No I'm not, and I'll try my best!
Mainly, you'll have to depend on the support from our community much like I will be! And you have to understand that it will be a learning process for both us and we can only depend on one another for any support! So if you run into any problems, feel free to post! And if you have a solution, make sure to try and help another user out! :good:

(The reason I am not using the official link is because of the download speeds. It took over night to download it once. And that's not including the ~30 failed downloads. I will still leave a link to the original at the very bottom.) If you would like to add a mirror as well just let me know and I'll add it here!

It does not currently support Spanish. It only supports Chinese and English at this time. Sorry!

Nice, someone finally mirrored as the Chinese servers are to slow lol, but some corrections though the ROM does has LTE
Go to general settings > additional > service menu > switch the CDMA to USIM phone should force reboot > following this go back to the service menu and change the Network Mode to Global + LTE That's it.
Also there is another version that puts out updates every Friday here Download Link: http://www.miui.com/download-262.html
Original Source: http://bbs.sonyue.com/thread-96332-1-1.html if anyone can also mirror that one I'd appreciate it as I've had no luck getting it to download lol.

I believe in order to change it to LTE, we would need the Modem to be working. Because the current one tends to freeze MIUI when changing to LTE.
But after some research it looks like you have to flash both the modem and madmacks kernel for it to work. I haven't tested it myself though but I've seen some reports of people doing that back in the General thread. And I'll try and mirror that weekly one and just label this one 'stable' for more options.

Weekly is now up. I've tested it and there should be an update this friday as well via OTA. I'll keep the OP updated a week behind so users can just use the OTA to get to the latest.
This MIUI is pure Daily Driver material. Battery life is great, good performance/features, and GPS location lock is practically stock speed (like ~5 seconds on 3G). They really worked hard on this one :good::good:
Going to test the deep sleep tonight and report back tomorrow.
Update: After flashing the modem, I got a 5% battery drain after 9 hours with Wi-Fi on. So no different from any CM ROM you'll see around here.

Wow, this is one slick getup. The way they've seperated and designed the notication area really pleases me. I'm surprised that design hasn't been ganked by other roms. Mating this with a Cyanogenmod would result in some wicked magic, for sure. CM's awful notication area always maddens me.

This makes me so hype! I'm one of those (seemingly) rare people that really likes miui and have been hoping something with any kind of support would come to the G Pro. Can't wait to flash this tomorrow. Thanks for bringing us this rom.

Question: Do I have to use PTR, or would TWRP work?

I just checked the official form post and it looks like it's PTR or TWRP.

Tried installing it yesterday and no bueno. It wouldn't recognize the modem, no matter what I did.

So you were able to flash the modem and there wasn't any signal? Or did the recovery not recognize it?

The modem seemed to flash normally, but after I rebooted, it didn't pick up any network. "Mobile networks" was grayed out in Settings. I tried changing the CDMA settings but it FCed every time I did so and the settings remained unchanged.

Which carrier are you using?
And CDMA settings will FC regardless, it's one of the reasons LTE doesn't work at the moment.
Try going to Settings > Mobile networks > Network carriers and try setting that manually along with the APN.

I'm back on CM11 but when I was using the MIUI 4.10.27 build I had LTE working, you don't need to flash a modem or anything just install normally in aroma and when you get in to the Service Menu select Mobile Networks then click the option Global+LTE and and hit the back button and the icon should change to 4G. Just ignore the changing the CDMA Subscription to USIM step as it doesn't seem to work or effect the E980 so leave it at NV.

Also does your build include the LTE tethering script i sent to Pauli?

That's also something new, I have seen my wifi go to Authenticating then just say saved and not connect. I either long press on it and choose connect or turn my wifi off then back on and it connects.
I don't have data on my phone so I rely heavily on wifi. Seems it has only happened when I'm originally connecting to my home wifi, reconnects without issue when I get home from work everyday. At work, it connected without issue and has each time since automatically. Seemed, from my experience, to only have an issue connect the first time to the first network.
Has anyone else been having a lack of wifi?
You can try another kernel if you'd like, can't say if they'd work or not as I've never tried one. Thus I'm not sure which to suggest.
Tried smoocha and att kernel from this group wouldn't boot afterwards.had to reflash the ROM.
Was able to get WiFi working By flashing latest modem file.

Hello everyone,
With all the sweet, sexy Lollipop ROMs that have been posted lately, the one thing I noticed missing is PA.
So I built a buildbox and thought I'd do something about that.
I present to you: Paranoid Android AOSPA-Legacy (AOSPAL) 5.0 ALPHA 2 built from source for the d851.
I'll warn you: it looks pretty much like every other Lollipop ROM out there -- if you're expecting full-blown PA right now, but down the crack pipe and come back in a few months. My intent is to have a build of PA that gets in on the ground level and keeps up -- I know this project is going to be amazing once it gets going, and I want the d851 to be right on the bleeding edge (for once).
I'm very new to the git/gerrit thing, but I can repo sync like a bad mothereffer -- when significant updates are committed, I'll post a new build.
One thing I should note: look at my post count, and look at the questions I've asked. You'll notice I've been here for years and am a veteran of both Windows Mobile (from back when it was called "Pocket PC") and Android. I haven't asked a whole lot of questions because I know how to use Google and the search box. If you're downloading this ROM I'm going to assume you have an IQ in the triple digits and know how to use Google and the search box. If you post a question here that's already been answered somewhere else, it will be met with a cold, stony silence from me as I stare blankly at my laptop display and weep for the laziness of humanity. This is trial and error, folks -- and plan on there being a lot of both.
I built, downloaded to my phone, flashed it, and booted it up and it's what I'm running now. If you can't get it to boot up on your phone...well, either restore from backup or download again and re-flash, because there's nothing wrong with the ROM. Before I post any updates, I'll do the same thing.
So...if you're up to the challenge (or just want to see PA-Legacy 5.0): Welcome to the grand experiment.

2. Perform a full nandroid backup

Woohoo! We're now at ALPHA2 release!

Nothing to worry about, it's just a bug that can happen with any aosp ROMs at the moment. Just reboot and take note if it happens again. I don't think the cause has been pinpointed yet.

I am trying it as we speak. Thanks!!
That also reminds me....I'm using CWM recovery and I really miss TWRP. I was told that CWM has a much higher success rate and have been hesitant to go back. What's your $.05?
Everything seems to be working so far, just installed. Only major issue is Google Play Services keeps crashing
No gapps issues here, but my data won't connect. I'm able to use WiFi fine at home, just not Mobile data.

Could be the issue with APN settings that plagued the Toro Galaxy Nexus when we 1st started getting Lollipop. It caused Data not to function. @musical_chairs just recently had this issue with his latest build. Try flashing the APN fix linked in the post I provided.

I think it was the latest version when I built this rom
Anyone try this, or any AOSP rom, using a ls980 on Ting or Ringplus? I could never get data on anything but stock. Many AOSP roms and Sprint service worked just fine on my ls980.

I flashed this, and have no data. I do have calls, haven't checked texts.
I've tried a few apn-conf.xml swaps to no avail either.
What gives? Is it really impossible for AOSP on our ls980 for anything but Sprint?

I live in a European country(using gsm/wcdma),so I have no idea about cdma network on this rom, I have just compiled this from the latest cm13 sources.
Working CDMA EVDO on your LS980 you may has only in cyanogenmod13, i.e. non-slim rom (bliss, crdroid, pa, aicp etc.) Only 1 rom that I've seen with working data is rom from here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=51135 (by mrlika). I've using this rom, and all seems fine. This rom is unofficial, it has also theming, you can install it through latest "bumped" TWRP by blastagator from here http://www.gregtwallace.com/lgg2-projects/twrp/
But I've didn't test this rom for EVDO data yet. I've try it just after 3-4 days, when I've back to my home country (I've using gsm for now).
crDroid seems to work well on ringplus, if you set the ringplus APN as defulat

I actually tried that and it didn't work for me. The one thing I have yet to try is using Blastigator's twrp, so I guess I have one more thing to try out.
Edit: Blastigator's recovery did not fix the problem.

The Rom from Mrlika actually does work with data to some extent, but I only managed to get 3g after setting it as the preferred network. That does seem to hint that maybe there is a solution to this whole issue I've been having. I'm just gonna keep trying.

Did u try the AOSP Patch? http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...t/flashable-lte-fix-moto-e-6-x-boost-t3290719
I gave it a quick test and it seems to not work properly (even showing wrong provider) but I may have flashed it at the wrong time. I'm just tired of flashing constantly for days and am just using ultrapop because it actually works. It's not going to run everything as buttery smooth as marshmallow, but it comes close enough and doesn't come with all the hassle. Pokemon go seems smooth (unlike stock) but YouTube still has the slight judder here and there on 60 fps videos. I think for that small issue and the fact that I have to use pdanet instead of native wifi tethering is OK for a compromise. I don't want to get a new phone and this seems to be working fine for now. My recommendation, flash ultrapop and skip all the trouble I went through. If you figured something out yourself, tell me about it and maybe then I may try again.
i just install cm13. i flash the rom and the gapps together.
after i reboot, everything seems fine, except it did not ask me to setup google account.
went into setting -> accounts, no option to add google account.
try to goto recovery, got recovery boot certification error.
try to go to download mode, its stuck at the download mode logo, not download mode itself.
so now, i am stuck.

I can't express my thanks enough for this ROM. Variety sometimes a weakness of opensource, is great. I mean the Omni is a stable and a good ROM based on AOSP, which I like and has served me well for the past month or two.
But, I like the plethora of options available in a CR-Droid or Havoc style ROM. They include many items that I'd normally try to add anyway such as network speed in the status bar. AlthI'vough thie iteration of the Network speed feature I find very difficult to read. I do need stronger glasses as I'm no longer a young "whipper snapper" so maybe it's just me. I don't want to use the screen sizing feature.
Sorry , Just super excited. So far, and remember I haven't tried each option, the ROM has been smooth and everything seems to be working.
PS I saw the ROM just by chance early this morning EST when I just out of nowhere decided to search AFH for sophia ROM's and anything else I might find.. I saw like 4 downloads on the latest build and was so excited I immediately downloaded and installed it. I didn't take time to check XDA to see if it was released there or on a telegram or other group app. Fastboot all the way.
Going to get back outside and be productive I suppose while listening to whatever on my CR-Droid ROM with VIPER. and no GAPPS
Thank goodness. I'll have microg on by tonight.
Thanks again to both Rondeau, vache, testers and everyone who has made custom Firmeware a reality on the Moto G Stylus.
Having trouble with data. I remember the omni OP sold LTE data wouldn't work with Verizon but I never had any issues. 3g does work on this ROM but I don't know how to enable it without LTE on this one. I can't do it where you select those things as the only options are LTE/CDMA, global and LTE, GSM, UTMS I believe.
Any suggestions? I figured this ROM would use the same device code but I'm dumb on such things.
Sent from my Moto G Stylus using XDA Labs
thank you for this, I always loved crdroid
I was on the latest stock RETUS firmware and using tmobile and decided to give this a go
After installing it and booting to the homescreen, i noticed there werent any gapps so i twrp flashed pico gapps via https://opengapps.org/ along with Magisk v21 via https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases
So far it looks like everything important is working. Wifi, LTE, bluetooth, vibration, sound, GPS, gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity
For what it's worth, SafetyNet passes as well!
Edit: I see the device name is listed as moto g8 power not sure if it matters

This is the same device as the G8 power, just with a smaller battery and a stylus.
I have been running this ROM on my stylus since I built it. Gotta work a few issues out. Want to make this official soon.
I have no data.
I've tried editing the apn in the phone and also creating an apn file for the system/etc but still nothing. If I make an apn through settings, it doesn't get saved.
I didn't see an APN file in the system after I did systemless root but I had no connectivity after flashing the ROM.
Pratt flashing this onto my Moto G stylus and every time I flash system it has a failed error and product failed area can you play stay up

Download the latest and/fastboot platform tools.
Extract the zip and launch a command prompt window from that directory.
Then flash all the needed image files.

The phone is carrier locked and I'm thinking maybe I need to flash an unlocked modem? I don't know if that is the cause but I can't locate the native APN file, putting it in system/etc has not worked.

Perhaps if you try going back to the stock ROM and making sure that VoLTE is enabled in Network Settings and then confirming you have 4G, you should still have it when you wipe and flash a custom ROM such as this.
I had LTE issues on my other Motos and this is the solution which worked for me.:good:
While trying to sideload gapps through stock recovery I get a signature verification error. I've tried through twrp but the file system is encrypted so I can't locate the gapps package.

Google fi?
just a question but is there anyway this would work under google fi? I've already unlocked the bootloader so the question is whether I would get coverage.

You would need a Sim unlocked device for it to work on that service provider. Unlocking the bootloader has nothing to do with a cellular carrier.
If the cellular service is GSM you should be good to go. Most Verizon variants probably won't be compatible.
Get that one + Sim from BestBuy, you should be alright..
i really want to try this rom out but i dont have much experience installing the Gapps after the fact. Do i just download whatever package i want from opengapps website and use twrp to flash? Also do i need to remove or wipe my old OS before attempting to flash this one with fastboot?
