Forums - Amazon Fire Phone

Hey I'm just got a Amazon Fire and I use to use tapatalk for some forums on my old phone. Does anyone know if tapatalk plans on releasing a application on the fire? Or is there another app that performs the same. I am part of this forum called Sinners and Saint and I'm trying use a app. Thanks in advance.

Tapatalk is available in the Amazon app store, so it'll work on the Fire phone. :fingers-crossed:

Dead Space not purchased??

Hey guys.
Random post here. Can't hurt to ask.
I bought DS on sale about 2-3 months back and I've been flashing a few roms... as we do haha, and I just went to install it and argh, its not purchased? As in I have to buy it again?? WTF?? Any ideas on this?
I have one hunch. If anyone is familiar with TBu, it asks about your android ID which I don't think much of, every other bought app works so maybe, if you change your ID to a new one, on the same device mind you, you forfeit some of your purchases?? Really? No. I certainty hope not.
Thanks in advance guys, I'd be very appreciative to hear anyone's help on this. I love that game.
Cheers.

You should be able to download it from Play Store anyway. I've seen some apps that use an activation of sorts when you start it up for the first time.
If you go to http://play.google.com do you see the app there, or maybe check your google wallet purchase history.

I get this issue all the time when I first flash a rom just go into settings/app/all scroll down to the play store clear data then go back into the play store hit accept you should be good to go.
Thanks for your responses guys. Much appreciated.
I'm in a different part of the workr at the moment. I bought it on the other side but I didn't think that would matter. I went to the Google store and logged into the web page and downloaded it that way. There was 2 versions of DS. Weird. Has anyone seen this?
Thanks again.

[Q] Kindle Fire on HSN

HSN has the kindle Fire on flex payments and I was trying to find out if it is the new version that I've heard can't be rooted or is it the original that can? I already have the Original which I've rooted and running custom rom on but I wanted to buy one for a gift for someone but only if I can root it. I've done some searching but can't seem to figure out which model HSN is selling.

I just Googled "hsn Kindle Fire", found Kindle Fire 7" 8gb on the result list......went to HSN's website and the description was clearly the 2nd gen Kindle Fire as it was specifying the 1.2GHz CPU and 9 hour battery life. The 1st gen Kindle has a 1GHz CPU and specifies an 8 hour runtime.

Yep, I clearly didn't search enuff b4 posting this question. I was in the heat of the moment about to pull the trigger on buying it but after I posted this question I continued to search and figured it out and didn't buy it. Maybe this thread can save others from buying it as well if they expect it to be rootable. Sorry, didn't mean to waste xda's valuable server space and enter a legal proceeding yes it "clearly" does state.

After a little further research it seems a few ppl have had some luck with rooting it... It looks like a shaky proceedure atm but promising but no roms exsist as of now. Thought I should point that out as to not completely hinder someone elses decision to purchase the kf gen 2... As for myself I'm still gonna pass and continue enjoying the original kf and all its incredible development.
Yes confused I am, blame it on the Christmas tree

Yeah. I messaged him on RootsWiki with no response, so I emailed him through the Dev email on the page for the app.
Has anyone else experienced anything with either version of this app?

I still have a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that one of my favorite respected modders is a girl; and only in high school too!

Are we using the same hardware & software? Kindle fire first gen, twrp, fff, cm10.1 from Jan2013+, gapps 121212 all clean flash. How is it possible that some can use it & some can't? I can use it, but the vids are blank.

Same here. I tried with cm10 sgt7 2012 builds first. I wanted to wait on battery and stability improvements before I switched but now I am on cm10.1 clean flashed.

Amazon Prime on JellyBean 4.1.2

Does anyone know how to get Amazon Prime videos to play on G Note2?
I have flash for ICS side loaded, but videos won't play. Other flash content works.

Thank you. There are many Google links, but the best points to an xda thread that I've read many times. That thread has a link to a thread that describes how to get pinch zoom working, and I've contributed to that thread. My problem is that I can get flash"working", but only on other sites, not Amazon prime. The AP videos will start, and I can even pause and resume, but I don't see any video. I've tried many flash versions, many browsers and many user agent settings, but haven't found any combination that works on 4.1.2. Any thoughts on where to go from here? I'd like to find someone on JB 4.1.2 who has it working and get their exact settings.

I think it's an Amazon thing that prevents playing the movies on anything other than a Kindle, even if you pay for Prime, which I do, and I am pretty sure that I should be able to watch the movies I pay for, in addition to the Prime membership fee, on any device I want. (rant over).

I totally agree with you!
Though Amazon does let you watch movies on other devices like Roku etc, but thats not what all of us here care so much about

On JB 4.1.1 it was possible to watch Prime on a Note 2 by installing Flash and setting the User Agent to desktop. That is according to reports in the threads about installing Flash on JB. It seems that something changed with 4.1.2.

Help on Identifying a kindle fire...

Hi guys,
I have got my hands on a Kindle but I'm not sure what version I have. I've read a few posts ans guides and apparently you can tell the version by its software version.
It has a version labeled 6.3.1_user_407920, am I right assuming it is a first generation Kindle Fire?
If that's the case, what is worth as of this days? $100? $125?
Thanks in advance for the help!
