Best Android Games?

Now that I have a Epic, and not that old hero, I can do 3D gaming! so what are your Favs? Mine so far are.
Raging Thunder 2
Sandstorm.
Paper Toss
Angry Birds.

Definitely have the emulators game boid etc.

My long-time favorite Android games are Wixel and Word Mix; both have free versions. But in terms of games that can take advantage of the Epic's power, well... I haven't gotten any really demanding Android games yet. Air Control works a lot better than it did on my Moment though.
I think emulation is really the way to go. Especially now that you have a keyboard!

Nova, quake 3, asphalt 5 and crusade of destiny all work and look great.

Yes, Crusade of Destiny.. The game I love to hate playing. so much leveling it's crazy.
Best game would have to be caligo chaser. check it out if your into side scrolling RPG's.

I like air control, drop, and paper toss.. just some simple games I can play to pass time and boredom when at work or out n about.

I just got fruit ninja, and wow is that game awesome....

all these games are great but what games take advantage of epic's gpu?

glyder 2 works well with the epic. its free in the marketplace(ad supported) but still one of my favs.
a lot of reviews say its slow and isnt good.. but very smooth on the epic.

NFS Shift is amazing, graphics are sweet. Been playing it a lot now. I found a way to always lead the race and win 1st. My vote for best game.

My fav. Games are:
Nova
Paper toss
Tower raiders

I actually cant get this to work on my Epic. Always says I dont have enough space. How much do you need....???

Favorite Games/Apps?

I am just bored and have time to waste I just found NFS Shift (huge! 35mb!) and it is amazing.. I had a NFS game on Nintendo DS and this games is soooo much better then the DS game! Unbelieveable graphics, music etc used to like asphalt 5 alot but used to get the odd glitch.. with this, there are NO glitches, random freezess or anything gotta love the game!
also found.. Doodle Bowling.. Great time waster! Nice graphics and rather intresting theme
theres also a Plants vs Zombies (the actuall game!) and, well didnt get a proper chance to play it.. NFS but looked good.. will edit thi in a bit for the P vs Z

OMG OMG!I want it! how much was it?? I shall be looking for it on the Market!!

I like Hero of Sparta from Gameloft. It runs well on Desire and is great if you like (MMO)RPG stlye.

completed this game on my old Nokia 5800 haha.. will sure try again with the better graphics hopefully the story line will he different too!

As far as apps are concerned.. besides Ebuddy and Opera mini.. the only one worth a download is True Calculator..^^

Angry Birds ->>>> Quite Possibly the best/most addictive game I've played on a mobile platform
Jewels ->>>> Bejeweled Knockoff if you're into the puzzle thing (Free as well)
Tetris ->>>> Call me old school but I can never get enough of this one (goes by Tetronomis on Market, Free)
Kongregate Arcade is also a lot of fun, don't use it regularly but when there is free time, its decent entertainment.

By far the best games to have are...
-Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus ( if you don't have this game you trully aren't seeing what android is capable of. Ridiculous first person shooter)
-Angry birds
-Tank hero
- Super ko boxing 2
- and finally the classic robo defense

dungeon defunders.. works great for me oc at 1.2 ghz.

heavy gunner.. one of my favorites.
modern combat black pegasus as someone already mentioned is waaay sick. =]
need for speed shift..
speedx..
and slide puzzle is fun for when you only have a few minutes to kill..
idk if you would consider this a game. but tripping fest is tight ithink. its really fun to play with and you can make really tight designs. free as well.

I just got my HTC Desire Z yesterday and I am already addicted to:
Angry Birds

Cestos 2 ( really nice but hard to explane Multiplayer Game)

id usually be more into light games like doodle jump nd all those really long games usually aren't good on a phone.

NFS: shift
gun bros
meteor blitz (paid, geometry wars clone)
dungeon defenders
gba, snes, genesis emu's (genesis is tigers emu, others are paid yongz's, w/game gripper)
had pocket legends but once u get past the mmo-on-phone wow-ness its lame.
kongregate
mini-squadron original (paid)
phone is oc'd to 1Ghz, all games run buttery bottom smooth. running enoms official 2.14.2 w/pershoots kernel.

whiskey's got some of my cash
so does cyanogen, well they DID until I switched to samsung that won't drop source. also...
Asphalt 5 rocks. Ninjump is fun. EA's Tetris needs to be mentioned, and Pool Break Pro looks and feels great and u can play online with ur 3g connection.
Cant wait for nullDC.....soul caliber on my phone!

Racing: jetcar stunts, need for speed shift
First person shooter: modern combat 1 and 2, nova 1 and 2
Flying: skies of glory, x plane 9
These are some impressive 3d games all are paid apps but the first person shooters except mc2 hve to be bought from gameloft. Happy gaming oh and there's a workaround for tegra 2 games too since our gpu rocks

I actually have N.O.V.A. 2 installed and running on my Epic. The only problem I have is that every time u leave the screen idle for about 10 sec, ur screen automatically goes into sleep mode, then u have to re-wake phone and the game reboots back up, which isn't a real problem like FC or something like that but still, very annoying :\ games great overall tho

- Mordern combat 2 (market) is a great game and the multiplayer is awesome (once you get the hang of it)
- Spiderman total mayhem(gameloft)...great graphics and fun game..
- samurai vengeance 2 (android market if you have chainfire 3d) great game with great graphics p.s. there is a version of it online somewhere which works on all phones without chainfire3d...google is your best friend
- Bruce Lee (?? chainfire 3d with qualcomm plugin)...looks good and fun but a bit repetitive
- PES2011 (market)...great game for soccer fans...wish it had multiplayer...lets go barcelona lol...
_ Asphalt 6 (Market) a bit laggy in the menus but gameplay is smooth

Try the keepawake widget by bk thong from android market. 1 touch and your screen won't sleep. 1 touch to deactivate. Plain, simple, effective.

Just got FPSE what games should I try out?

What do you recommend to try out for someone who never played many PSX games growing up (I played Spyro a lot though).

Ones you legally own, like Crash Bandicoot 1, 2 and 3. And Castlevania Symphony of the Night

I would also add: Gran Turismo 2, Final Fantasy 9, Soul Blade, Tomba, Klonoa, Chrono Cross, Metal Gear Solid, Wipeout 3, Vagrant Story, Tomb Raider 2, Colony Wars series, Abe's Odysee etc.

Digimon world 3 - Adventure RPG
Hercs Adventures - Same thing, more combat oriented, based on ancient greece, really fun.
Tomba - 1st one is a 2d scroller, really fun adventure though, lots to do.
Bloody Roar - Fighting
Tekken 2/3 - Fighting (3 has compatibility issues)
Final Fantasy VII - Shouldnt have to explain
Spyro 2/3 - herp
Also if some games arent exactly compatible try using PsXperia. Excellent tool.

on my PLAY (R800x) I couldn't get passed level 4 in Medievil after BUYING the game on the market, so downloading the ISO of the PSX game and loading into FPSE works. The sound pops a little bit (maybe an overclock would fix that) but other than that worked pretty well.

Mayby "Jack and Dexter - 1 and 2" and "Gex - also 1 and 2"

Gex games were released on PSone (and therefore can be emulated), but Jak and Daxter games were PS2 exclusives.

So far Gran Turismo 2, Chrono Cross, and Spyro 3 are very playable. Dead or Alive is kinda laggy for me. I am running stock everything.

It seems this sort of discussion comes up every week. Would be worth having a big old list of popular games, and cult games people still think are excellent.
As for what to play, play whatever you enjoyed from childhood. The nostalgia's the main thing. For me, the games I go back to are:
crash bandicoot 3, crash bash, tony hawks 3, dave mirra freestyle BMX, incredible crisis, harry potter and the philosopher's stone, spiderman 2: enter electro, intelligent qube, heart of darkness, and toy story 2.

For me here is my list:
Grandia (awesome game)
Lunar
FF7
FF9
Colony Wars
Tales of Destiny
loads more that I cannot remember off-hand.

Tomb raider 12345, silent hill, alone in the dark the new nightmare, croc 12,danger girl parasite eve 2 gran tourismo, quake 2, medal of honour, tenchu 12, rogue spear I could go on...

Pokemon Emerald and Golden Sun are good ones.

I recommend these GBA games: Yoshi's Island, Duke Nukem, Zelda - Minish Cap, both Metroids, three Castlevania games, Advance Wars 2, Boktai (you have to patch them though), Donkey Kong Country, Final Fantasy I-VI, Gradius Galaxies, Lost Vikings, Mario Kart, Megaman Zero, Ninja Five-O, Polarium, Sonic Advance series, WarioWare, Drill Dozer, and few Classic NES series.
That's all I remember now.
