Voice roaming triangle - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I returned the phone 2 times to Verizon and the roaming triangle will not go away in the status bar or the notification bar. Tried everything. Gonna return the phone if I can t fix it. Any suggestions?

Stupid question but, is it disabled? Settings - mobile network - uncheck it

Tried everything called HTC and Verizon gonna take it back,if I can't fix this by tommarrow night

Same issue, tried 4 different SIM cards...only one M8 has this issue, other one works fine!!!

Same issue with mine. Rep in the store said it is a known problem but doesn't affect anything. He said pretty much all the ones they had sold did this. Tried replacing some of the phones, swapped SIM cards, etc. Some they swapped out would be OK. But he had done like a dozen and they all did this. This will be an interesting issue to see how VZW / HTC fixes it.

Talked to jetleigh from HTC today, she said there's a fix & she will personally post it here "soon". They're also communicating the fix with Verizon to tell others about it.

Signal weirdness

Hi. Anyone had issues with there signal. Calls etc on the network.
Yesterday tried aosp again
Then went to my back up.
About 7 hours ago lost it totally
So off chance i fresh installed. Since its come on about 6 times for a few seconds. Service is still down
According to voda all is well. Where exactly Dora the attena etc located?

Perhaps it's a SIM problem? Known hardware fault on the (early?) One X models.

Can't update

Hello all,
I bought HTC One V from Taiwan and using it here in India. Today I got a message that an update is available for the system.
As soon as the update download finished, and when I clicked install it showed that the device software have been modified and that it can't update.
It's strange as I never rooted it.
Also my mobile is having a lot of problems with network connectivity. I live in the middle of city but still I guess a cross over the network bars. And if sometimes I do get then only 2 bars out of 5.
Could anyone tell me what is the problem? I am having a feeling that my handset us defective. Maybe I am wrong.

Well you are going to have to stick to stock with no updates then. I suggest you open up to rooting, stock roms are junk.

I assume its normal but only say that because of all the other phones that do the same thing yours did. Don't feel cheated, while HTC isnt supporting our devices anymore, the fine devs here are.

HELP 4 PHoNES SAME PROBLEM

I'm going on four(4) samsung galaxy s3 on sprint all with the same issue I have 4 Open tickets that all came back saying the network is fine and I also have had my MSID number changed through sprint.
My problem is when people call me they do not hear any audio and I have to hang up and call them back. I have had this issue for 3 months I must have spent 30 hours on the phone with Sprint and maybe 12 hours in the store I do not know what else to do except leave and go to Verizon since nobody can help me at Sprint I've gone through many engineers in Kansas City and no 1 has been able to help me.
Is there anything else I can try that somebody knows is anybody else had the same issue help I don't want to leave sprint but I will because I need a phone that works.

It may seem extremely simple and obvious but have you done a PRL update? I have seen similar issues where basically the phone doesn't activate properly and that solves it. I would think its been tried with multiple phones but maybe overlooked due to its simplicity.

i have a similar issue when someone calls me they cant hear me but i can her myself on my phone and often times i have to call back for the call to work correctly i hope this issue gets fixed soon my bet is after the new update on the phone it started happening so it might have something to do with the new firmware released a couple weeks backs
I doubt its the firmware or update. This would be a widespread issue. I'm on the latest firmware and don't suffer from this issue. If this is your 4th phone, I would say its safe to assume there is a network issue rather than phone if the call works properly when you call the person back. Ask sprint to give u a different phone other than the gs3 and see if the problem persist

Do you have an airave? If you or a neighbor do, your connecting to there's and prl updates are severally corrupt and messed up when trying to through an airave if they don't fail. Try going to a different part of town and do a prl update. And I would actually recommend another provider.. Sprint has become garbage. Worst connection in the country due to what stats say. Not to mention sprint doesn't care about customers much anymore. Been with them like 13 years and then a couple years back they took away all the benefits of senior customers. For example, I have 0 to 1 bars in my house.. With all other providers I get 5...

Help me not getting data on either of my ones.

In the middle of watching a YouTube video my data stop rolling in all it shoiws on top is that it is sending data but not receiving any. It works fine with WiFi though I've reset the phone ive tried putting the SIM in my other HTC one but nothing works anyone have any idea what's going on.?

Most likely Verizon is doing maintenance on it . I get that from midnight to almost 3 in the morning

I went to my local Verizon store and they have no idea what's going on. It went away around 11 am and stil hasn't came back it is now 1:30 am

You're in the wrong forum. this should go in troubleshooting lol.
if it's tied to your SIM (happening in two phones), it's likely something on Verizon's end, and nothing to do with your phone. It'd be worth it to call customer service and see if there's some settings they can flush on their end of the switch.

[Q] Getting "Change of SIM detected" notification? - Verizon

I've had my M8 for several weeks and just started getting "Change of SIM detected. Usage from previous SIM now saved" notifications last night. Anybody having the same issue? I'll go to Verizon tech support next but I wanted to come to the experts first.

Sounds like your SIM card might be flaking out. Verizon should give you a free SIM card replacement if you walk into the store and show them.
Had this happen to me on a few Roms. Running gpe ROM and don't get that notification.

Same thing happened to me today. Even list service for a minute. I did a restart and hasn't happened again. Did you talk to Verizon tech support?

Yes, I talked to Verizon and they recommended I remove the SIM for 10 seconds and put it back in, I haven't seen the problem since.

I noticed that it happens when sending pictures via text. It's also happening on wifes phone. Did you take it out while powered on or off?

Yes, I powered down first. Turns out my gf's M8 was having connection problems this afternoon too. I did the same for hers and things seem to be fine on both of ours. RED must be making changes or testing something.
TIP: When a SIM ejection pin isn't around, a standard staple works perfect.

Both of our phones are randomly (a couple of times a day) dropping cell connection and giving notifications that the SIM was just connected. We've already powered down and removed the cards but it's continuing. This started three days ago do I know it's a network thing but I don't know what's going on.

Yeah seems it's happening when we send picture texts and not on WiFi. There was probably something in the recent update that screwed things up.
