Anyone putting in their preorder? I really would like to know the release date. Online it says ships by 10/30 but when is the actual release date? I'd rather just buy in store.
Same question, though I've read in several places that it's also the retail launch date, with does not make sense....

anyone know where I can preorder a focus? I googled around and found some links to ATT, but that page just says 'coming soon' I know best buy is taking pre orders for the Surround.. but I want the focus.

Don't think you really can yet. I'd suggest calling up a local AT&T store and having them put you on a list or something if they're doing that.
Called two local AT&T stores and they aren't doing preorders. One store said to call back in November to see if they are then. Best Buy Mobile says they are only going to carry the Surround. I guess this could change by launch too.

I wonder why att is not allowing pre orders for delivery on the 8th of Nov? Normally they have a two day and next day shipping option. They should simply allow pre ordering and then ship on the 6th or 7th depending on what type of shipping you paid for. (When I ordered a phone over the phone years ago, two day shipping was free and next day tacked on a $10 shipping fee.)
This is as close as I've seen to a pre-order page, but it doesn't appear to be for any one specific device.

When is AT&T going to make an official announcement of what devices will be available, when and for how much? We all know that November 8th is the day and they are supposed to be $199. But is the $199 after rebate? Without Rebate? Also, Engadget said in their Focus review it would be the only device available November 8th. So will there be no Surround on launch day?
It's less than 2 weeks away and AT&T has yet to put down any firm dates, prices, etc. Their website still says "Coming Soon". I called my local AT&T store and they told me November 8th, but said to call back as it could easily change.

By could easily change, it'll probably come in a few days early like the Captivate did - they might get release to sell it early. Unless they're getting same day shipments in the morning, odds are the phones will come in Thurs-Sat.
The Surround is available at Best Buy exclusively, but there's no date on how long it lasts.
Does anyone know what the release date is for HK and TW?
I've been in contact with a local Chinese T-Mobile authorized dealer, and it seems that they offers unlocked phones. The only thing is, I believe they get their stock from HK or TW.

HTC in Hong Kong are very adamant that it won't be available until the 5th - never mind the fact that they sent out emails to people who registered to pre-order on the 2nd and the 3rd saying it was "available now". After asking a bunch of retail stores here in HK today, some still said they had no fixed date, some gave a date between the 5th and the 10th-ish, and a couple said they might have some stock available on the 4th - one being specific enough to say the evening of the 4th...
Thanks for your response, I couldn't find anything regarding One release in HK and TW has some sources saying released, but the retailers are still just taking preorders.
When I talked to the sales guy at the retailer, he told me to call him back in 1 or 2 weeks to see if they will have the phone. So I thought if I find the approximate release date for HK and TW, I could get the phone as soon as the retailer get it.

ordered one from a retailer taking in HK stocks on Taobao as im in China. Apparently stocks are coming in on the 4th so it should be true!

Can anybody tell me where I can find some demo units for this thing?
I went to a Verizon store, AT&T and Best Buy this past weekend and nobody has it on display.
This thing comes out on 24th right? I think Samsung is fumbling by not having demos ahead of time...
I've been looking for them as well, but my understanding is that Samsung is having a big party/announcement on the 24th, not necessarily releasing that day though. T-Mobiles are supposedly starting to sell on the 25th, but I haven't seen a release date for AT&T as of yet. Also I went to Costco and they said they believe they'll be getting them to sell right away which I'm hoping is the case as they always come with free stuffs (car charger and case usually.)

I brought my international Note 2 into an AT&T store today to get a micro-SIM. They crowded around me like a bunch of wild dogs.
So they have never seen it. There's your answer as to whether they have demos in-store. Hint: not yet.

hello to anyone who preordered a pixel phone from google this is my first time preordering with google store and im wondering if the phones get shipped before release date or on release date?
Normaly you get it at your door by the release date, but with shortages and supply chains issues I am not certain this will be the case this year. Also depends when you preordered it.
When you pre-order your device from Google, you'll be given a delivery date for each item you order (phone, pixel buds, wall charger, etc.).
