CodefireX 4.4.3.2.1.000.000 Open Master
CodefireX.com
This well established Android distribution treats development differently than any other to further our Android platform as a whole. This is the fastest source built ROM you will find on this forum, and also the only one to utilize our unique build system and a custom LLVM 3.5 suite based toolchain globally.
Here is our very well supported Issue Tracker.
We utilize a plethora of unique optimizations in a build system unlike any other:
Utilizing the LLVM CLANG CI globally, working heavily with upstreams with a goal of furthering our entire Android platform.
Consistently updated upstream toolchain module source with our custom backports, fixes, and optimizations applied in a patch at build time.
Fully built utilizing Link Time Optimization and Polly optimizations (another custom ROM first). Feel free to google these a bit.
Much of our source have code fixes, cleanups, and many minor optimizations to set us even further ahead of the community. These are too generous to even speak of here.
Optimizations are toggled on and off based on device for the best experience we can achieve for your device without sacrificing stability
Many Qcom optimizations and AOSP master (upstream) optimizations and fixes using device specifications to determine usage.
Fully built utilizing strict aliasing and isognu++11 mode.
Utilizing all O4 optimizations (Optimization Level 4) including LTO (with binutils plugins), and additionally LLVM Polly.
Of course we also have several neat UI features, including but not limited to:
T-Mobile Theme Engine.
DPI Wizard (no junk like build.prop tweaks).
Quick Settings panel customizations.
Live network stats in your statusbar.
Button backlight customizations.
Hardware button customizations.
Volume button customizations.
Many more being added during the nightly builds.

Information
WE ARE NOT USING CM's KERNEL/DEVICE/VENDOR TREES!
We use commits from CyanogenMod to sport our very own kernel and device/vendor trees, but we differ a lot.
Huge thanks to CyanogenMod! Without their commits, the bringup would have taken us much longer!
Our kernel is up-to-date with the latest CAF kk_2.7-stable code and uses the appropriate display HAL and OMX libraries, which are pure CAF without any CM modifications.
We use the infamous in-kernel mpdecision and thermald solution by @show-p1984 (Dennis Rassmann) which boosts performance and battery life notably. I can't thank this guy enough for his glorious and original code!
Happy flashing, feedback is appreciated!

Does this ROM have O-Touch and O-Click support? Also, what kind of customisation capabilities does it have over CM11?

Really great ROM. I flashed it a few days ago, a few bugs I've noticed, o-touch settings doesn't stay after reset.
Also unable to set the menu button to long press, so I kept it at its default setting and it works fine.
I'm having trouble reconnecting to my home Wifi with password protection.
Also auto-rotate isn't working.
Other wise very snappy performance, and great battery

lost wifi? so sad , i hope only its works well

I'm at home now and I'm Wifi is connected fine.

O-Touch: Yes - Settings -> Device -> More...
O-Click: Not yet, will come in the future though.
Read the first post for information about what exactly CodeFireX is.
We're not just another CM clone, we're completely different.

What do you mean by 'reset' ? Could you please elaborate?
WiFi is perfectly fine here, no matter what. I changed my router's encryption method to TKIP, then back to AES, but everything just works.
So I'm not sure what your issue is here... I need a logcat anyways if you want me to look into it.
Auto-rotate is working fine here, too. Trust me, we wouldn't release a ROM with that vital feature broken.
To be honest, all your issues seems really suspicious and look like you caused them (other users of the ROM don't face your issues).
Did you wipe data before flashing?

Ummm, so?
In your previous post you mentioned there was an issue. Did you find out the cause?
For all further issues, please provide logcats!

Yah I was previously using the stock CM 10.2. And I did a full wipe before installation. Not exactly sure how to produce a logcat, I can try to produce one.
The tilt sensor doesn't seem to be working for me so I can't auto-rotate.

Thank so much , i dowloading the rom but the host is same longtime for waiting ....have you had another link ?

If you have had issues with rotating sensor, after flashing from a clean wipe, then test next nightly build. It should be up in a few hours.

where i can find nightly change log ?

o-click is work well today , thank so much RayMan-X

And also take note that although I am involved in the development of this ROM, but I do not own the device, so I might not be able to answer your device specific questions...
First! Looking good. New rom Will try it out soon :good:
Thanks, will try this later today! First question, though: is this based on Samsung Adreno libs or flo libs used by CM? Asking because of KT kernel which is based on flo libs.

Had a chance to play with this ROM for a few hours now, and I'm already in love with it.
I've got no complaints so far. Excited to see what this grows into.
Just installed the ROM and I am very impressed. Smooth like CM and works with KT kernel. Will stay on this and see how it fares over the week. Thx!

does this rom follow CM11 nightly changes?
Yeap
Great ROM running well. Would love to see navigation bar and center clock. Love the animations, only thing I wasn't fond of was the added bloat.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
The apps ain't bloat cause they are targeted to China users which find them useful (the ROM was based in China)...just disable them in Settings->Apps...there's an option to enable nav bar in Settings->Interface...

r1 - 20150415
Hi everyone! I'm zwliew, and I'd like to present a personal project called zwliew Kernel. The Redmi 1S is truly a great device for the price, and I'd like to improve it further with what CM 12.1 brings to the table!
So here's r1 of zwliew Kernel. The flashing process is really simple since it is just a boot.img file. Simply use an app like "Flashr" or "Flashify" to flash it, or you can fastboot it too.
Download:
Removed to investigate a small issue
General changelog:
http://128.199.239.125/armani/changelog
Now I'll explain a bit on the changes I've made. These changes are meant to make the kernel simply a "flash and forget" kinda thing. Flash the boot.img, and experience improvements without much tinkering. Of course, any advanced features wanted, feel free to request and I'll consider them. Currently, I'm considering on adding KCAL control.
I've changed the min freq to 787 MHz. Why you may ask? According to research from CAF (the software developers of Snapdragon OSS kernel and others), 787 MHz, being the max frequency at nominal voltage and L2 freq, is the optimal minimum frequency. This will allow the CPU to complete tasks and threads faster, thus apps can enter IPC more often and overall save more power. So far, this has brought about performance improvements in everyday tasks and battery life has not taken a hit.
I've also merged general optimization patches from both upstream and Motorola. Motorola's patches optimize the low-level memory operations like memcpy and memmove. An upstream patchset optimizes the crypto operations like SHA1 and AES, making use of architecture features like NEON. Some other patches improve the cpufreq subsystem and others.
The KGSL and devfreq subsystem has been improved with patches from CAF too. These subsystems improve the overall GPU performance.
Thanx for the new Kernel...Is it Compatible with Cm12.1 RC2 or just only for RC1 ??

Sorry, this was too early a build and I didn't test it properly. Once it's the weekends (or Friday), I'll test it properly and release a proper working version.
Can you make it compatible with mokee ROM as well?

Anybody try it on (5.1) Resurrection Remix?
Sorry guys! I made a small mistake in one of the commits so r1 was bad. Currently, r1.1 is working well on my Redmi 1S. I'm undergoing a little more testing and it should be ready for release by Saturday.
P.S. Disregard the r0.1 title, it is just a placeholder release title.

Sorry for the delay, here is a fully booting and working r2!

Changelog:
http://128.199.239.125/armani/changelog
Changes are pretty much the same as before, with a few new additions.
Firstly, I've updated the interactive governor to match CAF's codebase. Currently, I'm undergoing testing to see whether it is a capable substitute the ondemand governor.
I've also merged a couple of patches to use interruptible waits over uninterruptible ones in several subsystems. This will reduce the load average by an order of 10(!).
There should also be better power consumption as I've enabled more idle power modes for CPUs to go into deeper idle states.
Hi
Do you think you can add the manual voltage regulator in the next versions? It will be best to try the optimal frequency/voltage than to change just the frequencies.

The AOSParadox Project 2.1
What's CodeAurora Forums ?
Code Aurora Forum (CAF) is a consortium of companies with projects serving the mobile wireless industry. Software projects it concerns itself with are e.g. Android for MSM, Femto Linux Project, LLVM, MSM WLAN and Linux-MSM. Code Aurora is basically AOSP plus all Qualcomm specific enhancements and optimization.
What's AOSParadox Project ?
AOSParadox is a vanilla ROM. Our goal is to pick the least amount of commits possible on AOSP code. While trying to add features, when CodeAurora provide us with chipset's specific sources ?
At the opposite of most of ROMs that you can find, the trees are made by ourselves to be integrated in this new ROM type.
What should I be aware of ?
Everything is custom and made to work with CodeAurora Forum's sources so custom kernels won't boot (ramdisk is different, selinux rules too, ...).
Extra features
Code:
- Snapdragon camera
- Compatible with layer themes
What doesn't work ?

[B]1.1 [U]Enabling softkeys:[/U] [/B]
1. Make sure you have got / & /system mounted as rw.
2. Go to device/system/build.prop.
3. Scroll down to the extreme bottom.
4. Add this line there :
[I]qemu.hw.mainkeys=0[/I]
5. Save the file and reboot. (To be sure that it has got enabled and we're gonna disable the hard-keys in the next step.)
[B]1.2 [U]Disabling the Hardware keys:[/U] [/B]
1. Go to Device/system/usr/keylayout/generic.kl.
2. Scroll down and find the following keys and add # before each of them.
It should then look like this:
# key 139 MENU
# key 158 BACK
# key 172 HOME
3. Save and Reboot.
[B]Alternatively[/B] you can go set the long press and short press of the hard keys to "No action" from settings , in newer builds. (But [B]back button would still work though[/B])
[B]1.3 [U]Disabling the backlight of the HW keys:[/U] (Permanent as long as a systemless SuperSU is available.)[/B]
1. Download this :- [url]https://www.dropbox.com/s/lbx8fogscy8v0xc/DisableSoftkeysBacklight?dl=0[/url]
2. Have [B]a systemless version of [user=631273]@Chainfire[/user] 's SuperSU flashed [/B] (very important)
3. Go to /su/su.d
4. Paste the "DisableSoftkeysBacklight" you downloaded inside su.d
5. Change permissions of the file (Give Owner read, write and execute permissions.)
6. Now reboot.

-Added remaining charge time
-Added a bunch of APN fixes, so messaging issues should be fixed now
-Release 20151001
Code:
Fixed d2tw and added Oppo Gestures (Fully ported from omnirom and thanks to @spanish33)
- Fixed black screen when calling (Thanks to @spanish33)
- Cleanup sources
- Update the default apps to the latest version available
- Fetch latest sultanxda's kernel
- Fix mismatched sizes on system/data partitions
- Fix audio/speakers related issues
- Fix some memory leaks
- Fix miss-aligned no-SIM icon
- Fixed carrier label on lockscreen
- Add F2FS support
- Fixed WiFi Hotspot
- Add screenshot delete option in the notification
- Add CAF Task Manager
- Add compatibility for Google WebView package (on google play)
We also played a lot around the CAF AppOps Manager, but it's not stable enough, so we decided to not use it.
Gr8 ROM !
I found it odd that CAF task manager and CAF appops weren't there. Is this strictly CAF when it comes to just the kernel?

Yep. Pretty much as CAF as Sultan's kernel is. And nope. No app opps or task manager here. We've kinda stuck to as less bloat as we can manage.
ROM working fine on Multirom (secondary). Its always good to see a new ROM surface
@Quasar then would you mind removing all of those really outdated AOSP apps that are really useless? xD
Also I don't know about you.. but I'd think that CAF App ops is extremely useful.

Well, it's just gallery, browser and music. Also, CAF App Ops needs some commits that we don't want to use. You could download App Ops from the play store, though.

Don't really need those anymore since Google fixed the systemupdateservice wakelock. I haven't been on this for a full cycle yet, but on falcon, the SOT almost doubled with this ROM, so I don't think you'd need anything.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I like keeping my ROMs minimalistic as well.

Yay more AOSPs.
Pretty smooth ROM. I would love to see some basic features being added.
Thanks a lot for this great ROM.
@Quasar
Will you add the backup functionalities on addon.d in the future? Or it will stay as it is?
This is exactly what we need! Looking forward to this ROM and if you don't mind ,just a suggestion.. Please don't add any "extra" features such as app side bar app circle bar, floating window etc.
Battery life is too good on this ...
Network traffic and this will be the dream!

This ROM uses one heck of a lot of modules. Including prima wich isn't build "in-kernel" anymore (this way we always use the latest one and we match caf format)

If there are outdated... Why wouldn't we update it simply?
The ROM (on all the concerned devices) is quiet young. Once we added a few features (clean all task) and fixed all the bugs. We will start working apps by ourselves.

It will stay as it is to match CAF as much as we can.
Status bar says 3g even though it says lte in quick settings and no lights on capacitive keys. An option for softkeys would be awesome if possible. I also tried to flash open gapps stock package and I got an error that there wasn't enough room on system. I guess it's an error in the updater script. Works fine in CM. Thanks for the ROM I've been waiting for something like this for a while.
There are three major bugs listed and you are calling it stable?

FAQ
What's special about RadonX?
RadonX is based on AOSParadox, the only full CAF ROM for the OnePlus One. This keeps the ROM lightweight and very minimal. Features and tweaks are added to improve the users experience, not to be highly versatile, bloated, or brag about how many features are added.
What's in RadonX that I wont find elsewhere?
Since this answer doesn't need to be wordy, I'll make a list:
Eargasm Music App
Snap Camera
SaberFox Web Browser
Full Custom Clang 3.5.2 Toolchain
Polly integration on both a host and target level
ART Optimizing compiler
What is SaberFox?
SaberFox is a web browser based on Firefox. It has a dark UI by default, is heavily optimized with standard SaberMod changes, and uses the latest features and improvements that not even Firefox beta has!
What is Polly?
Polly is the LLVM implementation of the polyhedral loop optimization model, similar to GCC's graphite. The only other ROM to ever add it successfully was CodeFireX, a well regarded ROM on KitKat. No other lollipop ROM has a full, true implementation of Polly in Android.
What are SaberMod Optimizations?
The SaberMod project uses its own vendor repo that adds in many optimizing flags to improve the performance of your Android device! Having worked on it myself, I can tell you personally that we take time to research the flags we add!
Some major optimizations are:
-O3
Graphite
OpenMP
CPU Tunings
Vectorization
ARM mode
IPA optimizations
Memory Sanitization
Still confused? Learn more about flags here -> [INFO] What are flags and optimizations?
Does Snapdragon Audio+ only work with Eargasm?
Nope! Snapdragon Audio+ can be used with any app that supports equalizers, such as Apollo, Google Play Music, Encore, Pandora, and Spotify.
Will you add X feature from Y ROM?
If you post the name of the feature, the ROM it originated from, and how it works, it will be reviewed. Not all features will be added
I FAUND AN BUG
STOP YELLING ANd post a report, steps to replicate, a log, and whether you have Xposed installed or not. All bug reports with Xposed will be ignored.
Why is the ROM bootlooping?
Incompatible data is usually the culprit for bootloops. The easy solution is to wipe data, but if you want to keep your apps, use a backup utility like Titanium.
Can I join the RadonX Project?
RadonX is always looking for new developers. PM me with your Github Account, G+ link, and past experience and we can discuss it!

Thank you, best rom ever
I had a couple freezes under heavy load that I believe were (at least partially) caused by your build.prop... I've made an edited version for you, it has helped remove the lag/freezes I was experiencing.. This removes a few problem lines, updates a couple values and removes all the duplicated properties as well.. No new properties were added, keeping it as it was intended..
NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP FILE (extract and push to system with correct permissions)
Very promising rom is it F2fs friendly?? Thanks in advance.

I havent tried, but the kernel contains all the drivers to use F2FS! You may have to modify the zip
Can we flash AK over it?
Flashing AK on stock AOSParadox broke the WiFi.

Try and add dt2w feature and swipe music feature please? I think Aosparadox have integrated that on their repo! Not sure though!
Also if I want to try Xposed, which one should I go ahead with. Gonna give it a shot now!
Also I know you have included a sound mod but any possibility of integrating Viper4Android from the custom SlimSaber thread?

To my knowledge, all gestures are still broken. As stated in the FAQ Post, users with xposed will not receive support in solving problems and will be laughed at when reporting bugs. Use xposed at your own risk.

AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

Very good performance, similar touchwiz. Also it doesn't heat my device at all. I'm very happy that aosp is finally perfect on the s6. keep up the great work ???

Thanks for this ROM. It's pretty simple. And it has everything you want. It's got a very good performance. So I'm just not able to disable the physical buttons. I already happened in crdroid (only the recent button was disabled) Is someone with the same problem? Or is it from my setup? Fingerprint configuration doesnt work for me too. My phone is a g920f. Thank you and congratulations on your work.

Id like to edit it actually only happens when you select a custom ringtone aside from the one on the system like for example when you set and use the tones from a substratum theme. I just used the tones that came with the rom all is good now.
Again as always thank you for the rom
