Hi!
No that dont work. The only bug that i have seen so far.

Installation instructions!!!
Hi,
Want to give this Rom a try but can't seem to find any installation instructions. Do we need any specific kernel to install this. I am currently on RomAura 1.2, using NUT dual recovery. Can I just do a full wipe and install this? Any help is welcome.
Cheers,
Roland!

The install instructions are exactly the same as cm, if anyone wants to write something on how to I will quote and add it to the op.
I also will look into why the camera button is acting strange.

It would be better if all the features from stock rom is appear in customs rom.But As we know cm based rom never able to make Hdmi, radio, active. And so many great features are in the xperia z1 compact like, screen mirror, throwing, miracast so on...Album slide show can not be active on cm based rom

Sure, if you're dependent on these features it may be better to stay on stock. But I never used those so aosp is a great option

Installed and used for about an hour yesterday and very impressed. The camera button is the only real bug I found, oh and my wallpaper wouldn't set right but that could be a Holo Launcher issue, I'm not sure. Overall the speed, U.I, and customization settings are spot on and the only reason I've come back to stock is because I'm themeing it otherwise LiquidSmooth would be my new ROM of choice.

VanirAOSP is an aftermarket firmware Like CyanogenMod with add functionalities . We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on Github.
What to expect:
- This is not a McCopy ROM. What goes into our build is well thought-out and not a bunch of stuff duck taped together because we could.
- maximum optimization. We do our research. We test hard. We build -fstrict -O3 globally and include a massive array of code optimizations and memory leak fixes that we write ourselves and eventually submit to AOSP or Linaro.
- originality in our source. We generate a lot of new commits being features or general code improvements. We are open source to share and improve the community but we also try to make sure we offer a unique experience.
- aesthetics.. hopefully in your opinion
Notable features:
Various Customisation Featuers like ( HALO , PIE , etc.)
ART Enhancements
And SO Much Damn Amount to Explore
What's working:
GSM
Receiving and making calls
Display
Camera (photos, camcorder & panorama)
Audio playback
Audio recording
Video playback
Screenshot
Stock browser
WiFi
WiFi tethering
Bluetooth
Bluetooth tethering
SDcard
GPS
Not working:
You tell...
It's entirely possible that features not used by me are broken, but overall the device should be usable. You have been warned.

No audio problems! And this fix also works with this rom!
Quick update:
This rom is awesome, very fast and stable. I'm keeping it on my phone.
Edit2:
I don't understand one thing. All animations are ultra fast, I would like to slow down them a little and I tried all settings and I can't do that. The CRT animation is still too fast, animations on lockscreen are also very very fast and it isn't looking good.

I just want them a little slower, like on stock ROM. I slowed down window animations but can't change speed of lockscreen animations.

Sorry, I won't be able to, as I need to go out today later and I need to use my device, so I'm reverting to stock backup. Not sure when I'll get another chance. Hopefully if I'm not the only one with the problem then someone else should have it and be able to help you.
Great rom, bluetooth and everything else working fine for me, absolutely no problems at all. Only one complaint, why is there no music app included? Could you include apollo from cyanogenmod?

Welcome to VanirAOSP.
Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
minor UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
low profile mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
many improvements and new features unique to vanir
more to come when i feel like updating the op

I am an official maintainer for Xperia V but I will try to get official support from vanir for z1 compact after I fix bugs on the Xperia V builds. The only annoying bug I have found so far, is that the back button sometimes lags a little. Maybe it is related to the new 5 button navbar settings. But even if you don't change anything in this settings the back button sometime lags...

Back button bug is present in CM also. Unless this bug was not present in build 2.....
Most likely there will be an update today with 6 bar signal icon
Build 4:
Updated VanirAOSP sources to 21/09/2014
For a changelog of sources, visit http://gerrit.vanir.co:8080/#/q/status:merged

OK, didn't know that because I haven't used CM for a long time. I can not tell if the bug was present in your older builds, build 3 is the only one I used. So I think there is nothing you can do to fix this bug, right?

Hooray! One of my favorite phone roms. I'm going to flash it shortly.
Hell ya . validus is here
Dirty Unicorns /Uber / Beanstalk Yuga adm.
It's very nice, and installed with zero issues using the 5/22 gapps from the Lollipopalooza thread.
Almost everything I try to install other than AICP fails with lots of Google Play Services errors. (The 5/20 AICP nightly worked after I updated to 5.1.1 bootloader and vendor.) I assume I'm doing something wrong.
But no matter - this works great, it's dark, and it has this interesting wolf motif going on. It makes me want to howl. Very cool.

It just shows you that every device is different. I tried the 5/22 gapps from the Lollipopalooza thread and kept getting play services FC'ing. I switched to the the 5/21 DU gapps and everything worked fine. It is great to see validus on our device. everything is working great. Thanks you and look forward to future updates.
Thank you for this.. I understand this rom is dark themed, but does it utilize rro or CM Theme engine, and is there a light version? Thank you

Theme engine is literally the first thing listed under features, and you can see the Themes icon in the screenshots. Come on, lol.
My goal with this ROM is to build a new release every week. But that might depend on how busy I am, or if there are any changes that justifies a new build.

I don't think so. Fastboot is the right method.
Looking forward to this one, funny I asked Char G a week ago if a ROM for the 9 was in the pipeline. My wish came true.

You can try layers theme it is working and it is supported but most of layers themes for frameworks-res will cause systemui fc right now the rom is still in the alpha stage so you might face some layers not working
