The App needed Good name and Beta testing
The Application is friend of mine.... Who is doing Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology; India( Chennai ) I guided him to made first android application.
After 4-months he came with amazing application for ANDROID, but he is confused what should be the name of the application. He is asking me, what should I name it.. After look at the app really am also confused, as I know the best place is XDA to find any thing.. Here I require all the XDA member to use the application and share your view about the app and what can I suggest him to name the application.. ..

Is a good app but i think need another logo!

First of all, let me tell you how much I love XDA Developers! Discovering this website has improved my phone by 1.000%!
There is just one thing I am not getting: As this site is all about phones, why isn't there a mobile friendly version of the site? (m.xda-developers.com)
The XDA App is a great alternative, but isn't available on Windows Mobile and misses some easily accessible, important functions (like search a specific thread/forum.. So don't look at me if this question has been asked plenty of times already..) Before I got Android, the immense loading times were always annoying, especially when there wasn't any 3G network available..
Therefore I am hoping that a mobile friendly website will be launched somewhere in the future, for an upgraded XDA browsing experience for every OS!

Android app is nice, but it's only for text. There is no formatting, images or other stuff inside posts. Just text and attachments. And is also missing some great features like "view first unread".

Once again I’m looking for people willing to participate in the private beta-testing program of my newest app. The app to be released is called “GPS Calculator PRO” and it will be an even more advanced version of the most advanced GPS calculations app “GPS Calculator”. Currently this app can be used to accurately calculate distances, get altitude information from digital elevation models, calculate areas, project locations and convert coordinates between several different formats, including UTM. New version adds an advanced trip computer, track recording and SkyDrive integration and track and waypoints (favorites) import/export using GPX format. GPS Calculator PRO is an old style app that cannot be described using words like social or fun, but can definitely be described as useful, interesting and doing advanced math. Now, if you use SkyDrive, if you hike, bike or run, if you like GPS technology or want to learn more about it – I need your help.

Totally Awesome app!!! Very specialised for cartography needs, you'll never lost yourself with that on your device!! Also a pleasant entertainment app if you're curious about your environment...you can compare how big is your field next to the neighbors ones

I'm creating an Rock Paper Sciccors app with multiplayer support over WiFi or even 3G.
Use it whenever you need to decide something with someone who is not right next to you. Use it to solve all the world problems :cyclops:
It's my very first app and I would love to get some feedback from beta testers.

works perfect tried with my sg3 and htc desire both v4.2.2 android
You should publish the app on google play. If you don't want bad reviews (it may be unstable) you could publish under a different name/namespace.
This way you don't have to ask everyone to download and update the app manually everytime you fix a bug or add a new feature.

This app is Drum Machine, so, you can create your own music or use predefined patterns and sounds.
This app contains a classic step sequencer to create basic drum patterns and a piano roll to create
some melodic patterns using for instance bass line and piano melody.
The app can edit notes at eighth note and sixteenth note. So it's possible to write complex rhythms such as jazz-rock style drum pattern, with fla and triplet.
Many demo patterns and songs in various musical style and many sounds for instruments are included in the app.

I have very little android development experience. Still learning. My cousin is working on a website , dont think he wants me sharing to much info about about it , basically its a family tree site , will allow a user to make a tree and u can make additional user for viewing for friends and family. He wants me to make a app for it , my main question is , how do people usually make a app for their websites. Is it they just make a app with a browser that opens the site if so then whats the point of a app when i can just make a mobile version. He really doesnt want to do that . is it possible to make the app from scratch , i make the layout and link it to our database that fills in the data from which ever user logs in , what i mean is i just dont want to make an app that basically opens up the browser and show the mobile site or an app browser . can you please shed some light. Thank you , and sorry for the essay and any typos ,using my phone to type

You can definitely make an app that uses the same database, but if you have very little Android development experience perhaps you should start with a smaller and simpler project? It's a lot to learn.
Web app or Native app both fine
If your product doesn't use too many feature on the phone, the Web app could be good since maybe you can share resources with the desktop Web version. This may also accelerate the development cycle. However, if your are going to use some native phone feature, then, the Native app would be your choice...
