Dropped Calls / Out of Service Area - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Appears to be a common problem on the device around the world.
Have 4.0.2 as stock.
If I talk to someone i sometimes hear noises similar to a fax line but just more garbled and scratchy followed by a clicking sound and the call is dropped.
Signal bars show no signal. If i try to call when this happens i get out of service area message. If i try to connect to data, i get airplane mode message. After a few seconds the bars return to full strength and i can call again.
I have not experienced the phone muting at all which most people are experiencing.
It happens less if i use 3G instead of 2G and as soon as the call is initiated i press the power button to dim the display.

[Q] Wifi Calling Warning tone?

Does anyone know how to disable/change the Wifi coverage warning beep that occurs in-call? It sounds exactly like a call waiting beep so its very distracting in call.
On a side note, has anyone found out how to increase the in-call volume? Its a little weak or Im a little deaf.
Ive never heard this beep youre talking about... and the answer to the second question is just use the volume rocker while youre in a call
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 running Cyanogenmod.
when in a Wi-Fi call, move nearly out of range (1-2 Wi-Fi bars) and you'll get a message popup that warns you about leaving Wi-Fi coverage. -You may have to be in a low signal area for it to activate. Its very annoying -I've actually gotten in the habit of ignoring call waiting beeps since they make the same sound and then I see a missed call after I hang up.
as for the volume issue, I should have been clearer. even at maximum in-call volume, I still have trouble hearing the call.

[Q] Cannot receive incoming calls after few hours

Couldn't find my exact situation. Called ATT and they have never heard of it before.
ATT gs3 running CM10, has happened on nightlies as well as the stable
factory reset, reflash, same issues
1. Have phone charging or leave phone alone for 3-4 hours
2. Will not receive incoming calls. No call screen, not just silent.
3. No missed call notification
4. No voicemail notification if voicemail is left
5. my signal strength shows the radio is on and has high signal strength.

[Q] Galaxy Nexus Signal Bars Go Grey, Can't Make Calls and Dialler Doesn't Exit

I'm running stock Android 4.2.2 JDQ39, baseband I9250XXXLJ1 on the GSM version of the phone.
I suspect this happens after the phone exits sleep mode. The signal bars go grey, and I can't make or receive any calls.
People calling me say that they can hear the ring, but my phone doesn't receive the call.
When I try to make outgoing calls, there is no response and when I try to hang up, the dialler doesn't exit.

Voice Calls sometimes get garbled and distorted?

Even when I have full signal and LTE I'll sometimes hear the other people on the line sound so garbled fading in and out that I miss a couple words here and there. Anyone else ever experience this intermittently? I've had it happen four times the past two days
yes im having that problem too every time i receive a call, they say i sound like robot, but when i call back is not, i disable wifi calling but not solve that

Question Random call distortion on s22?

During a typical day of 20x calls I get maybe two calls where the call quality coming through earpiece and/or loudspeaker sound extremely distorted, grainy and choppy but other party understands me just fine. Issue sometimes reverses, I hear party just fine while I sound extremely grainy and broken up on their end. I have latest update on my s22. My model is a US VERSION SM-S901U, is this happening to anyone else but me? Is it defective?
Clear the system cache and try a network reset.
Have your carrier do a reset on their side as well.
I've the same problem, loadspeakers distortion comes up when the phone cools below normal temperatura, and it disappears when returns to normal, so try to check it up
UPDATE: contacted tmobile to see if they could fix my distortion problem. So tmobile tech had me do the follow after a few diagnostic test:
1) turn data roaming off (only good internationally)
2) turn wifi calling off (only needed when no signal)
3) tmobile tech maximized my devices broadband from his end
Conclusion: before doing the 3 things, tmobile tech tested my devices signal and stated I was having a weak 60% avg signal to thier towers. After these changes I averaged 90% plus. I have not had one call issue since.
My opinion is the s22 creates a signal issue when data roaming is on, wifi calling is on and device broadband is not maxed out.
Thank you Chris (Tmobile tech) for fixing my problem!
Hope this helps others with same issue.
