Seidio red active case with kickstand and holster for $32, free shipping - Galaxy S III Accessories

Bought this case from amazon (see: "Seidio BD2-HK3SSGS3K-GR ACTIVE Case with Metal Kickstand and Holster Combo for Samsung Galaxy S III - Combo Pack - Retail Packaging - Garnet Red", product number B008FYFUJE, shipped and sold by amazon)...
I think this case with holster are normally $45+ elsewhere, so I thought I'd share (to get my post count up so I can participate in the dev forum and post links in the future).
The case feels great in your hands and the free holster is very solid.
Cheers,

How much is shipping on the $16.90 case? I'm not sure how long the kickstand design will last as it's plastic... You may be better off spending the extra $10 for a case with a spring loaded, magnetic all metal mechanism.

Seidio makes awesome products. Definitely recommend.

I like mine a lot. The carnet red looks much better in person than on amazon (which is probably why it was $32 and the other colors were $49?!?!). The camel camel camel site (amazon price tracker) shows this is the lowest price the case has ever been... It's been as high as $50.97, and I must say it does feel like a $50 case.

I wanted one of these in blue but they don't seem to stock them in the uk. only ones I can find here are black. also worried about the kickstand when taking it out of my pocket.

The kickstand is held in place my a pretty strong magnet. It's a nice kickstand too as it has some width to stabilize the phone.

cool. is it slippy in the hand? looks quite shiny.

Not really slippery. The red satin sheen has a strange rubbery feel though, but it is also hard plastic... The phone is easy to hold with the case on.
The black rubber is a very good grade of silicone. You can easily push the buttons with it on.

i have used seidio all the way back to my evo 4g....i currently have the convert combo with the convert clip plus the active clip so with convert protection off...i just through it in the active case and hit the road... it covers every hole plus the flash and camera (which is a flap easy to open) speaker stays open..check it out..i highly recommend for the s3! cheers

thanks. ordered a black one seeing as it's either black or white in the uk without waiting for 3 weeks!

On the US end, I have bought several items from Amazon's UK site as some of the blu-ray sets are many times cheaper there and are region free. The items arrive quickly, sometimes in less than a week! The last box set I ordered from Amazon UK came from Amazon France, and that delayed things some.

IMHO i wouldnt buy a case just yet, unless its from ur service provider or from HTC itself.
in alot of cases and reports ive read they are using the Blackberry Curve cases with minimal NOTICEABLE modifications to make them Snap compatible, and well thats no bueno!
Talkie Tech Cases
I just got 2 cases from Talkie Tech and I can say they're made for the HTC Ozone. Definitely *not* a mod of another phone.
Price was $9.95(US) plus flat rate shipping ($4.95 I believe) and I got them in 2 days.
Very satisfied, they're a great product.

I just bought this one on Ebay-
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400070510706&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:US:1123
I had a hard plastic case for about 2 weeks, took it off to pull battery and noticed pits from rocks/dirt that got under the case... Soft Skins = Win.
Had a silicone case for 3 weeks, easy to clean, no dirt, best buy.
I use the Ozone belt clip / holster available from VZW
Hard Plastic
I bought a hard plastic case, coated in rubber on the outside, for about $20 from verizon corp. store... It makes the phone a little easier to handle, without it I always felt I was going to drop it, def. a good choice for me, it snaps together well, and has a little pit where you need to insert the edge of a coin and pry it apart, not going to pull apart by accident. The thick design also protects the cam lens from scratches as well. I'd recommend something like this, by the way they even gave me my 22% work discount on the accessory, as well as on the monthly bill.

Will Ozone cases fit my Sprint Snap, or are there slight differences that wont allow snap cases to work?
Case Mate Barely There for Dash 3G
Here is one on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Case-Mate-Barel...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item19baaafcca
It comes in 5 colors, my choice is black.
This is the FINEST case for the Dash 3G, a little pricey but you get what you pay for. They go for about $17 on most websites. Form fitting case, protects the sides and corners and adds strength. Comes with a clear screen protector. Adds on a couple of millimeters to the size but you can find a leather case that will fit even with the Case Mate installed when you are on the go.
This case also removes easilly in case you want to change the battery or whatever.
I went quite a few cases before i found this one, and I love it. Forget about the cheap snap on cases they break, the expensive snap ons they wont come off without breaking, the aluminum cases block the signal, this is the case you want!
I´ve just buyed the black silicone case posted before, soon as I got it I´ll post some pics
I got 2 Ozone protective plastic/rubberized front case from handhelditems.com along with the mirror screen protector, along with fast USPS shipping - all for under $10 (USD)
The case fit together nicely & tightly, and made it nearly the same size as the classic Motorla Q series - all the factory slots, usb port, camera & side buttons are easily to use. It gives the phone the extra weight, touch & feel and even if it is dropped, should give it good amount of protection.
I then slide mine into one of those Motorola side pouch for extra margin of safety. At other things, I just put it in the pocket as it's so slim and away from keys, coins or items that can scratch.
I had the leather case with rotating belt clip from VZW for a while and that worked too, except the plastic over the screen sometimes do cause problem trying to read it outdoor, plus, dust gather underneath it.
I have a slightly used OEM Verizon Ozone holster if anybody wants to pony up $10.00 you can have it.

[Review] Seidio Innocase for Vibrant

So the first thing I noticed was that this is not a slider, but a front-and-back snap case. The product description says "Unique snap together design and opening slot makes putting on and removing your case easy" but for some reason thought it was a slider like the Surface II for the Captivate. So, it's not their fault I misunderstood.
Since the front bezel cover is so thin, my initial impression is that it seems a little flimsy. The back cover is also quite thin and has no lining like other Seidio cases. I think this was a conscious decision in order to keep the case as slim as possible. The fit is quite precise, so I don't think the lining would really make much difference as there is no movement within the case.
Although the front bezel piece seems flimsy at first, it feels quite sturdy once you snap it to the back cover. I do have some concerns the clips that snap together will wear down over time if you remove the cover frequently. Only time will tell on that point.
It has Seidio's "signature soft touch finish" which is like a somewhat rubberized matte texture. It's quite nice, but attracts prints if you have oily fingers.
Overall, the fit is pretty much perfect and the cutouts are precise. It's very thin and has a nice texture. Of the six cases I have, it's certainly the nicest. It does, however, cost about as much as the other five cases combined - $29.95.
At $19.95, I'd probably recommend it in a second. At $30 I have some reservations, namely the long term durability of the clasps that keep the two pieces together.
Vibrant case wont work
should be gettin mine tomorrow....
i think they have 6 month warranty which actually does work. thats another big plus with this company.

Good to know. Hopefully won't have to use it.
Thanks for the review.
I'm still sticking to my white mesh case. I like really light and almost-not-there type of cases.
Thanks for the review, mine should be here within a day or so.
I ordered using the coupon code XMAS15 that was posted here. Not certain it's still valid though as the poster said it may expire on the 19th.
To the OP, how does the phone feel in your hands compared to what you had previously?
Also, did your volume buttons ever rattle? This is my only hesitation as the silicone case from t-mobile prevents the rattles I have from the volume rocker (which is loose).

For reference, I've had TPU's, hybrid TPU/Plastic (the one with hard clear back), a generic version of the Barely-There, and a flexible plastic perforated case (XMatrix Cover from DayDeal).
The added size and weight is similar to the XMatrix perforated case. It's not as slim as the Barely-There style cases, but I think it's definitely lower profile than TPU or silicone.
The finish is nearly the same as the Barely-There knock off I have, but seems a little more durable (the coating on the old case started to come off within days). It's smooth, almost suede-like, but has a bit of tack when held in the hand. When put on a smooth surface, like a desk or on wood trim in a car, it does not stick at all. This is a bit of a negative for me. One thing I like about TPU cases is that they kind of stick when you lay them on a smoother surface (I usually put my phone on the wood trim next to the gear shift in my car) but are not tacky otherwise.
As for the volume buttons, mine are not loose so I can't really comment on that issue.
One other thing I've noticed in the last few days of using the case, is that bezel cover is attached to the bottom part in only a few spots so there is some give in the areas that aren't clipped together. I think they should have added a couple more contact points on each side. It's not terrible, but I'm a bit OCD so it probably bothers me more than it would most other people.
I'll report back, should be here anytime now.. thanks man.
Case is good, very slim and feels good in hand, not perfect like other Seidio products. Like the review states, the case is NOT slide-on which sucks. I dont know why they used clip-on design, with slide-on case could have been even slimmer and more durable. Fit is also nice, but also not perfect, phone is just a little loose in case, not noticeable right away until you play with it.

After waiting around for the SGP Slider, I was also hoping this would be a sliding case.
I did get to hold a Captivate with the Innocase II, which is a slider, and the fit was pretty awful. It moves around a ton compared to this front-back type. I guess I'll take this style and more precise fit over slider with a bad fit.
Is it the bump on the Vibrant that is the main issue with a slider?
I was a bit let down to find this was a snap on the front/back design.

it is nice and clean. my nexus one case fits better, but they probably had to make it clip-on design i guess for Vibrant bump
Nice review! I can't help but feel like Seidio threw this product together in a hurry, after they realized there are people with Vibrants. It just looks cheap compare to their other offerings.
Just got it. initial impressions:
1 feels great in the hand. Looks good too.
2 I absolutely hate how easy it un-snaps.
3 I want to know their return policy till they have a legit case like the ones I am accustomed too from seidio.
4 it's much more difficult to press power now.
EDIT: okay, found out how to do the return, just waiting to hear back from them.

Any Decent Cases in the UK??

Hi all,
I'm not having much luck getting a decent case for my Xoom in the UK, so far I have bought the following:-
(1) UltimateAddons Anti-Shock Memory Foam Sleeve Case for Motorola Xoom Tablet PC
(http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004U7BW60) - This was WAY TOO BIG!
(2) Port Designs Berlin Netbook Skin 10 Inch With Life Time Warranty (black)
(http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002PD61B2) - Nice case but really designed to hold a notebook (Has straps to hld the screen & keyboard) so my Xoom slips around inside.
(3) Black Rugged Carrying Case for Apple IPAD, iPAD2 AND Motorola Xoom 10.1 inch Tablet
(http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004W1CFMO) - Didn't bother opening this one as it looked like my Xoom would slip around inside this case too??
I would prefer a case with handles but failing that a leather case - I quite like the ZooGue Leather case but this is not available in the UK
Any Suggestions??
Cheers
Ody
Well, I'm not in the UK, but I'm down here in Australia, so I have even less range to choose from than you (the Xoom isn't even out here yet). Well, you could still order the zoogue one from their site, I think. I'm pretty sure they have international shipping, don't they?
Also, I recently bought a case off eBay that has fully adjustable viewing angles (via the use of velcro), like the zoogue but is only US$25. I think it looks really nice too, but I guess I'll find out when it arrives.
I can't post links, but if you search "Black Folio Leather Case Cover For Motorola Xoom Tablet" exactly, it should show up. It's the one with taylor swift in on the xoom screen, and the seller is "dcone_us"
I've also been looking in the UK without much luck.
word of warning on the zoogue case, I preordered, but since it shipped 3 weeks ago I've not recieved anything. No responce to my latest emails to them either

My experience of buying stuff from the US, is that you'll get hammered for customs!
I wanted an Otterbox for my old Dell streak and ordered one from an ebay seller for about £20 inc postage (in the UK you could only pre-order for about £26) BUT the post office then charged me £10 adminstration for the customs, £1.70 VAT then another £1 for having the incorrect duty, so in the end it cost me £34 odd pounds!!
I Just checked on the ZooGue website that they ship by USPS so it will take a few weeks + the customs hold up
It took about 3 weeks for my Otterbox to arrive and that was bt USPS Express! which is faster than USPS Priority??
I am in Sweden and ordered the Zoogue case. After almost three weeks it arrived and I can only recommend it, its a great case.
I bought this one from ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270737383497
It's OK. The hole for the front facing camera wasn't positioned correctly so it covered it a little bit. I made it larger with a knife and now it's fine. You can't plug in the charger when its fully closed. Apart from those issues it's adequate. Better than the official case anyway.
The stock folio case is pretty good, seems to provide decent protection while being relatively small.
I ordered this one and its a perfect fit and looks great
Tuff-Luv 'Veggie' Faux Leather Pull-Tab Case for Motorola Xoom from Amazon UK. Sorry forum blocks me from posting url.
got the stock folio case , pretty happy with it , not too bulky , enough protection , 2 stand positions , think it was £30
I've tried a few cases (all from Amazon UK)...
The Navitech - cheap, but if you just want protection, then I guess it works, but I'm not using it, as the flap doesn't work in sofa mode
Motorola Folio - advertised as leather on Amazon, but it's nylon. No scratching problems for me, and I actually like it... protection at minimum size and it works in the speaker dock too. No more holding the Xoom while lying on a sofa
PDair BX2 Black Leather Case - expensive, but it is well made. It also offers more tilt positions than the Folio case. Doesn't work in the dock, but very easy to remove the Xoom from it (unlike the Folio case). Offers more protection than folio case, but it is bulkier. Also the leather border means some buttons on the edge of the screen can be a bit harder to press, compared to the Folio.
For the moment I am using the PDair
I've just recieved this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004XGIPJA/ref=oss_product
I think it's excellent for the price.
Great fit, solid close, and the stand doesn't collapse under pressure.

LuvTab Black Luxury Executive Wallet (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004X5JO9Q/ref=oss_product)
Ordered it at Amazon.co.uk, but from Germany. I seems that it has been shipped from Krefeld/Germany, so it arrived less than 2 days after
For the moment I'm contented with it, it fits perfectly and doesn't bloat the Xoom too much. If I come to the US as planned for this summer, I'll have a look at this special new original folio case from Moto/VZW. Until then the current one is well enough.
Once which is the biggest problem with all of these cases appears with this as well: the device can't be charged while the case is closed.

Received now and it isn't too bad. Nice soft leather... if perhaps a little too soft. The case seems to suffer from the top lip around the front camera not sitting snugly to the device that similar cases report. No notification light cutout or closed charging cutout.
Not bad for using in stand mode but still slips down a little a although there is a bottom flap that folds under the case there is no fixing for it. Also the lowest angle is not too comfortable for typing so had to lie it down flat. But the elastic fastening strap is very "moleskin" and secure.
They also claim there is a stylus/SD card slot but that is not really practical... if you look at the front there is a vertical line in the leather... this not just a detail stitch but a flap of sorts that might be OK for sliding business cards or notes of paper that you want handy briefly but anything of any depth just falls out all the time!
All in all though it isn't a bad case now I have gotten used to it and over come my first impression and given up with stylus pocket thing.

Thats not what she said...
I just picked up one of these a couple hours ago at a local sprint shack. I do wish it had a bit more coverage, specifically top and bottom. But I've found (through multiple drops already) that the phone itself is pretty sturdy, it's just that the battery cover pops off way too easy, which usually equals battery popping out as well. So this case will do what I mainly want, which is to keep the battery in And I think the kickstand will be useful!
i just saw one hands on for a co-workers phone. i actually like it. found it on amazon for $15.93 (free shipping) and ebay for $13.99 (free shipping). i like the white case-mate pop, but this seems a bit thinner with a better kick-stand.
Just bought one off ebay for 13.99. I have the pop case which I like, but it is too thick
I ordered mine from Amazon, $13.26 with free shipping. will give feedback once received.
Got mine the other day (my 7th case for the touch...). It doesn't cover the top or bottom very well but it is thinner than the casemate pop case. If you want thin and a kickstand, this is the way to go.
Like mine, it stands up fine on its side (landscape).
I wish there was a non-textures version
mine arrived yesterday and so far I really like it. was surprised at how nice it looks too, very sleek but still the manly style. the kickstand is sturdy and due to the size, my phone still fits the same leather holster and the garmin windshield holder.

they have it in all black as well, just search around on Amazon.
This case also fits in the seidio surface holster as well.
FYI for anyone interested in this case. I just ordered one on ebay for $8.99 with free shipping. It is on "Sale" from $9.99 for the next 6 days (until 12/19/11?) according to the ebay post.
Just search on ebay for "Body Glove Samsung Epic 4G Touch". The pic shows the gray version but the model number is correct and it only comes in black for the ET4G.
I got the cibo s case but thinking maybe cancel that and get this. how much thickness does it add?
I just got this case yesterday, and so far I'm pleased with the sturdiness and build. It does add some bulk to the back of the phone. On the phone without a case, the bottom back of the phone sticks out more versus the top of the phone. With this case, it now has a flat back with a little more girth. That will give you a sense of how much thickness the case adds to the phone. Hope that makes sense.
I do wish this case was a little grippier (if that's a word). Still a little slick in my hands, but easy to get in and out of my pockets. Overall, I'm please with this case, especially for the price. My main thing I needed in a case was the kickstand. My son watches shows on my phone when we are out and it makes it so much more convenient with this case.

just got the body glove case in the mail, the kickstand is a really useful feature but I feel the cibo s case offers much better grip since it has a cross hash pattern on the edges. I say protection wise it's better also because the top/bottom are not open (and I suspect if the phone were to ever fall, it would pop out of the body glove). the extra thickness is not a problem though.

At $22.75 and free shipping, this is the lowest price I was able to find. It's out for delivery today, so I'll post a quick review within the next couple of days. I'm currently using a CruzerLite TPU case, as I'm not a big fan of dual layer (i.e., Otterbox, Ballistic, etc.) cases. The PureGear certainly seems like an interesting option.

Thank you! there are virtually no reviews out for this case which one are you getting? if it is the coconut jelly one would you be able to comment on whether the clear back leaves any marks on the back of the s3 (those big bubbles you get when plastic touches something), as postage to the UK takes 30 days your help is really appreciated
I was considering both Coconut Jelly and Black Tea, and ended up going with Black Tea. I know exactly what marks/bubbles you're referring to - my wife is using a CruzerLite translucent green TPU case on her white GS3, and the bubbles on the back are a bit unsightly. I came across a post on a different thread, where it was suggested to spread a small amount of talcum powder inside the case prior to putting it on the phone. Supposedly, it completely eliminates the bubbles.
We sell this case in store at TMobile ... they sell out fast... pretty nice case and a very functional holster
Just seeing if anyone has purchased one of these cases and how they compare to a diztronic or SGP color hybrid.
Thanks,
i wanted to buy this but kinda worry about the grippy rubber will easily get dirt and not washable. Also, how come there is no passion fruit color at all?????
Forget the case, look at the screen protector. Damn genius design...
looks real nice.
I like the Black Tea. Passion Fruit would've been soo much better had it had green trim rather then the blue.
I received my case and am definitely liking it so far, despite a couple of minor imperfections. I'll post a review this weekend, when I have the time to sit down and write one up. All in all, I give the case 8.5/10.
The rubber is hard, not the grippy kind. It doesn't trap dirt at all. The case is far superior to the CruzerLite TPU case that I've been using previously.
@Goobacks:
I agree, the design of the roll-on screen protector is absolutely genius. However, $25 is a bit too hefty.

did you get the coconut jelly clear version?? when u say the rubber is hard, is that the back too? will this prevent those unsightly bubbles?
thanks
I am looking at this case and wonder how everyone that got them likes it? Is it a slippery case? Holding up well?

In the event you come back to this thread, my case is holding up like a champ. They are available on Amazon for around $15 nowadays, and it's definitely worth the money. I got the orange one for my wife, who always keeps her phone in her purse, and the edges accummulated black scuff marks all around the sides of the case. I have the black tea one, and it still looks the same as it did the day I bought it. Then again, I don't have a purse!
Not a bad case not real grippy got the coconut jelly ( clear ) I don't recommend the color it looks like it has 3 cracks ( really small ones ) rite above the 3 slots for camera speaker and flash but not bad for paying 17 bucks with shipping from cell guru

Hi, I read a comment on Amazon about the white one where the reviewer says that the nubs didn't stop the case from scratching when the phone vibrated. Do you or your wife see this problem?
Thanks
