hi all in having problem with my htc one x
its a uk phone . keeps saying no service was on orange i didn't have a orange sim so i unlocked it via a code .
what ever sims goes in it it says no service it hasn't had any thing do to it ie bootloader or custom rom .
if i go to network and search says "error while searching for network"
any help would be great its not blocked i checked that with checkmend

I recently got a Moto Q 9H which was unlocked , on the Telstra Network. Upon connecting my device to the pc and running motorola software update , aswell as reading several stories around the net about the 6.1 upgrade , i updated. My phone was then locked to AT&T (because i cleverly used the American ROM lol) Ive reflashed the ROM back to the default Telstra one but , even with my original Telstra Sim in , i now have the Dreaded "Network Pin" message. Telstra have not really been very helpful , after replacing the sim (free though) and giving me my PUK code , i still get the request for the Network Pin. I rang Telstra , who referred me to Motorola , who referred me back to Telstra!!!
I tried a few of the online unlocking service websites but all of them emailed me back saying they were unable to generate the code. Likewise , when i rang Telstra to ask for the Network Pin (Subsidy Code) , they asked me for my IMEI and then said that they cant generate it using their software. The phone was given to me by a friend , who got it through work. As the phone was not purchased from a Telstra shop, maybe this is why none of these unlocks work??
Anyway , i saw a post on here in reference to getting the previously unlocked (Locked after upgrade) Moto Q 9h unlocked and working again. Howerver the link was to the motomoddinguk.info site which has been unfortunately taken down.
Really need to get my phone unlocked again , as it wont even accept the Telstra Sim Card Now!! (Even though its an official telstra phone with the Telstra ROM!)

Hi, yesterday I recieved a used HTC Desire that was supposed to be unlocked but when I turned it up and go through the info asking part it asked me for a sim network unlock pin which of course I didnt had so I asked the guy who selled it to me if he could send me the unlock code he got to unlock it and he sent it to me. But to my surprise when I restarted the phone and put the code succesfully, the phone had signal but the sim card on the status bar had an excalmation mark over it, also it doesnt show any carrier name and when I put find mobile networks it says error while searching for networks and nothing else.
Actually the phone has cyanogenMod 6.0.0 installed

Probably won't work. VM USA/Sprint is CDMA and most likely your country is GSM. I think you need a version with working dual SIM slots.
Hi , I just get a t-mobile HTC g2 as a gift , and after I factory reset it and I got a problem , I insert a new sim card and it request a sim network code !! And I had sent a message to T-Mobile too but they need me to get the phone owners to contact them to get the code !! If I root the phone and flash a new room , will it Fox my problem ??
Yes it should
Flashing a new rom will fix the probem because the network lock on android devices is firmware based. Some sites on the internet provide these codes, tough.
