode and wiping dalvik cache. Nothing works and I am stuck with no clock app.
Help.
Got the same issue a few minutes ago! I fixed it by
Settings > Apps > all > Clock ( the smaller one, about 0,88 in my case. Not the bigger one with 3mb)
Clear data in the main (bigger) App.
Working for me perfect so far! I guess the FC is caused by the clock settings for lock screen... Hope that works for you too!

No dice. Nothing works for me. I fear I may need to re-flash the stock ROM. Although, at this point I might as well flash a 4.3 ROM since Verizon is still holding out.
Just did a factory reset and still the clock crashes....... arrrrgh!
Had to do a full wipe, flash 4.2.2 and re-root. But now my clock works.
Next time I will wait for the update!

[Q] System Strings Corrupted

Hi, I've been trying to google this for a while, but can't seem to find what I need.
I just installed the stock rooted deodexed rom from captain throwback: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671395
specifically 5.07.651.6 Stock Rooted - Deodexed
Everything worked great. Then I installed CT's circle battery mod, a random quick settings mod, and a random advanced power menu mod, cleared cache and dalvik cache, and rebooted multiple times.
Now some system strings are strange, like when adjusting the normal volume, it says "Playing through bluetooth" although nothing is connected via bluetooth or headphones, etc. Also when you pull down the top bar, it used to say "click to enable USB debugging" or something like that, but now it just says "Select input method", although everything seems to still function properly.
Where can I find these corrupted system strings to adjust them back?
Thanks
Just reflash the ROM. Not all of those old mods will work on the newest base. I believe there's some hex-editing that needs to be done in a framework file somewhere to fix that, but I don't know anymore than that.
Thanks for the quick response. In that case, which mods would you recommend as far as getting circle battery mod, quick settings, and advanced power menu? Should I leave it alone if I don't want to corrupt the strings again?

I can't recommend any mods, as I haven't tested them. But the Circle Battery you should still be able to do yourself with UOT Kitchen. When it comes to APM & Quick Settings, that's where you're going to run into issues.
Awesome. I'm pretty sure it didn't happen until the APM mod, so I'll abandon that one. Thanks again for your help.
Edit: reflashing worked, and I was able to bake the honeycomb circle battery using UOT kitchen, plus the quicksettings I got from tommytomatoe works great. I wonder if I could have fixed the original issue by reinstalling the original framework-res.apk, systemUI.apk, and/or com.htc.resources.apk instead of having to reflash the whole rom. I guess I'll find out next time
