What is fast charge:
This allows one to force AC charging for any charger that is detected as USB (e.g. many car chargers) and pull the full current the charger can support. Without Fast charge, when connected to the computer or even car charger you will very low current causing the charge time to be a lot longer. With fast charge active the current is set to the max allowed (and/or safest) and charging time will reduce greatly. It also provides additional security when connecting to public charging stations because by forcing AC charging, USB/adb data transfers are disabled, protecting your data. When fast charge is active you will not be able to access your data on your device. You will need to turn fast charge off to access them. Hope this helps everyone understand it more.

Ok she is all set up! Let me know what you guys think... again for those who really don't know me I no longer own this devices so somethings will be a hit or a miss. This kernel has been confirmed by my awesome users in my Infamous ROM thread so we know it is fully functional and not experimental at this time. Yes those are screen shoots of my S3 kernel... I need a bunch of clean screen shots like these so a can replace them. If you can help please do! Thanks guys.

Work rom AOSP 4.1.2...
Sent from my table dance...

Since your rebased it and renamed it... is BLN still works ???
thanks for your works

Hey bro your download link goes to your S3 folder on Goo. May want to fix that before the flashers start mucking up their phones.

Jamison I think you need to update your download folder link. When I click it takes me to your s3 kernel folder
Sent from my Infamous Hercules.

I noticed that the download link takes me to the S3 folder for kernels. Just be careful downloading and browse to the correct folder in the T989 folder and NOT the T999 folder.

Thanks guys... duh..... I swear I changed it.... just it just didn't take when I saved. Anyways corrected the links. Thanks everyone! Also everything that working in TeamInfamous Kernel is included here. Need confirmation on fast charge. Thanks!!
Also, TW only at this point. I plan on making an AOSP/CM/AOKP kernel for you guys but it will be a different thread since it will be made for 4.2.2.

Planning to flash when changing to Tw in few Hours.

[Kernel][CM10.1/CM10][3.0.74] Skull Kernel - v1.1 (Defaultmem/Moremem) [22/4/2013]

Hello everyone. Before present anything about this kernel, first I must clarify that I'm not a kernel developer but I'm trying to learn all kernel stuff and knowledge during my free time and finally YEAH, I'M DID IT!
So I'm here proudly introduce my Skull Kernel for JellyBean which fully tested on CM10/CM10.1 by arco68. :fingers-crossed:

There are two kernel version in this thread. One for CM10, another one for CM10.1.
Upon flashing, you should know what you are doing and responsible
for anything bad happen. e.g. Hard brick, soft brick, etc.
But don't worry, I'm the one always getting kernel tested before released,
So I should get hurt first if something goes wrong.

Depend on you guys, if all need OC support I will implemented on next version.
It's already UV now
It's always great to see new custom kernels. I'd probably try this one out in its future releases as I'd like to see more changes and improvements.
P.S: The name of your kernel needs to be revised in my opinion.

Re: [Kernel][CM10][3.0.66] Skull Kernel v1.1 - 'Balance Performance & Battery Life'
If i'm not wrong it's using different title before, :what:
haha skull seems legit.
Then you should change the bootscreen with skull.
Can you add lulzactive and smartassv2 too?
Tried your kernel, gaming performance was smoother. Thanks

Please specify, I will add in if I capable to do it!
thanks you master

How to install:

Can att user use this kernel
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
It is the same source for tmo and att so should be good to go. Let me go check to make sure the blocks/partitions are the same (I think they are, just haven't made a kernel for att before so I want to be 100% sure... don't need any bricks.) I'll check and let you know.
Edit: yes you will be good.

So this is only compatible with tw 4.1.1. What about tw 4.1.2?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Yeah it will be compatible. I was thinking only of Tmo when I listed that it is only compatible with 4.1.1. I will edit it. Thanks for catching that.

Great Kernel here DEV... Been running it since last eve and all is Great even battery seems really good. Color is bright and crisp....
THANKS AGAIN ....:good:
Are there any significant upgrades in this kernel? I'm wanting better battery life.
Sent using T999 with DarthStalker ROM
Significant upgrades compared to what exactly? There are many "upgrades" and a huge amount of governors and a good amount of schedulers. I am not sure exactly what you mean but if you want a more exact on all the changes you can check out the commit history for this kernel on my git hub. Link is in the OP. Look for the project T999_TW_kernel. The kernel is only 4 days old with 70+ commits and many more coming. Also if you want to see about the amazing battery, you can check the last 10 pages of my Infamous S3 ROM thread to see the feed back from all my awesome users! Check if out and flash it. You won't look back.

Oh yeah, I flashed it already
I'm not experienced in kernels... And I flashes the OC'd v1.1, my AnTuTu score jumped about 1000 points. And I'll have to wait and see about battery life.
I also downloaded the Forced Fast Charging app and I'll play with it tomorrow.
And to be extra clear, I meant absolutely no offense or disrespect. I have a great deal of respect for all you devs who freely dedicate your time and effort into these ROMs, Kernels and projects. Being new to kernel flashing, I just wasn't sure what to "look for"... And I didn't want to miss out on anything

MINIMUM KERNEL™

This kernel is only for TW 4.1.x T-mobile/Att ROMS/devices at this time. The whole point for this kernel is to give the user the features wanted from all the other kernels but stay the closest to stock as possible. All the governors and the schedulers are stock and what was found in the source from Samsung. This Kernel is 98% stock and the only changes to the code are listed in the change log. blacknight1114 and I have been testing all night and today. Running very smooth and great battery life! Thanks buddy for giving me a hand testing! This Kernel would even make a great replacement for the stock kernel in all the TW ROMs and developers you have my permission to include it if you wish.

Sucks to know bro. These chipsets are funny.
For those that can run 2.96GHz that was the only bug so far. Those that can't run it at all, that's something we'll look into and see if we can resolve. Some just can't male it there unfortunately.

Edit to what i previously posted i guess it only happens as soon as i set the voltage to 1.2V otherwise its fine in-till benchmarking which means it just cant handle staying at those high speeds on all cores i assume?

That's what I'm trying to figure out now lol. Seems like the case. Its me and DJ's first kernel so we're still learning stuff. Weird it works fine til benchmarking. Hopefully we find a solution real soon.

yeah but the voltage is a problem too! that could be a factor that some phones cpu isn't as good. try setting your voltage to 1.2V for 3GHz and see if it crashes.

Ok I'll test it out.
Running smooth as Buddha and snappy as hell!

After a day of running it seems this kernel could be a battery killer. My battery when down much faster if I we r email to use lean kernel... hmm and yes I didn't over clock and my voltages were the ones included.

What governor were you using? Amd youre on 9005 right?
I gotta figure out why some 9005 users are seeing battery drain. I'll check it out today.
Ok, here is what I have figured out. At least with my hardware anyway. I'm using the latest version of TricksterMod and this is what I can get. I can boot up @ 3ghz with my voltage at 1.2 ONLY if I set it manually to exactly that. 1.2. If I use the incremental voltage steps it puts me at 1215. No go. It locks up and reboots. But if I manually set it to 1.2 even, it boots, and I can run Quadrant to benchmark. I have been able to successfully apply all governers with a 2.956 clock and use 2 schedulers (row and zen, so far) Seems like anything over 1.2 volts and the max clock, it locks up and reboots. Being as though no two chips are the same, somebody may get a higher voltage/clock before lock up. Who knows. Anyway, it runs great so far. Haven't had a chance to test battery life. Will post that later. I upoaded a few screenshots of my benchmarks running these freqs/voltages. So far, great work guys! This can only get better from here :good:
