I found my favorite games to be Angry Birds,Tank Hero, and xconstruct can be fun if you like that kind of thing, then gets boring after you beat it once. All of these games are free.

Kongregate Arcade is also a lot of fun, don't use it regularly but when there is free time, its decent entertainment.

phone is oc'd to 1Ghz, all games run buttery bottom smooth. running enoms official 2.14.2 w/pershoots kernel.

so does cyanogen, well they DID until I switched to samsung that won't drop source. also...
Asphalt 5 rocks. Ninjump is fun. EA's Tetris needs to be mentioned, and Pool Break Pro looks and feels great and u can play online with ur 3g connection.

My long-time favorite Android games are Wixel and Word Mix; both have free versions. But in terms of games that can take advantage of the Epic's power, well... I haven't gotten any really demanding Android games yet. Air Control works a lot better than it did on my Moment though.
I think emulation is really the way to go. Especially now that you have a keyboard!
Nova, quake 3, asphalt 5 and crusade of destiny all work and look great.
Yes, Crusade of Destiny.. The game I love to hate playing. so much leveling it's crazy.
Best game would have to be caligo chaser. check it out if your into side scrolling RPG's.
I like air control, drop, and paper toss.. just some simple games I can play to pass time and boredom when at work or out n about.

glyder 2 works well with the epic. its free in the marketplace(ad supported) but still one of my favs.
a lot of reviews say its slow and isnt good.. but very smooth on the epic.

NFS Shift is amazing, graphics are sweet. Been playing it a lot now. I found a way to always lead the race and win 1st. My vote for best game.

You should basically look into getting all of Gameloft's games...go to their website and check out their Android offerings....target those.

I just got Plants vs Zombies, Bonecruncher Soccer, and Buzz the The Mobile Quiz from Playstation...haven't tried them yet...
You should basically look into getting all of Gameloft's games...go to their website and check out their Android offerings....target those.

Nah I think its good to show off the emulators but to actualli play them isn't so fun.
I have to wait around a lot in my work so I have these games to help me pass time. I dont play alll the games but I play most if them n I like to have a wide selection thats why I created this post.

If you need to search through these games quickly to see if the game you want to buy is working just use Ctrl F
Also, if you find a game that is working on you GS2 but is in the not working list on this post, please tell us what version of game it says you are using. If you don't know how to find this out, just go to:
Settings - Applications - Manage Application - Select the game.

AIUI the current version of the SGS II doesn't use the tegra chipset so does that mean that the games featured in the Tegra Zone app typically won't work ?

most if not all tegra 2 optomised games dont work on sgs2....but they seem to pickup the sgs2 as a tegra device. maybe its a duel core thing lol

The galaxy s2 is not available on any mobile services yet, only phones4u so there wont be many compatible games available yet until the updates come through. They shouldn't take long though. I would still recommend getting one though. It's the nicest phone I have ever used. I have always had HTC's or an Iphone and this is just in a different league. All my mates are sending back there iphone 4's now because they had a go on this one

It depends were you get them from. If there free you can download them from the internet, but then you might as well get them from the market. At least then they will be regularly upgraded. I would only download the APK's from the internet when there is only a specific version that will work. If you want to install them from My Files you will need to allow the installation from an unknown source. You can find paid game for free if you know were to look but I wouldn't recommend it. I only do that when I'm trying different versions of the game for research purposes. But i remove them straight away.
Shame that it looks like most of the newer Gameloft games have problems...=(
I love playing NOVA 2 on my iPad 2 with gyroscope, hope it will be fixed soon for the SGSII!

I actually have N.O.V.A. 2 installed and running on my Epic. The only problem I have is that every time u leave the screen idle for about 10 sec, ur screen automatically goes into sleep mode, then u have to re-wake phone and the game reboots back up, which isn't a real problem like FC or something like that but still, very annoying :\ games great overall tho

I tried nova 2 and refunded it when I noticed it was a little laggy in combat compared to the original nova

- Mordern combat 2 (market) is a great game and the multiplayer is awesome (once you get the hang of it)
- Spiderman total mayhem(gameloft)...great graphics and fun game..
- samurai vengeance 2 (android market if you have chainfire 3d) great game with great graphics p.s. there is a version of it online somewhere which works on all phones without chainfire3d...google is your best friend
- Bruce Lee (?? chainfire 3d with qualcomm plugin)...looks good and fun but a bit repetitive
- PES2011 (market)...great game for soccer fans...wish it had multiplayer...lets go barcelona lol...
_ Asphalt 6 (Market) a bit laggy in the menus but gameplay is smooth

Try the keepawake widget by bk thong from android market. 1 touch and your screen won't sleep. 1 touch to deactivate. Plain, simple, effective.
Everyone please suggest which are the best games for our galaxy s2. And I also suggest those over clocked to1.5Ghz to comment to let us know whether they can play better performance games than 1.2Ghz users.

Sims Freeplay has amazing graphics and it's free. Also try Modern Combat 3, Sonic 4 episode 1, Anomaly HD, Osmos Hd, Edge Ex, Wind-up Knit is free and an amazing platformer, Blood and Glory. Also you can play if you like with emulators , I have played Diablo 1 for the sake of old times
Landrule ( Risk board game clone ) is rather entertaining.
World of Goo works well.
Still deciding on Zookeeper, the difficulty spike when the bunnies are added is extreme.
RoboDefense kept me busy for ages.
Plants Vs. Zombies is good for quite a while as well.
Really hooket to one game specifically atm
