[ROM][d802] Recovery Flashable d802 STOCK KitKat 80220B Open UK (root+recovery) - G2 Android Development (D802)

Made this from the new 80220B UK kdz (Model A6GBWH and A6GBBK). This is the 16GB version, it MAY work on 32GB devices, BUT 32GB is NOT sold SIM Free officially in the UK.... only via dodgy Grey imports. Works well, no Bloat, no carrier logos or splashscreens. I'm on SIM Free UK version, for interest. But this will work on any European d802. 4G is fine.
This is the complete LG KK 20B ROM - nothing missing or messed with.
If you follow the method below exactly, no Audio glitches, no Touchscreen problems.
You can flash SuperSU and get root if you wish - your choice.
I provide this assuming you have an understanding of the terminology used below and appreciate that any flashing activity has some risk.
I strongly advise against using any form of restore from previous backups, such as TB or Nandroid.
Once the process is complete, custom recovery will be lost.
Method:
Download both the ROM zip file linked below and SuperSU zip file (if you want root) and copy to your SD card.
You need to be already on Rooted JB or PURE CM11 with either TWRP 2.6.3.3 or 2.6.3.4 (nothing else).
Reboot to TWRP recovery
Wipe: System, Data, Cache. Dalvik (nothing else)
Flash the ROM zip - ignore any "FAIL" warnings.
Wipe Cache and Dalvik (nothing else)
Go to the Mount page in TWRP and select System (leave the other defaults alone)
Flash the SuperSU zip - ignore any "FAIL" warnings
Reboot
Done
If you want to install TWRP after the above, see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715496

Keep on eye on ephurumis' threads - he used my EUR version to create a recovery included version of the ROM and may do the same for this.
Note that my NOT doing this is to allow members to have a PURE STOCK ROM that is flashable. The Recovery version by its nature is NOT PURE STOCK.
Choice!

How much battery did you have? and try reflashing before anything else. Sometimes when you install a new rom and wipe things it takes awhile to boot up.

I've been running 10.1.0 for a few hours now with no problems and I must say its a really good ROM so far!!! It has a couple new features in the camera but there a little wonky but the camera works fine but thats to be expected since its the first release..
Just upgraded to 10.1.0 from cm-10-20121126 and running into a lot of issues, sim card constantly asking to be unlocked (unlocks, doesnt connect to network then asks to be unlocked 2-5 minutes later); pattern lock doesnt lock, can put any pattern in and it unlocks..randomly froze on me not too impressed so far!
Should I just roll back to 10.0?
Using Samsung Galaxy S2 4G
Jesus, people! Do any of you even know what you're doing???
First of all.. Don't use ANY of the wipe scripts unless you're on CWM 5.0.2.7 OR any version of TWRP. They WILL break any version of CWM 6.
I flash this a few hours ago and haven't run into any of the issues the nightlies 4/24-5/8 introduced. The stock kernel gov has been changed from ondemand back to interactive which is a very good thing.
Anywho, wipe properly and you should have 0 issues. Make sure you format the /system, /data, and /cache partitions for a proper wipe or else you're going to run into issues.

This is a mod that is possible using the new and updated google hangouts with video. It allows hangouts to make video calls to any number that has google hangouts. Run over to the N9005 thread and i'm sure you can find the mod to put the button on the dialer there.

Hate to ask but Can we have one for the d803 and i will test it. Its been released a few days ago
If we flash this, does it allow for OTA updates from LG (if/when there are some) or does this 'disqualify' the ROM? Just interested in seeing stock again some day, I get lots of different wants, side effect from the mass dosage of pain meds for severe chronic pain hah.
Thanks for any questions answered.

You will get OTA BUT since you would be rooted with custom recovery it will bootloop. I suggest flash and wait. Xda will surely have someone posting any updates. I will make flash able zip rhen which you can use later

I'm wondering 'cause it does say a 4.2.2 rom is needed and CM11 is 4.4, right? Can I just sideload these files from CWM?
Yes you can, but root and twrp 2.6.3.3 is must needed

@rastigo thanks for this ROM!
Just wanted to report that the process works flawlessly with CWM custom recovery, too; I had it installed because was using Cloudyfa's ROM before.
I like this because is more stock-perfect than others.
Cheers!
Since this ROM have recovery, if we want go back to JB, can it be by flashing nandroid backup via recovery or should flash kdz file?
No you would be required to flash Know unless you have jb baseband

I can't access twrp from my device (it's a d805 with a d802 rom), is there no way to flash it through CWM? Would downgrading the installed twrp work?

As I wrote a couple of posts above, I went through the installation process starting from CWM, precisely this version modded by Cloudyfa.
I have TWRP 2.6.3.4 installed. Can I do it? if not how can I downgrade it to 2.6.3.3? thanks and does it matter if the phone 16gb or 32gb

[Q] Hypothetically, after restoring the aboot partition......

Whats next? What files would I need to restore the Verizon DE Note 4.
Just in case it ever get erased , it would be nice to have them handy.
Also it would help me to understand the firmware.

Thanks again!
I downloaded two copies of each with verified Checksums just in case!
Is it safe to assume that I could use these two files to go back and forth between KK and LP on the Developers Editions Note 4?
Again thanks for putting this together.

In the instructions he talks about N910VVRU1BOAF, N910VVRU1ANJ5 and N910VVRU1ANI1 but not the Baseband that my DE Note is on. What gives? Am I reading the wrong numbers?

I was one of the first to order the DE from Samsung. On the first day they we're offered.
Will this updates apply to my phone?

I have no idea why there's a difference. I've used the ANJ5 and BOAF and my phone was fine.
You could backup your current setup before you switch to BOAF. Then backup your new set-up too.

Yeah there's a brightness fix kernel to flash in TWRP. Have you odin flashed TWRP then recovery flashed SuperSU. That kernel has some battery tweaks that help out with battery usage too.
