LT28h lte on sticker - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hello,
I have ordered LT28i but came to me lt28h but on little sticker is written
LT28h
Mobile Phone GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1900, UMTS/HSPA+Bands 1/2/5/8,LTE Bands 4/17
here is the picture of that sticker
do you think that it can run on lte or certainly not?

New info and question I've been to some mobile shops for example ee and another in the ee they are offering lte demo data download simcards to try they lte speed (btw I'm in UK) and speed was slow and I did not have any 4g sign and when I have checked settings of xperia z1 there is possibility to choose gsm or hsdpa or lte and In my settings there isn't an lte option. I've heard from one side that for lte you need special sim card and from 2 more trustworthy sides that no for lte u just need lte enabled phone (no simcard) please owners of 4g version tell if you did need to change your 3g for 4g sim card or no and please tell me if you have in network mode lte option here is my screen

Rogers e971 LTE

So we all know Rogers gave out the 2600 LTE superphone
Question is, Who here has actually been able to get LTE out of there Optimus? o.0 so far i hit 24mbps on 4g (hspa+)
it refuse to connect to any LTE when i force it on to LTE only
I am located in Toronto/Scarborough
IF your LTE is working do you see a 4G icon or an LTE icon!
Thanks people!
yes i do have a brand new micro sim that came with the phone (lte on teh chip)
yes i have an lte plan as the phone came wid my new plan
and yes i have setting set to wcmda/gsm/lte in network setting
Shows LTE.

This might be a stupid question, but you did buy an LTE microsim right? And not any other one? You also have LTE enabled?

Though LTE will be available before the world ends here in Winnipeg (Rogers said Feb 2013), they did mention that I need an LTE capable SIM card (regardless of size) for my number(s) to use LTE. So I assume that even if your phone has an LTE chip, it won't connect to LTE if you don't have an LTE capable SIM card.
You need:
a) LTE compatible data plan
b) LTE sim card
c) LTE coverage
Even in Vancouver where there is sufficient LTE coverage, my S3 would often switch between 3G and 4G.
I have an LTE chip since they sent me a brand new micro chip from rogers
they gave me the phone stating, it a 1gb share data lte plan
and yes i have wcmda/gsm/lte, even went into engineering mode to force band 4 and 7 no data connection
pretty sure bootloader and root unlocking doesn't remove the lte function hmmm guess am calling rogers
It probably has to do with your coverage then. My house gets full bars of LTE but where I work is HSPA+ only. Do you not get LTE anywhere?
rogers
so i called rogers and the 2600 band doesnt exsist yet......So its normal lte for now.
Awesome. I'm. So glad Bell & Rogers castrated and then dismembered the Inukshuk Wimax (Portable Internet) network for this farce.
My E970 gets 20-35mbit on the AWS LTE networks in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver so far. Who needs 2600 mhz when I can burn a whole month's data in 18 minutes?

Your image doesn't show LTE, and shows it connects Ted to WiFi.

Here is a screen shot of my lte speed test in Vancouver. I also had to order the Fido lte micro sim card. lte wont work on your phone without the sim card.

Using Motorola XT 926 Verizon on LTE 4G network

Hello i have a Motorla Razr XT926 Verizon ( this was designed to also be used on the LTE network 4G on Verizon
Im in the Uk and have a 4G LTE simcard the network is EE Orange and T-Mobile
It automatically goes on 2g & 3G H+
however does not allow the 4G gsm simcard to provide a the 4G network. I want to confirm that its not my provider as If I put this in another 4G handset the LTE nework is 4 to 5 bar signal strength
I have been in network work settings selected global & also GSM/UMTS and done a manual network search no 4G is to be found
I have contacted Motorola who advise that possibly it does not work on GSM simcards only on CDMS
Is there anyway of providing a solution to allow the LTE 4G to be used I presume something to do with the hardware ?
Please expalin in simple form
Many thanks
Neil

Why no LTE on ATT?

Just got the z1 compact d5503. I activated a Lumia 635 go phone the other day that indicated it was on LTE. However, when I take the sim card out of the lumia and put it into the d5503, I only get H and H+. Why is that?
Did you set network mode to LTE preferred ?

When I gave ATT the IMEI number they said it is showing up as a 3G phone...Anyone getting LTE?
If att uses 700mhz LTE in your area then you will not get LTE since this phone does not work on that frequency
i recently purchased the Z1 compact and i have to say the LTE for it is spotty depending on where i am. Also, I'ved noticed that the phone shuts down data when connected to my wifi at home.
I am using StraightTalk (ATT service) and get LTE in places. Someone said ATT uses two bands and only one is compatible. Yes the data turns off when on wifi.. I think.
Anyone know if this phone can be used on Cricket Wireless GSM?

Decided to get this phone knowing that LTE will be hit and miss with no band 17. Does anyone know if there is a way to find out what LTE bands AT&T uses in the city you live in?

Do those carrier use AWS frequencies like T-Mobile in the USA? If they do, you need to enable AWS in the i747.

Issue connecting to 4G

So a mate has a P2 and can't seem to get it to connect to 4G. The SIM card and network is Vodafone UK.
What I know/have tried:
- SIM in both sim slots will connect to 3.5G (HSDPA) on Vodafone network
- A different SIM (Three UK) did connect to 4G in the SIM slot 1 (did not try SIM slot 2)
- Settings says 4G preferred network is selected
- By typing *#*#4636#*#* into dialer and going to phone info displays LTE is selected as one of the preferred networks
- The same SIM (Vodafone UK one) connects to 4G in his old phone and has done in all his old phones
- APN settings are correct, verified by Vodafone support plus myself looking online
So he talked to Vodafone support again today who said try speed tests in 3 different locations and report back. He has done 1 which is 14mbps down and 3mbps up which is slow for 4G (I get 64mbps down and 24mbps up, different network but shows his is slow and likely not 4G). Similarly we we know the device can connect to 4G from using the Three UK SIM.
My gut instinct is it's a network issue, all device settings seem okay, nothing is screaming out of place. The issue though is that the SIM has connected to 4G in his other devices so confuses me.
So, I'd love your thoughts and inputs on this. Any suggestions welcome that may help! Thanks!

I dont know the device or network specifically But I know that the device has to support the same lte bands that the carrier broadcasts in LTE in that area Just because the carrier broadcasts say 900mhtz in LTE, if the device dont support 900 in lte then it wont get it. I have had cases wher 3g is the same freq as 4g it still wont pick it up If you get what I am saying. May be a issue or not.
to further add he might take one of the old devices and use a signal catching app to see what lte bands are broadcasted in his area then compare to device
Thanks @TheMadScientist, all suggestions welcome still. I'm gunna continue to keep an eye on this, research answers and send him a link to this so he can test anything on the device.

We get this issue a lot using sprint phones unlocked international gsm. A lot of carriers seem to not use the same lte bands.
Then naturly verizon devices come gsm unlocked but verizons radios are crap and do not pick anything up half the time. My veriz g5 can get lte next town over cause they use a supported band and no towers near me use it. So i get 3g. And a lot of h h+ i ise lte discovery as the app on mine.
Just hope this isnt his issue as its a harware compatibility .

So I checked the network and the device (on GSM arena) and it seems 4G bands are supported. But I'll try that lte discovery app with him soon you mentioned and see what results that yields

You should check the manuals if there is support for 2600 frequency on phone.
Maybe the phone supports 800/1800(cos 3 is on 1800) and you don't have 800 band in area.
You will have to contact Lenovo and ask them to change baseband or whatever...
or Perhaps get a new phone with support for 2600
Had the same problem using a LG G3. I tried this App to trigger LTE only. Then the Phone connect to the LTE network.
