I have Windows 6.5 ROM for this device and i have more applications for making this device as a good one for our all needs..........
I have some more experience with updating ROM and just know little more tricks with app. too...

Yes... Looking same and only some configurations are with little bit different.. like PROCESSOR VERSION and some others....
You can try all this app for your device, no any problem with it....

Thanks for the fast reply, I bought this "Jack" at a pawn shop with the idea of unlocking it for my wife...that was 5 months ago & this cell has proved to be quite impregnable. Still it's good to find apps for it.

Samsung B7320 Window get corrupt.
I have window mobile 6.1 and it work fine for me yesterday i install phone software updater from samsungmobile.com and update my phone.
when 50% done i get option to recovery window. and follow the step press J button and on ur mobile and in the end i successfull installed. but when i on the mobile it only shows Samsung with black screen.
i have windows 7 operation system.
now u both guys tell me wht i have to do...?
i want my mobile back to running condition..
plz help me out..

Just try this NOW..........
remove battery and replace again... then press[hold it and wait for the option window] "J" [Sorry friends.... this is my ERROR.... Please use 'F' button, this is the correct button.] and power button at same time.. you can see the MasterReset option here........ Just choose MasterReset and Device Memory......
wait a little bit.... it will reboot again with normal mode....
If this is not working.... let me know about it.. ok friend........

When i hold J and press On button it never shows any thing mobile screen.

1 for master clear
2 for master reset
0 for exit.
i try both but same prob.

i check it again and it dont work it show formating ur device but after some sec again block screen and samsung logo show.
i am from pakistan and i buy it from dubai i think i dont have warrenty i buy it in feb 2009.

I need that correct software link for checking....

You have 2 options for making your device better for you....
1. Contact with SAMSUNG service center and ask for Software Installation
2. You can try to installing WinMOb 6.5 ROM on your device only with your own risk.....
I prefer only 1st option because before i tried to install a European firmware for my b7320 because i need the Spanish language. that time my device main board bricked and need to replace that board, in my luck my device is under the warranty period... so i just went to SS Service center and inform to them that " When i switched off and switched on this phone today, it seems like this, what happened!!!!"... [Actually i tried to install that ROM... hi hi hi]
SS Service center people informed me that my device main board bricked and must need to change, my phone under the warranty period so those are replaced the main board without any credit........ [Actually the main board price rate one of the double on that device price]
After replaced the main board, i tried to installed again the WinMob 6.5 with the Asian Firmware only..... It's working fine. no any problems with it......
Which option you want to take it..... !!!!

2. run GT-B7320_7330_MultiDownloaderMCCI_v7.0.exe
3. click Button on the panel: phone, eboot, pda and csc and choose the file [COLOR = "Blue"] (figure 1, Circle A) [/COLOR]
4. proceed to select download mode (figure 1, Circle B)
select everything except for EFS clear
[SIZE ="4"][COLOR="Blue]# The next step In the Device (jackie)[/COLOR][/SIZE]
1. turn off your device
2. press and hold the "J" on the device
3. connect the data cable and press the power button while still holding "J" Button
4. port later in the tab will look like [COLOR="Blue"](figure 1, Circle C)[/COLOR]
5. if it is detected in the flasher tools, release the "J" button
6. Click the Start button on the flasher tools (figure 1, Circle D)
5. process will run as long - 3 minutes

9. if it has been reset a second pop up will appear phones and sim config settings, select sim config and continue with the phone set up, and the flashing process was completed.

I know B7320L have the same specifications with the B7320. from what I saw through the site phonearena B7320L only marketed in certain countries.
you can try a cooked rom JR. do not worry bricked, as long as you follow the tutorial above.

Do you have or could you send me the et9.samsung_keylayout.txt file from a B7320? I'll try replacing that in my phone to see if it corrects my problem. it can bro, but only display for 10% every lost of energy, i don,t know how to display 1%

I mean you should remove numbers about level of main battery as 100%,90%,etc...Just have battery image,I think it's nicer...
and there is a problem with ActiveSync.At the fisrt time my device was connect to PC after upgraded this ROM,i could use ActiveSync normally,but up to now i haven't been able to use ActiveSync when i connect B7320 with PC,some friends got this problem,too
i connect B7320 with PC to use ActiveSync,my device doesn't work,i must remove battery then put it again in my device.I have no way to connect my device with ActiveSync...Please help me!!!

i have no problem with activesync to connect trough the desktop
maybe ill release clean version stable for next release.

@mr.monster : I'm very sory for inconvenience.Truthfully,I don't think the problem dues to your ROM.I really love it,love it more than a clean ROM.I only use ActiveSync when I need to UP ROM,then I never use it again,I like use B7320 as a small beauty PC.
In present,there are only 3 people talk to me that they can't use Active Sync to synch data between PC and B7320.I think maybe due to some programs they installed,or due to their PC.I'm not sure,too!
But you don't worry.I have nothing to complain of your ROM.It is so perfect

When you are trying to connect with ASync, Just UnchecK the option on USB "Enable Advanced Network Functionality"
May be it will work for you because some times happen same this problems for me on my W7....

-> many video players & audio players were not supported.

-> handcent sms
-> launcher pro (any launcher thrown at it worked including metro UI)
-> Games (angry birds rio,librith, aliens invasion, etc)
-> Extended Controls
-> Updates from Market

Speed wise the fone is OKish as it has 200 MB of RAM out of which you get 100 MB free. By the time you keep using it 70 MB is all you have.
Froyo 2.2.1 works flawless in it.
Touch sceen is a bit bad as u need hard touch.
QWERTY works great but one big flaw...no "," in it.
Volume keys on the keypad itself.
2 music players inbut -- Music & 3D music player.
Dual cams work well
Fring gets installed but din try as no WIFI.
1200 Mah battery works gr8 for one or more days (Nokia BL-5K)
Dual sim support works gr8 aswell.
Very Light in weight but same time it is fragile.
Tones loud enough.
Still in testing phase will keep updated as I get more hands on experiance on it.
Btw it has 2 charging points 1 USB and 2nd Nokia point
it takes 3 hours to charge but holds good enough for long time

6. Opera Mini 6 --> Works flawless and is a must have app for this Handset
7. Photoshop Express --> Good photoeditor
9. PlayerPro --> Loud enough music player for this mobile (3D player & inbuilt music players are there but this is a step up)
10. Almost all inbuilt apps : Whatsapp, Yahoo messenger, youtube, etc can be updated.

If your phone doesn't have it's own thread, then I doubt that you will find much information here and I suspect not many A8 owners will be here either.

Reboot Issue *RESOLVED*
Most of us might have experianced a reboot issue in this mobile.
I am a heavy user of this handset and was quite annoyed with the reboot issue.
It rebooted after some 5 - 6 hours ..the duration varied.
Solution:
What I did was:
In Settings --> Display --> Screen Time out ---> Set it to 30 minutes & mostly lock the screen on your own by pressing the center key or use an alternate screen lock widget on the homescreen.
The reboot is gone now
*NOTE: Never ever use Extended controls in this mobile: AS it slows the boot process and takes longer time to load the widgets on the screen.

ATTENTION!!!
It seems that one A8 may be not identical to another A8! Backup your phone before any system changes! It is your responsibility!
So, if you are brave enough:
Get modified Phone.apk (see attachment)
Copy original Phone.apk from /system/app/ to SD
Replace (do not delete or rename!) original Phone.apk in /system/app/ with modified Phone.apk (you need root privileges)
Reboot (you have no choice - A8 would be unusable at this point)
Return to /system/app and change permissions of new Phone.apk to rw-r--r--
Reboot again
Enjoy the silence! after call of course

Well what I have learnt is that
1. Never Root this mobile as it screws up the fone.
2. Its possible to upgrade it to 2.3 Gingerbread but chances of brick are more

Why? Mine is rooted and I have no problems at all. I had used Androot for rooting.

Well rooting it increases the reboot issue of the mobile as the RAM is 190 MB avaiable and gets flooded soon
Gingerbread is listed on some chinese websites for this fone, but performance is slow

@schloss - Thank you for the link... the only forum I found something abou Star A8 was the russian one and I had to translate with Google Translator to find what is here
Now is too late, I replaced "phone.apk" in system\app\ using Root Explorer and all is OK for now...
I also have a backup for original "phone.apk" just in case
LE: for noobs like me in the Android system - use RootExplorer Full Version to copy phone.apk and change permissions of new Phone.apk to rw-r--r--
What other questions do I have:
1. Is there any way to turn on the LED from camera when I use a flashlight application... I tried all the applications from the market, but no one can turn ON the camera led
2. One more thing: I use English language at menu and when I type a numer it appears a line "-" between every 3 digits like that "072-239-2803". I want to appear simple "0722392803". When I switched the phone in Italian language, everything is perfect. I think that is because is English US, not English UK

@schloss - after replacing the files in system/lib, I restarted the phone and it is stucked on "Loading" - didn't start anymore

As this phone has a limited amount of user memory available (RAM) thus some apps work slow, namely Viber, Angrybirds, etc

I know that... that is why I asked if anybody found a videoringtone application which works fluent on this phone
Someone said that neither a permanent call recorder application won't work,too... Try "Auto Call Recorder Pro" (attached here) and works fluent and without any beep during the call

ROM or Firmware
I have this phone, but they do not read the SIM chips, or has no line, i get on the screen to insert SIM. I have read in many forums and they all tell me that is the firmware or ROM, someone on here has it?
I have read a little about how to install, but if you like you know how to do so will give you all my thanks.
In fact I downloaded a file tell me is the firmware but when I try to put with the SP Flash Tool exe_v1.1052.03, tells me that INCORRECT SCATTER FILE FORMAT

Programming in native code is not important for these Software :
- Evol Update (Like Windows Update, but for the ROM)
- App for Dev. Blog
you can create this, PM me with your Skype ID (or Windows Live ID)

I have this error too. but the SMS bug doesn't exist on Vodafone Brand.
This ROM not upgrade firmware and radio software on Vodafone Brand.
But resolve some SMS issues (this ROM update some .dll)

there is a sms bug , if i push the central key after a toast notification sometime the phone freeze and i have to pull down the battery...

The interop unlock is avaiable on Samsung Omnia W.
if you have the interop, you can install WP7 Root Tools and start the Rom installer.
For the SMS Bug on Samsung Omnia W, We are working.

I Have the Full Unlock on my Omnia W With Vodafone Brand with Wp7 Root Tools.

Thanks for the info mate. My question is, how did you Interop Unlock it?? Would you be kind enough to share the procedure??? I can tell you for sure as the majority of us here have exhausted all known steps to get it unlocked.

hey guys this seems to be harder than I thought, but till now I manged to create a solid code to base my work on
and I'm thinking of "HOX-BOX" as a name for my baby, what do you think?
Done since Update 1
- ADDED: dynamic shell (context) menu for faster flashing .. including the choice to enable/disable it
- ADDED: an advanced detection system, far better then the simple "devices" known command, this tool will be able to detect a 100% accurate state of the device including (adb/mtp - mass storage/camera p2p - fastboot - connected with no drivers - current drivers version - the path for the mass storage)
This toke me 2 days of hard work and it's based on the detection of system Drivers/Vendor ID status, so it can't go wrong
- ADDED: advanced model detection command before flashing to prevent wrong flashes
- IMPROVED: Interface and logging
- INCLUDED: HTC Drivers 32 and 64-bit adb/fastboot
- INCLUDED: USBDeview (helps with retrieving HTC's vendor IDs and Product IDs)
- IMPROVED: data size by removing unnecessary platform tools
Still Struggling with
- Live Stats
Normal stats are OK and ready but keeping the CPU stats alive is making the software unstable, I'm still working on this
- Drag n' Drop handlers
- Flashing a ROM through PC
haven't really gave it the time yet, i'll be looking into it as soon as I stabilize other current commands.

I Finished the following so far
- UI main Menu
- INCLUDED: platform-tools_r16.0.1-windows
- INCLUDED: 7z.exe and 7z.dll (to flash boot.img without user interference)
- One Click Flasher for kernels and recoveries is now ready (CWM, TWRP and BOOT)
- Logging system that creates user-friendly (humand readable) logs and Advanced Log that lists command and their returns
Now Working on
- Live stats about battery and processor
- a 100% PC based flash code you just plug in your HOX, select a ROM , and the tool will transfer it to the SD, flash it in recovery, erase cache and delvik, do selected wipes and flash the boot.img

Lately I've been thinking of Creating a Tool that works with PC to make common tasks easier
I have a good experience in programming/ui/animation/batches
The Tool is basically an AIO TOOLBOX for our One X (for now)
I have some Ideas , but I need some feedback before Starting
it will be User-Friendly.. Noob proof and really well themed
WHAT I HAVE IN MIND
• basic functions
- mode detection
- get device props (CID, Mainver, Current ROM, Free Space, Model and so)
• Includes
- fastboot environment
- latest drivers
- SU flashables
- recovery Images
• Commands
- help connecting your device by installing the drivers automatically, detect the current mode (and enable/disable options based on the mode)
- help with the bootloader unlock
- flash boot.img (even if not extracted) you can just select the ROM zip and the tool will extract the boot and flash it automatically
- flash recoveries
- push (transfer) files using adb (even if stuck in recovery) without writing any code (WYSIWYG), just choose files and click push
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU
(Done!) 1. should I do this? .... does it worth the time, or there is similar tools
2. if you think I should do it, should it have more features (than the mentioned above) , and please name them with details if possible
3. suggest a name for the tool
I have the ability to integrate any fastboot/adb command you can think of into the UI, with a nice animated design
but I can't do miracles such as unlocking the phone without the help of (HTCdev) or S-OFF your device, so please don't request such things

- Communicating with servers and downloading is a tricky thing, they would have to work with me for this
if I get enough help from them , I Would deferentially do it.
but at the very least I will include a guide that will tell you the exact name of the RUU/Firmware that needs to be downloaded (maybe even search for it)

Like the idea of a nice clean tool.
I haven't felt the need to root or flash yet, but as there is no s-off yet the process seems slightly more involved than it was for my old Desire, so it is a bit off putting. If there are tools that can help - will use them.

There's always one click flash tools they do a lot of what u said flashing, a useful tool would be to indicate where memory is used these devices are limited on memory biggest downfall on htcs part Imo

-A good file explorer that allows to edit files "on the fly"

I Will definitely Try to include every feature I can with time
I have a lot of reading to do, but if it is possible then I'll do it, even if not in the first release, I WILL try to include everything as future versions build up

Great idea, I initially used a toolkit when first flashing mine but it's nice to know what your actually doing to your phone and I have since learnt all the commands. So my request is to somehow show the user what your automating so they understand what's going on with their phone. Maybe like a log/command type window that can be shown or hidden for those that want to see what's happening.

Yes agree with herbie u wanted to use a toolkit but would have also benefitted from knowing the commands as something went wrong during the flash with the tool kit
