Note: I will NOT add useless optimization drivers, "DanceLizard360" governor, or any random frequency step pulled out of who knows where. I WILL add features I've either written or thoroughly reviewed myself that actually serve a purpose. If you'd like to contribute or recommend a feature, think before you speak. This is not a toy, this is a tool to control the hardware on your device. That said... enjoy!

You could use RGB to bump the blues, thus negating yellows. So hypothetically it can 'negate' it.

If your whole display has a yellow tint, it will negate and whiten it out. But the hardware banding issue is something software is limited in masking.

Yellow band isn't caused by display calibration. Overall yellow is. A yellow band is caused by the adhesive on the screen digitizer not curing properly. There are two ways to fix this. 1st is to leave the phone is the sun for about 30 minutes at a time until it dries. 2nd is to put the phone under a UV lamp on the affected area only, for about 5 mins. You can usually see these lamps at nail salons. They look like little black lights that women out their hands under to dry their nails.

Can we usw f2fs for all partitions?
What do you recommend?

[THEME/UI][TUTORIAL][VIDEO ADDED!] DropUI | A minimal UI (updated: 15th Sept)

*Click image for high res. version.
It has been a while since I made a real homescreen, I had been using Windows Phone for a while before I got my Galaxy S3. You guys have no idea how suffocating those tiles were (But I still love the MetroUI).
So, I call this setup DropUI cause of the raindrops in it. I have this strange fascination about them, they calm me down. You might notice the edges have black spots, they're there so that the screen looks rounded too. Inside the screen is another layer (or I call it a base). The base has the nav, the dock and the folders. I had to include the dock inside the wallpaper and then use blank icons on my launcher cause 7x10 grid was a pain to work with.
I had seen many setups before I created this, the best and the most unique ones used SweeterHome which is a beta launcher and is clunky. I believe in functionality over looks so I chose one of the best launchers out there, Apex Launcher. (You can use GoLauncher too but Apex has some nice gesture controls.) I made most of it, I had to mash up two icon sets and add in some effects to them. (resources are listed below). Unlike most of the complex setups which make it really hard to change wallpapers, each of my homescreen changes its wallpaper automatically. I had to make couple of wallpaper variations but same wallpapers get boring after a while. The folders are made up of Simi Folder widget and the text is made up of Minimalistic Text.

[APP] Galaxy Screen burn-in\ghosting diagnose and repair utility

Hi All,
I've written a small utility that will help you diagnose and repair screen burn-in issues on your Galaxy Nexus.
You can download the App from here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bengigi.screen.diagnostic
The diagnose mode shows a full screen white color, with minimal brightness so you can check if you have screen burn-in issues.
The repair mode displays a full screen inverted color of the Galaxy Nexus buttons and top bars.
Let me know what you think and if you have any ideas\comments about the App and how it can be improved.
Thanks!

1 minute of doing this and the burn in is gone
Seems great. Looks like I haven't suffered any burn in, but if I did this utility wouldn't help me as I don't use the stock soft key images, and this will only display an invert of those images.

No, the inverted image I'm using is based on the stock rom navbars, but I can modify it to support other navbars, but I'll need a screen shot of the for that.

Post your (T-Mo GS4) software pet peeves

We all have them - and it will help ROM devs to know what "the people" want to be changed.
Mine include the clutter in the notification bar, particularly the WiFi Calling item, and the "suggested activities" on plugging in headphones. I'll let you guess which I've already removed.
e: If it's a major missing feature like real lock screen widgets or photo sphere, it probably doesn't belong in this thread, nor does hardware items.
You know you can now hide the wifi calling by long pressing on it in the notification bar, going to app info, and clicking to turn off notifications? It removes the icon and keeps your wifi calling intact.

I've done a bit of changing things, so if I've already forgotten what's stock and what's modded, I thought in settings --> power there's a checkbox for powersave (*not* extreme powersave). It's possible I saw something here on xda that talked about a sqlite edit to a settings file that turned that on. I see you have a Skyfall signature, so assuming you're already S-OFF and rooted yourself, I'm sure you can also make that change.

How would you like to be first to try out this new theming app? How would you like to see a little color instead of stock white notifications?
I am looking for Nexus device owners to test Material Notifications. I have a Nexus 7 (2013) and I find that it runs perfectly on it, but before sharing it with the wider community, I would like to make sure it runs well on other Nexuses.
If your device is not a Nexus, or if you are using a custom rom, this probably won't work. If it does work, I would be glad to know.
Whatever device you own, make sure you have a nandroid backup before using this app. If you get stuck in a bootloop or if your systemUI force closes, you can easily sort the problem by going into TWRP, mounting your system, opening the file explorer and deleting color.apk from system/vendor/overlay. Or you can use your nandroid.
Please note that I am not responsible if you brick your phone. Only test this app if you know what you are doing.
Thank you in advance for testing. I hope you will think it was worth your while! I'm looking forward to your feedback. Cheers!

Thanks a lot for this! My understanding is that it won't work with CM, but let me know. I think only AOSP based custom roms have a chance. And stock, of course.
It installs, root granted, configured, I chose a color and then reboot OK but color is not taken into account after reboot. Will you need logs? If yes, which moment exactly?
