【News】New Oppo N3 renders surface along with some specs - Oppo N3

The Oppo N3 has been the subject of quite a number of stories recently. We've seen a few photos of the phone, two with a cylinder shaped camera that swivels, and another one showing a swiveling snapper that is similar to the one on the Oppo N1. Today, two Oppo N3 renders surfaced, both showing a design for the phone that resembles the latter photo.
The Oppo N3 is believed to feature a 5.9 inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. That happens to match the specs for the N1's display, and offers a pixel density of 373ppi. The Oppo N3 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 805 CPU and offer 3GB of RAM. The camera, which swivels 206 degrees, is said to feature a 13MP sensor.
Today, the Oppo N3 is released, and the USP of this yet-to-be-released smartphone is a stainless-steel outer body that is expected to be robust and will refuse to bend.
The expected non-bendable outer body is in contrast to Apple iPhone 6 Plus' reported bendable shell, which various users have reported after purchasing Apple's latest creative flagship.

Find 5 is Out of stock on EU Oppo site!

I'm so excited.
This is really IT.
I'm a huge fan of the G2 D802 but if the F7 gets it right, meaning, the promised 2K screen, the ridiculously large camera (50mb, WTF?!), some serious processor and getting the function keys on screen instead of the bottom part (which is so old fashion!!) then truly the Oppo Find 7 will be the best phone EVER and I'll lose my freakin mind because it's still not common in most places and I'll want it so badly :0)
i think it's to big, 5.5 screen is to much, my find 5 has 5.0 and it's already difficult to reach the corners..

This site claims a 13mp cam and SD800
Still, it looks pretty decent to me

yeah! same here, i was thinking about getting the htc m8, but with this oppo find 7 i think i just changed my mind... if they confirm that 50mp camera im totally in.
Confirmed specs so far
2 5.5inch displays,one QHD and one 1080p version
128GB SD Card support,
Removable battery,
LTE
and splash resistance
Rumors suggest S800 AB(1080p)S801(QHD),3GB RAM,a mind blowing 50mp camera and LED strip where the chin used to be on the Find 5.
This phone is so going to mop the floor with Samsung!
What for 50 Mpix if details are faded? What for if there is no optical stabilization? And what for if there is no good camera software like in Samsung is (many options, scenes and so on).
I am curious, but a bit sceptical.

Can;t wait. Changing my Find 5.
If I get it, it would be my first Oppo phone. If anyone have inputs on Oppo warranty experience, that would be helpful.
For me, its going to be between this phone and the OnePlus One. Unfortunately there isn't enough info and credibility for OnePlus yet. I am currently using the MotoX, OnePlus announced they will have the touchfree okay google feature, so that's a big deal for me. Custom roms is something I miss from Nexus as well, I know both companies work with CyanogenMod, but I don't know how popular the OnePlus One will be and how many devs will be working on it, so I'm more leaning toward the Find 7 right now. The price is going to be a big deal as well, since I've been used to Nexus and Moto X price and not willing to spend $600+ anymore. I'm guessing they will be in the low $500, but after VAT and at launch date I'm guessing the Find 7 will still be $600 or more initially, especially for the 1440p version.
For the camera, I'm mostly a point and shoot guy. I will use CyanogenMod with stock camera app anyway. I like the app Camera FV-5 if I want to fine tune it. Base on the 50MP samples, it will probably look as good as a very good 13MP and nothing more: http://www.gsmarena.com/more_alleged_50mp_oppo_find_7_camera_samples_emerge-news-7988.php Still, being 8000x6000 does give it room for editing. Fortunately for me I don't really buy phones for camera.

Any indication when this is going to turn up in international markets?
I won't hold my breath, but it would be nice to see an "all band" or at least North America bands that work on LTE.
I don't have LTE on my first gen note, so I probably wouldn't miss it, but, it would be nice to have it.
I'm pretty impressed, but not blown away by the specs. (No stereo speaker and the 50mp photo is software tricks, I knew about the removable back cover, but it doesn't look to have that previous Oppo's durability vibe, the back cover remind me of LG and Samsung plastic.) What I'm disappointed in is why they still keep the capacitive buttons. It's just unnecesary and make the phone larger than it is, which is the same issue with how large with both the HTC One are. I knew about the 5.5" screen and was anticipating the large size, but I was hoping they could squeeze it in a tighter package like how the Moto X managed.
It's actually about the size of the Note 3, I wasn't signing up for phablet size. After drawing the dimension of this phone on paper and super imposing my actual Moto X on it, which is roughly 1inch shorter and 1cm thinner, I think I will give this phone a skip. For those who can deal with Note 3's size, it's going to be a great device.
HTC One 2014 while having that HTC logo bar, still have a manageable size, so I might be interested if they have a Google Play edition, but probably not because it'll probably be overpriced like the current one. But also the HTC One is predicted to have 16MP camera, so suddenly the Find 7 isn't so impressive.
M8: 146 x 70.5 mm
Note 3: 151.2 x 79.2 mm
Find 7: 152.6 x 75 mm
Good thing I still have the OnePlus One to look forward to. I don't know, maybe one day I'll feel I can deal with the size.

OPPO give a 2 year international warranty. The QHD is $570 in China, so by the time it hits Amazon were looking at $599. Considering Note 3 32GB is $749,id say its a good deal, and it'll come with the O-band jogging accessory whereas the Note's fitband is sold seperate.
The 50MP snaps are really good, packed with detail, and there's no hump yaay. I'm eyeing the black carbon fiber F7,the way the phone looks its the same sturdy unibody of the Find 5 but you can lift the back cover.
I'm also watching oneplus, especially after talk of price < $400 and the 1080p Find 7 is $499 I want to see how much was shaved off.
I think i get one
And see what can i do with it ^^
Nice spec !

Leaked News:
OUKITEL is starting to work on a new smartphone named U20 Plus with dual camera design on back cover.
This is not the first device that designs two camera lens on the back. Other brands like Huawei, LG, HTC, Apple, Xiaomi already released some smartphones with dual rear cameras. OUKITEL is also joining this field to build dual rear cameras smartphones, but with most cost-effective price.
The model is named as U20 Plus, it will pack dual lens on the back, the main rear camera is powered by a 13.0MP (interpolated to 16MP) Sony IMX135 sensor. Combining superior hardware and optimized software with dual lenses, the U20 Plus will offer DSLR experience with more light and better clarity.
U20 Plus also offers the latest fingerprint sensor. Except for improving the unlock speed, OUKITEL will also pre-install more functionalities for fingerprint. It will divide long press fingerprint function and single tap fingerprint function.
A good camera ensures great photo and video quality, it would be more exciting if the display can show it in a perfect way. For showing the best effect, U20 Plus will get a 5.5 inch FHD display with 1080p resolution and adopting original SHARP glass for screen.
U20 Plus is planned to go to market at end of this month, and will be officially on www.oukitel.com next week.[/url]
Last week OUKITEL stated that they are releasing a new smartphone named U20 Plus with dual rear camera. Here comes more information about this new promising smartphone.
The most important feature of this device is the camera. It will pack dual-lens on the back with the main camera processing imaging and the secondary camera recording the image data, providing SLR shooting experience. The most obvious photo effect is that it will highlight the theme and blur background.
The main rear camera is adopting an original Sony IMX135 sensor. Originally it was planned to do 13MP mega pixels and interpolated to 16MP in software, but according to research among consumers, it's better to not use interpolation (finally). So this time U20 Plus will feature real 13MP Sony IMX135 camera and 5MP front camera, no interpolation.
Big battery is surely important for batter enjoy the device. U20 Plus will get 3300mAh big battery from SCUD with intelligent power consumption management.
According to OUKITEL sales team, U20 Plus will be the most cost-effective dual-lens smartphone. Presale is starts from this week.
Authorized stores will be listed on OUKITEL official website www.oukitel.com.
Below are main specs for U20 Plus:
Screen size: 5.5inch FHD, SHARP display 1920*1080, 2.5D curved, 5 points multi-touch
Network: dual SIM, dual standby, Micro sim+nano sim or Micro sim+TF
Chipset: MediaTek MT6737T Quad-core Cortex A53 1.5GHz
Flash: 2GB RAM+16GB ROM, 128GB expandable
Camera: dual rear cameras(main camera 13MP sony IMX135) + 5MP front camera
Battery: 3300mAh
OS: Android 6.0 Marshmallow
Fingerprint: back press fingerprint
Dimensions: 154 mm x 77.5mm x 8.5mm
Weight: 195g

How to distinguish a real dual-lens camera and a fake dual-lens camera
Recently many brands like Huawei, LG, HTC, Apple, Xiaomi and others already released several smartphones with dual rear cameras. Other manufacturers are also following their steps to produce dual-lens cameras. The produced photo effect is surely great if you use a dual-lens camera because it can reach the levels of a SLR camera.
When we choose it, we need to be sure that it's a real one. But how do we distinguish it then? Here is the way.
Working principle: main camera processes the image, the secondary camera handles the image data. Frankly speaking, the main camera is for taking photos and secondary camera is for handling the photo effects like blur background, deduce noise, etc...
Difference between a real dual-lens camera and fake dual-lens:
a. Among Mediatek chipsets, only chipsets above MT6737T can support two cameras working at same time, so if the device has an MT6737 (not T) processor, then it can't support it.
b. The fastest way to judge: cover the secondary camera, the blur effect will disappear for a real dual-lens camera.
c. The dual lens will both open when working
All specs of U20 Plus have been added to the first post attached. More details can be found on OUKITEL official page.
Another great news is that U20 Plus already started wide pre-sale flash sale on OUKITEL Authorized Stores.
Someone say that the U20 Plus design looks like iPhone 7 plus, but if you see it clearly, you will find that they are different.
See the first video about the appearance design of U20 Plus below. At first sight, it indeed has the iPhone style because both of them design the dual-lens camera on the top left and both of them getting rounded back cover.
U20 Plus gets 3 colors: grey, champagne gold, rose gold. According to OUKITEL product team, they will most probably make a Jet Black color that is the same as the iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black. But, it will come later compared to the first 3 colors.
As already said, it features a dual-lens rear camera, and the main camera is Sony IMX135 (13MP) sensor, here ( https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B7cZ8nZJjxovaGUxY1dtT3VHQ3c?usp=sharing ) you can see several photos taken by U20 Plus. Notice the blurred background.
U20 Plus gets a 3300mAh big battery, but it is only 8.4mm for the body. Though the back cover is not metal, polycarbonated instead, the back cover should give you a wonderful hand feel.
U20 Plus is still on pre-sale for the moment, with flash sale. Authorized Stores can be found on OUKITEL Official website.
OUKITEL said that the final software is confirmed and real photos taken by the U20 Plus are now available.
In the video, they took photos in outside, in a room and during the night. They also compared the photos taken in normal photo mode and SLR mode. At the end, they took a short video of an aquarium. YouTube Default Compression has been used so it might be a bit better in real-life.
As already said many times, the U20 Plus has a dual-lens rear camera, with a 13MP Sony IMX135 primary sensor while the secondary rear camera is only 0.3MP, required to adjust the SLR effect. It also features a 5.5 inches FHD display from SHARP.
OUKITEL said that the U20 Plus is on mass-production starting from this week, if there is no issues, next week they will start normal shipments. Consumers who already pre-ordered will get it soon. Also, the Pre-Sale flash sale is still running in some stores, but in limited quantity.
OUKITEL has reworked the design of the U20 Plus smartphone, planning to add the popular Jet Black color version, which is the biggest change and totally different exterior color from all the old models.
Jet black back cover is glossy. The glossy surface is achieved by running the device through a complicated process required to achieve the stunning perfect glossy appearance and to produce a mirror-like effect. As far as we know, all the specs and features are the same with the other 3 colors variants.
The Jet Black color will go on pre-sale online by the end of this month. According to latest news from the OUKITEL's factory, they have already started producing champagne gold version on the 7th of December. Regarding the date for the other 2 colors, we will update it soon.
So, which one would you rather get? Jet Black, Gray, Rose Gold or Champagne Gold? Just post it here if you want.
OUKITEL U20 Plus Vs. Xiaomi Mi5S Plus Vs. iPhone 7 Plus - specs comparison
As we known, OUKITEL U20 Plus, Xiaomi Mi5S Plus and iPhone 7 Plus, all are the new products in 2016 that used the double camera module for an high quality shoot. Regarding which one is the best choice, check out this specs comparison.
For those who are planning to buy a new smartphone for the new year (2017), just comparing the pricing, the OUKITEL U20 Plus will not burn a hole in your pocket.
Great device - just ordered the Gray version.
Mod Edit: Link to video containing selling links removed.
Here unboxing video from me.
Introduction
This is the OUKITEL U20 Plus.
Hardware
This device is powered by a Mediatek MT6737T SOC clocked at 1.44GHz, the Full-HD capable variant of the MT6737 (standard variant supports maximum HD), together with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. Unlike any other previous OUKITEL device, this features a Dual-Camera configuration, made of a 13MP rear main camera and 0.3MP rear secondary camera. Nothing special for the front camera, just a classic 5MP camera.
Unboxing
Packaging comes with some accessories: 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x 5V/1A USB Charger, 1x Quick Start Guide, 1x Warranty Certificate, 1x TPU Cover and the Smartphone (of course). A screen protector is already applied (mine was scratched so you won't see it here).
This is the second device i review from OUKITEL using an Unibody Plastic Chassis and it feels pretty solid (not superb, it is still plastic), much better compared to the U7 Plus (same type of chassis). Something i do not like at all is the position of Volume/Power Keys, they are on the left side of the device.
It is 15.39x7.75x0.85cm, as big as the U7 Plus, with medium bezels. As regards its weight, well it is heavy considering the type of chassis. 193g are a bit too much.
On the front side there is the usual 2.5D Curved Display and the upper front side of the device features a Front-Facing Camera, an Earpiece, and the Sensors hole that includes Light, Proximity and Gesture Sensors. A Notification LED is here, but it only supports one color: green.
On the lower front side there is the Touch Keys area, with Menu, Home and Back touch buttons.
On the back side there is the unibody chassis, just like the U7 Plus.
The upper rear side of the device features the Dual-Camera Sensors supported by a single rounded Flashlight, and the compact, rounded, Fingerprint Scanner.
On the lower rear side there is just the OUKITEL logo because the Speaker is placed near the Micro-USB port.
Device
Screen
The screen is great, probably the best Full HD screen i have ever tried on a OUKITEL device. Color Temperature is slightly high, but not too much, and everything else is just fine.
Light Sensor supports smooth light changes, this is its maximum brightness. Ok, this isn't the brightest screen you can find on a device, but it is bright enough for any kind of usage.
Viewing Angles are good, just like on all IPS screens, nothing to complain here.
Camera
First of all i am not a professional photographer so my photos might look a bit messy, i do not know how to handle this Dual Camera system properly.
Photos taken using the standard photo mode are good, the usual noise level is here, but every single photos looks pretty detailed. The old Sony IMX135 (13MP) sensor still works great.
"HDR off" on the left and "HDR on" on the right.
Here you can see some photos taken using the SLR feature, "Standard" on the left and "SLR" on the right.
Flashlight is powerful enough, but sometimes it seems to be a bit too warm making photos look a bit yellow, just like my glove here.
Macro Photos look great, detailed and with vibrant colors.
As regards Video Recording, the camera is able to record 1080p Videos at 30FPS, and the quality is decent. Check my sample here.
Front Camera is not great, but neither too bad (GalaxyCore GC5005). Sufficient for Video Chats. It seems to be a Wide-Angle variant though. Here you can see a cat-selfie.
Audio
Starting from the Speaker, its volume isn't super-high and lacks low frequencies. Unfortunately this is something common with OUKITEL devices. (except the C3 and C4)
As regards the Microphone, it works great in any case (in-call, VOIP, etc...), and the earpiece is loud and clear.
GPS
The GPS on this device confuses me. Ok, it was cloudy when i have tested it (check this photo) but it is weird to see that outdoors is able to lock many satellites (just like all OUKITEL devices), while indoors it isn't able to see any. I don't know how to evaluate this result.
Weather Photo
Indoors on the left, outdoors on the right.
Telephony, Mobile Network & WiFi
Thanks to the 4G Band 20 support (some other Chinese Smartphones don’t have it), I’m almost always and everywhere connected to the 4G Network of my Mobile Network Provider (TIM Italy).
4G Network Speed is sufficient, it highly depends on your Mobile Operator and mine isn’t pretty good.
WiFi 5GHz is supported here, and its speed mediocre. Something that impressed me is the ping, lower than my Desktop PC.
Battery Life
I have measured the real battery capacity using my USB Tester, and it seems that the real battery capacity is a bit higher than the declared one. (declared 3300mAh, real ~3350mAh).
This is the Geekbench Battery Test, somehow the battery runtime is low, definitely not acceptable for a 3300mAh battery. I assume this is a software issue, so i hope to see some improvements with an OTA Update.
https://browser.primatelabs.com/battery3/393303
As regards battery charging times, the 5V/1A charger is pretty slow to charge this big battery, almost 3 hours. I don't know why, but OUKITEL doesn't seem to like fast chargers.
Software
Just like almost all OUKITEL devices, also this one uses a clean Android 6.0 OS with some minor customizations. I know, it doesn't have Nougat, but OUKITEL has already planned the update so don't worry about it. Anyway, it runs smoother than other 2GB RAM devices i have tested, this MT6737T CPU is great.
MiraVision is here, together with other Mediatek Features such as Smart Gestures (double tap-to-wake, etc...)
There is no Gyroscope or Magnetometer even though the software doesn't think so.
As regards the Fingerprint Scanner management, it is pretty easy to configure, pretty fast unlock times with almost no issues with its accuracy.
As you may notice, the fingerprint settings menu is full of nice options. Interesting additions compared to previous OUKITEL devices.
Benchmarks
I have used 3DMark, AndroBench, Antutu Benchmark, Epic Citadel, GeekBench 3, GFXBench, PCMark (Work 2.0, Computer Vision, Storage & Work 1.0) and Vellamo to stress the device to the limit. I won’t test Games or Video Playback because there are already some related tests included in these Benchmark suites.
3DMark – GPU Performance is interesting, compared to the MT6737M it is an huge improvement.
AndroBench – Mediocre eMMC Performance, Write Speed is lower than average.
Antutu Benchmark – I won’t say a lot about this benchmark, this isn’t as reliable as others. I’m providing this just for benchmarks lovers.
Epic Citadel – 3D Performance is a bit low, the Full HD screen isn't easy to handle.
GeekBench – CPU Performance is nearly as good as other CPUs with the same configuration (8x Cortex-A53), i would have expected an higher single core score.
CPU
Compute
GFXBench – GPU Performance isn't superb as regards OpenGL 3 tests, but decent for OpenGL 2.
PCMark – Compared to the MT6737M, this is an huge upgrade.
Work 2.0
Computer Vision
Storage
Work 1.0
Vellamo – I might have expected some higher scores here, just sufficient.
Luckily this MT6737T CPU seems to be the real alternative for low-end devices, it isn't as laggy as MT6737M, and is able to handle almost everything without major issues.
Conclusions
Surprisingly balanced device from OUKITEL, i'm not saying that the Dual-Camera is useful or not, but the device itself, with a great display, snappy user experience and fast enough CPU/GPU, makes it balanced.
I consider this Dual-Camera feature an extra that is good to have (for those who like it), and it works great even though i still have to test other devices with the same feature so i can't tell you if it is working better or not than others.
So, do I recommend it? Currently it isn't possible to find any other device that is able to beat this for the same price, so the answer is pretty clear. Yes!
Pros:
Dual-Camera Design
Good Camera Quality
Great Screen Quality
Decent Fingerprint Sensor
Best CPU/GPU Price-Performance Ratio
Surprisingly Cheap
Cons:
Screen Brightness might have been better
GPS Signal is weird, great outdoors, poor indoors
Single-Color Notification LED
Battery Life lower than average
Heavy for a Plastic Unibody Chassis

Super easy to root as soon as someone creates a full-working TWRP recovery.
And you're welcome, if there is anything missing in the review just tell me.
Hello,
I have the phone for 10 days,
It is of good quality, I am happy to use it. I just had a problem on the front camera that no longer works. I think it's a software problem because the front works well and when I want to use the front camera I have a black screen. I would like to reinstall the firmware but for now I do not find it.
Thanks for your review
OUKITEL U20 Plus features a dual-lens rear camera and has been on sale for a while, now we have got a tear down video to see what's inside the body.
Hello,
Nobody knows when will be able to download the firmware ?

Thank you very much,
I will try to install it to repair the front camera
I keep you informed
Hi all,
Got mine a few hours ago from Gearbest, because I thought that at 90€ it was a decent price.
I then chose DHL delivery because for only 6.50€ I could have it from 1 to 7 days.
Big mistake, I didn't knew DHL was passing all the packages to the customs, taking 15€ too, so I had to pay 29€ in taxes in total at delivery...Which is way less interresting at 90+6.50+29=125.50€ :crying:
Anyway, here's my 1st impressions :
The thing is ****ing heavy for a plastic phone !
Good point is it has a silicon cover on it, bad point is it seems to have a very weak signal strenght, mostly the GPS signal :/
Charger is damn slow, it's written 1000mA on it, but I won't be surprised if it's only 800mA...
Last point from my tests : can anyone confirm that this phone can't do nothing in VR ? I tried VR games, Youtube 360 vids, nothing is moving when I move the phone
For now, i won't advise this phone, the only good thing is the screen to me (oh, I forgot : the protective film is shorter than the screen, which is pretty frustrating when you slide your finger from border to center of the 2.5D screen...).

Different sources state different things. But it seems this device doesn't have a gyroscope hence VR isn't possible (or at least not traditional VR). For clarification simply test which sensors your phone has by using Sensor Box for Android (or whichever sensor recognizing app you prefer): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.androidsensorbox&hl=en

>[Review] Competition in the Smartphone market

After weeks of leaks and rumours, OnePlus 3T has finally become official. The phone is an upgrade to the company’s OnePlus 3 smartphone launched in June 2016. OnePlus 3T features an updated processor – the Snapdragon 821, along with more battery capacity and a better front camera. The new phone is also more expensive and starts at $439 ( Rs 29,700) for the 64GB version and $479 for 128GB (Rs 32,000).OnePlus 3T is currently running on Android Marshmallow, but is expected to get the Nougat update by the end of the year. While OnePlus flagship devices are much cheaper compared to those from Apple, Samsung and Google, their performance is top notch. We decided to pitch the new OnePlus 3T against other 5.5-inch flagships: Apple iPhone 7 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, and Google Pixel XL.
Oneplus3T
OnePlus 3T brings moderate updates to the OnePlus 3. The phone features Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 821 processor (same as on Pixel XL) and has seen a bump in battery capacity, which now stands at 3400 mAh – compared to the OnePlus 3’s 3000 mAh battery.
OnePlus 3T also comes with a new 16MP front camera with Samsung 3P8SP processor. The phone will be available in two colour variants – Soft Gold and Bold Gunmetal. OnePlus 3T comes with 6GB RAM, but there’s a new 128GB storage version as well.
We had reviewed the OnePlus 3, and found that it comes with one of the best cameras among Android devices. This works well in both bright and low-light conditions. OnePlus 3T is currently running on Android Marshmallow, but is expected to get the Nougat update by the end of the year.
Apple iPhone 7 Plus
Apple’s new iPhone 7 smartphones have seen restricted upgrades over the iPhone 6s smartphones. Apple has kept design changes to a minimum, but bumped up performance with the new quad-core A10 Fusion chip.
The major upgrade was the addition of a dual-rear camera (12MP+12MP) to the iPhone 7 Plus that gives users the ability to take DSLR style photos, for example – taking ‘bokeh’ shots. iPhone 7 Plus also features an LCD display unlike the others in the list. The phone comes with 3GB RAM, and three storage variants. But it starts at Rs 72,000 in India making it the most expensive flagship on the list. The iPhone 7 Plus is also the tallest and widest phone among the four, but still manages to be the thinnest at 7.3mm.
Apple iPhone 7 Plus has seen a moderate increase in battery life compared to iPhone 6s Plus. It is also the only device in the list without a 3.5 mm headphone jack. In our review of the iPhone 7 Plus’ camera, we found the device to be a very potent low-light performer – the closest competition to which is the Google Pixel XL and S7 edge. The addition of a telephoto lens allows for users to take pictures with up to 2X optical zoom, something none of the other players offer.
Samsung Galaxy edge s7
With the Galaxy Note 7 dead, Galaxy S7 series is the only true flagship in Samsung’s lineup until the launch of the Galaxy S8 or possible the Note 8. This makes the Galaxy S7 Edge the oldest flagship featuring in this comparison. It was launched in February this year; all other devices were launched in the past two months.Samsung Galaxy S7 edge was launched in February and is still regarded as one of the best Android phones.
The camera on the Galaxy S7 Edge was hailed as one of the best in smartphones with special emphasis on its ability to take great images in low light conditions. The big 3600 mAh battery (highest among all four devices) makes sure the phone lasts a whole day of medium-to-heavy use with ease. The 5.5-inch Super AMOLED curved display is also a highlight of the device. Galaxy S7 Edge will be getting the Android Nougat update soon.
Google Pixel XL
The first device to carry the Google logo, Pixel XL (along with the Pixel) was launched in October this year, and is touted to feature the best ever camera on a smartphone. The 12.3MP camera sensor comes with a wider aperture and EIS, which makes for stunning low-light photography. Google is relying on software wizardry to bump up image quality on the Pixel phones.
Google Pixel XL is powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor – comes with 4GB RAM, which is coupled with 32GB or 128GB storage. The phone is significantly thicker than the others at 8.5mm. In our review, we liked the Google Pixel XL’s camera performance, both in low-light and regular lighting conditions. We also felt this phone comes very close to the iPhone 7 in terms of camera performance.
These 4 smartphone 's are ruling the smartphone market

ZTE Axon 7 Mini Review - Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 - 3GB RAM - 5.2 inch FullHD

ZTE Axon 7 Mini
Build quality & display
When it comes to size, the Mini is only slightly smaller than the Axon 7. In fact, the size difference is hard to notice unless you actually put both phones side by side. The Mini measures 5.8 by 2.8 by 0.3 inches and weighs 5.4 ounces, making it just a bit smaller and lighter than the Axon 7 (6.0 by 3.0 by 0.3 inches, 6.2 ounces), but not nearly as small as the more genuinely miniaturized Sony Xperia X.
The phone hasn't undergone any major changes in design, either. You get the same metal unibody build available in gray or gold, the same gentlyback, and the same button and port placement. a volume rocker and power button on the right side, a USB-C charging port on the bottom, a 3.5mm audio jack up top, and a SIM/microSD card slot on the left (which worked with a 256GB card). The back is home to a responsive fingerprint scanner set below the camera sensor.
The Axon 7 Mini's 1,920-by-1,080, 5.2-inch AMOLED display is smaller, and less sharp, than the 5.5-inch Quad HD panel on its larger sibling. It has 423 pixels per inch, compared with 538ppi on the Axon 7. That said, many other phones in this size range like the 5-inch Google Pixel, and the 5.5-inch Moto G4 also have 1080p panels. The Mini benefits from rich colors, great viewing angles, and a maximum brightness that's easy to see outdoors.
Performance
The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. It's a midrange chipset, nowhere near as powerful as the Snapdragon 820 you get the larger device. There's also less RAM, 3GB instead of 4GB. Unsurprisingly, this results in significantly lower benchmark results. The Mini scores 46,859 on AnTuTu, which measures overall system performance, which is a lot lower than the Axon 7's 141,989. It's on par with other midrange phones like the Snapdragon 617-powered G4 (46,260) and the Snapdragon 430-powered X2 (43,984).
That said, performance is still fairly smooth. While we encountered some stuttering when running lots of apps in the background, it wasn't any worse than you'll encounter on most midrange phones. A software update pushed out during testing seems to reduce many instances of sluggishness. The phone also handles games like Asphalt 8 and GTA: San Andreas without any difficulty.
Camera quality
Camera performance on the Mini's 16-megapixel rear sensor is solid, but it isn't particularly noteworthy. The phone takes good shots outdoors under brightly lit conditions, but compared with the 20-megapixel sensor on the Axon 7, it doesn't capture as much detail. In a shootout with the Axon 7 (in default Auto HDR mode), we noticed more instances of noise, a slower autofocus, slower shutter speeds, and notably worse low-light performance. The 8-megapixel front sensor is and still takes good selfies and video.

The good:
Sharp, colorful, and bright display.
Impressive sound quality.
Nice design and build.
MicroSD card support.
18W fast charge.
The bad:
Older, less powerful SoC. than competitions in the same price range.
Poor cameras.
UI not optimized for the 10.5-inch screen.
Verdict:
If you want an inexpensive tablet for media consumption and don’t mind a less well-known brand, the Alldocube X is the slate to go for.
Yes, Android tablet is still a thing in 2019, with major brands such as Samsung, Huawei and ASUS still releasing new slates, and several smaller Chinese brands such as Alldocube, Teclast and Onda still putting on sale more affordable alternatives. Although lagging behind in both popularity and functionality compared to the Apple iPads, some Android tablets do offer better design, better display and sound or generally higher performance-price ratio. The market for these devices is indeed shrinking, but still existent.
The Alldocube X is a metal-bodied slate which offers Android users a premium-looking design, a fantastic 10.5-inch AMOLED display and great sound quality. But does it match the best of the best in the game, let’s find out.
Design
Only available in one color at the moment, the Alldocube X looks neat and elegant. The metallic rear and curved sides give the slate an air of luxury.
The front is dominated by a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display. Bezels on the left and right are relatively small, but bezels on the above and under are quite big. It won’t win any beauty contest against the more premium new iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, but is at least on the same level of the Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro. A front-facing camera and a light sensor can be found above the display, the rest of the front looks clean, without any button or branding.
There is a fingerprint reader on the right side of the tablet, which is not the fastest we’ve experienced, but still admirably fast. It certainly doesn’t feel as instant as my Xiaomi Mi 8 or Vivo X20, but it does beat the in-display fingerprint reader on my Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
A USB-C port of USB 3.0 standard is also on the right side. Thankfully, you can still find a 3.5mm audio jack on the slate. Many may argue that almost everyone should own a pair of wireless headphones nowadays, but we do appreciate the option that we can still use our brilliant wired headphones with it to enjoy better sound.
A Micro SD card slot is located on the top side, but to insert a Micro SD card in the tablet you need to use an ejection tool, which is not included in the package that I received, but should be included in the retail package. I used the SIM tool from my Xiaomi Mi8 box and it worked fine.
A power/standby key and a volume rocker sit on the left side of the tablet. Both buttons have decent travel and give the users a tactile feedback.
Speaker grilles are located on the top side of the slate, an unconventional placement for this kind of devices.
The X measures 243.68mm * 173.14mm * 6.9mm, and weighs 495g. It does no fit in our hands as well as those 8-inchers, such as the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 or the Huawei MediaPad M5 8.4, but it shouldn’t burden our hands too much, thanks to the slim and lightweight build. Despite being so thin, the X feels extraordinarily robust, mainly because of its glass front and aluminum back. The build quality is as good as these top-tier products in the market.
Display
The X sports a gorgeous 10.5-inch display, which is the same found on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. It is the brightest and most vivid I have ever seen on a tablet. Watching the trailer video, we immediately noticed intense, saturated hues. The 2560 x 1600-pixel display is so sharp that we didn't need to squint to see those very fine details.
According to the colorimeter, the display of the Alldocube X produces an amazing 219 percent of the sRGB gamut. That makes it the most colorful tablet (or laptop) display we've ever seen, obliterating the 118-percent tablet average, as well as the ratings from the Surface Pro 5 (140 percent) and iPad Pro (122 percent).
The display is also super bright, emitting up to 460 nits. That makes for a wide range of viewing angles with colors staying strong at 80 degrees to both the left and right. The X tops the 425-nit category average and the 396-nit Surface Pro. And thanks to the super high-contrast AMOLED panel, the X has even better visibility than the 477-nit iPad Pro, which sports an IPS screen.
Sound
The Alldocube X offers top firing stereo speakers, which produce loud, and full-bodied sound. These built-in speakers can sound a little harsh at the highest volume, and lacks the kind of soundstage produced by the Quad Harman Kardon tuned speakers found on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 and new Huawei MediaPads. Still, they are much better than average and are definitely good enough for YouTube and Tik Tok feeds. For audiophiles, headphones or external speakers are still very much needed for music and action movies.
The X also comes with an AKM AK4376A Hi-Fi DAC, which is rarely found in a tablet. This DAC achieves -107dB THD+N and 125dB SNR, the best performance in the field as a compact DAC with headphone amplifier for portable audio products. It also has an impressive maximum sampling frequency/resolution of PCM 384 kHz/32-bit. Coming from the Xiaomi Mi8, my audiophile ears did notice a significant improvement in overall sound quality when plugging in my Creative Trio IEM. The bass has a lot more punch, the vocals are crisp clear, instrument separation and positioning are as good as some of my earlier DAPs. I even asked a few of my non-audiophile, iPad using friends to try listening to music with the X, all of them actually said that the X sounded a lot better than their iPhones and iPads, although they couldn’t really pinpoint where the differences were. Even the very demanding HiFiMan HE300, which lots of my phones and tablets struggled with driving, works decently with the Alldocube X.
System & UI
The X, at least the international edition, ships with stock Android 8.1 Oreo, with no customization on top, none at all. This is both good news and bad news. The good new is that there won’t be any bloatware, which normally comes with Chinese phones and tablets. The bad news is that this interface is not really tablet-optimized.
You won’t find anything similar to the DeX mode on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S or the desktop-style Remix OS on some other earlier tablets. The stock screen-split function works fine with most applications, but it doesn’t really give you that kind of computing experience the DeX mode offers when there are serious productivity tasks at hand.
Unfortunately, the Android ecosystem is going towards a direction which cares less and less about tablet users. Many of the tablet-optimized apps in Play Store were released years ago and haven’t got any updates in a long time. As a result, most of the apps we tried on the X were just phone apps blown up to fill the 10.5-inch screen, so the user experience on the X won’t really rival it is on an iPad.
Performance
The Alldocube X is powered by a MediaTek MT8176 processor, which has a hexa-core CPU (2 Cores of Cortex-A72 clocked at 2.1GHz and 4 cores of Cortex-A53) and a PowerVR GX6250 GPU clocked at 600 MHz. The funny thing is, this chipset, which was built in 28nm, was actually released in 2016 to rival the Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 950 and Snapdragon 652. Yet now it powers a tablet made for 2019. There is 4GB RAM to take care of multi-tasking. These are definitely not top-of-the-line specs for a tablet, and pale in comparison with the internals of latest smartphones in terms of horsepower.
In the Geekbench 4 CPU test, the X scored 1630 in single core and 3994 in multi-core, which is below the average score of mid-range smartphones, which are normally powered by Snapdragon 660 or 710 processors.
In the Antutu benchmark, however, the X clearly outscored the ASUS Zenpad 3S 10, which uses the same SoC., and the Alldocube X1, probably because of its faster RAM and more efficient Android 8.1 operating system.
The storage of the international edition of the X is 64GB, with a slot for a microSD for expansion. I inserted a 128GB microSD card and it works fine. The local storage is eMMc 5.1, which won’t rival the UFS2.1 storage found in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 and today’s top smartphones in terms of read/write speed, but it is still quite decent and matches the storage of midrange smartphones and other high-end tablets, as can be seen in the Androbench score.
In the real-world performance, the X is smooth and responsive in general, although it lacks the silky-smoothness found on modern flagship smartphones. There are also some noticeable hiccups in scrolling through homepages and settings, but we believe that’s more due to the animation settings of this tablet. Launching apps is very fast, but could still be slower than my Xiaomi Mi 8 while loading some big applications.
The 4GB of RAM is plenty, though. Even playing a 4K video on YouTube in the chrome browser, loading some image-heavy websites in many other tabs, and playing another local 1080P video simultaneously, the X remains smooth and responsive. The X can also keep apps in memory long enough so that you don’t feel like you’re reloading everything all the time, but when background applications are piling up, there will be noticeable lags and stutters.
When it comes to gaming, the X had no problem with most of the graphic-intense games at highest settings. “World of Warships”, “Shadow Fight 3” and “FIFA Mobile” all ran without a hitch.
But with highly demanding titles such as Asphalt 8, we had to use moderate settings to ensure playability as there were stutters and delays at the highest setting. The sound and visuals the X offers make gaming on it much more fun than it is on an average smartphone.
Video playback works even better. The X scored 872 in Antutu Video Tester benchmark and had no problem decoding all the video clips we played on it. It also has no problem playing all 2K videos in the YouTube app and all 4K YouTube videos in the chrome browser. With a dazzling 2K AMOLED display and impressive sound quality, watching videos on the X is the best experience we have ever had on a tablet.
Simple productivity tasks such as writing an email, editing a photo, splitting a video clip and making small modifications to a document generally work fine. Limited to what the Google Play Store offers, it is impossible to consider serious creative work with the X, or any Android tablet for that matter. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 and Huawei MediaPad M5 both come with a pressure-sensitive pen, and should enable users to do some sketching and take handwriting notes, but not much more. Windows-based devices are still more solid choices for productivity.
Cameras
The X comes with an 8MP front-facing camera and an 8MP main camera, both of which are of F/2.8 aperture, but both are simply just usable.
The images produced by the main camera are not satisfying at all – colors are quite poorly produced, and everything feels a shade too dark and fake.
The camera on the front works okay for video chats when there is good lighting, but it is not the kind of camera you want to take selfies with. Both camera support 720P video recording. However, due to the lack of any obvious form of stabilization, footage looks very shaky. These are definitely not the cameras you want to archive your life with, any entry-level smartphone could do a much better job at that.
Battery
The 8,000mAh Li-Po battery under the hood normally gives us 7 hours of screen time on a full charge. I got on a high-speed train from Guiyang to Chengdu on Feb, 4th, playing two episodes of “I am the Night” and a movie called “Overlord”, with the display brightness set at 50%, 4 hours later, I got off the train with 45% battery left on the X.
The X supports fast charge, and the stock wall charger gives an 18W output, which could fully charge the device (from 0% to 100%) in less than 3 hours. It is a big improvement from previous Allodcube tablets, which normally demanded 5-6 hour for a full charge.
Competition
Priced at $269, the X is not a cheap device. In fact, it is the most expensive Android tablet from Alldocube to date. In the same price range, you can find the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus (10.1-inch), which comes with an inferior 10.1-inch IPS display, but has a more powerful Snapdragon 660 AIE processor, higher battery capacity, and LTE support. There is also the ASUS ZenPad 3S 10, which is equipped with the same MT8176 processor, but pales in comparison in other dimensions. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 costs significantly more, but falls behind the X in almost all categories. In addition, the base model of the new Apple iPad released in 2018 costs only $60 more than the Alldocube X, but it offers many more optimized apps which can utilize the tablet screen real estate a lot better, and a much stronger brand presence. And for consumers who focus more on productivity, there are also many Windows-based hybrids under $300 on the market.
Below this price point, there are a bunch of tablets with the similar or even faster SoC. from less well-known Chinese brands such as Chuwi, Teclast and Onda, but none of those slates compares with the X in terms of display, audio, design and build quality.
Verdict
It is very disappointing to see a 2019 tablet powered by a 2016 processor, even the Alldocube X1, which was released last year and costs much less than the X, came with a beefier Mediatek Helio X20 Deca-core processor.
Also, Google Play Store is not really tablet-friendly. As shipments of Android tablet have been on a downward spiral for 15 straight quarters, Google’s very own new Pixel Slate is now running on Chrome OS and foldable phones are still clunky early prototypes, the eco-system for Android slates is only going to get worse for the next couple of years.
Also, given Alldocube’s infamous reputation of stopping upgrading the firmware of their devices after a year since the release, the X will highly likely be stuck with Android Oreo forever. For those who care about firmware upgrade of their devices, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus will be a more future-proof choice.
With that said, we do think that the Alldocube X focuses on what’s the most important for an Android slate. When it comes to brilliant displays, the X stands at the top of the mountain with a ton of color and brightness, with very few competitions. If you are looking for a tablet mainly for media consumption, the Alldocube X is an easy recommendation. The only other option which offers the same level of visuals is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, but that will cost you $380 more. Of course, it offers more horsepower, more functionalities and productivity with the DeX desktop mode and the S-Pen, but if these are not compelling features for you, the X will almost save you a fortune.
This is my new daily driver tablet now, just becoz of the screen and sound.
Ain't anyone else have this tablet?

Mine too, most devices with oled screens cost a fortune. So much nicer watching media with perfect blacks rather than the milky IPS LCD displays which always seem to have some level of light bleed.

Yes, I cannot even look at my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 anymore, even though it has a display which used to be considered top notch.

Doesn't the Tab S4 support Widevine L1? The S5E seems to have an even weaker processor compared to the S4.

It depends what you want to use it for. The processor on the tab S5E is adequate for browsing and streaming. It is also cheaper, lighter and has a better build than the tab S4. If you need the s pen or want to game then sure get the S4. However the S5 is rumoured to have Snapdragon 855 so it might be worth waiting for as it'll be a couple generations jump from the Snapdragon 835 in the S4.

The send generation Allldocube X will feature a Snapdragon 660 processor.

Is this your guess or do you have evidence / information that the second generation Alldocube X will feature a Snapdragon 660 processor?
And if so, when is the 2nd generation Alldocube X with Snapdragon 660 is going to be released?
Their marketing manager told me they had the plan in April, but no further news afterwards.

I saw lots of complaints regarding the battery life after a few months, how is it really?
