[Q] Can I charge it with an Energizer Dual ? - Moto 360

Hi !
I want to buy this Qi charger : http://www.amazon.com/Energizer-Qi-Enabled-Position-Inductive-Charger/dp/B0041RRORA/
And I want to know if there will be no problem for charging my Nexus 5 and my Moto 360 at the same time ?
My watch will not explode for exemple ?
Thank you

QI is a standard, it should charge and charge with the appropriate amount of power.

Just remember, if it doesnt' work, dont' hate me. I have a Samsung QI charger and it works on my 2nd gen Nexus 7 as well as my Moto 360. Well, it did before I put a metal band on it and now my watch doesn't lay flat on it.

yesh the wireless charging is like the palm pre you have to put on a replacement battery door BUT im going to buy this charging kit anyways cos the battery door is said to feel more premium coated in a rubber the induction coil is in the door.
the charging is like the palm pre you just put the device on a flat peice of plastic vola its charging
Is there any sample pic of it?

I'd heard that the stand was around £35. For a moment I thought Clove had got one, but that turns out to be the normal desk stand (I think, see http://www.clove.co.uk/accessories/samsung/samsung-galaxy-s3/cables-chargers)
Like the idea of the wireless charger because I've seen how easy it is, based on the three HP Touchpad's we've got in the house.

The Touchpad folks in the house haven't noticed any difference in charge time (apart from the initial one) between wired and wireless charging.
That said, the difference in the initial charge was quite long, (one TP was wired charged, the other two wirelessly), in the order of an hour if memory serves me. And if the Samsung charger is anything like the HP TP one then you don't have to be too precise with your device positioning.
Just wish that the Samsung S3's charger also allowed a headphone out - kind of like the old (?) Apple iPhone/iPod dock (the one with the remote). It'd be nice to give that Wolfson DAC a spin by using S3 as an iPod replacement.
The important questions are, is it compatible with my current PowerMat that I own. Also, I have read about PowerMat's new NFC charge card that should be out sometime this year. You swap out the NFC card with their NFC+Charge card and there is no need to switch phone backs.
September? WTH!

Yes what is the hold up?
What I've heard is that basically it was a last minute addition and was never going to be ready on time - it wasn't delayed, it was always expected to come this late after launch. Might get the LG Optimus LTE2 instead, as that also comes with wireless charging apparently.

Wireless Charging Dock?

Does anyone have any wireless charging docks for the sgs3? Which works the best?
LG has one made, but I can't find it for sale everywhere. There are only flat pad's i've seen

Energizer as long as you want " Qi " - ebay: about $25 or so....and also on Amazon...do not buy LG (Same as Verizon's pad)as it has an alarm when fully charged and not a good bedside charger nor anywhere else. Energizer automatically turns off when fully charged - no alarm!

The speaker can be removed on the lg mat very easily.
the panasonic is probably the best one, you can put the phone anywhere on the mat, and the mat automatic locates the position, you can lay two phones on the mat and the mat will charge one, when finished it will locate the second phone and charged that.
the mat is also the most expensive of them all.

It's not the most expensive one, the Zens is. It's from my country and the cheapest is 50 euro's, about $65.
The Panasonic is for $54 on Ebay from Japan, with shipping it is also $65 to The Netherlands.
Don't know wich one to get, how does the system work with lcoating the device, won't that break down after a while, sounds mechanical...

you can buy Energizer Qi on Amazon and ebay - both in USA though and latter for about $20 - shipping to Netherlands might be more expensive, but not costing another $30
i was just on ebay. cheapest is 19.50 but that's a bid price and a day or 2 to go... they're roughly at 30 bucks+ on ebay

It's stupid that the dual one is cheaper than the single one...
With shipping it it not really cheaper then buying the Zens here in the Netherlands, and it is also better looking
Really like the Panasonic one, but I'm skeptical about the detecting system because it means moving parts inside...

But I keep skeptical about it, it can break down and then you got a worthless charger...

I take it you mean the watch. I like it. I wish it had a better battery. I like AW better than Tizen. So much more development. I wish I could make or answer calls from it like my Gear 2.
What someone needs to do is having something like the Power Pack Micro or any small power pack and have a Qi charger on one side. That would have been killer. Then you could have looped the watch around it to charge on the go.

Qi-infinity™ Portable Wireless Charger Power Bank 4000 mAh

http://www.amazon.com/Qi-infinity-Portable-compatible-including-receivers/dp/B00K8HG8YW
So far I am able to get about 8-10 hours of use off my Moto 360 with these settings: (brightness 4 and ambient screen on). I just purchased one of these to help with the battery of the watch. I will be able to charge the watch if I need to when I am out. It will also work to charge my phone so that should come in handy.
Someone should make a super small qi charger for all the qi enabled watches coming out. Maybe 750 MaH or something to give it a full recharge and then have a little extra.
Kinda like Motorola's little key chain thing, but qi
I dig the magnetic Qi charger idea for the iWatch... Why don't more companies play with magnets? It should be magnetic too. I would buy it.

Don't know about the last one yet, but it is Qi certified, so it should be OK. It is in my travel bag, so I won't use it on the Moto until I go out of town this weekend. It works well on my N5 though.

The answer is governed by Ohm's Law
Current draw is regulated by the device not the power source. Ohm's law states that the current through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the potential difference across the two points.
If you think about mains electricity, you can plug in a high current device like a kettle or heater to the same socket you plug in a low current device such as a phone PSU.
HTH.
I'd love to find a qi-enabled battery pack like this that has embedded magnets, so I can just stick my Nexus 5 to it, and put it in my pocket. True charging on the go. As it is, I either have to deal with a cable that I'm afraid I'm going to bend/break while I'm moving around, or use rubber bands or something to keep the my phone attached to the charger. Anyone find one?

The Qi 1.2 standard should be out about years end. It will support multiple devices simultaneously and can charge at a distance of about 2 inches. Backwards compatible will charge at a distance of about 30mm ish but still multiple devices.

Was it just a piece of double sided tape and a cap from a water bottle (dasani, evian, etc..)? Cause that's what I used.
Looks Awesome. But I would be afraid the charging pins would not line up.
