I can't seem to find a chrome evo case! Any help?! - EVO 4G Accessories

I've been looking for a chrome evo case since I got my evo, I've searched everywhere online, and nothing. I even tried to get one custom made and no luck. Can someone help out a fellow evo owner?

You mean battery cover or actual case
Sent from my iPad 2 and HTC Evo

The actual case. But I wouldn't mind just a battery cover.

Somebody.....

I gotta ask.... chrome? You don't think that would look gaudy as hell? Also keep in mind if you do find one, it will be plastic with chrome paint and that paint WILL flake off and look even crappier than it already does.

Yeah I understand, it's just chrome is my thing you know. I really would like to just use it to go out. I use a trident cyclops for work and I don't like to carry around such a bulky case all the time.

Wow, will you post a pic of your ride?
To answer your question...never heard of such a thing.

I'd personally like a brushed aluminum battery door for the Evo. It'd be cool looking and help with cooling on those hot days where you need to game for hours.

Not meaning that to be a d*ck but that's the best option.
If you find anything pre-made, it's going to be plastic and spray paint...so just make one yourself.

Thanks for helping out. Don't think I haven't thought of that as well. As a matter of fact I'm a painter and I know what looks right, only true chrome will do, if i could find a metal case I would have it chromed. But in the mean time I may invest in selling them since I can't find one, and make some dough.lol

Seidio ACTIVE - Sapphire Blue

Just ordered this case today - http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/csk3mtatr-bl.htm
I will post back when i receive it and mess with it some, and possible post up some pics too. I know some of you have been wondering about these cases for the Atrix, and i've been wanting one anyway. So i just went ahead and ordered it, I'll give a review of it once i receive it for you guys/gals.
Wow that does look nice. Post some picture when you get it. I ordered the Motorola one but if I end up not liking it this may be another option. Its a bit expensive but I may consider it if I do not like the Motorola one.
OP do you have any docks??? Im very curious to see if this case will function in the cardock... looks sweet though. i like it better than just about everything ive seen this far.

No, i dont use any docks - at least not yet... maybe sometime in the future.. Just dont have a need for any at this point.
Wow, I just ordered the very same one yesterday! I had one of these for my Nexus S and I really liked it. It looks and feels really good on the phone and I think it is just as protective as the Otterbox Commuter case.
let me know if the silicone is very floppy i had the otterbox commuter but i hate the lose silicone i like my cases to fit and stay. i loved the switcheasy cases for iphone but the dbags only do apple products. if its not all loose and floppy ill get it otherwise im sticking with the defender
Hey.... product manufacturers tend to go where the money is.... and when everyone and their poodle has an Apple product... you can bet what their focus is going to be. Hell, i'd LOVE to see something like the Apex Armor or Vapor4 bumpers that they have for the iPhone 4 made for the Atrix.... but it won't happen. Same way seeing a battery door replacement to use with a PowerMat probably won't happen, although i'm still kinda hoping.
I got the Surface in Sapphire Blue, and if that's any indication to how good their cases are, the ACTIVE is much better. Although it adds twice the thickness to the phone as the Surface.

Otterbox... Who needs them... Check out trident!!!

http://www.tridentcase.com/product_77_131.html
I know this link is for the internation galaxy s2 but they will have one for our phones within 1 month.
They look bad ass!!!
Can't wait.
I even posted a comment on otterbox showing them the link to this site... HA
About time, Trident makes much better cases than Otterbox.
makes phone look like a brick.
I cant wait to see the case for this phone to come out. By the way anyone have a forum or site to find updates on when the release may come out?? i really dont wanna spend $30 on a case-mate tough and then a week later have that come out.

there is a chance it may not be that thick. the phone it self is very thin. from what i hear, it is supposed to be an aegis case and could easily be more of a slim/form factor design like this one

A slim one like this for the e4gt would be sick!
still waiting for Ballistic to release an HC case for this phone..
lots of people really want a large, protective case for this thing, and there is nothing out there yet..Case mate tough case is nothing compared to a Ballistic, when it comes to total protection...
What...do you think you own an Iphone4? A guy at work as an Iphone4 in some god awful case that makes it look like an 80's cell phone. I guess at the gym he can skip the bicep and tricep work out, his phone and case will take care of that.
I'm happy with a TPU case and screen protector. That has worked well for my Incredible and EVO. But hey. if you are out in the field and climbing on and in equipment, I can see that a tough case would be nice.
Well, I get the dropsies now and then, plus, the phone will fall out of my sweat pants/short pocket on occasion, so I like to get the ballistic case, and use it without the rubber outside protection; sort of like a slimmed down Otterbox when you use it that way..
if I am going traveling, or out for long periods of time, then I will use the rubber outer layer...
looks tight!!
i will get the red one ASAP when it comes out
I like to switch up my cases depending on the occasion. I'll usually rock a tpu but if I'm working in the field or out at the bar I'd rather switch over to something a bit beefier

BodyGlove case

Figured I would toss up a thread about it. I got it from the t-mobile store because I wanted something for it day-1 before I could order something else online. It was overpriced and I though I was going to chuck it but I gotta say I kinda like it. It doesn't add a lot of bulk and it has a NICE textured back that is really slip resistant. I don't have my camera out so no photos right now but I will get some up later.
I agree it's a nice one. I did the same thing. I wanted a case now, and until case-mate releases their pop case with a stand, I got this one as a temp, but it really fits well, and looks good, so I may just leave it on.

Looking for a "clear" case to protect my S3

I know this has probably been asked about a thousand times (if not more) and you're all probably sick of answering it, but searching for the word "clear" and "case" in the forum shows up a ton of stuff, so I figure it might be easier for me to just ask outright.
I'm basically looking for a clear, or as close to clear case as I can get, to protect my S3 but without adding too much bulk and weight. I have the blue S3 and I don't see the point in putting a black case around it, so does anyone know of any? I was looking on Amazon and they have a load of clear TPU cases (that are all pretty cheap) but I worry about getting third party or unofficial cases incase they cover the ports or something silly
So yeah, hit me with your recommendations guys and gals! And thanks

I have order two different clear cases and will be doing reviews of them as soon as they come in, which should be next Monday at the latest. Both of the ones I ordered were advertised and pictured as completely clear. You are right - there are a ton of them out there and, while seemingly the same, I don't think they are. I'll have pictures/impressions if you don't mind being patient. However, I'm sure you'll get plenty of results in this thread.
Good Luck!
Awesome! I look forward to your reviews. Would you mind posting the links in here when you put them up, just so that I definitely look at them and find them easily?
Thanks a lot

Will do. Should have at least a quick hands-on done the day I get them.

I have a clear TPU case from Handhelditems.com and I really can't rave enough about it. Super thin, fits great, and is totally transparent. For the price you can't beat it.

Does it have cutouts for volume and power buttons? That's a must for me.

I just got this case last night and haven't had enough time with it to write/record a proper review, so I thought I'd direct you to my pictures of it in another thread on this forum.

My first impressions: very light and virtually zero bulk. The case must be less than 1mm thick, so you can hardly notice that is even there. It clearly (no pun intended) will protect the back of the phone quite well; however, one can notice that the top and the bottom of the phone aren't well protected. This is unfortunately the drawback to non-bulky hard cases, and other shell cases have the same issue (such as my elago G5 Breathe Case that I posted in that same forum thread). I will be getting other clear cases in the coming days and should be able to post pictures and impressions of them in this forum.
I have clear Belkin case. I want to sell. Bought for 30 from best buy. Asking 20

That's the one i'm using right now. It's a "Frosted" clear case... in that it's not entirely transparent, but you can still see some blue through it. Can actually still see the AT&T and Galaxy S3 logo's plain as day for some odd reason through it. If you'd like, i could snap a few quick pics.
Beware: Those clear (transparent) cases, tend to turn yellow over time.
I have the one from Monoprice as well. I really like it, and for the price, you can't beat it if you want a clear case and minimum bulk.

Any good Desk Stands?

Not really looking for a dock here (as I dont want to keep plugging and unplugging my phone, to preserve battery health), just a nice stand my phone can sit on.
Anyone have recommendations? I found a few nice aluminum stands on amazon/ebay but they dont look ideal.. Some use the adhesive back, which I dont think would work with the curved back of our HTC One.
I'd prefer a stand that is weighty enough to stay in place on my desk, without me having to use some sort of adhesive on the base lol.
Thanks!

Hey man, I'm a huge fan of the PodProp Universal Stand, fits the HTC One nicely in both portrait and landscape mode and its cheap! Considering getting a second one for my night stand (current one is up at work). Let me know if you have questions
Ooh, these things right? http://www.etsy.com/listing/109791213/color-stone-soft-universal-fit-view?ref=usr_faveitems
Found these the other night, looks pretty good, useful, and best of all cheap lol.
Could you possibly post pictures of your One on that stand?
Also, it says its made of soft foam? That got me questioning the durability of it. How is it holding up for you. And do you know if the stone color get dirty quick?
Hey yeah that's the same one but if you buy from their website I think it includes free shipping. Below you will find a link to my review with pics of my HTC One on it. Durability is top notch, super easy to clean and no wear or tear that I have noticed. I literally use it ever weekday while at work.

Nice review, thanks for the info.
And hm you're right, seems like they sell through Amazon as well, and their items are fulfilled by Amazon so its Prime eligible, woohoos.
Sadly they dont have the stone color in stock on Amazon.. :\
They only have a 2-pack of the Blue. 2-pack for $13 is perfect, just wish they had Stone color, damnit.
I'm using the Elago iphone stand.
Sturdy and works just great
http://www.amazon.com/cell-phones-accessories/dp/B002OLM56K
I was actually considering a knockoff of that case haha: http://www.amazon.com/Aluminum-Desktop-iPhone-Generation-Cellphone/dp/B0087Y1XS4/ref=pd_sim_cps_15
I was worried about the case scratching the phone though. Looks like theres a pad at the bottom to protect the phone, but what about the back of the phone?
Once my phone is in the stand I don't move it but if iphones don't get scratched I can't see the One scratching either.
The thing is, iPhones have glass backs, which are harder than aluminum.
But in our case, it would be aluminum on aluminum :|
Hmm.
