AGF Ballistic will have a case out - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

If the galaxy nexus GSM is the same specs in size and form as the CDMA I515 verizon
then Ballistic will have a case like the SG2 had
The SG Case incorporates three layers of protection for your mobile device. The case also contains extra thickness in the corners where drops are the most damaging.

How do you know that ? is it said somewhere in charts ?

Well its been said over and over the lte version will be slightly thicker. I think his conclusion that the gsm version will be slightly thinner is valid. And that has been the case mostly for lte and gsm variants of the same phone.

OK found the answer @ WIKI

GSM Galaxy Nexus will be sold in Canada, so that might be a cheaper place to order accessories to fit GSM models than from UK and the rest of Europe...

But I want a AGF Ballistic case like they had for the SG2 IMO it's the Best
Soon someone will put up a youtube of the 2 and compare where everything sits

Getting giddy of the thought of an LTE-powered Galaxy Nexus? Well, Google, has just unveiled a full 360-degree view of the Verizon-bound smartphone, and it's packing a bigger caboose. Around 0.6mm thicker than the HSPA+ version available now in the UK, the 4G-stuffed version loses, at least visually, some of its curved charm and the chin's become more prominent too. Fortunately, as the tech specs confirm, the slightly bigger body does cram in an extra 100mAh of battery juice, presumably to feed that LTE radio. Will it feel any different in the hand? It looks like we'll have to wait until Verizon decides to furnish us with one -- whenever that is.

Galaxy Nexus Carriers & prices?

I've seen all manner of speculation on the subject of which carriers, specifically, are going to be carrying the Galaxy Nexus, but the majority of it is conflicting reports.
Does anyone have good links or intel on where the Nexus will be available, carrier-wise?
http://www.unlocked-mobiles.com/sim...s-sim-free-unlocked-mobile-phone-p-83950.html
512.98£ but managed to get it preordered for 480£ next day delivery.
Hope they will not increase the price on me
The US dollar has dropped so much in value that everything in the EU will look very expensive. We also have higher VAT than you do (25% in Sweden).
$1 ~= 6.65 SEK according to Google. When all things are added we usually pay something like your dollar price with a conversion rate of 10, instead if 6.65.
In summary, the prices listed above is somewhere around what we paid for the previous Nexus-phones. Your prices are likely to not take the low currency value into account, like most other electronics.
OK I am going to just throw my two cents in.
This phone should technically work on all four US carries. (Verizon, Sprint, Att, and TMobile).
As for the LTE coverage I am not sure about Att's LTE spectrum matching with Verizon.
But the planned Sprint LTE spectrum and Verizon's does not match.
That just means that the first version of the SGN would not support LTE on Sprint.
The GSM version of the phone should work on both the ATT and TMobile networks.
I hope that the SGN comes to all four major carries as Apple is already on four US carries. (Att, Verizon, Sprint, and C Spire "Soon").
I have Sprint and would get this phone as soon as it was available.
I would not switch networks just for a phone.
Agreed, the move to Yamaha was probably the only regression in an otherwise great phone.
According to supercurio from today's Engadget article its a Texas Instruments TWL6040. How this compares to the Wolfson DAC I do not know.
I really hope its good because I am very satisfied with the sound quality out of my Nexus S with voodoo sound and good IEMs. I use my phone more as a GPS and PMP than as a phone.
Anyone have experience with Expansys? I placed a pre order with them just to have it in. I'm not even sure if that's for a LTE or GSM one, but I hope it's GSM haha.

It will not cost that much in the US though. Expect somewhere around $529-$550 most likely. I explained this above.

I think Google will show T-Mobile some love. Look at the history they have together: The first US Android phone was released on their network and both Nexus branded phones were also released with T-Mobile exclusivity before branching out to other networks. I doubt it'll enjoy the same nod that Google showed them in the past with temporary exclusivity, but I highly doubt they'll be left in the dark for more than a few weeks to a month at most.

Same as other regions or any changes?
What if i get it shipped from UK? (Clove or Expansys)
Does Nexus have MHL support?
Is it Plastic Body or Metal?
Whats the difference? (TI OMAP 4460 chipset / Exynos chipset)

Waiting eagerly for an Indian launch date.
imo u will wait 4 atleast 3-4 months. i m an indian n currently in us, returning on nov 20th, so i will buy 4m the us, unlocked.
Hardware Change?
Will there be a change in hardware for indian version of Galaxy Nexus?
I don't think so that there will be any change in hardware of Galaxy Nexus for Indian version. Indians may get the device in some were early next year.
Didn't Samsung release SGSII quite early for Indians or is that just an illusion? And generally Indian phones are same as world wide GSM ones.
Hardware Change: LTE Radio
Those phones which are going to be released in the stateside will carry LTE 4G radio, whereas it is not required in our country, we do not have even consistent 3G signal even in our cities.
So i am expecting a 16GB version of SGN with no LTE radio in it.
India - Launch

Hope we will get a date soon..
I think it is Google's fault that the launch is getting delayed. The device is obviously ready but since it is a nexus they want to launch it first in US. Samsung is ready to launch it I think, like how they launched the S2 many months before the US launch. But I think the price will be a big shock. Nexus S is overpriced to date, by at least 5000 over similar spec phones. I think this one will be priced 10000 more than a Galaxy S2.

What..??? 10000 More?? I dont think they can sell it with that price range. Current market price of SGS II in india is 28K - 30K (though Sulekha is selling at 25K). You Add 10000 to it, boom.. 38 -40 K.
Samsung / Google should limit the price to a max of 32-33 K, other wise they will loose the potential buyers. If that is the case, i will wait for another 3-4 months, for some other ICS model from either HTC/LG / Sammy.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus GT-i9250 Titanium Silver 16GB 3G/GSM $759.99 from Newegg

16GB version for sale from Newegg for $759.99
I tried posting on Slickdeals.net to let more people know there's a reputable option now to purchase a Galaxy Nexus but my thread's in the process of getting flamed for the price. I guess there are too many people out there that don't understand what a handset actually costs at retail.
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz
UMTS 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 MHz
LTE 700
This phone pretty much covers all bases except for CDMA in the United States!
Well it isn't a slickdeal. Lol. Maybe if Amazon had them for .01
Full retail price will get flamed.
G2x - 2.3.7 CM7
Transformer - 3.2 Revolver OC/UV
Having good customer value and being a slick deal are way different things.
Us SDers are just looking for crazy deals! Heck, many times I haven't realized how much I may value something until I see a deal that is just too good to pass up. Then I create the value within after the impulse purchase.
Get this phone down to below standard carrier subsidization costs and it will make SD.
Just ordered one from Newegg. Immediately after, it listed "out-of-stock", so hopefully I have (the last) one!

Lol, yeah a type-o. Hope you aren't expecting an LTE Galaxy Nexus (unless it's Verizon, which this clearly isn't).
It's identical to any other GSM Galaxy Nexus. Do you honestly think Newegg has some secret access to a non-released GSM LTE device?

Nope, just wanted the GSM one. Checked the specs (size, weight, battery) to make sure I *wasn't* pre-ordering a Verizon one. Also, the fact that it was in-stock and selling yesterday.
Id prefer expansys or negri. They will handle warranty issues for you. I don't think new egg would do that. Akso they charge tax for me. Deal killer!

Yep, no tax in my state. Newegg shipping is always super fast for me, too. Guess I'm willing to take a risk of warranty to shop with somewhere I'm familiar with.
Newegg appears to offer their own insurance for $60 for 1 year for the Galaxy Nexus, which also covers accidents. Not sure if there's a deductible though.

Really? I didn't think so. I was under the impression that the GSM and CDMA batteries we're NOT interchangeable. I found the official GSM extended battery from Samsung for sale on Nigrielectronics from other posts but it's sold out.
It's not available on Amazon and I can't find anything but shady looking vendors when I google.
Anyone have any ideas? I (think) know it needs to be the i9250 variety to work on the GSM (play store) version.
The Mugen battery is also listed as sold out.
I got mine on ebay. Took a couple weeks to arrive, tho.

Don't buy from expansys-usa, I tried to purcahse a battery from them (the extended OEM one) and they didn't restock for 2 weeks. I called them to ask when my battery was due and they said "we haven't delievered it", asked for a refund and they gave it me (although a bit rude). Go with shimshop on eBay, I personally brought one from the same shop and it was awesome. They give you a tracking number for international (you can track it here when it's overseas). Then you plug in the number into USPS and it tells you where it is stateside. Took about 2 weeks to arrive and the package was clean, sealed and no dents/scratches (the guy who sells them is very friendly and responds to questions very fast).

Wallet case for t989- modded from s2 LTE wallet case

I know there have been a bunch of people out there looking for wallet cases for the T-Mobile version of the s2. I was one of those people too, but after searching I have found a great wallet case for a good price. The only problem is that it is made for the Galaxy s2 LTE E110(which is slightly different from ours). However, with an exacto knife I was able to make it work out.
There are also a lot of good cases for the skyrocket that can be easily modified to get our phones. Both the skyrocket and the LTE are nearly the same size as ours.
The only modifications I had to make was the positioning for the USB connector and the earphones. The phone fit great into the rubber case otherwise.
How did I find this you ask? Search on eBay for "s2 lte wallet" or "skyrocket wallet" recently I have even seen some actual wallet cases for the t989. Most of them ship from Korea.
This specific one is from a Korean company called solozen. The name of the case is "Hit diary protection" galaxy s2 lte version.
Let me know if you have troubles finding the cases. There are a lot of different brands and styles on eBay and other auction sites.
I hope this helps at least a few people!
Note-I HAVE tried this and it does fit. No problems at all. Please try not to post saying that this wouldn't work because the phones are different. I am well aware with a little modding it can work though.
Another idea was to buy a cheap plastic case for the t989, detach the one that fits the LTE from the wallet part, then glue the t989 cover to it. I didn't end up doing that, but it might be something to try!

wow thanks for posting this, I looked everywhere for a wallet case for S2 t-mobile version... You said that now they make wallet cases for S2 T-mobile? Where did you find this? I looked on ebay and couldn't find any from Korea.
I'm curious about this case too but am also having troubles finding it on eBay. I searched for "s2 lte wallet" first but didn't see any that were a "hit diary protection". Next I searched for "solozen" and there were five with results with "hit diary protection" in the description but they were only for Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, iPhone 5 and Optimus G. I searched for "skyrocket wallet" and there was a result for Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727, but it wasn't sold through "solozen" but rather "totomagirl" (item location was still in South Korea though).
The item sells for $19USD and the photos look similar to what carrman17 posted so it's probably a match.

Also, the seller for mine was totomagirl. Most sellers don't put the brand in the description for some reason.
Nice find. I was always under the impression that the skyrocket was a hell of a lot bigger device so cases would never work.
