Amazon Underground App - Amazon Fire Phone

I've added the Play Store and Play Services from this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3206603
Anyone have gotten the Amazon Underground app to work. I've tried downloading it from the app store and it doesn't install. Tried downloading the apk and still doesn't install. I removed the Amazon shopping app with titanium and tried downloading and still won't install. Anyone know how to get the Amazon underground app to install?

Don't think it's possible. Certainly Amazon don't think so. If you fire off an email lamenting this fact they'll give you 5000 coins to spend on the appstore.

Sadly you may have missed the boat on that. Which is a shame as the 5000 coins are preferable to the ad ridden guff on underground. Maybe straight up demand the coins on the basis that others have received them?

App Refund

Hi all.
I would like to know how to get refund from Windows Phone Marketplace?
I've found some old instructions, but they are not working anymore and I can't find it anywhere on their site.
Please help...
I don't think it's possible. Before buying app, you should saw the warning: something like "That purchase is non-refundable and can not ... blah-blah-blah". By pressing "Buy" button you've agreed with these terms & conditions.

See the Terms of use:
6.9. Refund Policies.
All sales are final and nonrefundable unless otherwise provided by law or by a particular Service offer.
Provided you have extenuating circumstances, a refund is very possible. You'll need to chat with a representative:
https://support.live.com/default.aspx?productkey=oepwp7cf&brand=oepwp7&mkt=en-ww&
For example... I downloaded Bullet Asylum about an hour before it became available in the Marketplace on my phone. I found it on the Marketplace via my web browser and made the purchase, cuz I was so excited to play the game. A week later, I was fiddling around with my phone and looked up BA in the Marketplace. I had the option to buy it, but it wanted to charge my account again. From the game that was already on my phone, it wasn't showing as updatable AND I wasn't able to send a reinstall link from the website. This was forcing me to purchase the game a 2nd time if I wanted to reinstall it... all due to a small glitch.
So, I got on with a rep via chat, explained everything and had the email purchase confirmations to prove it. Rep had to call me to verify my account/identity. Great conversation, understood the problem, and provided a refund.
So... yes... if the circumstances are right, and a refund is warranted, then it can be obtained. Chat support has been very helpful both times I've used them.
Just curious: how much you evaluate your time? Hmm, spending so much time for $0.99 or even $2.99 is too expensive for me, for example

Like I said... a refund is possible, but pretty much only if MSFT made an error.
Yes a refund is possible! I was refunded already because I was charged twice by the same app I contacted Zune support and they emailed me in my language Portuguese and saw the problem and refunded me! I was refunded too once because I bought one app and now it's not anymore on marketplace its name is perfectscan i reseted my phone and wanted to install the app and couldn't because the app wasn't available anymore.

So the refunds are only available for errors, not for those who find out that the app doesn't work correctly and just want money back.

Too bad....it doesn't work like that....
They won't refund you for such a reason...
I purchased a game on my phone, got double billed (billed twice for the same game).
I just fired up a "Zune marketplace Chat support session". Explained what happened, refunded immediately!

No unfortunately not. Because, most apps and games come with trial mode. So you could try before you buy. However, for apps that don't offer trials modes, if the reviews and screenshots don't justify value of it, then I don't buy it.

[5-16-14] $20+ in Free Amazon Apps (Coins)

Figured I would pass this along here in the S5 forum for anyone interested.....
Today only (5/16) go to Amazon Appstore and just to the right of the FAOTD there is a banner for 8 free "photo" apps. Go to this and click to install each one. You don't actually have to install them can just hit cancel after it downloads. For each of these apps you get 100 free coins so doing all will give you at least 800 coins ($8.00 for apps).
Then, go to the Amazon app store on your PC and log in. Go to Kindle apps and search for GTA: San Andreas app. Unless you have a Kindle the app will not be compatible with all your devices but will let you purchase it anyways. The app is $6.99 (699 coins) but with purchase you get 2000 Amazon coins ($20 worth). So you can use the 800 coins from earlier to buy the app and then get another 2000 more.
Now you have $20+ to spend on apps without ever spending a dime. :highfive:
Thanks for the tip worked great!!

The 8 apps are today only I believe. The GTA deal is good until sometime in June. I'll have to look a bit later to verify.

Excelent!
BTW for the GTA game:
Where's my app?
Kindle Fire tablets: Access quick settings → Sync then go to Apps → Cloud to see your newly purchased app to download and install.
All other Android devices: Open the Amazon Appstore on your device, then go to Menu → My Apps → Cloud → Refresh to see your newly purchased app to download and install.

Looking for Modern Combat 5 Amazon version

Google Play version does worth with Amazon game controller, I just needed to pull out the Logitech K400r keyboard/mouse dongle out.
---- Old post:
Amazon pulled Modern Combat 5 from their app store, not sure why, can't find any info on it. So if anyone still has it installed, can you make the apk of it available to me? The google play version doesn't seem to work with the game controller on the AFTV.
thanks

It actually was free on the Amazon App store. Was on it for at least 3-4 months, since I got my AFTV in Aug I think, till recently. Which is why I paid for it on Google Play, thinking it was going to work with the gaming controller, since the one I had from Amazon App Store did. This is why I'm asking if anyone has the apk for it. I had it installed till recently when I did a fresh install for the HD I got for my AFTV.
It would be nice to be able to actually play the game I purchased.

It was not free, cause I just bought it a bout two weeks ago after getting fiinished with Shadowgun.
---------- Post added at 04:11 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:03 AM ----------
As we speak Modern Combat 3 is $4.99 on amazon and Modern Combat 4 is $6.99, so why would they make Modern Combat 5 free? Makes no sense. It wasn't free when i purchased it around two weeks ago.

You seem to be lost here.
Go to your Amazon account, look up You Apps & Devices and try to find Modern Combat 5. You will NOT. As I stated, it got pulled from the Amazon App Store. It didn't cost on the Amazon App Store, it was free. It was there for at least 3 months that I know of. That being said, I did NOT have a problem buying it from the google play store, I am more then willing to share a screenshot of what apps I have purchased from the google play store, with it being the last one I bought, on 1-13-2015.
The problem is, the MC5 from Google Play store doesn't work with the Amazon Game Controller. The one that was on Amazon App Store did. This is why I am asking if anyone has the apk for it, so I can play my purchased content with my game controller.

How much is Amazon selling Modern Combat 5 for? Can you find it? You claimed you bought it 2 weeks ago, so why isn't it listed?
Oh, you don't listen? Ya, I see that. reread my posts when you're sober.
Anyways, I figured out the problem I'm having with my PAID google store version, I needed to pull my bluetooth keyboard dongle out. For various reasons it take precedence over the gamepad. I didn't have the keyboard when I played it last.
I'm confused? They all cost money.. Maybe try using Google and see if you can find it?

I never said they were selling it at the moment, I said when they were selling it that it was never free. Its not an amazon at the moment, but that could be a glitch, cause I have seen other apps disappear too then return days later.

Well, I have no idea anymore. I am positive that it was showing up in the games section on the AFTV, for free, for at least 3 months, like Aug-Nov of 2014. Which I thought was weird at the time because MC4 cost money. I thought MC5 maybe made money from in app purchases. I didn't play the game too far, just enough to know that I did like it would spend time on it at some point.
And I thought the google play version wasn't working with my gamepad, but that isn't the case, so everything works out (cept for having to unplug my keyboard).

How did you get the Play Store version to work? Do you have Google Services installed?
I've installed it with AGK Fire, but the game wouldn't even start due to the lack of Googleness.

Then you need to pester amazon to allow the google services to be included in an update.
In regards to the Google Play version of Modern Combat 5 Blackout, it is currently being offered free on Google Play. I installed it on my Tab 3 8.0 only after seeing in the Play store while picking which apps I wanted to update. The game is playable on the Tab, obviously, but not on my Fire TV. As far as having Google Play services installed, I currently do, and my Fire is rooted. The game loads as it should, and I'm able to press a button on my Nyko Play Pad Pro to skip something in the very beginning of the game, but after that it doesn't respond anymore. I can't even do anything with the mouse except move the gun around.

[Q] How much can I do with an AFTV outside the US/UK/Germany?

I would like to give a friend in NZ an AFTV bought in the UK. He already has a UK Amazon account but Amazon won't ship there.
Just wondering to what extent Amazon geoblocks the outside world? I understand Amazon Prime, and other apps like the BBC, will block their streaming content internationally, but will he still be able to set it up and install other apps without a VPN?

Yes, he can use smart dns providers like Smart DNS Proxy or Unlocator to stream region blocked content.

I got the firetv for my parents mainly for Kodi. You can purchase movies on Amazon just fine. Kodi has a lot of benefits, nntp etc. that alone makes this box a great device.
I'm far from those places and use my fire TV as my main media player. I used droid VPN to access prime content but its all kind of crappy so I stopped. Once you're rooted there's a ton of stuff you can do with it and price to power it has no rival.

We should have a sticky with possibilities for root. For starters i need root for quicksupport/teamviewer. I regularly help family setup and fix things through remote desktop. Second is emulators. the purchased ones that work very well with the firetv. google play works very well. the possibility of a custom rom which is very close in the making. The Power options in Kodi shows up only in the rooted versions, however with the new release, there is a sleep shortcut as well. and the biggest is the expansion of base drive through SSD on NTFS which is still not possible.
As for the price difference. Firetv retail is about 100 + tax which is 109 here in California. On ebay its 120 shipped. Its about 11 bucks more.

For Fun - What are you doing with your $50 Play Credit?

As the title states.. Just to pass the time and have some fun while we all wait impatiently for our new phones. What will you be using your $50 Play Credit on.
Any awesome apps that are worth spending the credit on? Gems in clash of clans? Etc.
I plan on saving it for something a little more lasting than gems in a game. I'm thinking books, music or movies. Maybe an app or two if I find one I like. I usually get at least $1 a month using the Google Opinion Rewards app.
You can probably buy three Squeenix games with that money. ?

Hopefully trading it in for $35-40 Google Wallet so that I can buy a case and USB cable from the Google store.
DO UK customers not get this offer?
I'll just keep it for paid apps/games I see over time. I don't do the IAP free to play games.

Good topic! Mostly movies and games for my 3 rug rats
I think google should have given the 50 credit for google pay to help boosting the usage.
They were gonna go to My Little Pony gems until Amazon came out with an "actually free" version in Amazon Underground lol
Likely movies. Maybe an odd game or app here or there (not IAPs, just the actual things). Don't need music, already subscribe to All Access.
i will buy an other nexus .. LOL
Buy the Pewdipie's game, haha.
Buy one of the new chromecasts i think... the store shows that i can use play balance to pay for devices when i go to check out..

I think its only limited to games,, movies, apps, etc and not devices. If it includes devices then that would be awesome.
