power and volume buttons are unresponsive, and bootloader said unlocked before I installed the recovery.
Any ideas?

Pics attached.
Please advice

How to s-off the device..

Red triangle whne going into recovery HTC desire eye
The red Triangle that you see while accessing recovery on your HTC desire eye is the 'Stock Recovery' ,in order to access stock recovery you need to click volume up and down button at the same time and then press power button and release all buttons after half a second and then voila!, you are now in stock recovery.

[Q] Stuck in rooting process and need some help

I tried rooting my Tmobile branded Desire with the coldgardmethod i followed the procedure and everything went fine untill i fllowed the next steps
- In the terminal window, enter either 'step1-windows.bat', './step1-mac.sh' or './step1-linux.sh' as appropriate.
- Navigate to the 'BOOTLOADER' and then 'RECOVERY' option on the menu, using the volume buttons to move and the power button to select.
- When a black screen appears with a red triangle, press and hold 'Volume Up' then tap 'Power'.
I proceeded with step1-windows.bat after this I navigated to bootloader and choose recovery this is where the problem started and my phone freezes and is stuck in the pink tmobile boot circle. I never get to the black screen with the red triangle.
I've been trying since to boot my phone, i can get into the bootloader but when I choose boot or recovery it freezes. Anyone have a suggestion?

Tried installing OTA on Rooted phone

Hi,
I had rooted my phone and was using a custom rom with android 2.3.7. Since the phone was lagging and slow, i though of downgrading to 2.1 OTA.
I flashed a 2.1 OTA file via the recovery mode. Now the phone is not booting up and also not entering the recovery mode. While trying to enter the recovery mode, a RED TRIANGLE and an exclamation mark is what is showing. At this point, if i press volume up button and power button together, its going into the Android system recovery mode.
Also i'm able to get into the FastBoot Mode by pressing volume down and power button together. But i've no idea how to use these modes (FastBoot and Android System Recovery).
Please help me out in recovering my phone..
Thanks in advance
I had the same problem, I couldn´t install the official software any more.
I advice you to install HEROINE ++, if you want the stock HTC rom without all the bloatware and also more performance improvements.
I'm using elelinux, with android 2.3.7 and I can tell you, it works like a charm.
And another reason why I would advice you to use elelinux is because android 2.1 doesn't support much apps anymore. Most usefull apps require at least android 2.2. So you should really consider staying at 2.3.7 and then with elelinux.
Cheers.

[Q] Stuck on Splash Screen - CM10

Hello All,
I have a Rogers HOX. Once rooted I proceeded to flash the file named "cm-10.1-20130312-NIGHTLY-evita.zip " found in the downloads section on cyanogenmod's website.
I then did a full wipe, flashed the ROM, flashed gapps and then hit reboot and chose "System".
Ever since, the phone just gets stuck on the CyanagenMod splash screen and stays there.
I try to get back into the Fastboot mode, but it doesn't do so. I hold the Power + Volume down button but the 3 capacitative buttons flash a few time, the screen then goes blank and stays that way until I remove my fingers from the Power + Volume down buttons and then the phone boots and goes to the CyanagenMod splash screen and stays there.
Also, I did not flash boot.img.
Any help on how to get my phone to work again?
Im a noob in these things and first time user with Android. All your help would be most appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Flash the boot.img
And go to the appropriate forum section. This is all for the endeavouru and not for the evita
But try this :
Adb reboot bootloader
If that does not work, hold the power button & the volume - button together as long as it takes to see the bootloader. I know you tried this but it seems you didn't press one of the 2 properly.....
Oops

TWRP/CWM recovery mode not found
hi
im using sony xperia ion lt28h.
according to this link> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2634375
I've followed every instruction. CWM and TWRP is installed on my device. I've downloaded this app called "rom manager" and it shows that two recovery apps are installed.
But according to the instructions, it is said that to enter twrp recovery mode, hold volume button up and blue lead will appear following the recovery command screen. For cwm, hold volume button down.
My problem is, when i reboot and hold volume button up, the blue led flashes only for 2 seconds approx and my phone only carries a restart and nothing else. If i hold it down, no flash of led appears and the device carries a normal restart and no twrp or cwm recovery screen.
And i cannot update my phone from jelly bean to kitkat following this link>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2682782.
Any suggestion how to enable twrp recovery screen while reboot on a installed twrp app for xperia ion would be so much helpful.
Thanks.

You can't install official KitKat in Xperia ion. Regular software update service from Sony has been already stopped (last was 4.1.2) but you can get lots of unofficial ROMS which are running upper version of android...!
To solve the problem, first of all flash your phone via flashtool then unlock your bootloader and again flash Doomkernel....!
then you will get both CWM and TWRP easily...!
All d best !
CWM-TWRP is not working
dear dev i followed ur instruction and at last it says all done enjoy dual recovery but when i press up button while booting nd down button also it is not showing any recovery my bdevice is xperia ion LT28H

[Q] Stuck on HTC Boot Screen

Hi everyone...
Complete ageing newbie here so please be gentle.
I've just been given a HTC Desire that can't seem to get past the boot screen.
By doing a bit of research, here's what I know about the phone. The bootloader has been unlocked and it's been rooted. It also has a ROM called MildWild installed I believe.
I have manged to access recovery mode and it says it is running ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.0
If I attempt to activate any of the options in recovery, i.e. 'wipe cache partition', I get taken to a screen showing half an orange circle wearing a top hat if that means anything to anyone.
It doesn't actually do anything else from this point and if I press the power button it just takes me back to the list of options to reboot, apply update from sdcard etc.
That's about as much as I can tell you I'm afraid and was wondering if anyone could help me to get the phone working again.
Many thanks in advance.
I
When using that recovery, press the middle button to select options not the power button.
If you are s-off, I recommend you flash 4EXT recovery touch via fastboot, it's better overall.
Use bortak's troubleshooting guide stickied to the top of q&a to get it booting again. You may simply need to full wipe and flash a new ROM. Check hboot and sdcard partition requirements foot each ROM first.
