New Evo rugged extended Seidio possible in the works?

Thought give you guys a heads up on this I took the rugged case and cut the rear out for the kickstand and left off the hard plastic skeleton peice due to the fact the middle clamps didn't wrap around fully due the bulge of 3500 extended battery. And the fact it would work on the bumper protection but started tearing the corner on the bumper cover. Also would loose the ability of the kickstand as well, so I cut the bumper out for kickstand and combined with 1/2 faceplate for protection around the front screen under the bumper work alright for now. Now I hit the web googling for extended cover case and came across a board called getsastification.com apparently that seidio is a part of, there they state some customers are unhappy with the crap protection from not having full protection on the phone. Staff reports rugged extended case in the works, suggest contact them comments on additional support please visit and let them know how much the additonal protection matters. I suggested even different colors instead just basic black would be a nice addition. Thanks for viewing of the post!!!
Ummm...
where r the pics?
sent from my EVO
Pictures of the new case or my pictures of my modified case. If about the new seidio case extended their are none yet as to why I stated that it there working on the new case. If this helps since I can't post links yet, google the terms evo extended battery case and getsatsfication.com and the post will pop straight up. Now concerning pictures of my mod case for the phone I can put up some pictures if you all like me to might need some how to attach to this post since not very good and attachments yet?
Fyi, I was just on the seidio website and they have an extended rugged case, with no pictures yet, listed in the online store as coming soon.

Dang and I have been blowing money on trying to find a good case with the Chinese batteries... Time to get a Seidio.
I am glad the extend rugged in on their own website now to lend credit to my post. For sure their staff reads these boards to see what kind of feedback on their products gets. To see what their description of the rugged skeleton case is what I thought, just like their regular extended case minus the active case as I thought. Was really hoping they bring forth a new case design like the active cases with pass through for the battery and the silicon bumper would go over that. Then with the kickstand could be access through hole in the back with open slot and pull on tab like they have for the camera. But as stated on their website **Kickstand is not accessible when cover and exoskeleton applied**. They could have put a slot just like they did for the camera, come on Seidio that is one of many reasons that people have purchased the Evo to use as a micro media center. Then additional they what to still use that original extended cover at the fact when one uses their Evo with the kickstand there is still no protection around bottom and top of the Evo for additonal protection. They could listen to most customers wanting a full case bumper for all around protection. Not meaning to rant, I really like what Seidio products can do and helps for some protection. Feel enough support from one concentration post could help produce a better product for everyone that needs it.
I wonder if I can convince Seidio to sell me the back cover only saying mine broke and I didn't have a receipt. I have the Yoobao and eBay batteries. I really do want a legit case for it.

otterbox commuter

Does the Otterbox Commuter series for the atrix have a screen protector like the defender? or should i get some stickers for that?
Yes it comes with one..
The Commuter does come with a screen protector. But if by "like the defender" you mean it is built into the case (adding increased protection from dust), then no. Its a separate screen protector, and I dont use the.
I bought a SkinTech before the InvisibleSHIELD was out, I recommend either.
yes, only the part of the screen is protected, the front camera and the buttons are not protected

Are the SkinTech and InvisibleSHIELD protectors something that I apply to the phone...AND THEN slip my phone case over? I've read that the InvisibleSHIELDs by Zagg don't fit very well on the Atrix, nor are they "invisible".

Correct, apply the screen protector before the commuter. Hours, maybe a day before. No need for "full body screen protector" zagg, front is good enough since the rest of the phone the Commuter will cover. You wont have any problems putting the Commuter over the Zagg on the Atrix. (the iPad is a dif story).
Im guessing what you read "doesnt fit well" is the full body protection zagg. The OB will even cover all the edges of the screen protector making it look seamless. Not only does the screen protector add, um, protection. But it IS invisible and also resists glare. Sorry for spelling.

U may wanna check on that again son cause I just got both a new Atrix n a commuter box and the screen protector does covers the buttons at the bottom,
Otterbox Commuter
I have been browsing around for a case for my new Atrix but most of the cases I have found don't seem like they do much in the way of actual protection if they are dropped. The Otterbox however does seem like it could protect from damage quite well, however I'm a little concerned with the size. If anyone could please let know how much weight and size is added to the phone that would be excellent. Or if you think there is a better case that can protect my phone, could you please link it for me?
Thanks in advance
I just purchased the Otterbox Commuter case and I have to say its probably your best bet if you want a good amount of protection as well as not too much bulk added to your phone. It's the perfect balance between the two imo.
You should just go to the store and try it out. Every store I went to they opened the box for me and let me test it out lol.
I'd have to agree, as far as protection goes, Otterbox can't be beat.
But which store did you go to that they had them in stock? I can only find them online and I've always wanted to try the commuter out. I use the Defender but it can be a little too much sometimes.

I've seen them at At&t&T stores, Best Buy, and Sam's Club.
Let me say that the Commuter is the best case i have ever owned. It makes the phone feel absolutely amazing in the hand and offers great protection without the bulk. I had the incipio feather before this and it just wasn't enough so i made the switch and couldn't be happier
Agreed! I've used the Defender, Impact, and Commuter cases for the Atrix, and I like the Commuter case the best.
The Defender case offers a lot of protection but is too big for my use.
The Impact is a silicon case that fits well but didn't really grip tight onto the device (so it tends to peal off more easily than most cases).
The Commuter case, on the other hand, is very slim compared to the other two cases. The combination of the silicone and hard plastic shell makes it comfortable to hold too.

Okay, it sounds like it's a really good case! I'll have to call my BB stores and see if they have any in stock to let me try on before I go and buy one. The ATT store only had Defender Cases, which looked pretty bulky and were $50 there.
Thanks for the responses
If you live in Canada then you can check out WirelessWave, PhoneBooth, even the Bell stores. All three allowed me to try out each variant (Impact, Commuter, Defender).
I first bought a seidio active combo case ( comes with case plus holster ) but then i was able to get the commuter for $19.95. It is a great case and another plus is that it fits into the holster from siedio with no issues.
can anyone confirm if the commuter case will work with the HD dock without the plate on the dock?
Not from I read....I had the Defender for a week and ended up getting the Seidio Surfacehttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004TA9AG2/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B004TA9AGC&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1NY2FH8N4JQ374T8WGT8 with the holster. I also put the anti-glare screen protector on mainly because it resists fingerprints.
I am currently using the commuter case on my Atrix. The screen protector covers the bottom buttons but stops at the motorola words up top. The case itself fits perfectly(been 4 months and no noticeable difference). It is tight and snug and easy to put on. The screen protector is very nice and retains small amounts of finger prints.

Commuter case will not work with any dock because of the flaps. Cut the flaps off and maybe it'll work with the plate off

iface case

Just want to share a review of this case which i bought and have used for 1-2 weeks.
just a bit of background about why I chose this case.
I was looking for a tough case and find that the otterbox or casemate tough do not fit what I am looking for.
i had a otterbox commuter case for my HTC HD2 and the polycarbonate break easily around the edges where the ports are... i really want something that is rubber around the edges instead of plastic (I bought the defender case in the as replacement and that's exactly how it was.)
Unfortunately, the defender case is not available for the SGS2.
I have gone though 2 sgp cases and the neo hybrid breaks easily around audio port/ extra hole at the top right. and so my hunt for a tough case started.
so about this case.
This case does adds considerable size to the SGS2. it adds about an inch at the top and bottom of the phone and about 1cm at the sides however do take note that these extra additions are all of rubber material so your phone is really protected well against drops and bumps.
This is how the case itself looks like and its thickness relative to the phone.
the way the case is designed is like a 'hole dug in the middle of a brick'. and the phone fills perfectly into the hole and is now protected by the case.
The case is also ergonomic designed to be used for games when using the phone in the horizontal position.
the 2 pictures below are what the phone now looks like with the case.
Pros:
-Fully protected by rubber around the phone and therefore protects well against accidental drops and bumps.
-Feels good and have a better grip when I play games now on my SGS2
-Has different colours available as compared to casemate tough and otterbox commuter
Cons:
-The increase in size and thickness of the phone is not something that everyone will like.
-Due to the extra inch, I can only use a USB cable to charge my phone and therefore eliminating the use of sync stands like Zenis. My L shape earphones still fit into the audio port without an issue.
Conclusion for this case
I really like the case and it fits what I am looking for in a case that is able to protect my phone well and not look dull.
I would give it 4/5 for the case and it cost around USD27 excluding postage from Korea.
For guys who are interested, you can check out this link: scroll to the part where a video is embedded and see the case being subjected to drop test.

screen outward facing belt clip case

I have spent 20+ hours trying to find a belt clip case offering moderate to extreme protection that allows the screen to face outward and have not been able to find a single case that meets my criteria.
I have dismissed the Otterbox Defender & Griffin Survivor because of their built in screen protectors and the Rokbed v3 because of the belt clip.
I found several inexpensive ones that do not offer enough protection including the Puregear Utilitarian.
Reason I don't want the built in screen protector is I use anti fingerprint protectors and removing the built in protectors is not an option because it leaves the adhesive residue.
I am at this point astounded at the difficulty I'm having finding a belt clip case for my new S3 and would be most grateful for any suggestions.
The OB defender screen plastic can be removed. Thats how i use mine, No screen plastic with a regular self adheseive film. Best thing i could of done to it. I havent had issues with the rubber stretching, but you can boil the rubber liner for 5 minutes then let it cool to make it shrink again.
I was going to order the Defender last night until I saw the reviews on Otter's website. 26 of 49 reviewers would not recommend it to a friend, many stated the outer rubber casing becomes lose after 2-3 months and previous Otter users said they were dissatisfied with the overall quality. There were various other complaints too. I was going to put up with the fingerprint smudges until I watched a You Tube review of the Griffin Survivor. I really don't want to have to take an exacto knife to a brand new fairly expensive case either.

1slow4G,
Many, many thanks for posting the above link. It looks like removing the screen protector may be my only option as this Body Glove case may be my only option.( My guess is it is not anti-fingerprint.) The Tough Suit is more protective than the Body Glove case on my Captivate Galaxy S.
The below links for the Monaco aluminum case is exactly how my Captivate Body Glove case functions and I would have ordered it if it was a non-metal case. I have read on these forums that the aluminum degrades phone signal strength and can effect the GPS & NFC functions which leaves me wondering why anyone would use an aluminum case. The You Tube review states the 3 holes on the back of the Monaco case are to prevent phone radio & GPS interference but there is no mention of NFC interference and since the NFC tile is on the battery there is no hole in the battery area so I'm highly skeptical. In fact I'm going to start another thread asking for others thoughts and experiences with aluminum cases.

An additional benefit to the removable belt clip used on my Captivate Body Glove (the Monaco does not have the kickstand feature) is the kickstand incorporated into the belt clip which allows both portrait & landscape orientation (a feature I use all of the time). I also like the ability to quickly remove the belt clip and store it in my center console cupholder when using my Akron car dock. (I'm thinking the Tough Suite holster is probably to large to fit in the cupholder.)
If anyone else has suggestions please post as I think after 20+ hours trying to find a case that does what my current case does I have reached the desperation stage.................lol. But seriously I had no clue it would be this difficult to replicate the case features and screen protector I now use.
I got this one http://www.case123.com/Ballistic-SG-MAXX-Rugged-Case-Samsung-Galaxy-S3-p/p01ssi930hy004bk_bal.htm from ebay for 9.95$ you can set the phone on the belt clip facing in or out. It also comes with a plastic screen protector, which is removable. I personally didn't like the screen protector, so I don't use it.
Youtube drop test
Ebay link It seems it was sold out, but I guess you could find a similar offer on ebay.

Did your case come in the actual Ballistic packaging shown in the You Tube review? Reason I'm asking is because the $9.95 price seems way too low and the video shows the holster has a large sticker on it stating the case is only designed for screen in insertion. If yours is the authentic Ballistic SG Maxx are you saying the phone is held as securely screen out as it is screen in? If yours is the authentic one and it does hold as securely screen out as screen in I'm scratching my head trying to figure out why Ballistic put the sticker on the holster. I certainly hope yours is authentic and the phone is just as secure screen out as screen in so I can order it and be done with what has become a ridiculous time consuming ordeal trying to find a case. Makes me wonder how many cases I may have seen that allow screen out or in holster placement but only show a picture of screen in so you have no way of knowing screen out is an option. At this point I'd gladly give up having a kickstand just to be done with trying to find a case.

The below link from Amazon shows Ballistic SG Maxx cases ranging from $8 to $29 and I'm thinking the $8 ones are knockoffs considering the case is $50 on Ballistics's website but I may be wrong.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...ywords=s3+ballistic+sg+maxx+holster+oem+black
I watched a You Tube review of the Seidio Active w/ kickstand & holster last weekend where the reviewer placed the phone in the holster face out for 2 seconds (and it seemed like he was fumbling with it) so I thought that was a case/holster combo that would work. I called Seidio customer support last Monday to verify the screen out holster placement and was told yes, screen in or screen out. I called again Wednesday to ask about the extended battery model & desktop cradle but this time was told the non-extended battery model could only be put screen in into the holster. So I called their Tech Support (rather than Customer Support) to get a definitive answer and the individual I spoke with actually went and got one of the cases and said the phone will not fit/attach securely screen out.

Yeah you're right, my bad, it doesn't really work with the screen facing outwards. I haven't tried until today, I thought it would work since the case has the holes where it snaps the phone to the clip on both side. Either way its a pretty good case and clip, for cheap, AFAIK it's authentic. The seller was selling it as refurbished and it didn't come in an official Ballistic Box, but it has the logo on the case and the clip. Sorry about the confusion again , hope you find what you are looking for.

[Q] Bumper Cases?

Hey, I'm looking for a bumper case for my One. (I really want to be able to feel the back of my phone - it's so nice.
The ones I've seen have some reviews of scratching the back plate. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with any that were solid?
Take a look on amazon, a majority of the cool stuff I purchased for my One has been from there.
You could use Sugru (google it).
I've heard that the Aluminum ones are supposed to be pretty good and can protect your sides from impact, however apparently they scratch the metal frame surrounding the OPO.
