I am looking for some bluetooth headphones that work with the Moto X's great touchless features. I really want controls for music as well. Any ideas?

I have used several bluetooth headsets till now ranging from samsung, motorola and lg. Samsung is terrible, Motorola build quality is good but poor sound and uncomfortable atleast for me, i saw new motorola ones in motox website i havent tried those yet(i only used s series) and lg is by far the best i am using hbs 700 for about one and half year now still rock steady. I usually get about 10 hours of talktime till this date. Sound quality is ok. There is a new version hbs 730 which i havent tried(may be incremental update) . My suggestion is go with lg ones check reviews on amazon for $40 bucks you wont go wrong. I just got jaybirds bluebuds x which is pricey got for about $130. Sound quality is good but havent used much

I've had a bunch of different brands, the best hands down have been the Jaybird Bluebuds X. Excellent sound and fit. You wont go wrong.
http://www.amazon.com/JayBird-BlueBuds-Sport-Bluetooth-Headphones/dp/B00AIRUOI8/ref=sr_sp-atf_title_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1382965502&sr=8-2&keywords=jaybird+bluebuds+x

I second the Jaybird Bluebuds X. But it also depends on what you are using them for. If you frequent the gym, then the Jaybirds are your best bet.
If you do not use them at the gym, my favorite headphones and most comfortable have been the LG Tone. Motorola makes their own version that is similar to the Tone:
http://www.motorola.com/us/accessor...less-Headphones/Buds-Wireless-Headphones.html
but i cannot attest to how good they are.

Jaybird hands down! Been using it for a year on both Nexus 4 and MOTO X, great sound quality and best running earbud. I got it when it was on sale, around $110. Pricey indeed, but worth every penny.

I have the LG tones and they are great. Sound is awesome and battery life is pretty good as well.

okay to use running?

Will these fall off when you're running? If no - then I'm definitely going to have to pick a pair of these up!

I have the Bluebird Jaybuds X and use them everyday at the gym with my moto x. Great headphones. Would definitly recommend them if you can justify the price for what you are going to use them for.

[Q] Stereo Bluetooth Jabra HALO vs Rocketfish RF-MAB2

Hello,
I am planning to buy a stereo bt headset to use with phone and computer. I am having Jabra HALO and Rocket fish RF-MAB2 as my options. Any one have experience with one of these how is the quality and durability?
BTW I am considering Jabra because they are cheap today at http://mobile.dailysteals.com/ for just 25 + some shipping, But are they any good? how is the audio quality of Rocketfish. I am fine with not good looks but I really want good audio quality...so any insight on this would be great also please suggest me if there are any options around $60-$70 price tag..
thanks!
Jabra BT3030 is another option if you want to use your own headphones.
I am not to sure about price range , but I can tell you I bought motorola 's S9HD about 20 months ago , best purchase ever and eventhe mic quality is decent I dont get complaints eventho its obvious Im using a headset ,but for music the sound quality is just GREAT (battery life to! )
I bought mine on eBay with no box cost me around 100$ shippe to Canada ( almost 2 yrs ago), dont forget to get the HD one , not the regular one , it really is worth every penny .
I have the rocketfish....
but it all depends on what your going to use it for.
for everyday stuff the motorola is nice. very good quality from what i heard.
but if you are going to be working out and have sweat and rain than i suggest the rocketfish. it doesnt say its waterproof but it takes a better beating than the motorola.
but on the jabra im not sure.
the rocketfish isnt superior in sound but its good and when talking the person on the other side cant seem to tell that its a headset. ^^
hope that helps

Hey thanks guys....that helps a lot. To be honest I am looking for a headphone with excellent audio quality in budget..and mostly I will be using it while traveling only. Also I dont mind the mic call quality..actually I was thinking of some good wired phones like bose without mic but then I realized that third party phones dont always work good with excellent custom ROMs that are out here..and I just noticed that motorola's headphones comes with BT adapter for iPod which is good addition! but all I really care about is audio quality..so I guess moto is good right ??? or any other good options out there.. as it is I will be buying around thanksgiving so right now exploring the options and once decided I will hunt for deals
I bought the S9 (not HD) from Moto last year on Amazon for $29 - sound great for the price. I use them when working out, but otherwise i liked the wired earbuds.
I have the Rocketfish and i love them! Previously i had the Motorola s9-HD and they hurt my ears because they went in the ear. The Rocketfish rest against the ear like the old school sony headphones that wrapped around the head.
I recommend the Sony Ericsson Mw600.
Most flexible BT headset as you can plug in your own headphones. Alsp has a FM radio to boot.
Definitely worth the investment
Hi waghoba - Did you end up with the Jabra BT-650? I was looking at them after you had made your inquirey on that discount site. I started seeing what kind of reviews I could find. By the time I got around to deciding I'd give them a try they were sold out.

Same here. When I decided to buy them, they were sold out. Now I am looking for new deals on some good headphones. Although I was looking for Bluetooth headsets, many people suggested me to buy wired ones for good audio quality.

Bose Bluetooth Headset

Holy crap $150 for a bluetooth headset??? Yet another cheaply made, low quality overpriced turd from the marketing wizards over at Bose.

Well the original Jawbone was $120 or $130 when first released. Can't complain if it really works. The Jawbone was and still is the best bluetooth released to date IMO. Well worth every penny. I purchased 3 of them. Only downside was the design wasn't the best fitting but the sound was perfect.

Jawbone not necessarily the best anymore either...
agreed; that honor now goes to plantronics voyage pro plus...simply 5 ****
in every area, except style...
best sound, best comfort, best multipoint/a2dp, "stereo" sound through a single earpiece, longest battery life, and everything else.
I think after owning at least 25 bt headsets, I can say with confidence that this is the winner!
and, if you look carefully, you can grab it for 69 bucks or so!
Voyager pro plus, nice headset but hurts my ear and royally sucks with glasses.... I hear they are releasing the same thing in a bud style. M1100 or something.

I was talking about the first Jawbone. I didn't care for the Jawbone 2. I do own & like the Icon but the first model is still tops in my book. Still have 2 of those laying around, just got tired of ordering ear loops for them. They break too easily plus they get very uncomfortable. The design wasn't all that great but it gave me the best sound of any Bluetooth I've used to date.

yeah, I could see that some glass frames would be a bit of a problem..
I saw the earbud model as well; I think its on CNET or somewhere like that...
does it hurt your ear because of your glasses, or for some other reason?
I can wear this thing for 8 hours with no discomfort what so ever, and I hate things in my ears..

The glasses, yes, caused too many issues plus, I guess I have odd ears because the rubber loop and bulk behind my ear caused too much pressure and annoyance. (and pulled my ear out like dumbo)
I have to have custom ear molds done for headsets and can only use my right ear.
Side note....
If you've never done a custom ear mold, you haven't really experienced perfection! Even with your pro plus. My audiologist does mine usually but I've ordered from http://www.averysound.com before too.
yeah, I have heard that the custom ear molds are the way to go..expensive, but great if you need them..
I have the bose, it's my 2nd favorite. 1st place goes to the new Motorola oasis. Still looking for the perfect BT. Both the bose and Oasis sound good to people on the other end. THe bose sounds better than the motorola oasis on my end. The Oasis is just so comfortable, the best feeling BT yet. I've tried 30+ different models and those 2 are the best. I'll try that plantronics pro next. A friend of mine who has used BT for years as well, says the Sound ID is his favorite. Anybody else tried them? The bose should have a2dp for $150 but it doesnt, that sucks.
sound ID is overpriced and worthless; no mac support, and only firmware up dateable on 32 bit windows machines..plus, only average sound quality, just overpriced, and targeted to iphone users...

he's using an iPhone so maybe that is why. I know he had tried all the expensive motoroalas, platronics, blueant etc and likes the S ID the best. Must be an iphone thing..
jaybird is releasing a third version of their freedom headphones next year. i will be willing to sacrifice top notch quality for a nice set of stereo BT headsets

My biggest complaint with bluetooth headsets is the sound. None of them are loud enough. Someone needs to make a weather proof, loud headset for construction workers.

I have a few BT's as far as sound quality goes the Bose works the best IMHO, it is comfortable for me, now is it worth 150 ... Thats up to you. I concure the lack of a2dp is a huge bummer. Try it out for 14 days, Best Buy will let you return it, at least they always let me.
I have the Bose Bluetooth. It works well with my Samsung Captivate (Android 2.2), but it will not play music via Music Player. Can't seem to get it to pair to the music player.
And I've discovered why, on the Bose site itself:Can I listen to music on my mobile phone with the Bose Bluetooth headset?
No. The Bose Bluetooth headset was designed as a communications device. It was not designed to receive stereo music from a phone or PC.

Suggest a good bluetooth stereo headset.!!

Ok am looking for a good bluetooth stereo headset for listening to music while cycling. So the headset must be sweatproof. And the main quality am looking for is the music quality as i dont bother about voice clarity of calls or the styling or anything.
The ones i am considering right now are :
1. Motorola S10-hd
2. Platronics backbeat 903+
3. LG HBS-700
I havent tried out any. So if any of you have. Please suggest which one of these gives best music quality. And also suggest any other which are sweatproof that have good music quality.
I use the HBH-DS220 - they're sold on Amazon at a very low price (22GBP or so) and the earbuds can be replaced for about 4GBP. Sound quality is just ok, but it's great for the gym because the BT receiver is very small. Also, not officially sweat-proof, but my first set is still working and replacements are cheap.
I use nokia BH 103.
Good sound quality
Never had compatibility issues with any of the bluetooth phones.
Amazing battery life. Its around 2 years old now and works great.

i have one MH BTS-P OE BK of Monster,it's really nice for me
maybe you can see this web iamorangeshop.com.they have a lot headphone and the custom service is helpful.
the best thing is good quality and best price
Since you need the headset when sporting, it should be small in size. As for sound quality, I can't really tell, it all sounds similar. Anyway, you can check it here: http://www.dragonext.com/cellphone/bluetooth-device/headset-earphone-handsfree.html
Like you I too am a cyclist and am after a bluetooth stereo headset.
So far the one I am looking at is the Sony MW600.
Here: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/features/mw600?cc=gb&lc=en
I've went through a few pairs of "compact" bluetooth headphones. Logitech, Motorola, Monster, you name it.
Honestly, they all turned to be lacking in the sound department. On a whim I bought cheap jWin JBTH710 headphones. They're a bit on the bulky side and you'll look strange wearing them, but for around $30.00 you'll get sound that competes and beats the brand names in the $100 mark. I paired them with a 3.5mm audio bluetooth dongle and with my phones without any problem, the battery will outlast any smartphone too...

I do a 50 mile ride a few times a week and love these. I sweat profusely and haven't broken them yet. You do have to mess around with the different ear pieces to get the right fit.
I have had good luck so far with a jawbone earpiece used the same one for 3 years and still no problems it has great noise canceling and good sound.

Among items you listed above, I would like to go with the Motorola S10-hd. Design is truly awesome, and it's also sweat proof. But you have to wear over your head.(I don't like that. ) You also can compare and review other a little simpler handsets here, http://www.shopsimple.com/ks-sweatproof-bluetooth-stereo-headset.html I got a S85 over there. Pretty nice.
motorola S9HD's
I found them better and a tad more comfortable than the S10's I tried

best ones i used so far after Motorola S9 and Motorola HT820s and some plantronics which broke in 3 months.

Which Stereo BlueTooth headset has the best sound and best funtionality

Hi guys,
so my $80 skull candy ear buds have been lost or stolen, and i was thinking of getting a nice Stereo BT headset for when im working and shredding the slopes. I was looking at the LG HBS-700, but i know there is a lot more out there. Which one has the best sound (good highs, mids and really nice lows) and is the most functional. Would be nice to also be able to make and receive calls and prefer ear buds, but i am open to whatever really
I appreciate the time guys. cheers!
the Motorola ones, i like the new ATV
but the old HT810 was really good

I have used the Sony hbh-ds970 & the Sony hbh-ds980 for about 4 years with great Success. I like the style the Sound for music and voice, The oled display with caller Id. Best of all is the durability. I have worn them everyday. They where expensive but worth it if you use them a lot.

how is the bass on all of the suggested headsets?
I have the LG HBS-700 and they are great. They do not give much bass but I mostly use them for audio books and some Pandora and calls when driving. The thing I like most is the way they fit, unlike most others BT Head sets they are comfortable and for $50 they are a deal. If your looking for major bass then these are not for you. In addition they give great call quality.
For double the price my father in law has a jaybird headset and swears by them. The only thing is because of the design they are easy to loose becuase you forget you have them on when not in your ears. He learned that the hard way, they fell in the fire when we went camping and didn't know till the next morning when we saw charred pieces in the fire pit. At that point he only had them for a week.
Bass send good to me on the jaybird but I should tell you that I I'm 46 and have some hearing loss from the time I spent in the military...
If you have a best buy near you which has a set in stock you could buy them, try them and return them if you don't like them.
...I have a set of less expensive skull candy wired headphones and I think they produce a bit more bass...
Using tapatalk on my Galaxy 2 to post this!
I personally do not like Bluetooth headsets for music Idk just really don't like them. But if you are looking for some really great headphones that are wired try Radio Shack and look for PointMobile headphones personally, there better then the Skullcandy Fmj and 50/50 combined and for only 30 its a steal.

I use bluetooth headphones exclusively as I don't like wires...
Have been using the Motorola S305 for the gym for a good 3+ years now. Fit really well, light, excellent battery life and solid BT range. Only concern is they're not as compact as the below headsets, so I only use them at the gym.
Jaybird Freedom's I use on my public transit commute to work. Don't stay on particularly well, even with their new rubber seals, but since I'm just sitting there with minimal motion they're fine. Poor battery life, maybe 3-4 hours per full charge and the range is short (<5 feet). I like the useful playback controls and volume buttons, however.
Outdoor Technology Tags are, in most areas, an improvement on the Jaybirds, but the cord is so darned long and the bright red is too flashy for my tastes. They fit remarkably well, seeing how similar they are designed compared to the Jaybirds. Battery life is also a bit longer than the Jaybirds.
I use the motorola S9-HD, I tried the nwer S10-HD - I wasn't impress with the bass,

Sennheiser cx 275s (For comfort )
JBL Yurbuds - Inspire 300 (If you have an active lifestyle ref. Gymming, running etc)
Supposedly the Cowon EM 1 (Value for money !) and the Soundmagic 10Es are also really good, look into your end use and budget before deciding
Xiaomi Piston v3 headphones are awesome, you can get them from various places for $20 plus postage.
The middle button will definitely work with the Moto X, I'm not sure about the volume up/down buttons though.
Forte Audio Life S sound fantastic. I also like the Soundmagic mentioned above as well as Brainwavz.

I like my SkullCandy Titans better than any earbud I've ever tried. They run $50-60 usually, I've seen them on sale for $40, but I picked mine up at Marshall's for $20...so I would imagine eBay etc. could be cheaper or about the same at $20. The mic works great, I was even talking through them while riding a motorcycle on one or two occasions...

I picked up a set of the Inspire headphones today. $20 at Ross and they sound great. The volume up and down switches don't seem to work but I can skip to the next track with a double click on the on/off/answer-call switch.
Tons of bass so I use the Brilliant Treble setting in the equalizer for now.
Thank you for the suggestion.
