Fosmon PC + TPU bumper case - Galaxy S III Accessories

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0089E4050/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1341692955&sr=8-1
$5.95 shipped with prime (shipping costs may vary) + tax where applicable.
I had been looking for a bumper case for my new S3, and luckily stumbled upon the above case. I had a similar case for my Incredible from Griffin and loved the added protection.
This one from Fosmon is no different. The back is polycarbonate but transparent with a bit of a frosted appearance. The branding on the back is still easy to see. The edge around the sides is tpu with molding for the buttons plus a texture right where my right hand would hold it.
The cut outs for the headphones and usb are large enough where it shouldn't block anything being plugged in. There are holes for the mic and/or other sensors.
I do find the power button is more difficult to activate, but it's not because of the tpu being too tough - its not - its more about the feeling of where it should be as I am coming from a Galaxy Nexus.
Shipping from SF Planet was fast. With a holiday in between, I ordered on the 3rd and received it on the 7th.
I'm glad I found this on the first try. It's exactly what I wanted in a case for a great price.

I have the same case and have no complaints about it! All buttons are very easy to press

I just received this today. Great for the money, but I wish the back was completely clear rather than frosted.
The fit and feel is really good and the bumper feels like it will do the job. Nice ridge to protect the screen if the phone is face down, but not much extra bulk.

I'm sure they frosted it to minimize seeing all scratches a glossy clear back would end up getting and showing.

Great case.
I didn't want a case. But I got one anyway and I'm glad I got this one. It's not super bulky, and yet it feels like it should provide pretty good drop protection on all sides. Here's a few pics.
Sorry I couldn't help but toss in a picture of my awesome blue/carbon battery cover. Love that thing!

Could you post a picture straight on of the back? The angled one makes it look like it's not very see-through. I'm curious if the branding and texture of the original battery cover shows through.

It's certainly frosted and not crystal clear. Sorry my stock rear cover is at home but that one is clear enough to read the TMobile and GS3 branding on the back.

Wow the camera cutout on yours is pretty big! Mine is just right around the edge of the camera

Just bought one of these after checking some reviews on youtube. $5.95 shipped? DEAL.

It doesn't look like it, but are the volume and power buttons exposed or covered? If covered, how easy are they to push?

Covered and they respond very nicely

Received this case today, and WOW!!! It's exactly what this phone screams for.
Blocks the screen with a minor lip for glass down resting. Side grip on both sides, and the covered buttons work great.
The clear back protects the camera and battery door, while allowing for customization of the battery door.
Doesn't add much size, and the weight is barely noticeable.
If your on the fence about a case, the low price makes this a gotta try!

I got mine yesterday and noticed the same thing. I just put a little piece of paper in the groove on the inside of the power button cover. I don't get a nice clicky feel/response, but I don't have to press in very hard to get it to work.

Trident Aegis Case - Pics and Brief Comments

Received my Trident Aegis case today. Went with the bright green (which I so far prefer to the darker green which they previously used, I had a Cyclops case in this color on my HTC Glacier.)
One gripe is, so far, the open space surrounding the camera on the back of the case. This is an odd decision. Not a big deal to me, though; but still worth mentioning.
The biggest gripe, though, is that the phone is not at all easy to actually get into the case. I'm not saying that it doesn't fit. The problem is that you first place the phone into the colored, gel surrounding piece. You then have to fit these piece (and its protruding buttons) into the very hard and rigid black/grey plastic piece. It's kind of hard to do this since the gel-covered buttons have to fit into the holes on the device, and I ended up hitting the power button over and over again, and botting into recovery because one of the volume rockers was held down.
My Cyclops case, for the Glacier, was designed in the opposite way. The phone first fit into two hard pieces (a front and back piece, basically), and then a black rubber surrounding piece went around the plastic itself. This was really easy to take the phone out of and place it back within.
I know people will ask...I'd say the phone doesn't add too much in the way of size to the already very large S-II, but the only comparison I have is the D30. I do not have the Incipio or Seideio cases to compare.
My aegis case for my vibrant was the same. Its how they all are in terms of getting it on. Waiting for mine to get for the sgs2

my main concern is how well it protects but a close second on how hard it is to get out of the pocket. if im going to spend to cash to get something that would work well i want it to be what i want. any opinions?
So overall how do you feel about the case?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
I'd say pocket fitment is mostly contingent upon the pocket. I have been putting the SII + Trident case in the front pocket of shirts and it only sticks out a small bit. It fits in my jeans pockets, but I wear my jeans a bit baggy. It won't fit in the pockets of my dressier slacks. So, I find it easy to get out of most pockets. My Glacier + Trident was actually probably a bit more difficult due to the ribbed silicone surround. The case for the S II doesn't have much to snag on. Keep in mind though, that the Glacier + Case was a lot thicker, front screen to back battery cover, than the S II is. This definitely had something to do with it as well.
Overall I am pleased with the case. I like the color options, shape, and structural design of the case. While I did find the previous "Cyclops" style case that I had for my Glacier to be easier to take off and on, this new case seems, at least at first glance, to provide equal or better protection while also being easier to fit in pockets.
One footnote: I'm using this case along with a Zagg wet application invisible shield and I'm not having any issues with the corners peeling.
What did you pay? Looks sick.

Same question I had, it says on product page that it includes a "Re-Applicable Screen Protector".
BTW, coupon code "holiday2011" gives you a nice $7 off!
does the screen protector look to be of good quality?
I also noticed that the plastic doesn't hold/secure the rubber on the bottom of the phone, is it easy for the bottom corners to come off say when you're putting it in or pulling it out of your pockets?
Thanks!

The screen protector does look cheap. I'm not using it so I didn't really pay much attention to it. The hard case does not wrap around the bottom, so it is just the gel casing. But I haven't had any issues with the case coming off when putting the phone in my pocket
I really wish otter would make a defender case for this phone! I loved it on my iPhone

I paid $22 with free shipping using the promo code holiday2011.
And yes, I got it from the tridenteer site.
i just ordered one... ill compare and take pictures comparing it to my incipio silicrylic case when i get the trident
I put the screen protector on. Used a wet install. Looks great so far. Smooth feel and very clear. It is dark outside right now, so I will report back tomorrow during the day. Looks really good in the house. Just a few air bubbles settling. I can tell they will go away though.
Screen protector is great. Really clear in light and dark. I'm sure there's better quality out there but for free its great. Also I have the green case. Get compliments like crazy about this case. Very high quality and looks pretty sick. Great protection. Great looks. Great case.
FYI the Incipio case has the slight gap around the camera as well.
The only issue I have seen, been using the case about a week, is the flap that covers the charging port doesn't want to stay closed. It doesn't hang down enough to cause problems really but isn't a tight fit and would def let dust in. Other than this small issue the case works great.

Elago Breath Cases GS3 White & Blue pictured on white GS3

Hey guys I ordered two Elago Breathe Cases for the GS3 from Amazon. I purchased the Glossy White as well as a blue called Glossy Coral. They cost $9.99 each and since I have prime I got two day shipping for free. Here is the direct link for the cases for the GS3:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aag/main?ie=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFulfilled=1&isCBA=&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&seller=A23S71QXDZCPQA
I purchased the white one for myself and the blue one for my girlfriend. The cases are very thin and sleek. They feel great in the hand and do not add extra bulk to the phone. The top and bottom of the case is open so you wont get overall protection there, so be careful when handling it and not dropping it. There is a slight lip, but I don't think that it will keep the phone raised up enough off a surface if you lay the phone flat on the screen side. I would definitely recommend putting a screen protector on to be combined with this case. I had already purchased a screen protector the day I picked up the phone from the store, however Elago actually sells the case together with a screen protector from amazon as well. The prices for the two combined are $24.99, and the screen protectors from Elago are $8.99 alone. There are cut outs on the sides for the power button and the volume rocker. I feel that the cut outs aren't recessed enough, and your made aware of it however it does not bother me too much. Overall I am very happy with the cases especially for the price. I would definitely buy from Elago again, and I do like the variety of colors that they offer the cases in. I like the Breathe style because they are different than all of these other snap on thin cases and make the phone stand out more. I took some pics from various angles with both cases on the phone and off the phone with my dslr so you guys can take a look for yourselves.
nice review. how well does the phone stay in the case though? i've been hesitant with snap on cases because i'm afraid the phone will come out of it.
are they grippy or are they still really smooth? I am planning on getting a case only because the phone is so smooth i know i'm going to drop it eventually.
It's a great looking case though!

Thanks! The phone is snug within the case. It hasn't come out of the phone. It fell earlier today, and the case popped off but i've had that happen with other cases though. When it fell, there was not damage to the phone. THANK GOD! LOL.

It is smooth but I feel like the perforated holes add grip while your hands are holding it. I used it all day yesterday and today so far and haven't slip because of it being too smooth.
I was hoping that the official vent case for the GS3 looked like the official case for the GS2 but they screwed the look up pretty badly. This one looks good but it needs that flashy silver plaque. Haha.
Although I felt the same way about the actual phone itself but the GS3 grew on me and is now the best looking phone ever. Maybe that official vent case will grow on me as well.
Had an elago s4 on my iPhone. Best case I ever had. Thanks for the review!

White Metal Bumper Review w/ Hex Screws

Not much of a reviewer here, but I ordered this from eBay about 2 weeks ago and it arrived today from China. Packaging was a bit strange and is advertised as a Flip Cover i9300. It comes with 1 driver for the screws which can be put on your keychain. 6 screws ( 4 for the phone and 2 extra on the driver ). The overall feel is pretty smooth. The paint seems a bit cheap and might chip easily over time. The buttons are a bit difficult to access.. thats my main gripe, but not near as bad as pressing really hard on the otterbox commuter. No dramatic signal loss that I can tell .. I benchmarked at -87 and with the case -95. Pictures behind the link to show it off in action. If you have any questions please post them here!

Thanks for the pics, I ordered the same case and am waiting for it to arrive. Glad to see the signal loss isnt too bad.
EDIT: Quick question, how is the padding inside the bumper. This was my main concern with buying one.

It's really nice and quite flush. I was a bit worried about the slide action but it sits tight. My 4th case so far.
I want to get one but i really do not see the point in buying one for two reasons..
1. The back bit of the phone is the bit i want to protect this doesn't keep it from getting scratched and stuff.
2. It's ugly lol..

The bumper alone drops reception about 5db, adding a metal backplate would encase the phone in a faraday cage, thus drooping reception to 0. making it no longer a phone, be glad no-one has offered that, because anyone that bought it, would be wasting money.
wow i really like the look and shape of that metal bumper, I think it looks really nice!
I wonder if they have a version with buttons instead of holes.
I have a "fake triobump" without buttons, and its easy enough to use once you get used to it, I'd still prefer to have buttons for the cleaner look and ease of use.
the hex screw bumper with buttons would be perfect!
btw my "fake triobump" was slightly loose fitting at first, but it was very snug once i put on my screen protector and fake carbon fiber backplate (which also slightly recesses the camera :good I LOVE the fit and feel of this combination.

LOL the GS3 back is simple to replace and only $7 to get a new OEM one. I don't see a reason to add the bulk of a full case when I can just add a bumper to the part that's harder to protect.

UPDATED W/PIX ROCK texture series Leather Case cover For Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1*

Well I just noticed my case was sitting on my porch. Da! :silly:
After opening it up I am pleasantly pleased.
The case is very slim. Picture 2 iPad smart covers with the tablet sandwiched in between.
The material is nice. Can't really explain what it is accept if you mated the iPad smart cover with some faux leather.
It feels great in my hand and looks good. I really like the slim design.
It is held in nicely with the four corner hooks.. Yes the pen is covered up with oneof the hooks, but the hook easily comes off and you have easy access to the pen.
The other 3 hooks hold the tablet tightly but the pen corner hook is not as tight allowing the access.
Both the typing angle and the up right angle are stable and I don't feel like it will topple over as I pushed on it.
Ports , buttons are all accessible and you can charge while the case is on and closed.
The case has the elastic band on its backside which you pull over the front to hold it closed.
I got the gray color which compliments the tablet nicely. Very professional looking.
I ordered it on the 29th-took 10 days.
Do I recommend it. Yes.
Would I buy it again? Yes.
I will update with pictures later.

Yeah, I bought one of these also in grey, but it hasn't arrived. Should come this week.
I like the thinness of the case.
However, I also got a Noreve case, as I think the top of the tablet is better protected.
That was my only critizism of the ROCK. There didn't seem a lot of protection on the side edges and the top of the case for the device.
What's your thoughts on this?

I like the noreve case. But more than double the cost than the rock. Yikes.
It has enough protection for me to feel comfortable throwing it in my bag or brief case. I was looking for something slim at a good price that did not cover the bezzle. I figure there will be alot of cases coming out soon.
Yeah, I don't like to have my bezel covered either.

The only reason I try to avoid rubber band cases are because once they snap, your case is useless.
Would the band break? (is it secure?)
I have had this case for a week now and my band still seems secure. I use this case alot in everyday use
without the band so even if the band snapped which i doubt it will- it would still work.
Is it just the pictures or does the dark grey look like a very light grey?

I would say some where in between but more leaning towards the darker. Pix make it look lighter.
I've got the grey one from the local store. It's not a light grey. It's more like a graphite color.
The green one is a light green, kinda like ocean green.
The brown one is also a light brown.
The case is well-maded ,beautiful and thin but I think I will have to sell it because it's difficult to take the pen out.

They are made of TPU with a cool design and the cutouts are perfectly cut. I've owned a bunch of their cases for my GNex, S3, One S, and Nexus 7. Now im adding the Optimus G to my collection.
Check them out here http://www.cruzerlite.com/cases/lg/optimus-g/cruzerlite-androidified-a2-case-for-lg-optimus-g-sprint
I will post a review of the case as soon as I get it. Also don't mind the At&t logo on the pictures. This is indeed for the Sprint version!
Ya i saw that earlier today. I really want the CM or xda case!

I'd love to see real life pictures! Curious about which buttons have cutouts (the diztronic I have covers the volume, but not power) and how it looks on the front of the phone. Might be trading it for one of these - I really want a blue or green case and I love the Android design on the back

There are cutouts for all buttons and ports. Decent case. Sorry I couldn't send more photos, my connection is terrible right now.

So I ended up getting the flu so I didn't get to take the time to take better pictures or write up a good review. For now here are some pictures I took with my s3 and just give a brief review.
The case is thin but feels nice. It adds good grip to the phone without adding bulk. Everything fits just right. No ports or holes are off line. One thing I noticed is on the back there is a sort of wet effect between the phone and the case because the glossy back is sticking to the case. I tried to show that with a few pictures. Not an issue for me but just something to keep in mind. You can see the crystal reflection back faintly through this smoke case.
The sides have a nice ribbing for grip. There are openings for the volume and power buttons which are recessed to prevent accidentally triggering them. I was able to fit the Samsung and LG Usb cables through the microusb port cutout. The headphone cutout is big too so I was able to fit my headphone cable and aux cable easily.
The case is thick enough to reach the thickness of the camera so the phone feels all even which is great. You can put the phone down on its back without worry. On the front you might be able to see that the lip comes around enough to keep the screen from touching anything if it's set down face first. This comes at a price though, it lifts screen protectors off.
Overall the case feels great and looks great, I have their cases for all of my devices. It's very minimal in size so font expect amazing protection but for some who isn't looking for bulk this is perfect. It won't ever stick in your pocket or collect lint. It adds some grip and a cool logo on the back.
I'm still very limited writing this from bed so if anyone has questions or wants more info/pics let me know. I'll add pics of the clear one later.
