Good Screen Protector? - Galaxy Note 3 Neo Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Need a good screen protector. Please share link if you found one online.

http://www.spigen.com/brands/samsun...3-neo/galaxy-note-3-neo-screen-protector.html
Have used them before on other devices. Very good quality and stays clear and scratchless for most of device life for me.
However keen on trying tempered glass type. So far only found 0.3mm ones and apparently latest are 0.15mm ones which are not yet avail for Note 3 Neo. Google "glass m tempered glass"

Just a screen protector made of tempered glass. So feels just like touching the original glass but more durable and stronger protection than normal film type

Brief review after a week of use.
Smooth to touch like or I glass. Not much finger prints. It is thinner compared to 0.3mm temperee glass but only noticeable when touching edges.
Haven't dropped it yet (phew) so can't say on durability.
If you look at the phone with screen off against say ceiling light at an angle and move the phone, you can see distortion in the glass (wave effect). However totally not noticeable when screen is on.
So far so good for me for the price

What glass screen protector and where to buy?

Hey guys I wanted a just like glass screen protector and amzer and SGP ones are out if stock only one I could find is siedio but seems expensive. Any ideas where or which to get? Thanks

I would spend the money on the spigen glas.t but according to this forum it has been discontinued:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1929381
I didn't read the full thing, i just googled it. But i will say this, I dropped my iPad 3 face down(glass down) on concrete and it protected it. It fell about 4 feet and came out without any damage whatsoever.

I swear by ZAGG. If you watch the demo video then it should sell you too. Yes its a little more expensive than the 3 dollar scotch tape cover you can get at the grocery store, but you spent a lot of money on the phone with its sharp screen, I figure its worth it. I had the ZAGG cover on my Thunderbolt and it worked great. I liked it so much I have one on my GS3.
DBA Cases sells a screen protector called "Just Like Glass". I just bought one for me and my mom. I must say the feel is great, almost "like glass" and the screen doesn't diminish in quality one bit. It is a wet application. The sides on mine don't want to stick down all the way. The instructions said this would happen and after a few days it will stick. I've only had it applied a couple days so I'm still crossing my fingers. They are only $13.50. I would definitely recommend one. http://www.dbacases.com/samsung-galaxy-s3-screen-protectors.aspx
I highly suggest glasszone. No proximity problems, no response problems. 9H hardness, I've dropped it twice from waist height on concrete floor and it's not scratched, though I'm not 100% if the initial impact was with ground. The only thing I have against it is the (barely) visible layer of glitter on the edges, or what the manufacturer calls "pearl effect". I barely notice it, and it's only really visible under a few instances. You can find it on ebay

Do all the tempered glass protectors make the screen look odd, or are some better and more "HD" than others? I read the thread about the xgear one and it sounds like it distorts the screen.

Yes it definitely disturbs. That's why the sticker type protector is somehow a better choice, but if you have a sturdy case protector to begin with you don't need a screen protector, that gorilla glass will serve it purposes.

I ordered mine from Bestskinsever. Quality is like Zagg Invisible Shield for about 1/4 of the price.
I don't like the Zagg ones, its very clear when you're using them that you have a screen protector on. I have the DBA Just Like Glass mentioned above. I like it for the most part. The screen protector has gotten very scratched up but the screen is safe and sound. Worst bit about it is that the edges dont look properly adhered. They havent peeled up for me but they look like they arent stuck on as well as the rest of the protector

SPIGEN SGP Samsung Galaxy S3 Premium Glass Screen Protector White
Glass looks and feels great.
HOWEVER
Must be used with a raised home button and case on the edges.
Sensitivity was severely compromised.
You wouldn't notice on regular use, but as soon as you got typing. I became very frustrated. Ruined texting all together.
Even swype was some garbage.
40$ well wasted.

I've been using a Qmadix tempered tech armor and it does need a raised sticker and only comes with three. It works great though and I haven't lost any use. I bought mine in white from a sprint store and my only complaint is the dust that gets stuck on the glue like edges underneath. I can post pictures of the box and the glass screen protector if requested my camera just isn't connecting on the cm10.1 nightlie I have haha

Xperia ZL Screen Protectors

Hi Xperia ZL owners,
I noticed that we have a case and covers thread but no screen protector thread. I know there is information in the general forums about screen protectors, but I want to open a new thread here to document ZL users' experience with different screen protector brands specifically for our device.
The format will be simple. Please state the brand and simple details then rate 1 - 5 for the various qualities of the screen protector. If you feel like I have missed something, please feel free to let me know. I want to make this thread as helpful to everyone as I can.
Here is my example:

Price: $3.95 USD for 3
Type: Dry application plastic film
Included accessories: Lint cloth and applicator card
Ratings:
Feel: 4
Slight resistance when swiping. Not as smooth as stock.
Fit: 3
Does not line up exactly with the camera hole. The camera cutout is slightly skewed to the left. The top has a 1mm gap to the bezel.
Clarity: 5
Very clear. I There is little to no difference to the stock protector.
Responsiveness: 4
It seems like there is a slight dip in responsiveness. It might be due to me using this on top of the original screen protector.
Durability: TBD
I have only used it a week so this will be updated when I get to a month of usage.
Fingerprint resistance: 5
It lives up to its promise of being anti-fingerprint when my hands are clean.

Spigen Screen Protectors have no cutouts for front camera or proximity sensor

Hopefully they'll fix this down the road, but the Spigen "Ultra Crystal, Clear and Hard Surface Screen Protector" (purchased from Spigen on Ebay) that I just received have no cutouts for the front camera or the proximity sensor. I tried to carefully cut out a space in the plastic to account for them but cutting the protector made it unable to adhere properly to the screen. I've sent them a note, hopefully they will replace them.
Update: Okay, color me a dumbass, I just used the last one of the 3 pack without altering it and yes, the proximity sensor does work even though it is covered.
Isn't it working fine without the cutouts? Or did you not try?
Proximity sensor is working fine for me with the screen protector that came with the spigen ultra hybrid case

With The Nexus 4 anything covering the Proximity Sensor impaired it. Every other screen protector I've bought for any of my devices had cutouts for the front camera and proximity sensor.
yup, Spigen didn't make the cut out since its just working fine, their screen protectors are very clear, non obstructive to the nexus 5's sensors and camera

Yeah, you'd assume with nexus 4 it had to have cutouts to work
But works fine here!
Yes, apparently Spigen screen protectors don't affect the sensor nor the front camera at all.
Seriously... How do you people use these?! I can install a wet apply one no problem but these suck! I used a steamy bathroom etc. And even with every precaution including using a can of air I couldn't get the protector on the phone without dust. What a nightmare. I'm just using protector no 4 with dust underneath til I get a proper protector. They do feel nice though.

I lay the screen protector on the phone and wrap tape around one side of the phone and screen protector so that its like a "hinge" so to speak. Then just wipe the screen with a lint free towel, peel the back of the screen protector off and flip it over onto the screen. Only place you can even tell that there's a screen protector on it is around the earpiece.

I like the static kind. If you get a piece of dust under it, you can just lift it with a piece of tape and remove the dust. It's always a perfect application if you put in some effort!

See, and I'd rather have a dry apply smooth as glass protector that might have a small dust particle or two instead of a wet apply that feels like an orange peel and is soft and squishy.

best Nexus 5 screen protector?

Hi all,
I'm looking for a decent, but not way too expensive screen protector. I'm planning to use my n5 with only a screen protector, nothing else. It doesn't matter for me if it is wet or dry application, as long as it will keep my screen safe and it won't annoy me in terms of feel and screen distortion. Anyone know any good screen protectors?
Thanks in advance!
Can't say much but my experience with the spigen crystal clear has been good. Easy installation! looks great as it doesn't have any cutouts for the camera and proximity sensor. Doesn't affect the performance at all. My protector came dented, it came free with my ultra hybrid case but meh, not many complaints regarding that.
I bought this one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EPLT8O4/
You get 3 protectors and I'm pretty happy with the quality. They do attract a lot of fingerprints but I think most protectors do? I was worried a screen protector would alter the screen color/vibrance but I can't even tell it's on unless I look at the edges. I'm happy with this purchase but in the future I might try an oleophobic tempered glass one.

Currently iSmooth screen protector is one of the best screen protectors. Here is the link :
I cannot post a link: Go to amazon.com and search (ismooth nexus 5)
I'm rocking a best skins ever wet application protector at the moment. Its easy to fit (being wet app you can reposition after applying before it dries) and has a nice feel. Its also fits perfectly to the screen edges.
Been meaning to do a little review but not got around to doing one yet.
Loving the spigen that came with my slim case. I had it for almost 3 weeks already and only has one scratch. Very anti-scratch. I liked them so much, I ordered some for my wife s4 and no scratches at all.

I have the TechMatte amFilm Nexus 5 screen protectors. They come in a 3-pack and include everything you need. They are a dry-application screen protector. The screen protectors have three cutouts along the top for the camera/light sensor/proximity sensor, but the cutouts are NOT along the edge of the screen, as suggested by some illustrations on the packaging. The 3 cutouts are neat and precisely in the location of the aforementioned sensors.
The actual application time took around 2 minutes, 15 seconds. I got it right the first time. After initial application, the 4 bubbles took seconds to smooth out. To minimize dust particles being trapped under the screen protector during installation, TechMatte suggests applying the screen protector in a bathroom after taking a shower. I can understand why, as I ended up with two small particles of dust which settled in the nanoseconds that the Nexus 5 screen was exposed to the air in my kitchen. This is no fault of amFilm though. The screen protector looks great and was a breeze to apply.
5/5 so far for the Techmatte amFilm Nexus 5 screen protectors!

Protect screen from daily scratches, dust, scrapes, and normal signs of wear
Attaches quickly and smoothly with self-adhering surface, leaves no residue when removed

Being the cheapskate I am, I was using a 1st gen Nexus 7 screen protector cut to fit the new Nexus 7. It's safe to say the amFILM screen protector was a step up.
First it's worth mentioning the screen protector was in a good stiff cardboard holder. Protects it from bends during shipping. It's good to see this as a lot of cheaper screen protectors are just sent in an envelope from ebay.
It comes with quite a bit of nice accessories. The microfiber is good in size and quality. It's better than the small cheap ones thats usually included. It also comes with a squeegee and lint remover/hinge stickers. The lint remover/hinge stickers are meant for any dust you can see on the screen before applying or used as a hinge for applying the film.
Also for the noobies to applying screen protectors, it has step by step directions for best results. The have instructions for 2 methods. Hinge method (what the stickers are for) and regular method.
There is a single cutout for the light sensor and camera. It's a perfect fit on the screen, good feel, no loss in touch sensitivity of the tablet, no rainbow effects and not to sticky when swiping your finger across it. Super Clear and can barely tell there is a protector on it.
Overall I'm very happy with it. Great customer service and lifetime warranty! Whats not to like?

This protector is fairly large so there isn't a huge margi. Of error when applying. However they have a 30 day money back guarantee and are willing to send you more protectors if you have trouble.
I bought a tech armor sp (as a spur of the moment sort of thing) when it comes in I'll write up a review
Sent from my SGH-I747 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Thanks for the review. I've had the amfilm SP on for about a week and I seem to be experiencing a bit of touch response interference. It seems to get worse when there are a lot of smudges on the screen. Luckily that only happens... All the time because the trade off with this SPs great clarify is its penchant for fingerprints.
Anyone else having touch response problems? I'm close to removing the sp altogether to see if the responsiveness returns or if there's a deeper delay issue with hardware. My guess is the SP is at fault.
That said, it installed easy, has great clarity, and was at a great price point. Hard to beat 2 for $7... amazon prime helps, too.
Yup, awesome products at a GREAT price!! I used nothing but Ghost Armor for years. After trying TechMatte though, that's all I'm buying from here on out. I've got their screen protectors on my N7 FHD and Note 3. I also use their Qi Receiver in my Note 3, as well as their car mount. All excellent products!
