We'll see. It'll 99% be likely to have the 720p screen.

I hope this phone comes soon not like last galaxy disaster

"Samsung Galaxy Epic Touch S3 HD LTE" is my vote for what the genius Sprint marketing team will dub it.
Why can't they just called it the Galaxy S3, like everyone else?

Supposed to hear official announcement from sprint June 20th.

The unique name gives us our own section, so I prefer it that way.
Besides, it'll probably be the Epic 4G LTE.

Haha! Sprint does have long names, at least they don't "DROID" everything up like the big red checkmark.
I can see for miles and miles.

Sprint pre-order page coming online soon.

Sprint sgs3 passes FCC. Looks like its release will be welcomed with access to lte markets. (Meaning the first round markets will be turned on)

Looks like sprint maybe first out the gate. I'd like to thank ab30494 from Android Central forums for providing the link.

Sprint was the first U.S. carrier to supply the sgs2. I'm sure they'll do the same here. The Epic Touch is their top sold phone at the moment.

Verizon's FCC docs just went threw too. It's likely to see a Juneish/July release on both carriers.

I hope the release day is the same on all carriers

dang, why couldn't our version be a gsm and coma, the photon had a gsm radio so did the 4s. if i could go back the hero and the eve weren't gsm, probably because sprint didn't want us to old on to them for long time. On the side note we don't even have mini, ICS will test epic 4g touch owners patience.
What did you say?

What, are you kidding me? You know, I had att before I switched to sprint. I wanted the sgs2 so badly that I canceled carriers because I didnt want yo wait a week. Looks like this is another reason why I shot myself in the foot.
Oh well, any ideas on if this might get ported to our phones?

Ill correct this:
Hot damn! Why couldn't our version be more like the gsm? The photon has a gsm radio, so does the 4s. I wish I could go back the Hero or the Evo, but sprint doesn't want us to hold on to phones for a long peroid of time. On a side note, we still don't even have MIUI. ICS will test the epic 4g touch owners patience.

Galaxy Nexus April 15th?

Looks like it might be sooner then a few people thought. Yes we are happy with our S2's but still nice to know.

Yep can't wait
Hopefully this means we we'll see Samsung post the ics source around end of march/ beginning of April.

Intriguing but too bad a lot of people will be disappointed by the 3g speeds from sprint (especially if they have actually "good" "4g" wimax coverage)
Keeping my friend waiting between this or just buying the int'l version and getting the tmobile prepaid 4g plans...
What are the 200 LTE sites they are referring to in the article? I mean, are certain cities or states definitely going to have LTE when the phone launches and if so, which?

s4gru.com man
Google's release of the Galaxy Nexus was a complete FAIL.
Is the CDMA version still not on the "support list" anymore? Or was that resolved?
Complete FAIL.

New Devices: Galaxy Nexus, HTC Evo 4G LTE & Galaxy Note - Will YOU Switch?

With all the new Android devices coming to Sprint, will you be making the switch to one of them?
Samsung Galaxy Nexus - April 15?
HTC EVO 4G LTE - May-June?
Samsung Galaxy Note - 2nd Quarter?
Leave some feedback, I'm interested in if anyone would give up this awesome device we already have for one of the new ones!
I don't think so, I don't want a bigger screen size

Honestly, I may wait for the Note! I played with the AT&T version and was amazed!
I really want the galaxy note, but I want to see it first.
Is the note confirmed? Don't play with my emotions man!

Not confirmed but rumored and a visual on the Sprint website!
Look HERE
Going to see if I can get the Evo. I had the OG Evo before and I loved it.
None..not up for upgrade, there is not LTE here in Houston and I am pleased with this phone.
Thinking about the note, or evo
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-6
Definetely not the Nexus. Our phones have much better specs than the Nexus. That camera is horrible in quality.
I'd get the Note if it doesn't take too long to come out. Otherwise, I'd just wait for the SG3 in September.
im not gonna upgrade but if i were too then htc evo 4g lte no doubt. note is almost a year old and so is the nexus. evo brings in new tech
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium the note is the su snapdragon then no. Higher resolution with a not so powerful gpu =less performance on games and I play alot
Nope. I will consider the GSIII. If Sprint's variant tickles my nads then I'll sell my GSII and buy it. Otherwise, I'll be waiting for 2013's lineup.
until I get lte on my Area.... im fine with my wimax and won't go back to 3g that goes from 5kbps to 2 mbps.. .
I played with the Note at At$t and it was extremely laggy. Anyone else notice? I'll wait for the SG3...
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
ill prob wait for the S3 not a big fan a of having a monster phone in my back pocket and as for nexus and evo i dont have lte in my are so its pointless. still loving my s2.
Most likely waiting for the SG3 as well, but will honestly just have to wait and see. If the SG3 really isn't being released until September then it's likely I'll pick up another phone in the interim just for the newness. But I love my E4GT so it's going to take a LOT to sway me.
First off i want to thank god that i am a sprint employee i will prolly go with the note and then the GSIII
When Sprint kicks me off their network for the constant 3g Data roaming (ever since I moved 6 months ago) I'll be getting either Galaxy Note or Galaxy Nexus on AT&T.
(AT&T makes more sense in my situation because all my family and my wife's family are on AT&T as well).

Samsung Galaxy S III to hit...

I didn't hear anything about a sprint variant in this article that clearly names the carriers to get the S3, At&t and TMobile were listed though.

Can jay also close this one down...haha I kid...or not
Maybe I will just make an official SG3 for everyone that wants to talk about it. I think that would be best.

Sprint lte roadmap

I'm not sure if anyone has found this site yet, but it's one of my bookmarks. I don't much like looking at it because Pittsburgh is nowhere to be found yet. Hopefully the rest of you are listed somewhere.

I might drop Sprint based on this information. I've been using a 4G phone since the first EVO. I never saw WiMax and now I won't see LTE until TBD. Which is at least 4th quarter 2013.

I've been hearing a lot of cities that were slated for 4Q being pushed up to 2Q so I'm just waiting patiently.
I wish I knew if Louisville, KY was in West Kentucky or East Kentucky
***Edit***
Found a map that says Western KY. Sweet!
Keep in mind that now that Sprint if owned by Softbank, they have more money to play with so I would expect things to be accelerated. This is just a guess tho.

Sprint just recently announced that the markets that they have been working on have been going ahead of schedule. Also that they have deligated more money and work units to the LTE deployment, along with another company is being dispatched to help move things along. Ever since the SoftBank merger
To the OP yes it is a great site in regards to the sprint coverage they usually have updates posted sometimes days before the other sites have something up about new cities being announced etc.
And after speaking with a Sprint employee who goes to the shows/releases for the products the time that he said our city is scheduled to start is exactly on par with the s4gru website.:good:

Any news? I see you are a tech. Specifically Oklahoma.
My experience with this site is that the information reported is about as accurate as what Sprint reports.... Let's just say I was less than impressed!

Being a member of that site, I can tell you Pittsburgh is soon. I actually (from my source inside sprint) know that they are approximating May at this point. I spoke with a couple different people who all independently verified this. Also, if you donate to them, there is a LOT more information that you can glean from it, beyond what you linked. PM me if you have further questions.

Nebraska.
Between Lincoln and Omaha we probably have a total of 2 WiMax towers...allegedly there was WiMax to be had in both, but I never saw it on my EVO4G. And by the time I tradeup my Note2 for Note3 or what have you, I probably still will not have ever seen 4G in state.

Coming along nice
-TeaM VeNuM Like A Boss
-Galaxy Note II Edition
For those that have no lte and are not on any list I'd start saving money now. Give Sprint 3-4 months, if still no lte or announcements then I say switch. First check with tmobile in your area. If it's in your area I recommend them. Even at their slowest their hsdpa+ hits at 2-4mbps.
I myself am giving Sprint till June. If by then the lte I'm seeing now doesn't improve I'm moving to tmo. In my town tmo gets around 6mbps and if they ever upgrade to lte here then I'm golden. It's all a matter of waiting now
