Although the battery out and I leave again, but still does not work
Sometimes it works on their own
The SIM card and memory card out and I still got a clear touch does not work

i have HTC touch diamond for around a year now, and all of a sudden its touch screen is behaving abnormal, when i touch "phone" it opens "programs" for me
my fone is HTC touch diamond orange one i want hardspl it but via active sync i have to press "yes" in my fone which is not possible since touchscreen doesn't response, i tried from the tri colored screen but it remains stuck at 0%
is there any way i can hardspl from storage card and how?
is my problem a hardware one?

I'm actually having this problem too, not really sure why. If I touch to the right of the icon it works, but sometimes even that fails me. I've been using the d-pad for most things, figure I'll try going back to stock HTC ROM and see if that works.
Probably won't be a while though, since I'm reformatting my pc, and since it's just a backup phone now

by the way when i try to hardSPL from the tri color screen (it shows USB which means fone is connected) it remains at 0% for like 5-6 min and than gives error number 262
I have an unbranded, rooted Desire running 2.2. My screen randomly freezes and cannot be used from several minutes, up to an hour or so. There is no set pattern to when this happens. I am currently using the phone without the memory card to see if that is the problem, but the screen has already frozen briefly.
All the buttons work properly and any function controlled via buttons works when the screen is non-responsive, so it is not the phone that has fozen just the screen.
I have now hard reset the phone twice and tried 2 different sd cards, both of which have been wiped and reformatted. Still having the same problem. After resetting and clearing the cards the phone works perfectly for 24 hrs, but eventually the screen stops responding again.
Has anyone else had this or a similar problem? I am loathed to take the phone back to Carphone Warehouse to be repaired as I feel they will do a factory reset, see that it works fine for a few hrs and then send it back to me.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.

I have problem with my HTC Desire HD, which is not rooted & i have 2.3.5 official verison. Yesterday i was downloading updates from Play & I didn't noticed my battery got drained & phone got switched off. After that I tried to switch on the phone & it wont start up! it got stuck with black screen with dim light! hard reset is also not working. i tried to get the battery, sim & memory card out & then tried, it switched on & working perfectly! but then when i tried to get back on the sim! it went black again! with memory card it starts sometimes & sometimes not! I had this problem before but at that time it wasn't starting up completely & I gave back to the service centre but they kept it for 2 months, so i am scared to give them back! is there any solution to this problem???

Troubleshoot. Try with a different sim and a different memory card. First one, then the other and so on until you try both of those at the same time.

My touch screen is working intermittently and the phone seems to be running slower then normal. I'm running cyomogenmod 11 for 6 weeks now been working fine and haven't updated. This past week the screen wouldn't respond. Tried reflashing, and resetting but still the same issue I have disable the screen lock and I can use fro longer before the screen is none respocive and have to wait about 20 secs for it to work again. All the home home and back button no longer illuminate when it stops working. It also seems to happen for frequently on charge. Thanks if any one can help.

I have been using sprint g2 for a little over a month with no trouble until one day when it started acting up. So whenever my screen wakes up, be it after the knock code or after receiving a call, it shows a phantom touch right in the middle of the screen. My screen wouldnt recognise any touch till that phantom touch is gone. In order to get that gone, ive to generate interference by multitapping randomly for sometime which seems to solve the problem. Interestingly my screen works just fine after the phantom touch is gone even for prologed usage..but once the screen turns off (by doubble tapping for instance) n i wake it up later, the problem reappears..ive tried factory reset n custom roms to no avail. Oh n one more thing, when i restart my phone n the first time it shows the unlock screen, there's no phantom touch but as soon as the next tap on pr a call ends,the prob reappears.
Guys ive been reading all threads n couldnt find a Similar issue solved...ur help would save me from hating this otherwise awesome phone...thanks indeed.
