Introducing codefireXperiment for your device! This OP is going to stay slim and bloat free, just like codefireXperiment. No marketing buzzwords either.
We take such confidence in the speed and performance of this distribution, we challenge you to find a faster and more stable one!
Warning: we only support anykernel methods of custom kernel installation.
Here's a bit of info you may want on this project for how we do things differently:
CLICK HERE to find out more about the new team working on this project since our TeamEOS merger.
No features you don't need which slow the device down, or put your data at risk of being stolen. If you want to give it away, it should be your decision.
A fast and clean install with no UX decisions made for you. You make the ROM whatever you would like.
A team constantly exploring totally new feature sets and optimizations geared toward you, the user
We utilize a plethora of optimizations in a build system unlike any other:
- Each build has a toolchain built for your device at the time of build. No more generic toolchain android builds.
- Consistently updated upstream toolchain module source with our custom backports, fixes, and optimizations applied in a patch at build time.
- Fully built utilizing Link Time Optimization (another custom ROM first). Feel free to google this one a bit to get an idea of the performance gain.
- Many repositories have code fixes, cleanups, and many minor optimizations which are too generous to even speak of here.
- Optimizations are toggled on and off based on device for the best experience we can acheive for your device without sacrificing any stability
- Many Qcom optimizations and AOSP master (upstream) optimizations and fixes using device specifications to determine usage.
- Fully built utilizing strict aliasing and isognu++11 mode.
- Full "-O3" build. To those who don't know, this is the highest "optimization level" available in gcc that sets many other flags.

camcorder works you need to reboot phone to get camcorder working and use 3rd party apps like set cpu

By press buildnumber you open devtools, its like pure aosp there no performance sets, even in pa,try performance control, its best for such settings.

UPDATED 2/1/2011 [ROM] [Sense 2.2.1 Froyo] ChocolateFroyo v1.0-rel2 - Go Sense

THIS ROM IS NOT SUPPORTED ANYMORE FOR AN UNDETERMINED PERIOD OF TIME.
This is a 2.2 Sense ROM. Unfortunately, it still has two bugs, but even so it is usable, stable and fast.
ATTENTION! For those who already have 1.0-rel1 flashed, make sure you backup your data because flashing the ROM will wipe data even if you don't do it from recovery.
Note: There will be no other update until the Camera is fixed. Also, don't expect any updates in the next 1-2 weeks.
See post #2 for changelog and critical information.

What does not work:
- Camera
- Bluetooth audio WITH SOME DEVICES
Just so you know, I'm working hard to fix those issues, so don't panic, this will be updated soon. You might help me find other bugs if you test it. I can guarantee that if you don't need the camera, this ROM can work as an everyday ROM just fine.
What works:
- flash 10
- EXT-A2SD
- Calls, SMS, MMS
- Internet 2G/3G
- WiFi
- GPS/AGPS
- OpenGL
- lights
- accelerometer, sensors
- wired/wireless tethering
... everything else
+ Teeter - I've packed it so you can have a bit of fun?
Instructions:
Flash it and make a cup of coffee because the first boot takes AGES. Don't panic, it will eventually start ).
The custom kernel included is compiled from Erasmux's FlyKernel 12a. I've just enabled my dual-governor configuration and made the changes required by that. Nothing much, so credits to him.
Credits also go to the CDMA Hero devs which made this in the first place.

READ!!!
1.0-rel2
- fixed lights
- cleaned system - boots faster, runs smoother
- adjusted dalvik heapsize
- added custom kernel with dual-governor configuration(read below for more info)
1.0-rel1
Initial release
About the Dual-Governor configuration:
The default settings are: 352/691 ondemand screenon, 176/352 conservative screen off. This way the battery is conserved while the performance is at its best when you need it. If your phone can't run @691MHz, all you have to do is download the attached file, unzip it, and edit it as following:
echo 691200 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
Click to collapse
This line tells the kernel what's the max frequency when the screen is on. Here you can edit with one of the following values:
518400
576000
614400
633600
652800
672000
691200
Click to collapse
After you edit it accordingly, save it and push the file to /system/etc/init.d:
adb remount
adb push 90governor /system/etc/init.d
adb reboot
Click to collapse
Now you're good to go!
F**k yeah!
Please man, try to fix the camera
That's what I'm doing, don't panic.
No problem m8 , I won't
Could you guys post linpack and neocore results?
Does the old style Apps2SD work in this (the one with an EXT partition)?
No, it does not, even though I've included it.
What a pity Is there a way to fix it?
Go for it RaduG!
Running CE 2.0 for ages!
Thanks.
you're a good guy Radu, I'm so happy to see you back to work on the hero
This will be a lot of fun!

BT audio works on Sengle, if that helps you somehow.
About the camera I really have no ideas, to solve it on ASOP/CM they needed to backport the camera interface from eclair - something you can't do on Sense cause you don't have sources. This is what made me give up.
I really hope you can get this working, because I think no one else is working on these issues.
Good luck.
Thanks for the A2DP tip
As for the camera, I've got to the point where the image is clear, but it does not refresh(although it doesn't behave like that with the uploaded version). So I'm pretty confident that with a bit of work I will fix it eventually.
I hope you don't mind that I'm using your kernel.

Is there a difference between this rom and these: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=838730
I guess yes , but what makes this rom different?
Is this ROM Legend port?
Aw, crap. I just posted how stable and good (perfect) Floyo 1.2.0 was and now you went and released yours, lol.
Back-up and here I come.
I'm going to backup to my sd card and save it and start fresh with a new card. Hopefully that way I can restore quicker and without any hicups.
Thanks RaduG
@GZFan
I don't know how that ROM works, but from the description I can tell you that the GPS is not working there. Otherwise I have no idea, as I haven't tried it.
@tomekk_nt
It's an Aria/Legend/Hero hybrid.
Anyone can port sense hd from desire hd or it is impossible?

RaduG is building it, the man behind vanillaEclair 4 (still imho the most flawless and responsive rom for the hero, old though it may be), vanillaEclair 5 (newer sourcecode than ve4, better than the other roms based on those same sources, not quite as good as ve4 though on my particular phone), and chocolateEclair 2 (a wonderful 2.1 sense rom that many feel is best of breed on the hero). He knows how to assemble and mess with the code in hero android roms exceptionally well and has a longer success rate with single-handed rom creation on the gsm hero than anyone else that I'm aware of.
This is all just my personal opinion and experience; I don't actually know the guy (hey Radu ;-)
Aside from that, literal differences are that he's building it himself based on some cdma stuff so will be undoubtedly bringing in different sources, and probably difference bits of sense executable stuff, to try and get things like camera working. Oh yea, and as noted he's actually working on this rom actively where the rom you linked to was great but is now abandoned due to a feature implementation stalemate and work on other time-consuming exciting projects by the same developer.

This is a slightly modified kernel based off of cm's new d851 kernel rebase: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_lge_g3/tree/cm-13.0
I wanted to build something that's basic and reliable. If you're looking for a highly modified kernel I recommend Eliminater74's Nebula Kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/kernel-nebulakernel-rev6-5-build20150715-t3161768
INSTALLATION
-------------------------
1. Make sure you know what your doing. If you're a noob then don't install this. I will not answer questions on how to install or fix your phone if you mess it up. Always backup first!
2. boot up into recovery.
3. flash the kernel zipped file.
4. Wipe cache.
5. Reboot.

cm-Resurrection_Remix_LP_v5.3.1-20150122-d851.zip
Just installed stable and going to see what happens.
Stable is smooth and fast, great battery life.
Thanks to tootsiepop kernel and its author.
Currently running BlissPop 1/22 build with the experimental kernel. Flashed this morning before work so I haven't used my phone much since I flashed. I also have not had a chance to browse the thread regarding my issues. So for now....
First Impression - Smoooooth and quick just like Bliss should be.
Issue 1 - I had one kernel panic "BSOD" right before work. At the time I was playing with the Walkman music player port, which has been giving me issues. So it may have nothing to do with the ROM or kernel.
Issue 2 - my lg headset connects, but no music plays through the earphones.
Overall - VERY NICE WORK. No complaints at all, because I believe my issues are either my own fault or a CM issue.
Thanks for the upload aclegg
The stable and test kernel has been updated. Now on the test kernel we're testing the multirom patch. Remember to download the stable kernel in case the test kernel crashes!
I implemented the kexec patch in the new test build, but multirom says its not in the kernel. It could be because the kernel optimization levels are too high. Would you want to sacrifice smoothness for multirom support? I was able to get multirom working using a kitkat ROM as my primary with the skin kernel. And bliss pop is running with the speedy kernel as the second ROM just fine.

I'm might not support multirom. The whole point of this kernel is to increase optimization without losing stability. Stripping out the optimizations just to add multirom would contradict why I decided to work on this kernel to begin with.

What is CAF?
CAF stands for Code Aurora Forum. Qualcomm releases stock AOSP android with optimisations for their chipsets periodically on CAF.
Based off latest Qualcomm sources from tag LA.UM.5.8.r1-00400-8x98.0 (msm 8998).

Changelog:
* OSS Camera HAL (CAF tag LA.BF.1.1.3_rb1.15)
* Native Video recording without Hack (More details in below para)
* Dirac Sound
* Rootless Substratum support
* Tons of bug fixes
A note on video recording:
In android nougat, google split up mediaserver into several components to enhance security since the discovery of stagefright security bugs. As a result, the video recording and encoding, which were done on same process are now done on seperate process. So, this required changes to camera HAL. Since most of the devices do not have camera HAL sources, so they had no way but to revert android's security measures to make video recording work (hence the video recording hack was introduced).
As i said earlier, I didnt wanted to revert the security steps taken by google so i decided to take up another project here.
So now, i'd like to announce that I have successfully prepared open source camera HAL.
Yes, you read it right.. open source camera HAL for our very own cancro.
Since now we have open source camera, I have upgraded the HAL to support the new recording method introduced in android nougat (credits to @ashwin007 for his backport commits). This means, no security hack has been used in this ROM.
And as an added benefit, now we have more options and ways to fine tune our camera due to OSS.
Test as much features of camera as u can. Feedback is welcome.

Yet another reserved.
Been using this ROM on my MI 4 for past 12 hours and here are my findings
There are no groundbreaking bugs as is and it can definitely be used as a daily driver.
As mentioned by the OP, video recording does not work but if you download a custom camera app from play store (I tried Footrej).. It seems to work properly. I haven't tried with other apps though. But the camera is still horrible. It is not able to focus properly and there's also a lot of noise.
Clock app FC can be fixed by downloading the Clock app by Google from Play Store and disabling the system one as both are exactly the same but there won't be any FCs in the Play Store one
Performance wise it's pretty decent, though it does hang sometimes here and there. But considering this is literally the first ROM for Nougat for cancro, it's excellent! (I wish there was a x.75 speed for animations *sigh*)
Battery life is also okay-ish. I won't say it's the best but it's not terrible either.
As for other stuff, there is a lot of delay when waking up device through dt2w or s2w. You might wanna look into that. And as already recognized by the OP, the backlight is not working though I hadn't really noticed it before others pointed it out.
P.S. Suggestions in Settings are damn annoying! Is there any way to disable them?

Hi guys, this is stock Android, also known as the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
Welcome to the cleanest rom of them all. This project is a collaboration with @updateing and a continuation of his 7.0 builds.
Our goal is to provide the most solid taste of Nougat we can possibly give you. We may run into problems that we will not be able to fix because this is AOSP with necessary changes to build/boot the rom.
Current Known Bugs:
- Your recovery might be replaced with stock recovery (just reflash your recovery)
Current Fixed Bugs:
- Hardware buttons light up
- AUX problems have been fixed
- Tethering issues have been fixed

Notes on the sources:
local manifest
- Some fixes are really "dirty" (as I'm not able to find a proper way)...
- Some JNIs fail to build (lots of C++ symbols no found). You may try linking C++ libs dynamically (c++_static -> c++_shared) to avoid this. See 20160828 patches, packages/inputmethods/LatinIME for example.
- Some apps require android-8 ndk, but the earliest version in the tree is android-9. A symlink will do (or you can change the Android.mk in app) but I'm not really sure this will not introduce any bug.
- Android N split mediaserver into multiple processes to improve security, such as cameraserver, mediacodec, etc. But camera blobs and old HALs were not designed like this. They assume they run in the same process, thus a buffer created by blobs are being used everywhere, which will cause illegal memory access under Android N. I reverted lots of patches about this, forcing camera and codec services to run in the mediaserver process as before - security compromised with functionality, again.

Thanks man, I love your work.
:good:
Does flashing root save the recovery? Thanks for this build for our old bacon.
Everybody just delete recovery from boot in system after flashing and before booting up if you're recovery is wiped.
Looking forward for the build with the camera fix. :good::good:

Next build should have camera fixed. Current build is missing a commit that I missed when pushing the changes to GitHub.

Hahaha, kwoktopus, relax and a double thumbs up for a good job in both your ROMs, that guy has been impatient here and also in your thread over at forums OnePlus one.
Edit: this guy has been spamming in the other threads too. Same question about 7.1 . He's asking to be banned??!
Is root included or do we need to flash along with ROM

Android Open Source Project on Cannon
Android is an open source operating system for mobile devices and a corresponding open source project led by Google. The aim of this project is to provide AOSP without the Google Apps with basic functionality with minimal additions to the source, hence giving more privacy and performance. All of the apps shipped by default are Open Source. Only proprietary parts are the device specific binaries, which are needed for the device functionality.
This project uses a modular overlayed build system that allows UX improvements without actually touching the AOSP source code. This also implies that this has an upgradeable build system leading to faster updates.
Features:
Android 12L (12.1)
No google apps
GrapheneOS Camera
Chromium browser
Inter font as the default System font
Clean Pure AOSP UI
Launcher without the ugly quicksearchbox on home
Double tap to sleep on Launcher
Microphone and Camera disabling Quick toggles
As this project aims to be Google free, safetynet and Google Apps support are not explicitly available. But you can still achieve them using third party softwares such Magisk and flashable GApps.
If you are looking for a ROM with GApps out of the box, you can head over to my StatiX thread and download StatiX for Cannon.
There are two types of builds available to flash:
cannon-user-xxx-xxx.zip: These builds are built with daily usability and minimal modding functionality in mind. They are production builds with minimal debugging (user builds).
cannon-userdebug-xxx-xxx.zip: These builds are more focused towards the modders, with adb root functionality and more debugging features than the user builds.
Use ones that you'd prefer.
Reporting Bugs:
AOSP on Cannon Organistation on github has a bugtracker. Please follow the README and attach the bugs there, makes it easier for me to keep a track of the bugs and fixes that been applied over the course of this project.

Oh that's because the lack of webview, it will be fixed with next update (should be out by day after tomorrow, when the new security patch drops).

Hi m_vaisakh, thank you for your work.
I've noticed that in dynamic_partitions_op_list, the system partition size was reduced from 4196089856 to 982274048 in the 3rd release. This makes me difficult to install gapps. Could you please fix it ?

Hi it's working for cannong global ?
This project has been discontinued and will no longer receive any updates or support from my side. You can still compile it from source yourself, everything is open source and available on the official AOSP on Cannon GitHub.
